Chapter 2
"What, you mean that kid that had the same eyes as me? Don't tell me there is a whole clan of him!" Hikaru said, intregued.
"Yes, how could you not know of your own clan? Are you stupid or something?" The blonde lady said, releasing his head, and standing straight up.
"Shut up! I'm not from around here, how should I know of them?" Hikaru retorted.
"So where are you from?" she ignored his questioned.
"Last thing I remember I was falling and when I hit the ground I went unconcious." Hikaru admited.
"Where did you land?" she asked.
"Near some water. I think it was an ocean. When I looked up the slope I saw something burning, so I went to look. It was a building. I ran. I don't know why, but I ran, and I didn't stop for a while. When I looked into the water, I saw my eyes. They looked like they were shining. So from that day on I took the name Hikaru, shining." Hikaru sighed, he rarely shared that with people, but once he started talking, he couldn't stop. "I went from town to town living off the land. Then I met Mai." he looked at Mai, still sleeping.
"So, you remember nothing from before the time you fell?" the lady asked.
"Nothing." Hikaru stated.
"She's waking!" the black-haired lady said. Hikaru saw Mai begin to waken. She tried to thrust her palm at the women. But nothing happened.
"Don't try it, we took them away." the blonde lady said. "Quite fasinating, those little poison launchers of yours. Must have taken a lot of work to make them. Pretty basic though." She played with a small red ball filled with poison atached to leather strap. "I know the poison inside knocks out the opponent instantly. It's activated when you send chakra into it. You fused it with your jutsu, so you didn't give away the fact it was a weapon. I'm guessing you were trying to be intimidating?" the blonde lady asked.
"Pretty smart for a blonde." Mai mocked the lady.
"Alright, I wanna know something." the lady said ignoring Mai's rudeness. "Where'd you get the headband?" she asked Hikaru.
"I had it with me when I fell." Hikaru replied.
"Ok, so you were once a leaf ninja. That means you live here. Which means I don't have a reason to kick you out. And it would be quite cruel to send you back to Kiri," the lady said to Mai. "so here, take this." And she handed her a leaf headband. Mai just looked at it in shock. "Izumo! Kotetsu!" the blonde lady said to no one.
Suddenly two ninja came in from no where. They were the one's that they ambushed in the jail, earlier. "Yes, Lord Hokage!" They said. So she's the Hokage, Hikaru thought, first time I have seen a female kage.
"Inform the villagers of their arrival here. Make sure they know they are welcome in the village!" the Hokage said.
"Yes!" they both said obediently. Then they disapeared in a puff of smoke. Hikaru and Mai were unchained and brought to the Hyuuga village were the Hokage thought it would be best for them to stay. There, they were introduced to everyone. Then they went into the streets to maybe meet some other genin. Since they were obviously skilled ninja they didn't need to go to the academy. They walked the streets, getting eyed by almost every villager. Then as they were walking they ran into the group of genin they saw earlier.
"Hey, it's you two!" the dog boy said. His dog began barking.
Hikaru slightly bowed his head and said, "I am sorry for earlier. I hope we didn't hurt you to badly." Mai also bowed.
"Hurt us badly? If it wasn't for the poison you would be dead meat!" Naruto shouted.
Mai was suprised when the kid in the flak jacket extended a hand to them. "My name is Shikamaru Nara." he said.
Hikaru took his hand and said, "I am Hikaru Hyuuga." They both smiled.
"I'm Mai Momochi!" Mai said, taking Shikamaru's hand.
"I'm Choji Akimichi." said the fat kid.
"I'm Kiba Inuzuka." said the dog boy, and his dog barked. "Oh, and this is Akamaru!" he said introducing the canine.
"I'm Naruto Uzumaki!" little did he know they already knew that from earlier. The Hyuuga boy said nothing, but when he made eye contact with Hikaru they both looked away. Mai sighed.
"C'mon. I'll show you around." said Shikamaru. Everyone but Kiba said goodbye to them, he tagged along instead.
After meeting almost every villager, Mai went to the Ichiraku ramen shop while Hikaru met up with the other genin. When Mai got to the shop she saw Naruto there. "Hey, Mai." He said. she replied with a warm smile.
"Did you say your last name is Momochi? Because a few years ago I met a guy named Zabuza Momochi!" Naruto said.
"You know my dad!?" Mai yelled.
"Yeah, I used to...He's, um." Naruto didn't know what to say.
"He's...Dead?" Mai began to cry.
"I'm sorry..." Naruto offered to buy her ramen, but she refused.
"It's ok. Y'know, I was training to be a member of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist." she told Naruto.
"We've met more members than just Zabuza." Naruto said.
"Like who?" Mai questioned him.
"Well, there was Zabuza, then Kisame," Naruto began.
"Is Kisame still alive?" Mai asked.
"Yeah." Naruto said.
"Of course, he's still alive. I never liked him." She told Naruto.
"And then there's Raiga." Naruto remembered. "He's gone."
"Oh..." Mai said tearing.
"You liked him?" Naruto asked.
"Raiga was my sensei when I was in Kiri. He always liked me most on my team. He trained me harder, more, he even tought me how to use his swords. I thought nothing of it. Then I found out he was one of the Seven Mist. He asked me to train to be one of them. Told me my dad was part of it. Me and my bestfriend Suigetsu. We both trained." Mai said. Suddenly an idea popped into her head. "Do you know where he died?" she asked Naruto.
"Yeah, at a little valley not too far from here." Naruto said.
"What happened to his swords?" Mai begged.
"Um, they're probably in the little curry shop. Just above the valley." Naruto remembered. "Why?"
"Because it's tradition for when a member of the Seven Swordsman of the Mist's swords to be passed down to a trainee." Mai said. It didn't take a genius to know what came next. She wanted the swords. So Naruto said he would ask the Hokage if he can take her there to get them in the morning. She was so happy she forgot about the food. She hugged Naruto tight and ran off to the Hyuuga village.
Arrival
In a small holding cell beneath the Hokage's office Hikaru opened his drowsy eyes and looked around. He and Mai were sitting chained to a wall. In front of them was two women. One had long blonde hair and a purple crystal mark on her forehead, she had a masquline look to her. The other was younger, had short black hair, and a bit more timid. She was holding a small pig. "So your finally awake?" said the blonde lady. Hikaru just turned away. She placed a hand on his head and made him look directly at her. He tried to pull away but it was simply useless. "I already know your a Hyuuga. Well, I know about your bloodline. Question is, do you?" The lady asked."What, you mean that kid that had the same eyes as me? Don't tell me there is a whole clan of him!" Hikaru said, intregued.
