Sasuke ~ Whatever: He doesn't own jack!
Naruto ~ Yea! I'd cry if I was actually owned by him. He'd pair me up with someone weird, like Izumo! Ick.

Chapter One: Fatalities
For a moment, just a moment, silence descended upon the office, as Naruto stared at Sasuke, and Sasuke stared at Naruto, and Tsunade just peered at the both of them, wondering what was going on, and how they knew each other. Naruto's eyes had expanded way beyond the normal realm of shock and were now entering the zone of egg-sized, but Sasuke could only stare, not even a trickle of emotion seeping into his usually blank expression.
Of course he was shocked, of course he was surprised, but it would never do to show that; especially not around strangers. Sasuke had had that imprinted upon his mind since birth; his father had been a very strict man.
“Who… who are you?” Sasuke asked, taking in the blonde's apparel and wondering whether it was the same blonde from his dreams.
There was an even more tense silence, before Naruto reacted.
“Who am I? Who am I? Who am I?” he replied, voice deadly and low.
“Um, yes, who are you?” Sasuke repeated, feeling uncomfortable at the serious hate vibes emitting from one very irate blonde in front of him. That seemed to be the worst thing to say, Sasuke realized when Naruto practically exploded.
“SIX YEARS! Six years go by and you forget already?! I'll bet you'll tell me next that you forgot about Konoha Inc. and everything to do with it,” the blonde shrieked, fist clenched by his sides.
“Well, yes, I have. I don't really remember much before I was eleven… b-a-k-a,” Sasuke replied, his cool mask slipping into place, only serving to infuriate the shorter blonde further. The insult was the last straw. Naruto flew forward and a huge burst of pain exploded in Sasuke's jaw and head as he stumbled back to crash against the wall.
“How dare you come back here and say that?” Naruto practically screamed at him, eyes bleeding into a demonic red color.
Sasuke was in shock. No one had dared to strike him, for fear of what he would do. Yet here stood this blonde, body shaking with fury, readying him self to hit him again.
“Well, what did you want me to do, dobe? Lie?” he retaliated, launching himself back at the blonde and sinking his into his solar plexus. Naruto doubled over, but even the powerful punch didn't stop him from glaring over at the angry onyx-eyed teen and counter attacking him.
“Well, not even you could be selfish and stupid enough to forget that,” Naruto yelled, finally ceasing his attack and collapsing in one of the seats Tsunade's office supplied.
The buxom blonde had been eerily silent throughout the entire exchange, wondering just what Naruto was talking about, and how the two boys in front of her were connected. Sasuke released his fists and stepped back.
“I cannot remember. There's nothing I can do about that, dobe,” he murmured, eyeing the blue-eyed boy, whom had put his head in his lap.
When Naruto looked up again, there were tears in his eyes.
“Yet you still call me by that dumb nickname,” he whispered, eyes closing again, as if in pain.
Sasuke wanted nothing more than to cross the room and embrace the teen, soothing him, and telling him everything was alright. That Orochimaru couldn't hurt them anymore.
`Wait, what? Orochimaru? Who the fuck is that?' his brain questioned, as he glanced down at the now sobbing blonde.
Closing his eyes and making a, possibly life-changing, decision, Sasuke stepped forward, crouched in front of the teen and whispered, “Look, I really can't remember, just bits and pieces. All I know is that Orochimaru can't hurt us now, okay dobe…”
Naruto flinched at the name and looked up with disbelieving eyes into Sasuke's own serious ones, trying to see something in them. He apparently saw what he was looking for, because he smiled and nodded his head.
“Yes, not now, not ever. I'm glad you're back, bastard. Though you broke your promise last time,” Naruto mumbled, slipping forward to press his forehead against Sasuke's chest. Not knowing what else to do, Sasuke wrapped his arms around the slender figure.
A soft cough from behind them reminded them both of where they were and what they were doing. Leaping apart from each other as if they'd been burnt, the both focused upon Tsunade, their faces tinged with pink.
“Well, I'm not quite certain what's going on, but Naruto, you need to take Sasuke to class,” she spoke, shuffling the papers on her desk around, as if that would lessen the work she had to do.
“H-hai, baa-chan,” Naruto replied and, grabbing Sasuke by the wrist, practically dragged the confused raven-haired boy out of the room. Once they were in the deserted corridor, Naruto spun around and slammed Sasuke against the wall. Pressing their bodies close together, the blonde growled at the other teen.
“So, are you still going to uphold your end of the promise,” Naruto growled, his eyes staring directly into Sasuke's, making him feel like he was drowning in the deep blue depths.
Closing his eyes to cut off the feeling, in a feeble attempt to save him self, Sasuke stuttered out, “W-what promise? If you t-tell me what it is, I'll tell you whether I'll uphold it.”
Naruto's eyes flashed with an unfamiliar emotion and a smirk that didn't suit the blonde's face crossed his visage.
“Why, you promised to marry me, of course,” he replied, gaze never wavering.
All the air in Sasuke's lungs evaporated and his eyes snapped open in shock. Mouth open and closing like a cheap imitation of a fish, Sasuke attempted to reel in his thoughts long enough to haul in a good enough response. He couldn't however, and he just stared at Naruto.
The blonde boy decided to take the initiative and pressed his mouth tentatively against Sasuke, and when the raven-haired teen didn't push him away, he grew bolder until his tongue darted out to lick gently at his bottom lip.
With a gasp, Sasuke responded to the kiss, allowing the gently exploring tongue to invade his previously untouched orifice. Time seemed to stand still for the two boys, until Naruto pulled away to breathe.
“I take that as a yes, then,” Naruto smirked, trying to reign in his erratic breathing. Sasuke on the other hand, was simply trying to get his pulse back to its normal rate.
“I-I, um, yes, I mean, yeah,” he stuttered once more, cursing his lack of cool at the situation.
With a happy giggle, Naruto's hand enclosed around Sasuke's wrist once more, but before they set off, he kissed Sasuke once more, whispering, “Don't forget who you belong to” before they set off at a brisk trot.
Dazed and confused, Sasuke just followed behind him to the classroom. Waiting outside like Naruto told him to, Sasuke wondered exactly what he had gotten himself into, when the door to classroom opened once more and he was greeted with the sight of a masked man with silver hair.
“Hello there Sasuke, I'm Hatake Kakashi, but you can call me Kakashi-sensei,” Kakashi grinned, well, seemed to at least.
“Hn” was the only reply got from Sasuke.
“Well, come in, and let me introduce you to the class,” the man replied, seemingly not fazed by the Uchiha's lack of interest.
“Class, this is Uchiha Sasuke. He's new to this class so please treat him kindly.”
“Konnichiwa, watashi wa Uchiha Sasuke desu. DÅzo yoroshiku,(1)” Sasuke mumbled with a slight bow.
Immediately, the room erupted with squeals from the girls and a few snorts from the guys. Sasuke ignored them all, his eyes only trained on one boy in the room: Naruto. Naruto returned the gaze calmly and the room fell silent, as students and teacher alike looked back and forth between the two boys. Sasuke finally broke the silence.
“Dobe.”
“What did you call me, teme?” Naruto screeched in reply, shredding a couple of eardrums if the looks on the surrounding students' faces were any indication.
Sasuke just smirked, ignoring all the girl's swooning around him.
“I called you dobe, dobe. You know, dee oh bee ee,” he snickered despite himself, loving the way Naruto's face seemed to ignite with red.
“Oh, you are so going down, avenger boy,” Naruto snarled and launched himself across the room to pounce upon Sasuke.
“Oh yeah, fox butt? I'd like to see you try,” Sasuke retorted, the familiar response, rising unbidden to his lips.
Both boys froze, before Naruto sat back on Sasuke's lap, from the teen's position of lying on the floor, and laughed. Sasuke snorted as well, and folded his arms over his chest, as if to say, “either you move or we stay like forever. I'm not wasting my energy on trying to move you”.
Naruto just replied by sticking his tongue out, meaning “well then, you're not going to get very far are you”.
The class was still silent while they looked between the two boys before Naruto was forcefully tackled off of Sasuke, and Sasuke's face was filled with a bright pink wave of hair.
“NARUTO, get off of Sasuke-kun, you pervert,” an irritatingly loud voice pierced his eardrum and bright green feminine eyes peered down into his own glaring ones.
“I'm so sorry Sasuke-kun. Naruto's a loser, so don't worry about him. I'm Haruno Sakura, and my daddy is the chairman of this school.”
Sasuke could feel a twitch developing in his eye and so could Naruto. Both boys glared angrily at her, but she either seemed to not notice, or just didn't care. Ignoring the flinch of Naruto's body when grasped Sasuke's hand and pulled him to his feet, Sakura tried to guide Sasuke into the seat beside hers. Naruto was just about ready to snap, as was Sasuke, when Kakashi, sensing danger, told Sasuke to go and sit at the back beside Naruto, so they could get on with their class.
Sasuke gratefully slid his hand from between Sakura's own clammy one and glided to the back of the classroom elegantly, sliding dignifiedly into his appointed seat, exactly the opposite of what the now slouching blonde had done.
Naruto knew he had nearly let Kyuubi out, in order to protect his mate and wondered how long it would be before Sasuke snapped as well. Perhaps it was for the best that Sasuke didn't remember the horrors of Konoha Inc. In fact, if it hadn't been for Kakashi and Iruka, Naruto might still have been there.
Fortunately, he, Gaara, and Neji had all been saved, none of them knowing where Sasuke had gone, or whether he was coming back. Both Gaara and Neji were in different classes, but he pondered whether they would recognize Sasuke, and whether Sasuke would recognize them.
Sasuke in the meanwhile, was wondering exactly what was going on with him. The tattoo on his shoulder he'd had since as long as he could remember had felt hot when Sakura had pushed Naruto from him and he'd felt the urge to rip the girl to shreds. Thankfully, he'd managed to quench it by the time Kakashi had relocated him. In fact, he'd calmed right down when he'd learned he'd be sat by his fiery blonde. Life was becoming a bit too complicated for Sasuke's liking but as he stared over at his daydreaming blonde, he calm to the realization that, if it meant holding unto Naruto, he really didn't mind after all.

A/N: Well, the end of chapter one. Yes, all the chapters are going to be around this length which means I'm going to change it from seven chapters to around 15 or twenty. This was never meant to be a novel, just a bit of fun on the side while I focus on my other story. Also, I'm working on an original fic, but I'm not going to post up the prologue or chapter one for that until I've finished chapter eight, so I can at least update regularly for eight weeks. If I get my butt in gear, I can have all my fanfics running smoothly. I'm hoping this one will be the first to finish, as I want to start another fic that has been floating around my mind for a while now. However, I'm trying to stay focused on this and `Color of the… eyes?' and even the new fic. Well, ja ne for now, ne?
