I do not own Naruto, never will, but I wish above all else that I did… I do, however, own the characters in this story that do not have to do with the original Naruto series. Please, don’t sue; I don’t have any money to give you…

Sure, he was bruised, battered, and battle-worn, but the other people were in worse condition. “I have no need for you guys, but that doesn’t mean I’ll let you live.” Nor did it mean that he would kill them, but if they kept this up, he just might. Quickly, he picked up a rather large, heavy looking sack and started off towards the one place that he could call home.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~
Naruto smiled at his bowl of pork ramen. Him and Hinata were hanging out for the second time since Sasuke had left, not counting missions. “Hinata, are you sure you’re not hungry?” He was paying, one of the reasons 12 or so empty bowls were stacked up in a tower beside him.
“Y-yes, Naruto-kun.” She said as she stared at the bowl that Naruto had gotten for her. “I-I’m sorry that your m-money was wa-wasted on me, Naruto-kun, b-but I’m not hungry. S-sorry…” Really, she was, but she had eaten a rather big breakfast, insistence on her father’s part.
“That’s ok, Hinata, I won’t force you to eat it.” Naruto said before finishing off the last of his Ramen. ‘Why is it that she stutters and looks down when she’s talking to me? She only does this around me…’ He thought as he paid for the meal and stood up. “I’ll walk you home if you want.” ((No, it’s not a date; Naruto’s just being a gentleman.))
Hinata looked like she was going to faint at this. Knowing that she wouldn’t last the walk if Naruto were to be walking next to her, she shook her head. “S-sorry again, Naruto-kun, but I’ve got to go shopping before I leave on a mission tomorrow morning, and Kiba-san and Shino-san need me to help them get ready..” Yes, she did have a mission tomorrow; and it was, currently, a convenient excuse.
Naruto looked at the street, people were glaring at him, but they knew that it would not do anything to faze him any more. They knew that Naruto would just ignore them. “Well, I don’t have any missions for a while now, so I’ll still be here when you get back if you want to hang out, or spar with me.” Yeah, that was one of the reasons why he wanted to be Hinata’s friend. She would be able to spar with him whenever he wanted to spar with her, and was happy to do so. Also, she was one of the few people that he had told about the Kyuubi, she had taken it quite nicely, after many questions.
Naruto and Hinata parted right there, Naruto heading towards the training grounds, and Hinata towards the market.
When Naruto made it to the training grounds, he looked up to see a half dead girl walk out of the forest, several ninjas following her. He could tell by the mask that those ninjas were ANBU members. Quickly, and with out thinking, Naruto took off towards the girl, using his chakra to propel himself forward.
He managed to get to her before she passed out. Naruto was immediately covered with blood, which had covered the girl. An ANBU member walked up to him, and he looked up at the masked person with annoyance on his face.
“Naruto, she’s from a neighboring village. We weren’t trying to kill her.” He tried to explain quickly since Naruto was looking like he wanted to kill the next person who approached him. “We were trying to help her. She refused our help and continued on ward. When she entered the village, we weren’t sure if she was a threat or not. That’s when we noticed that she was badly injured and bleeding. Quickly, we have to get her to Tsunade-sama, or she could die.”
Naruto had ignored everything but the last sentence. “I’ll take her. I’ve got more chakra than all of you combined, and you know it.” With out saying another word, he picked the girl up and took off running towards the Hokage’s tower, using his chakra to propel himself forward. To every one around him, he was moving to fast to see, and was merely a breeze.
After running for all of five minutes, Naruto broke Tsunade’s window and herd the beginning of the old lady trying to yell at him, before she saw the girl in his arms.
“Naruto, quickly, put her on my desk.” She cleared off a big spot by sweeping all the things off of her desk. “Where did you find her?” Tsunade asked as Naruto placed the girl onto her desk.
“I found her on the outskirts of the town, by the training grounds. I made it here in record time, but I don’t know if she’ll be ok.” He said in a rather worried voice. Yes, he cared a lot for other people.
Tsunade couldn’t tell where the girl’s injuries were and where the blood had just spread. “Shizune, go get as much cloth as you can carry, and warm and cool water. If you have to, get some people to help you carry them.” Her assistant quickly took off running to gather the needed supplies. “Naruto, you help her.” Naruto nodded and rushed off behind Tsunade’s assistant.
Tsunade ran glowing green hands over the girl’s body, cutting away her blood-covered tattered shirt. She gasped at the kanji that was tattooed onto the girl‘s skin. Some one had put it right over the poor girl‘s chest, and then they had run a blade over it, causing a thin line right down the middle of the ink to appear. After that, it seems that they had poured some kind of chemical into the injury, as it was still there and even though it was deep, it should have healed already. “Who could have done such a thing?” Tsunade gasped at the sight of the girl’s severely bleeding, but still breathing, body.
Very quickly, as this was one of the worst of the injuries, she ran a glowing hand over the girl’s injury, healing it. Another medic nin rushed into the room, and Tsunade knew that Shizune was on her way. “I’m here to help out if need be.” The nin explained and Tsunade nodded. The flesh healed up, but the poor girl would have a scar for life.
She turned to the other injuries. Most of them were shallow cuts, but the girl’s right hand was crushed, her face had cuts criss-crossing, and her right leg had bone showing through the skin from where some one had tried to twist the bottom half of it off and stopped half way through. “Looks like I’ve gotten my work cut out for me.” She said before steam started to rise from some of the shallow cuts on the girl. ‘She’s healing, by herself? Only Naruto can do that, unless-’ Her thoughts were interrupted by Naruto and Shizune’s return. Several medic nins were behind them, and all of them gasped at the state that the girl was in.
Quickly, Shizune walked over to Tsunade, who took the cloth and started to wash off the girl with the cold water. Naruto placed his things down at the table and turned to Tsunade. “Will she live?”
Before Tsunade could answer, a medic nin pushed the worried boy out of the room, a look of concern on her face. “Your friend, Sakura, she’s a medic nin as well, right?” The nin asked before Naruto could complain about anything.
“Yes, she is. Tsunade trained her. Now, if you would-” He was cut off by the nin before he could say anything else.
“I want you to run as fast as possible and find her. We may need her, that girl’s leg was pretty bad.” The nin didn’t receive an answer; Naruto had gone before she could say the second sentence.
Naruto knew where Sakura was, and he was going to find her. Some thing about that girl seemed familiar, but he couldn’t put his finger on it. The chakra energy signal was close to something that he had felt before. He couldn’t let her die before he found out what it was.
Quickly, he made his way to Sakura’s house. She was helping her dad with decorating the house for the anniversary of Team 7’s first meeting. With out Sasuke, the meeting would be just as empty as before, but that couldn’t be helped.
“Sakura!” Naruto shouted as soon as he made it to the house, with out even knocking on the door, and barged into the house. The pink hair girl looked at Naruto, hate burning in her eyes.
“How rude can you-” Naruto pulled her out of the house, cutting her off. “Be back dad!” She shouted before hitting Naruto on the head. “What in the Hell are you doing you idiot?!” She shouted at him as he fell to the ground.
“Sakura! That hurt!” He said, rubbing the aching area on his head. “Tsunade needs you, now! There’s a half dead girl on her desk!” Naruto received another hit on the head before Sakura yelled at him again.
“Idiot! Why didn’t you tell me before you kidnapped me?!” She shouted at him before she started to drag him, running quickly, but not quickly enough for Naruto. Picking her up and putting her on his back, looking like the 18 year old was giving Sakura a piggyback ride, he took off running. Sakura let out a surprised scream as the surroundings around her blurred.
He jumped through the broken window to see the girl was conscious, but still being healed. Most of her injuries had gone, and all that remained were the serious ones. “There you go, Sakura, now help her out!” Naruto put the scared to death girl on the ground.
When Sakura realized what was expected of her, she took Tsunade’s place, who was breathing hard from her chakra use. Quickly, Sakura turned to the girl’s leg. “This will hurt a little.” At a nod from the girl, Sakura quickly moved the bones and flesh around, setting the girl’s leg. The girl showed no sign that she had felt any of this. Very quickly, Sakura started to heal the injury. She wasn’t sure on if the girl would be able to heal completely, or if there would be pieces of bone floating in the girl’s body, but that didn’t matter. What mattered was making sure that the girl didn’t die of blood loss, not making sure she’d be able to walk correctly ever again.
“Now, please, don’t move for the rest of this.” Sakura had made her voice soothing, trying to see if the girl was going to respond to it. All she received was a nod of the head, which turned abruptly to let blood that had been forming at the back of the girl’s throat pour out.
“Tsunade, was there any internal bleeding? Did you heal it already?” She asked the tired Hokage, who answered just as quickly.
“Yes, there was, and yes, I did heal it.” She knew that the sooner that Sakura knew the extent of the girl’s injuries, the sooner they could get her up and moving. Almost all of the medic nins, including Shizune, were tired from using up so much chakra. Tsunade had used most chakra, and knew that Sakura would be able to finish up. Especially if the girl was what, or who, she thought she was. “Turn her over.”
Sakura complied and gasped. There was more blood on the girl’s back, and she knew that there was no way of stopping the bleeding with whom she had now. There was simply not enough chakra. On the girl’s back were more injuries that smelled like chemicals, she guessed that the poor girl had been tortured, and that the people had poured all kinds of chemicals on the injuries to keep them open. “Naruto, I’m going to have to borrow chakra.”
Naruto walked up to Sakura and placed his hands on her shoulders, immediately channeling his chakra into her. He would last a lot long longer than even Tsunade, since he had learned how to control the Kyuubi’s chakra. He watched as Sakura ran her hands over the girl’s back. Since the girl was wearing shorts, they didn’t need to worry about removing her pant legs to see the injuries there.
One of the medic nins who had been resting walked up to the girl and started to wash away the blood on her back. He gave a blood-replenishing pill to her, and she ate it with out questions. Then, he injected a sedate into the girl’s arm. Earlier, when she had first woken up, she had tried to attack them, he was afraid that she would do the same if she were healed all the way.
“Sakura, is she going to be ok?” Sakura was about to reply when Tsunade spoke up.
“No, she won’t be ok. I know something about her, and she’s a missing nin, from this village. She left the sister village a few years ago. Now that we know that she’s alive, we might be unable to let her leave, or live. It depends on what she came back to do in the first place.” Tsunade glared at the girl on the table, she received a rather spooky look, as if the girl weren’t really there.
“You know nothing of my past, so how can you pass judgment on me? I have a good reason for both actions. Do not worry, I will tell you as soon as I know that no harm will come to me. I do not trust these people, and I do not trust to speak freely of my problem in front of them. I will only tell you, since you are the Hokage, and are threatening to send me back out there if I do not tell you.” Her family is here; every one that she could call a family is here any way. No, she wasn’t back for that reason alone. “Plus, I carry a bit of information that you’d be interested in.”
Tsunade nodded, showing that she understood what the girl was talking about. “I will let you live here, as long as you give satisfactory answers. If what you say is neither, then I will have to punish you, Tsukiko Nanashi*.”
The girl on the table had not shown a single emotion. “I am fine, the rest of my injuries are not life threatening. Send the medic nins and the chakra donator away. I’ll tell you what you need to know. If any of my information is leaked, I will severely punish whom ever spoke of what I’ve said.” Her voice had no emotion; it is a truly monotonous tone. Suddenly, she coughed up some blood.
As soon as the blood appeared, Sakura rushed forward and tried to look for any internal bleeding. “Tsunade, I know you know this, but her heart muscles are a mess. She must have been attacked by a medical nin.”
Tsunade waved away the news. “I know, don’t worry. Like she said, the serious injuries are gone. Check her muscles again.” She watched as Sakura concentrated on the girl’s heart muscles and watched as surprise etched its self on her face.
“They’re healed. What healed them?” No, Sakura wasn’t the slightest bit informed of any of the demons in her friends, Naruto had told Neji, who told Hinata that she should ask him why Naruto knew so much about curse seals.
Tsunade just smiled, hoping that Sakura thought that she had made it so that some of her chakra was left behind, healing Tsukiko. Sakura thought just this, and left the question open. Naruto didn’t ask, he had a different thought on the matter.
“Now then, all of you, except you Tsukiko, are to leave, quickly.” Tsunade ordered and watched as every one except Naruto left. “Naruto, why have you not left?”
Naruto looked at Tsunade with a glare. “I don’t know what’s going on, and I would like to.” He said in a stubborn tone of voice. At Tsunade’s glare, and pointing finger, and threat to demote him to genin, Naruto left.
“Now then, Tsukiko, what happened to you, why did you leave, why did you come back, and what news do you have?” Tsunade asked as she helped the girl off of her desk and started to clean up the blood.
“Well, it all started when I was five…”
Update!
It had been six whole years since Sasuke had left. Naruto’s not been bothered by the fact that Sasuke left, after yelling for hours on end about how stupid and weak he was. At the moment, Naruto, Sakura, and the rest of the village would just love it if Sasuke were to return. Sakura eventually started going out with Lee, they are still going steady, and Hinata’s even more hung up over Naruto than ever. Naruto managed to make chuunin. So far Team 7, led by Kakashi Hatake, has refused to allow a third member to take Sasuke’s place. All the other teams left it at that, but Tsunade is getting a fourth member for every team. This fourth member will be a medic nin. Sakura, who is a fully fledge medic nin, and knows every thing that Tsunade knows, is counted as the fourth member, so Tsunade is currently looking for another ninja to take her position, this one will be a fighting nin.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~
Chapter 1
Sasuke laughed as he stood over the dead person on the floor. Several other people were weeping, and begging for their lives. The destruction behind the laughing ninja is great; fire is burning what buildings still stood. Other bodies lay around Sasuke, who had turned around and kicked the closest person to him.Sure, he was bruised, battered, and battle-worn, but the other people were in worse condition. “I have no need for you guys, but that doesn’t mean I’ll let you live.” Nor did it mean that he would kill them, but if they kept this up, he just might.
