It all started with Tenten being held hostage by three evil sound ninjas. “Please, let me go,” she pleaded. One of the sound ninja slapped her. “Silence!” they yelled. “Nobody can save you now!” Just then, the wall was turned into bricks and dust as…Neji came in. He looked like Superman, with his costume and muscles. “Neji Hyuga!” cried Tenten. “Tenten, my love,” he said. “I have come to rescue you!”
“Oh really,” asked the sound ninja. “Let's get him!” All three of them charged at Neji with kunai knife. Neji took care of them with ease. After dealing with the sound ninja, he walked up to the beautiful Tenten. “Let's go, gorgeous,” he said.
“But Neji, the chains…” Just then, Neji ripped the chains with his strong muscles. He then grabbed Tenten, bridal-style. On the way over to her house, Tenten and Neji kissed.
Just then, Tenten woke up from her strange dream. Yes, it was all a dream. “Whoa, another dream about Neji?” she asked herself. Yes, you see, this isn't the first time Tenten has dreamed about Neji. In fact, that was one of the several dreams of Neji she had. She also isn't afraid to admit those dreams were because she was in love with him. She has been in love with Neji Hyuga ever since they have been put on the same squad. She only had one problem, and his name was Rock Lee. She was a little worried about how this would affect her other teammate, Rock Lee. She got up, took a quick shower, got dressed and met Neji at his doctor's office. Today was the day that Neji was supposed to get his cast off his arm.
Neji and Tenten were in the doctor's office. Neji was glad that today was the day that he finally healed from his injuries. The doctor was taking a good look at Neji's x-rays. “So…how is he, doctor?” asked Tenten. “Can Neji take his cast off?”
“Wow Neji, you have made a fine recovery. Your arm has healed and it seems that both of your testicles have returned.” The last comment made Tenten giggle and Neji felt embarrassed. “Just take the cast off,” he said, still blushing.
The doctor, as promised, took Neji's cast off his fully-healed arm. But when he tried to move it, he felt a slight pain. He hasn't moved it in 2 weeks, so his arm was still a little numb. After a visit to the doctor's office, Neji and Tenten met up with Guy and Rock Lee. “Hey guys, what's going on?” asked Tenten.
“Neji, good news!” said Guy. “I put you in a match with Hinata.”
“What?” asked Neji, angrily.
“Yes, you need to get back at what she did! Are you excited?” asked Lee.
“NO!” said Neji, rather loudly. Tenten, Guy, and Lee were surprised at his outburst. “Uhhhh…I mean, I accept the challenge. It's just…I need some training…you know, to get some blood back into the arm.” Guy and Lee bought it, but Tenten knew the real reason why Neji burst with fear, because…he was scared of Hinata.
Speaking of which, she was at her new apartment. Her legs have finally healed. Kurenai had just old her about the Neji vs. Hinata fight. Before, back during the chunin exams, she didn't want to fight Neji. Today, she couldn't wait to get the chance at kicking his ass, again. Naruto was worried. “Hinata, are you sure you know what you're doing?” asked Naruto.
“Why?” asked Hinata.
“Well, because…Neji did do a lot of damage last time you fought him.”
“Well, did you see me break his arm?”
“Look Hinata, I'm not saying that you can't beat him. I'm just saying that you'll need some training.” Hinata agreed.
Next morning, Hinata started training with Naruto. Shikamaru was also there, too. “Okay Hinata,” said Naruto. “First things first, you need to know how to get angry!”
“Get angry?” asked Hinata.
“Yeah, example, let's pretend that Shikamaru is Neji.”
“Oh man, this is such a drag!” said Shikamaru.
“Come on Shikamaru, she needs this,” said Naruto.
“Fine,” Shikamaru sighed. He then transformed into Neji. “Okay Hinata,” said Naruto. “There is the enemy. Give me your best angry growl.” Hinata growled angrily, but it was very weak. “Wow, that scared me,” said Neji/Shikamaru, sarcastically.
“Come on Hinata!” yelled Naruto. “You're not going to scare anybody with that! Try harder!” Hinata tried to growl again, this time a little more frightening. “Okay, that's pretty good,” said Naruto. “Try it one more time.” Hinata then growled very hard, almost lion-like. This made Shikamaru/Neji jump back a little bit. “Oh shit,” said Shikamaru/Neji. “She might kill me!”
Her next lesson was fighting moves. Naruto told Hinata to take her stance. Hinata took her “Hyuga-style” stance. “No,” said Naruto. “Don't fight like you're a Hyuga.”
“Why not?” asked Hinata.
“Because, that's how Neji beat you last time. You and Neji pretty much had the same moves, so he can predict your every move.”
“How should I fight then?” asked Hinata. Naruto thought about it. “Good question,” he said. “Looks like we're need a new strategy.”
Meanwhile, Neji and Rock Lee were practicing dodging and counterattacking. For some reason, Neji wasn't doing so well. “Leaf Whirlwind!” cried Rock Lee. Neji fell for the attack and was sent flying to a nearby tree. After getting up, Lee then performed his Leaf Hurricane kick. Neji, again, couldn't dodge it and was sent to the ground. Tenten ran over to him and helped him back up. “What's wrong with you, Neji?” she asked. `You can usually beat Lee, but it looks like he's beaten you.”
“It's just my arm!” he said, rather rudely. “I can't throw punches without risking my arm.”
”Your arm is fine! Now, get up and beat Lee.” Neji and Lee continued the fight, until Rock Lee was declared the winner. “Yes. I did it! I finally beat Neji Hyuga!” Lee celebrated with Guy, while Tenten was wondering why Neji's performance sucked today. “Come on Neji,” said Tenten. “This isn't like you.”

“You can't expect me to win every fight!” he shouted.
“Whoa,” said Tenten. “Sorry, Mr. Defensive.”
“You're right…” said Neji. “Just because I lost doesn't mean I have to take it out on you.” Tenten was surprised. This also wasn't like Neji. He would never apologize to her. “Neji, I want to ask you a question,” she said. “And I want to you to be honest.” Neji listened. “Are you afraid of Hinata?” Neji thought long and hard. “Should I tell her?” he asked to himself. “Can you keep it a secret?” asked Neji.
“Neji, look at me,” said Tenten. Neji then looked into her eyes. “I would never tell any your secrets.” Neji then took a deep breath. “It's just that…I never knew that Hinata had such strength and power. It's like she has…some sort of inner demon within.”
“Well, it was bound to happen, especially after the 16 years that she had to put up with you and Hiashi.”
“I am really that much of a jerk to her?” he asked. Tenten then pulled out a book. “Do you want to know the answer? Then, read this.” She then gave him a copy of Hinata's diary, which Hanabi gave to her. Neji then started reading. Tenten left him to read.
“Come on, Hinata!” shouted Sakura from the back of a moving cart. “Let's go. Show Neji that you're no longer weaker! Let's go, you pile of crap!” Hinata was jogging from behind. “Am I being too hard?” asked Sakura, nicely.
“Oh please,” said Hinata. “Compared to Neji and Hiashi, you look like Kurenai-sensei.” The two girls finally ran back to the ramen shop. Where Sasuke, stopwatch in hand, was checking how long it took for Hinata to run from Naruto's house to the ramen shop. Since it only takes Naruto 25 minutes to get from his house to the ramen shop walking, this was how he could grade her. Hinata finally arrived, panting and breathing hard. Sasuke stopped the time. “20 minutes and 12 seconds, not bad,” he commented. “I'll give you…a B+”
“Thank you guys for helping me,” said Hinata.
“No problem,” said Sakura. “After what Neji did to you, it's about time that he got what he deserved!” Sakura and Sasuke then left Hinata her next instructor, Shino Aburame, her own teammate.
“Today, I will teach you the art of intimidation,” he said.
“What's that?” asked Hinata.
“It is when you intimidate your opponent into defeat. Like how Neji also intimidated you to forfeit.” Shino then gave her a piece of paper. “I want you to write everything that could scare the Hell out of Neji. You have until I get back from lunch.” Hinata then wrote up a list of bad stuff about Neji. Just like how Neji thought of bad stuff about her. When Shino came back, he read over Hinata's list. “If I were the real Neji, I'd back out. Your pass,” he said.
After the day, Hinata was done with training. Tired and battered, she walked all the way back home. On the way, she met up with Konohamaru and his friends, Moegi and Udoh. “Hey Hinata,” said Moegi. “Want to play ninja with us?”
“Not now, I'm too tired,” said Hinata. “I've been training all day.”
“Training…for what?” asked Konohamaru.
“Just some fight between me and Neji. It's about time he gets what's coming to him. This time, I'll break both of his arms.” She then left, giving Konohamaru an idea. “Hey guys, want to make some money?” he asked. Soon, they were making tickets and posters for the so called, “Hinata vs. Neji 2” fight.
Throughout the next week, Hinata and Neji continued their training. The weird thing is while Hinata continues to do well on her training; Neji keeps failing his training (i.e. messing up his jutsu, losing fights to Tenten and Rock Lee, dropping his weapons). Tenten was worried about Neji. “Neji, you're not this lame,” she thought. “Just go and apologize to Hinata.” The only reason why Neji wouldn't apologize is because his father (deceased) always told him to never show his emotions, because that's what sissies do.
Hiashi was watching Naruto training Hinata how to fight. He had a dummy of Neji at his side so that Hinata can practice kicking his ribs (which she is also planning to break). Hiashi pulled out a kunai knife, ready to kill the traitor of the Hyuga clan. Suddenly, a feminine hand stopped him. “I would leave her alone if I were you,” said Kurenai.
“Let me go. I need to kill that little traitor!” yelled Hiashi. Kurenai was shocked. She slapped the hell out of him. “You would kill your own daughter just because of the way you have treated her! I can't believe that you were actually her father.”
“I am her father!”
“Oh really? Then when's her birthday?” asked Kurenai. Hiashi thought about it. But, he then came to the shocking conclusion. He doesn't know his own daughter's birthday. “You sicken me!” said Kurenai.
Then, Hinata kicked the dummy's head off. “I love you, Hinata,” said Naruto. Kurenai then looked at Hiashi. “And when did you ever say those words to her?” she asked. Hiashi, for once, felt a little guilty. Kurenai then gave her Hinata's diary. “Read this carefully,” she said. “And notice how happy she was before and after her 8th birthday.”
That night before bed, Hanabi looked into what used to be Hinata's bedroom. Her room was cleaned out. Hanabi was there to moan her sister's move. “You miss her do you?” asked Neji.
“She was the only person I could relate to. She was my only sister,” she said.
“I miss her, too.”
“No you don't! You were the reason why she moved away! She wanted to be free! She was tired of you and father not caring about her. So you better shut up about saying you missed her!”
“I read her diary. I never knew that how she felt…about both Naruto and me. I read the diary. Before her birthday, her entries were about her missing father and how father was telling her to constantly train every day, just because she was weak. Then, after her birthday, all she wrote about was Naruto this and Naruto that.”
“So…you are finally starting to understand.”
“Before the fight, I'll go and apologize to her. I can't ask her to move back in, but apologizing will at least end the fighting.”
“You're doing the right thing, Neji.”
Hiashi was in bed, finishing reading Hinata's diary. He felt guilty and somewhat disappointed. He then picked up a picture of him, Hinata (age 5), and Ms. Hyuga, Hinata's mother. “If only you were still here,” he said to the picture.
Then, the big fight came. 30 minutes before the fight, Ebisu was supposed to train Konohamaru, but he again ran off. “Where has the honorable grandson gotten to now?” he asked himself. He then spotted a vast amount of people at the arena where the Chunin exams were held. He found Konohamaru and his friends accepting bets on the fight. Although bets for both Hinata and Neji were pretty even, Hinata was winning in bets. Everybody has seen her train very hard and they believe that Hinata might actually win the fight. Many people believed that every time Hinata gets seriously mad, her eyes turned red and her fingernails turn into claws. Some say that Hinata might have a demon lurking within her. Some say that Naruto transferred some of the fox demon's charka into her. Others say that her own hatred towards Hiashi and Neji created her own demon. Even the sand ninja showed up for the fight.
“Okay folks, only 28 minutes until the fight. Any more bets,” shouted Konohamaru. There were many villagers with money in hand, shouting their bets. Udoh was having a hard time keeping up with their demands. Ebisu then showed up between Konohamaru and the villagers. “Hey, what are you doing?” asked Konohamaru.
“Now, honorable grandson,” said Ebisu. “Don't mind me; I'm just here to place a wager.”
“Really?”
“Yes, as a matter of fact.” He then took out $100. “Put my money on the girl.” The villagers then resumed their shouting.
Kiba and Shino were coming into the building, with their money. “So, who are you rooting for?” asked Shino.
“What do you mean `who am I rooting for'? I'm voting for Hinata,” said Kiba. “Hell, even Akamaru is rooting for her!”
“Arf! Arf!” barked Akamaru.
“What about you?” asked Kiba.
“I'm rooting for Neji,” said Shino.
“What? Neji? What about Hinata?” asked Kiba.
“Let's face it. Hinata lost to Neji last time and she lost badly.”
“Well, that was…what…two or three years ago. Times have changed.” Just then, Neji appeared to them. “Bastard!” said Kiba. “Winner!” said Shino.
“I was wondering where Hinata is?” asked Neji.
”How should I know?” asked Kiba. Kiba, Shino, and Neji then spot Hinata in a dark room, punching a Neji dummy. “I am a heartless killer,” Hinata said to herself. “Neji is the prey that must be killed. I have no friends or family. I kill for fun.” She then furiously ripped the Neji dummy into shreds with her “claws”. “Neji, I'll come for your blood!” The dummy head then rolled towards Neji's feet. “Oh shit,” said Neji. Shino was having second thoughts about his bet. He then patted Neji's shoulder. “Let's face it. You're going to die, dude,” he said. Kiba and Shino then left.

The senseis (Kakashi, Asuma, Kurenai, and Guy) were also placing bets. “Well, Neji has been training very hard, so…I think he might have a shot,” said Guy. “So, are you guys going to vote for Neji?” asked Guy. Asuma, Kakashi, and Kurenai then started whistling and making nervous body movements. “Are you serious?” asked Guy.
“Well, let's face it,” said Kakashi. “I've seen Hinata's angry face, and it's not pretty.”
“Last time, she broke Neji's arm,” said Asuma. “This time, she might break his neck!”
“Hinata is one of my students,” said Kurenai.
“Fine. Vote for Hinata. More money for me!” said Guy.
After the senseis placed their bets, the room went quiet. At the door were Hiashi and Hanabi. Most people were muttering “bastard father” and “jackass”. Hiashi walked up to the betting table and placed a whopping $1,000. “For Neji, right?” asked a serious Konohamaru. “Actually, I'm betting for Hinata,” said Hiashi. Many people were confused about his choice. “Are you serious?” asked Hanabi.
“Yes,” replied Hiashi. “I have seen the error of my ways. I want to make it up to Hinata. And I hope that she beats Neji today.”
“But what about Neji?” asked Guy.
“Neji's not important. He's just my nephew. Hinata, however, is my daughter.” He then left. Hanabi then took out $5, betting it on Hinata. “5 bucks?” asked Konohamaru. “Are you going cheap on me?”
“Give me a break. This was all I can get!”
TO BE CONTINUED…
NEXT TIME:
Naruto: Okay Hinata, this is your big chance to prove everybody and your father that you're not the weak and shy little girl that you used to be. Go out there and kick Neji's ass!
NEXT TIME:
Hyuga vs. Uzumaki: Round 2!
Neji is going to lose to another Uzumaki!
Q&A: From Konohamaru
Konohamaru's question: Who do you think will win? Hinata Uzumaki or Neji Hyuga?
Naruto Uzumaki: What are you kidding? Hinata is so going to kick Neji's ass!
Sakura Haruno: I have seen things of Hinata I never want to see again. Still, my money is on Hinata. INNER SAKURA: Go ahead, Hinata! Kill Neji! Show him girl power! Cha!
Sasuke Uchiha: (seriously) Neji Hyuga. I don't care what many people say, I still think Neji is going to win.
Kakashi Hatake: Hinata has true power within her. I'll put my money on Hinata!
Ino Yamanaka: Hinata! If she loses, then she is a disgrace to not only herself but to every kunoichi out there!
Shikamaru Nara: Who cares? One of them is going to die anyway?
Choji Akimichi: Hinata was pretty scary. I say Neji. Now where's the snack bar?
Asuma: Like I said, Neji better be lucky that she only broke his arm. When he loses this match, he's not going to be able to have any kids.
Kiba Inuzuka: Hinata. There is no way she could lose! She trained to hard for this!
Akamaru: Arf! Arf! (Hinata Uzumaki!)
Shino Aburame: She even scares me! Even thought I think Neji will win, if he doesn't, at least I win get some money back.
Kurenai Yuhi: Hinata has trained really hard for this. Even since Naruto entered her life, she has changed from a shy, timid girl into a hardcore, fighting kunoichi.
Rock Lee: Neji Hyuga! He's beaten her last time and he will do it again!
Tenten: If only he could get rid of his fear, I think Neji has a shot.
Might Guy: Even thought I bet for Neji, I think he could lose. Heck, he failed many training courses. If he couldn't defeat a clone of Hinata, I'm afraid of what happens when he fights the real thing.
Gaara: Neji Hyuga. Hinata almost got killed last time she faced Neji. This time, Neji might finish the job.
Temari: Hinata's showing girl power. My money's on her! Oh, don't tell Gaara I said that.
Kankuro: Neji, no doubt.
The Hokage: Both of them are skilled in their own way. Neji has incredible strength and stamina. However, Hinata has a lot of determination. Determination that could even rival Naruto's. I think both of them have an equal chance of winning.
