[ P - Pre-Teen ]

This is a VERY short chapter… Sorry about that; I wrote it a while ago.

Azarni ran up to her three friends at the training grounds where Ren and Rin were sparing in martial arts. Yokio, who was a watching about twenty feet away, noticed the Nara girl as she waved to them.
”Hey Yokio, what have you all been up to lately,' Azarni asked as she panted heavily. The young man just stared at her for a moment before Rin had butted into the conversation now that her spare was over.
“What we were doing; how about you? Why is the forest forbidden,” she said cutting in front of Yokio. Azarni bit her lip, not knowing if she should talk about the decapitated immortal man she found buried under the rock pit, which she was helping find the rest of his body that was cut into many pieces.
“Well, I found signs that there was a battle there,” she replied. Sadly for Azarni though, this answer would not content her friends.
“What exactly did you find then,” Ren asked as she came up behind them with a sweat rag in her hands.
“Well,” she began with a bit of hesitation. “I journeyed about ten minutes before I came to a spot where someone or something must have been killed, since there was old ninja wire everywhere that still has traces of blood on it. There was a pit underneath where some ninja wire was like a web above, and there were still some wire going down into the pit that was filled with rocks. Beyond that point it got worse, where there were rusty old weapons and bloodstains splattered on split trees, and huge rocks.”
“You weren't scared, were you,” Yokio teased.
“Of course I wasn't! …Anyhow, if, not saying that I was afraid, but if I ever was, then who could blame a person for that? It was defiantly not a pretty sight.”
“So you were afraid then,” Rin said with a devilish smile.
“I never said I was, so stop bothering me bout it. I may sound nervous because I just escaped being found out.”
“So someone else was there,” Yokio said with raised eyebrows as he starting to get really interested.
“Well I was out for quite a while, and I went back this morning to explore some more, so my Mother almost caught that I was out so early. If I got back even fifteen minutes later, then I could have been caught and have to fess up that I went into the forbidden forest.”
“You just love to play dangerous games, don't you Azarni,” Ren said rolling her eyes at her friend's stupidity. Just how often does she just slip out of trouble, or just slipped up enough to get into trouble.
“My life is so dull, that's why I do them I guess,” she replied shrugging.
“I'm sure one of these times you're going to die from one of your challenges Azarni,” Rin said crossing her arms. The Nara girl sighed as she whipped the sweat from her brow that hot summer day.
“That would never happen, I'm not that stupid you know. I wouldn't threaten my own life for a challenge.”
“And yet you just did threaten your life in the past two challenges you did; the one I gave you by the sounds of it, and the one given to you by that Hyuga boy less than a week ago that you got caught from,” Yokio declared. Azarni found herself defeated by that, and turned to walk home, looking almost like a zombie.
“That girl needs to get a better life you know,” Ren sighed as she chose Yokio as her new sparing partner. “Well, let's start fighting.”
“Hey, what about me,” Rin shouted with confusion. Ren then looked from Yokio's face, to the zombie Azarni who was a good sixty feet away already, to her upset sister. Then shrugging, she said,” Spare with Azarni.”
“But, but she's already pretty far away,” the black haired girl whimpered, with crocodile tears flooding her pink eyes.
“Then go after her lazy butt,” Ren replied, knowing her sister too well to fall for her tricks. Rin then ran after her friend, hoping to wake up the living dead long enough to get some more training into her day.
