Ten-Ten had just awaken from a nap and smiled when she found Neiji sitting in a chair next to the bed sleeping. “Neiji…”
He stirred and his eyes slowly opened. He smiled at her. “Hey there. How are you doing?”
“You didn't have to stay with me you know.”
“I know. I wanted to.”
Ten-Ten blushed. “Thank you.”
Neiji nodded. “So how are they treating you here?”
Ten-Ten giggled. “Very well actually, although I could do without the horrible food they're trying to feed me here. If not for you bringing the soup earlier, I would have starved.”
“I'll bring you something later too.”
Ten-Ten nodded.
“So we confronted Sakura earlier. She's leaving. You should have heard what she said about you and the others though.”
Ten-Ten frowned. “She probably said things that she didn't mean because she was protecting herself from her emotions. Do you think we are doing the right thing?”
Neiji was stunned. “Why would you even question yourself? She only thinks about herself. You should have gotten rid of her a long time ago.”
Ten-Ten sighed. “You sound like Hinata and Ino. Listen, I know she can be a pain, but I know her the best and I know that she doesn't mean whatever she said earlier.”
Neiji smiled. “You're too kind-hearted, but maybe that's why I like you so much.”
Ten-Ten smiled.
“So I will go and get you some food. Any requests?”
“Nothing in particular.”
“Alright. I'll be back soon.” He kissed her forehead before leaving.
“Sakura…”

Back at the boys' house, Naruto and Hinata were sitting in the study. Hinata was curled up in his lap and she rested her head on his chest. “I like this, Naruto.”
“Me, too.” He put an arm around her, pulling her ever closer to him.
“So, Naruto, what do you and the others do to make money to pay for your house. I'm just curious.”
“Well, Shikamaru works part-time at the music store and Neiji and I do construction jobs every now and then.”
“What about Sasuke?”
“He…doesn't work. His parents were…killed in a car accident only a year ago. He inherited their wealth.”
“That's so sad.”
“Don't say anything to him about it. I wasn't supposed to tell anyone. He's a private person.”
Hinata nodded. “Okay then, changing the subject, remember what we were doing before this whole thing happened?” She blushed.
Naruto growled playfully and flipped her onto her back and he was now over her with all his weight on his hands. Hinata giggled causing a smile to crease Naruto's lips. He leaned down and stopped before their mouths touched. Hinata could feel her heart beating faster and faster as she gazed up into sky blue eyes. She blushed deeper. His hands stroked her cheeks softly. Finally, he brought his mouth to hers. They closed their eyes and enjoyed the kiss.
Hinata smiled at him when he pulled away. He smiled back and lay down next to her on the couch with an arm around her waist. She turned to face him and her hand found his cheek as she gently rubbed it. Sleep fell over her and she drifted off.

Shikamaru put the marker that he used to sign Ino's cast down. Ino read it aloud. “Ino and Shikamaru. Forever.” She smiled at him. “That's so sweet.”
Shikamaru smiled at her and kissed her cheek, but when he pulled away, he noticed that Ino looked kind of upset. “Did I do something wrong?”
Ino shook her head. “No, no, no, no, no. It's more along the lines of what you haven't done.” She stood up from the chair she sat in and went to the living room. Shikamaru followed.
“What exactly do you want me to do?”
She looked away. “Nothing. Just drop it. Okay?”
Shikamaru sighed and turned her head to face him. “You are so troublesome, you know.” He leaned forward and pressed his lips to hers. Ino's eyes opened wide before they closed. She kissed back. When he pulled away, he kissed her forehead. “There. Is that what you wanted?”
Ino nodded and smiled, blushing.
“You're cute when you're not yelling,” he teased.
“Yeah? Well you're fun to be around when you're not lazy. Which isn't often,” she said back trying to hold back a smile from the expression on his face. “What?”
Shikamaru crossed his arms and turned away. “So troublesome.”
Ino laughed. “Aw, come on! I was just kidding!”
“Some jokes aren't funny.”
“Are you really that offended?” She put a hand on his shoulder, but gasped when Shikamaru grabbed it and pulled her into him. He kissed her again.
“No. I was kidding.”
Ino sighed relieved. “Why don't we watch a movie or something?”
Shikamaru nodded and turned on the television.

Back at the hospital, Neiji just returned to Ten-Ten's room to find her reading a magazine. He closed the door behind him and walked over to her. She smiled at him. “So what did you get me?”
“A burger and fries.”
“Finally. Good food!”
Neiji watched her tear through the paper bag and lay out the food in front of her. He felt uneasiness in his stomach as he looked over her beaten body. He wanted to hold her and never let her go. He wanted to protect her and take away all of her pain. He turned her head to him and put his mouth to hers. Ten-Ten, shocked, pulled away. Neiji stopped. “I'm sorry. I shouldn't have.”
“No! I was just taken by surprise. Please. Let's try again.”
“You sure?”
Ten-Ten nodded and Neiji gladly complied. He leaned forward and put his mouth back to hers. Ten-Ten's stomach growled and she pulled away blushing. “Sorry.”
Neiji just laughed as Ten-Ten began to eat.

While Sakura was packing, Sasuke began calling around for available houses that were up for sale. The price was no issue since Sakura's account was always full and he immediately purchased a home that he felt would be perfect for Sakura. Sakura didn't really care what house she moved to as long as she had one to move to.
They packed everything in Sasuke's hybrid. Sakura, before getting in the car, stopped to look back at her old home. She sighed heavily then sat in the passenger seat. After she put her seat belt on, Sasuke started the car and they were off.

They drove for about an hour conversing at some points and silent at others. Sometimes they were just content on listening to the music that was on. “Sasuke? Where is this house exactly?”
They were now in the countryside, where houses were spaced out and not so cluttered. “You'll see. We'll be there soon.”
“Tell me about it!” She said with excitement ringing in her words.
“I thought you didn't care,” he teased.
“I…don't…”
Sasuke smiled. “You'll like it. I'm sure of it.”
“Alright. I trust you.”
They drove for another half hour and soon Sasuke pulled into a long drive way where the limbs of trees hung down casting a emerald shade upon them. Soon the house came into view. It was made of brick and also wood. It was a fairly big house, but nothing like the mansion she was just living in. There was a coble pathway that led to a porch that wrapped around to the back of the house. There were already some flowers and vines growing in the front of the house. The yard was huge and Sakura was already forming ideas in her head of what she wanted to do with it. When Sasuke stopped the car, she exited quickly and took in the fresh air. The home was very private for it was surrounded by trees, but other homes weren't that far off.
“The man I spoke to, said the key was under the mat by the door,” Sasuke said. They went up the wooden stairs and Sasuke picked up the key. He unlocked the door and they went in. Sakura's eyes lit up as she looked around the room. There was a living room, a dining room, a huge kitchen, a study, and a bathroom downstairs. She ran up the stairs to find three bedrooms with the master bedroom having a balcony, another bathroom, a couple closets, and yet another study. Large windows filtered in light, illuminating the house. Sakura ran back down the stairs and flung herself at Sasuke who caught her in his arms, wrapping them tight around her waist.
“I love it! It's everything I always dreamed of having!”
Sasuke smiled. “I'm glad.” He let her go. “Let's check out the back of the house.”
Sakura nodded and they headed to back of the house through the kitchen. There was a sliding glass door that led out to the porch. Outside, they found a place for a garden and wide open space with plush grass. Sakura squeaked, not able to contain her excitement. “Is- is this really mine? Seems unreal.”
Sasuke took her hand and placed the key in her palm. “It's yours.”
