Now he'll love me, not you.
Sakura snorted at the voice ringing in her head. It had been there for sometime now, taunting her with the idea that her last sight was that red haired bitch, for lack of a better word. Her fingers glowed softly as she worked to better heal the wound across her eyes. She couldn't do much, but at least she could make sure the scars wouldn't be as bad, though it would be awful either way.
Now he'll love me, not you.
She could almost laugh out loud at that statement now, finding it as the only amusing part in this situation. It was a dark amusement rooted in her chest, pushing dry laughs from the encasement of her lips. She giggled almost mechanically, continuing the work on her flesh. The skin was jagged and healed incorrectly, but with no way to see the wound she had no idea how to line it up properly to make a nice, straight line. Thanks a lot Karin.
Now he'll love me, not you.
This time Sakura couldn't help the deep laugh that bubbled forth, holding her sides as it continued. Her ribs hurt with every deep intake of breath but she couldn't bring herself to end her amusement. It was just so funny.
Now he'll love me, not you.
“It's okay, Karin.” Sakura smiled a twisted curl of the lips, pushing her hair out of her face as her laughter died down to mere giggles. “He didn't love me to begin with.”

Sakura wasn't sure where she was the next time she awoke. She tugged softly on the sheets, searching wherever she had been laid. A bed. How long had it been since she laid on a real bed? It seemed like forever ago that she was in her apartment, curled up in her own bed. It had been forever since she had lived in this village as a part of something. For the past three years she had been alone. Yet she never felt as alone as she did now. One thought rang clearly in the back of her mind, calling out to her to remember. Ino was dead. Ino was dead but there were no tears left for Sakura to cry. She wept her heart out at the memorial stone and left it there. She felt as inhuman as she had for three years living like an animal. She was trapped. Trapped in an endless cycle of loss and hate, of misery and revenge.
Slipping out from underneath the sheets she moved silently, reaching out in front of her in some kind of attempt to find where she was going. She located a wall after a moments time of timidly stepping forward, shuffling her feet to make sure she didn't trip. Following the cool plaster under her hands she came upon what felt like a window sill and realized that the bed was beside her again. Her fingers clumsily traced over the contents of the sill, feeling out two picture frames. Instantly she wondered what they were, who they were of. Some how one of them felt like it would be important. If only she could see. Her hands grasped the hexagonal shape of a picture frame, fingers lightly tapping the glass. It felt so familiar. Like some dream that eluded the grasp of her memory the moment she woke up. Like it had just been there a moment ago but was now lost to her forever.
“I'm surprised you remember the frame.” Kakashi's voice came from somewhere behind her though she didn't bother to turn and face him. She didn't react for a long while as she just held the frame in her hands, willing herself to remember its importance. No thing came. No sudden realization hit her in the head. She felt her emotional attachment to the object slipping away and it hurt. It hurt because she didn't know what kind of emotion she was supposed to feel with this thing, but it had made her feel. It had made her feel human.
“What…what is it a picture of?” Sakura asked softly, not giving up her hold on the picture just yet. Was she being silly? Maybe it was something that had nothing to do with her and she just mistook it for some long forgotten piece of her past. Slowly she turned, facing the direction she could hear Kakashi walking to her from. She stepped back when she felt his hand touch the frame, afraid he was trying to take it from her. Afraid that if he lifted it from her hands she would forget these feelings forever.
“You don't know? I thought by you reaction you remembered the frame it was in.” Kakashi smiled softly, removing his hand from the wooden object before taking a seat on the bed beside her. He helped her slowly sit down, watching in sad amusement as her fingers continuously moved over the frame, her face contorted in confusion. “You had a similar frame for you're copy, didn't you?”
“Copy of what, Kakashi?” She asked desperately, feeling she would sink into the whole her chest created with these feelings.
“Teams sevens photo.”
Silence enveloped them as Sakura turned the words over in her mind. Team sevens photo? She could barely picture it in her head, Kakashi standing happily with his hands on the boys heads, her in the middle of them all making some sort of hand sign. She used to look at it everyday that Sasuke was gone, wishing with all her might that she could return to that time. It seemed even more impossible now. Everything had changed to much. It couldn't be fixed so simply in her mind anymore.
“Why did she do it Sakura?” Kakashi asked softly, taking the picture from her hand. She didn't struggle to keep it as she let it slip away, the memory of it stung too much to keep holding on to. His words finally clicked in her head as she laugh a small, hallow laugh that tore his heart.
“It was silly really,” She laughed harder, as if some joke was just brought to her head that she had long forgotten. Her hand lifted to cover her mouth, trying to stifle the noises and be serious though she knew it was no use. “She wanted Sasuke to love her instead of me. Isn't that funny Kakashi? I mean anyone would know that Sasuke didn't love me. I mean he left me knocked out on a bench after I confessed my love for him. How funny that she thought making me blind and ugly would change anything. It wouldn't matter what she did, because he never loved me to begin with.”
Kakashi could only watch her sadly as she laughed, somehow finding the whole situation amusing. If he didn't know any better he would fear she lost her mind. She probably had for a while in those woods. He couldn't stop himself before he moved to hold her, her laughter dieing as she sunk into his warm embrace. They sat in silence for what felt to him like forever, but to her it was only ten minutes and fifty-four seconds. “It's not silly Sakura.”
“Can you…make me forget, Kakashi?” She whispered softly then, the amusement no longer playing on her tongue. She shifted to face him, her fingers moving to push his forehead protector away, his sharingan staring at her in surprise. “Make me forget…”
“Sakura?” She didn't respond as she moved closer to him. He was panicking inside knowing this was wrong, that he should stop her. To his relief she pulled back some, listening carefully to his movements. “I don't think we should do this.”
“Please, Kakashi.” Her fingers paused before gripping her own forehead protector, pulling it slowly free from its spot. Kakashi couldn't breath. He couldn't register the sound of metal hitting the floor as she let the metal material slip from her hand. He couldn't move. Not when a two clouded green eyes stared at him. Shouldn't they be gone? Why were her pupils moving to follow him. “I can't see completely, but wont the sharingan work anyway? Make me forget…Please.”

Sakura's footsteps were soft, though not placed very precisely. Her hands were held behind her back, bumping against her rear with each step forward. A soft tune fell from her lips and into the surrounding summers wind, whipping about her before leaving her alone once more. She often took walks like this. Naruto was away training with Jiraya, though he should return in a few months. Sasuke was gone, and it was a struggle she still dealt with constantly.
A branch snapped somewhere behind her, causeing her to turn some. It was probably just an animal, but one could never be too careful. Just as her hand moved to slide a kunai out of her pouch she felt the wind change in seconds. Someone was here and setting off a dark intent. Someone was here, and standing right in front of her.
“I hate you.”
The Sharp Kunai ripped across her eyes and the bridge of her nose as her attacker lunged forward. Blood was trickling down her cheeks, falling on the muddy ground. She couldn't see it. Panic wrapped its icey fingers around her heart as she fell forward into the coming darkness. She couldn't see anything now.
“Now he'll love me…not you.”
“W-who's there??” Karin jumped to her feet, kunai in hand. She had followed the team back to Kohan. She was to afraid to approach any of them. To afraid that they might turn her away from the village, from the only home she knew.
“For someone that could successfully sneak up on Tsunade's apprentice, you sure are easy to find.” Sasuke's tall form lurked forward from the darkness, his face emotionless and cold. It was the mask he used with enemies, a mask that made Karin tremble to think that she was his enemy. “Why did you do it?”
“I…” Tears filled Karin's eyes as she watched him, her hands clenching to fists at her sides. Should she tell him? What else did she have to loose? Everything was going to be taken from her. “I love you! I have all this time but you could never see it! You could never see anything other than revenge and your old teammates. I wanted you to love me instead of…instead of that girl!”
“Idiot.” Sasuke hissed and suddenly he was in front of her, lips touching her own in a way she had never known before. It was soft yet powerful, bending her to his will. She had already been wrapped around his finger but now the pull to him tightened, threatening to break her and all she was. She wasn't given the time to respond before he pulled away, staring down at her with what she could only call sad eyes. “I saw. It was you…you that didn't…and now you ruined everything.”
She was unconscious the moment he touched the pressure point on her neck, allowing her to fall into his arms. Slowly he lifted her, watching her peaceful face and the tear that fell from her cheek, having been freed just before she was knocked out. That was two women now that he had knocked out. Yet he couldn't bring himself to leave this one behind. He had to take her back and let her face her punishment. Had to let her face Sakura, for even he could understand the bitter need of revenge.

Okay!
Little explaining to do.
Sakura can see a very little bit. She healed her eyes as best she could (I mean common she was trained by Tsunade) but she cannot see perfectly. Her vision is very, very bad. BUT there is still a little, little there. Haha. Hope this makes sense? Pretty much one of her eyes is blind and the other has very limited sight so there is no point in not wearing her forehead protector.
And I know Sakura didn't mention the Ino thing a lot, but that's something I think she would want to forget about as much as possible and Kakashi isn't going to be mean and bring it up
Congrats to LadyNorth76 for guessing it a little bit haha.
Also thanks to Goddess Psyche, Dreamergirl92813, Trinnerti, gamblerrikku, AnimeAddictGirl15, HalfBloodPhoenix, Ryn729, Sasuke's Girl Forever, and shadow miko for their reviews! Also to my best friend who is also reading the story, she helps me vent a lot of my ideas and sort through them ^__^.
And don't get me wrong, I still hate Karin and have evilness planned. I also don't tend to like Sasuke but I'm at least trying to be nice to him haha.
