Chapter 3 Kidnapped

3 Years Later

Much had happened in Konoha since the Kyuubi attack. The village wall had been rebuilt and made stronger with various seals to ward of fire. Peace treaties were made with villages Konoha had warred with tears earier. Konoha had finally reached a peace agreement with Kumo, the Cloud village. There had been much dispute between the two villages since the great shinobi war. The Yondaime had defeated much of the Cloud's shinobi using his sole ninjutsu, Hirashin. It was a time of celebration in the village. There was celebration of the treaty, but there was much more. In the Hyuuga clan complex, there was the announcement of the clan heir, little Hinata. Today was her third birthday.

Hyuuga Neji was happy. His cousin, Hinata-sama, was turning three today. They were really good friends, along with her adopted brother, Naruto. Naruto had also grown. He was around 3ft tall, with spiky blonde hair that seemed to resist all forms of combing, and an energy that drove branch members that were assigned to babysit him crazy.

As invited guests walked past, wishing Hinata a Happy Birthday, Hinata shyly hid behind Naruto. It was no common secret that she was shy, and Naruto always helped her with this aspect. They were also exact opposites, the one being loud and visible, the other quiet and timid. They were extremely close, as was expected by their parents.

“Happy Birthday, Hina-chan,” Naruto told the girl standing behind him. He couldn't wait for the formalities to be over so they could go play in the gardens. He hated formal occasions. The branch members tried to comb his hair, even though it never was straight, and than there was the formal dress that he had to wear.

“T-thank you Naruto-kun,” she stuttered out as the ambassador from Kumo passed by. He was a guest in the Hyuuga household that week, and already Naruto, who was a prankster, was thinking of pranks. Unfourtunately Hiashi had already warned his son that any pranks directed at the ambassador could be dangerous for the village, and that was the last thing that Hiashi wanted.

The ambassador stopped in front of the two. And he bent over to talk to the heir or the clan.

“I would like to wish the heir of this most prestigious of clans a very Happy Birthday. May it go well for you,” he said, with a smile. Hinata blushed a deep shade of red, and moved further behind naruto.

“T-th-thank y-you,” she said, with a visible stutter. Hinata never stuttered that much, only when she was nervous or in trouble. The ambassador nodded, and stood up and began to talk to Hiashi.

“Come on Hina-chan, let's go. Everyone has already seen you, and their just going to talk to oto-san.” Naruto tugged on her hand, pulling her over to their friend from the other clans. Uchiha Sasuke stood over by his older brother, Itachi. He looked up to his brother, and Itachi nodded, allowing Sasuke to go play. He left his brother as Kiba and his sister's dog ran over to join them. Hinata was joined by Yukari Ten-Ten and Haruno Sakura. They ran into the garden, and started a game of hide and go seek, until it was time for thir friend to leave for home.

Hyuuga Homora went to Hiashi after the birthday celebration. They had to perform the sealing ritual to place the caged bird seal on his nephew, Neji. He was to protect Hinata with his life, literally. If something happened to her, he would be punished very severely.

“Hiashi-sama, we must begin the sealing process, and you must perform it yourself.”

Hiashi sighed. Four long years of trying to get a clan law changed, and it still hadn't happened. And the thing that made him feel like a hypocrite was that he had to perform the ritual. “I'm coming.”

Neji screamed in pain as the seal was burned permanently into his skin. He looked into his uncle's eyes, and saw remorse, pain, and anger. Neji was forced to have this done, he knew it was coming, and he accepted it, but he didn't like it. The pain finally overwhelmed him, and he passed out

“So, Hyuuga-sama,” a voice said to Hiashi's left. He turned and saw the ambassador.

“Oh, Subame-sempai, I didn't hear you come in. How my I help you?”

“I was wondering on what this caged bird seal did exactly?” the ambassador asked innocently. Hiashi's eyes narrowed.

“I'm not sure how you know, but that is privileged clan information. But because you already know about it, just know this: it will seal the eyes of the Byakugan upon the death of the user, and it allows the main house to bring pain to the branch house.”

“Ahh, just what I wanted to know. I must thank you, Hiashi-sama.” With that, Subame stood up and left the room.

Hiashi returned his attention to his nephew. He took a bandage and wrapped the boys head, hiding the seal from public view.

Hiashi's family quarters was filled with commotion. After the activities of the day, they had retired to their quarters for a smaller family celebration.

“Make a wish Hinata-chan,” Hana said. Hinata closed her eyes and scrunched up her face, thinking what she wanted her birthday wish to be. Opening her eyes again, her wish picked, she blew out all three candles on her cake.

After the cake was cut and eaten, her father passed her a gift wrapped box. As she tore open the wrapping paper, she saw the box. She opened it, and she saw a brand new kimono. She picked it up and saw that it was decorated with cherry blossoms. She hugged her parents.

“Thank you oto-san, oka-san,” she said, very happily.

Naruto than preceded to give her his gift. As she opened it, she saw a homemade picture frame, with a picture of the 2 of them together. She smiled and gave her brother a hug.

“Time for bed kids,” Hana told the two. 5, 4,3,2,1, she thought to herself

“Oka-san, do we have to?” Naruto whined. She smiled.

“Yes you do, Naruto-kun.” She picked him up, while Hiashi picked up Hinata, and took them to their separate rooms. She kissed Naruto on his head, and whished him goodnight. They switched places with her, and they said goodnight to the child hadn't kissed goodnight yet.

Around midnight, the door to their Hiashi's family quarters creaked open. Two silent forms crept into the apartment. They headed back to the hall. Very silently, they slid the doors back on the rooms that housed the Hyuuga siblings.

The one in Hinata's room put a rag over Hinata's mouth, the chloroform in the rag putting her into a drugged sleep. The other shinobi did the same thing to Naruto. They picked the two up, and left through the window.

The two had a perfect plan. Kidnap the two children, return to Kumo, and begin to analyze the Byakugan. It was a fool proof plan on how to get one of the continents most powerful bloodline into their village.

The one thing that they hadn't anticipated on was that the chloroform worked fast through Naruto's system. He had a very fast healing factor, and it quickly processed the drug through his bloodstream.

Naruto stirred. The ninja holding him looked down at him in shock. He shouldn't be moving! Naruto sluggishly opened his eyes, the effects of the drug still not fully out of his system. He groggily looked up into the eyeslits of the mask the ninja was wearing. He didn't recognize this person.

Fear ran rampant through his system. A seal on his stomach flared, and vanished into nothing. A red aura of chakra started to seep out of Naruto's system. Now the ninja was curious. Normal chakra was blue, so why was this child's red? As the shinobi was pondering this, an explosion of chakra erupted out of Naruto. His eyes turned into slits, and a furry fox tail and ears popped out of their respective areas. His Byakugan activated for the first time, and the killer intent he was emitting was enormous. The red aura started to disperse, shrinking back into Naruto until it barely covered his skin.

Hiashi woke up in a cold sweat. That killer intent, only one being could create such. And it was sealed inside Naruto. He got up and ran outside.

The shinobi dropped Naruto, fear in his eyes. Naruto landed on his feet, and as he landed, his right hand, which now resembled claws, swiped out and landed a deep wound on his leg. The shinobi jumped back, ignoring the pain and went through hand seals.

“Fï¿½ton: Daitoppa,” he shouted out. A powerful fall of compressed air flew at Naruto. As it neared, Naruto's hand sweeped out in pront of him, cutting through the jutsu effectively. His hands touched the ground, and he charged the man with a speed that rivaled Maito Gai's.

as he reached the kidnapper, he jumped, his chakra enhanced legs taking him higher than should have been possible for a three year old. His left leg slightly extended, he perfectly performed a back-flip, kicking the man squarely under the chin. Sliding back, the man was struck in the back by Hizashi, also having felt the killer intent.

He stared at his nephew, standing, tail waving behind him, as his chakra raised a wind, moving his tail. Naruto turned his head, his eyes stareing ate the other kindnapper. Naruto went to chase the man, but he fell on the ground as his chakra returned to his body, passing out from chakra exhaustion.

The man went to run for the gate, deciding one child was enough for now, but as he turned, he saw a very ticked Hiashi, Byakugan activated.

The man dropped Hinata and entered a fighting stance, but Hiashi calmly said, “You're in my field of divination.” Hiashi's eyes widened as the world slowly turned to green. “Hakke Rokujï¿½ YonshÃ¿!” Hiashi's hands turned into a blur, as he quickly and thorughly struck every single tenketsu on the mans body. With a final strike, his hand slammed into the mans throat, not only slamming the man's adams apple, but througly cutting off the chakra through the man's nervous system, resulting in instant death.

As the branch members swarmed the courtyard, Hiashi went up to the man that he had killed, and pulled off his mask, revealing the face of the Kumo ambassador. He shook his head, knowing the truth why they had come to Konha. He picked up Hinata, who had woken up as she hit the ground, crying. Her little arms, hugged around his neck, as Hizashi walked up to his brother, carrying the still form of Naruto.

“He's alive, but that was his first time using that much chakra. He will be knocked out for awhile.”

Hiashi sighed. There was going to be hell to pay. “Send a messenger to the Hokage, telling him what happened here. Before you do that, put the kids in Hana's care, and tell the Hokage that he might want to come by tommorow.”

Naruto woke to the sound of water dripping. Siting up, he looked around, having no clue where he was.

“Oto-san,” his small voice yelled out. He listened for a couple of minutes, and when no reply came, he hugged his knees and cried a little.

After he stopped crying, he stood up, and started to explore. He walked down the long corridor, seeing two different colored pipes, a red one and a blue one.

He quickly played Eeny, meeny, miny, mo, and he followed the red pipes. After a couple of minutes, he came to a giant gate. The pipes were fused into the gate permanently.

“Hello?” the blonde yelled out, scratching his ear. He froze, rembering where his ears normally were.

“Do not fear kit,” a soft woman's voice said from behind the bars. “it is only who you truly are.”

Naruto looked through the bars, and saw a beautiful woman sitting on a park bench. She had red hair, for ears, and a tail.

“Who are you?” he asked, shyly.

“I go by many names, but you can calm me Haruka. As for why I am here, there are many things that I must tell you. Many years ago, the day that you were born, I was sealed inside of you. This lead to you being transformed into a hanyou, a half demon. For many years, I was out of contact from a seal that was placed on you some time after my sealing. This process was to keep us separate, so that you could lead a normal life. The seal was to last as long as you were happy, and would break and vanish if you felt fear for your life or a loved one.”

Naruto walked through a door into the cage. He wnet over to haruka, and sat in her lap.

“So Haru nii-chan, what will happen to me now?”

“Now I will teach you the ways of the kitsune. I will only teach you some things for now, such as shape-shifting, so you can take on a human form, and not be seen as a half demon.”

“How long will it take nii-chan?”

“Not long. Just picture yourself as a human, no ears and no tail.”

“Like this?” Naruto focused his hardest, and was rewarded with a puff of smoke. When the smoke vanished, Naruto stood in front of Haruka, in all his human glory.

“Very good. Now, to warn you. Your senses are going to be improved. Your hearing and smell will be increased, no matter what form you're in. Your hair will also take a reddish tint. Now it is time for you to return to the world of the waking.” She kissed him on the forehead, and he fell back asleep.

3 Days Later

“The Cloud want you head, Hiashi-sama,” the Hokage told Hiashi.

“I knew that this was coming,” Homora said. “Therfor we have arranged for a body double to replace Hiashi. Instead, a branch member will go.”

“The only branch member that looks like me is…Kami no. I forbid you to send Hizashi!” Hiashi proclaimed.

“The word of the clan head can be vetoed in the case that it protects the head. He will go.”
