Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ Icha Icha Consequences ❯ Icha Icha Consequences (P) ( Prologue )
[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
The Setting: A nondescript restaurant in the Konaha Market District
"and you know, I never thought I would say this, but I really enjoyed this last one"
gasps, "I still can't believe you read them all!", "does your husband know" "Komiko!" "Ohmygod, how did you get the guts to actually go and buy them?"
The People: Four Young Women, One Chef, one poor lonely teenager
"I only bought this last one, Peter had bought the rest. I found them a month ago hidden in the yard. You know, at first I was kinda pissed off at my husband, but you know me, my curiosity got the better of me."
"So you read them all?"
"Yup! I gotta say, their not as bad as people make out. I was turned off at first..."
The Introductory Action: rice frying, coffee sipping and chatterboxing, one set of chopsticks frozen between bowl and gaping mouth.
"... well, because the women in the stories seemed so dumb, but that was the case for the men most of the time too. The characters start out shallow, but they start to gradually mature during the course of the second and third installments. If you don't forget that its pure fantasy, then the first three are kinda fun to read. And maybe a little, ah, titillating"
"but this last one was different?"
The Rising Action: Komiko whips out her copy, places it on the table and lays her left hand over it while continuing to give testimony with her right hand slightly raised. The chef and the teenager both stop to watch the spectacle.
"Oh my God! Yes, No! Just, I don't even know how to describe it. Incredible! It's hard to explain. The sex is still there but it turns more erotic, more sensual, a bit darker. The character immaturity is replaced by, well more like transitioned into, this reactionary anger that is at once the breaking of innocence and proof, though naivety and confusion, of their continued childhood. There is this sense of a growing fear of adulthood and separation. Taken in context of the last novel, rereading the firsts ones takes on a new light of doomed playfulness whereas before they had appeared somewhat tawdry and cheap. There is a blurring between evil, vengeance and duty, between desire, degradation, love and betrayal, between honor, fear and loyalty that approaches the sublime. The last couple of chapters are more heartbreaking and uplifting then anything I've read I think ever!!" Komiko pause to catch her breath.
"I tell you, since reading it Peter and I have reached a level of intimacy that .."
"Jeez Komiko, how long did you practice that speech!" laughter "You better keep it down, there's children present! Look at the boy, you've embarrassed him"
The Climax: Naruto's scarlet red neck disappeared into his jacket . He caught the eye of store owner who grinned at him. The owner looked up,
"It's on your tab, get outta here kid"
Denouement: before he got to the second part of his sentence, Naruto was gone amid of final flurry of adult female giggles and requests to borrow the book.
It had been like this for a week. Everywhere he went people were talking about IT. Everywhere he went there were reminders of IT. Everyone he saw was reading IT. Everyone he talked to was talking about IT.
IT was ruining his life!
