Claws of a Different Color

Ginsora was training by fighting one of her earth clones. It was made of solid rock so was hard to defeat. It looked just like a big pile of rocks but was really strong. She was just dodging attacks. Ginsora had more energy because she had just slept for an hour.

*Kai's always complaining I don't get enough sleep.*

It was true, she probably didn't, but, she never worried about it.

Ginsora had just dodged an attack from her clone when she sensed that someone had stepped on the battlefield. Her clone had taken aim for its new opponent. She told the clone “Crumble,” and it, well, crumbled into dust. Ginsora looked over to where the person was, it was a girl, just standing there but, she looked like she was in shock. Ginsora went over to her.

Kara couldn't believe it, what she had caught was a little puppy.

“Well where did you come from?”

“Akamaru!”

Kara looked ahead a boy was running towards her.

*This must be his dog.*

“Thank goodness, I thought I'd never catch you, Akamaru.”

Kara looked at the boy; he was glaring at the dog.

“I suppose he's yours?”

“Yeah, we were going to meet my team at the training grounds but out of nowhere he just, took off.”

He was still glaring at Akamaru.

“Weird…”

He looked at Kara, and just looked, like he was frozen.

*This is kind of creepy*

“Anyways I'm Kara. Kara Jinja. You?”

He defrosted for a second to answer.

“I'm Kiba.”

Kara leaned in close to him squinting her eyes.

“Are you okay? Something wrong?”

She was close to Kiba, he backed up.

“No I'm fine.” Kiba felt heat rise to his cheeks.

“So, Kiba is that it or do you have a last name?”

He spoke quickly.

“Inazuka. I'm Kiba Inazuka.”

This boy was acting strange.

Just then, Akamaru began barking and his head was turned to the bag Kara was carrying.

*All I did was put in the tuna fish I just bought.*

Kara put down the bag and opened it up a cat jumped out and ran.

*How did a cat get in my bag?*

“That was weird. Anyways I gotta get going. Oh, and thanks for sniffing out that cat Akamaru. That's the last thing I'd want to find in my bag when I open it.”

Kara walked away.

“Wait.”

She turned around, it was Kiba.

“I haven't seen you in the village before.”

“Oh, yeah, I'm a traveler.”

“Where's your family?”

Kara couldn't tell him the truth.

“My parents died from a disease and my younger brother died when he was born. So I'm traveling with friends.”

*That's good right? Right?*

“Uh, since you're new, uh, maybe I could show you around the village sometime.”

She had common sense.

*He's asking me out.*

“Okay.”

“I mean if you don't want to…”

“Sure.”

“If you'd rather…”

*Ok, now he's just being annoying.*

Kara spoke over him.

“Kiba I said yes.”

“Yes?”

“Yes!”

“Yes?”

“Yes, oui, si, hai. How many languages you want it in?”
(English, French, Spanish, Japanese)

Kiba just stood there.

“Ahh, so I'll see you tomorrow, at…3:00. I'm staying at the double-star dragon hotel. Room #36. See ya”
