Chapter 2 Fighting Back -Dreams of the lonely
A/N: I don't own Naruto. There it is said, happy? *laughs* However, I did make up the band, Horrors of Pandora, and the characters Sanayuki, and Sonoyoko. Not the best names in the world but who cares? Ok, the only reason this is continuing is because someone wrote a review, saying they wanted it to be continued. This person's review made me do a happy dance, lol. Also, I'm going to go soft on Neji. I went insane on the plot, though, because I forgot where I was going with it. Nice, huh?

-Third Person point of View -
Sanayuki grumbled as her companion, Sonoyoko ruthlessly pulled her long light pink hair into a bun before sticking hair ornaments into it. “Some brilliant plan! O wise and fearless Sana.” Sonoyoko hissed through her teeth, before jerking away to her own place onstage, just behind the curtain. Sana looked at her and just sighed, turning her attention to her bass guitar, she fiddled mindlessly with the pegs. She had to come to feel quite lonely since she had met Sasuke and Hinata, his mermaid, envying their love. They were so perfect and she was so alone, Sono had a boyfriend that was her true love, and so did many of her friends. Meanwhile she was left alone, like an ugly doll that no would play with, but thoughts like this would endanger her mission, so she put them aside. With a frustrated flick of her wrist, she turned on the amp, and put on a pair of opaque black sunglasses that would block out the blinding stage lights, Sono and Sasuke followed suit.
A shudder racked her body as the drapes creaked open, and she suddenly felt nude before this ball room of strangers, she froze as silver eyes seized her heart where it laid beating within her ribcage. When he smirked she unfroze and took hold of the mic. “Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, we are known as The Horrors of Pandora, and tonight we will be performing for you, we hope you enjoy the show.” She said in complete confidence, one hip jutted out with her wickedly green bass guitar resting on it. She saw Neji lean back in his chair and found him handsome, but she knew it couldn't be, for he was Neji, the one who took Sasuke's love away. These thoughts were sins darkening her mind, distracting her from all else till Sono played a few notes on her dark piano, bringing her into the song and away from her mind.
- Neji's point of View -
I leaned back in my chair, slipping the little vial out of my long sleeved. The potion that guaranteed one illusion of happiness with my angel, but I felt a pang of guilt when the pink haired girl locked her eyes on me. As if telling me that even though I thought I loved the kimono clad girl next to me, I was just running away. Somehow I knew that she was right, I couldn't love Hinata, but I would like to become a good brother, even though I knew that I would be alone. Somehow, just looking at that understanding figure onstage before me, I knew that it would be ok. She took a deep breath, ripping off the sunglasses to revel clenched eyelids. “NOW SONO!!!!” She screamed, slinging the guitar off, and jumping off stage to seize Hinata's hand, running as fast as she could, followed by the other two, and the boy's hat came off. “RUN!!! MOTHER FLIPPING RUN!!!!!” She screeched, passing Hinata's hand to the boy. Wait, THAT'S SASUKE!!!! My rage directed me after him, but that geisha stood in my way, determined to stop me. “I won't allow hurting either of them, Neji-kun.” She said with a smirk, flinging mirror shards into the air. I dodged them with ease. “You are a fool if you think that I would fall for such an immature trick. I don't believe you've given me your name quite yet, either, how rude of you.” I said with a smirk, gathering my own charka for an attack. She smiled, taking off her glasses to reveal her blue eyes that now lacked pupils and whites. “I am Sanayuki Minato, and you are the fool.” Her ghostly white hands glow a pale pink as her hands formed rapid seals and she was gone. Then a nonexistent kunai grazed my face, I turned and faced a completely transparent Sanayuki-san. Activating my bakuygen, I realized that this was no mere illusion. “Leave them be Neji, for you cannot win against me like this.” She whispered, a nonexistent breeze ruffling her clothes and hair.
- Sanayuki's Point of View -
`I am so Ra damned foolish! He won't fall for this, he won't fall for this, he won't fall for this-!!' My mind screamed at me while I tried to keep a steady flow of charka to maintain my ninjutsu. It was a simple concept really, my blood line trait enabled me to manipulate my charka in such a way that my body could allow solid objects to pass through, but it wasn't meant to do what I was doing. Normally, you only used it a bit at a time, not your whole body for extended periods of time, it was too much strain. If that wasn't enough, I also had clones waiting in the mirror shards with the same ability.
Neji smirked and tried to push his palm into me, but it only passed through, but I could feel the small amount of charka behind it. This was my art of the dark soul, and he wouldn't defeat it so easily. Focusing my charka, and wavering a bit, I made a kunai out of it, and went after him. Blood went flying from my lips as a solid wall of charka sent me back into a stone column. “Fine then, Neji-san, but realize that I am not finished!” I tried to sound confident but I sounded desperate as I stood with shaking legs. `I need a plan, something, anything, Ra damn it! I promised Sasuke-san and Hinata-san that I'd give them time to get out of here!' I took a deep breath and coughed up some blood and phlegm, spiting it on the ground as Neji approached. Charka against charka didn't work, so taijutsu probably wouldn't do much but it might buy more time than my previous attempt.
Neji was right in front of me, close, but still out of my arms reach, smirking. “So pretty, but so weak, no wonder you sing of loneliness, no man would want a weak ninja for a lover.” He taunted me at my very weakness, my inadequacy as a woman. My pink charka blazed into a visible form, and clouded my vision as my hands formed seals before my right hand smashed into the ground and thousands of sword handles came up from the ground through out the room. Each hand gripped the handles of the closest two and pulled them out renting giant wounds into the earth from whence they came. “I maybe weak, and I maybe alone with no one to love, but I am running towards my goal and if I should die while running at least I did it the right way!” We began to spar, his charka filled palms blocking and attacking, however, my rage blinded me and I just kept yelling at him in the now abandoned ball room. “But you are scum! YOU FORCED YOUR COUSIN TO COME WITH YOU AFTER ALL THAT YOU HAVE DONE! AND YOU JUST EXPECT HER TO LOVE YOU!?!! YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT LOVE IS! YOU'RE JUST SICK OF NOT GETTING YOUR WAY AND BEING ALONE!!” Neji was losing focus, but that didn't stop his attack from hurting me, most of the time I had time to use my jutsu so that they would pass though, but his rage made him faster and he hit me several times, but he still had to block my swords, and each time he would knock one out of my hands, I would just grab another. “WHAT DO YOU KNOW OF LIFE?! YOU WEAK ONNA, YOU WATCH LIFE PASS YOU BY WITHOUT LIVING TOO SCARED TO GO LIVE! ALL ALONE, TO SPEND YOUR DAYS AS A NINJA TO FARMERS THAT NEED THE WOLVES TO BE KILLED! WHAT KIND OF LIFE IS THAT?!!” He screamed at me, and tears fell down my face as my fist cracked on his jaw, swords abandoned, knocking him back onto the floor, I pounced on top of him and began to hit him repeatedly. “YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT ME!! I USED TO BE SCARED, BUT I'M TRYING TO LIVE, MUCH BETTER THAN MANY EXPECTED OF ME WHEN I FOUGHT AGAINST OROCHIMARU TO PROTECT MY VILLAGE!! THAT BASTARD TOOK AWAY MY ADEQUACY AS A WOMAN! NO ONE MAY WANT ME, BUT I WILL NOT LET YOU CALL ME WEAK, YOU LITTLE FUCKER!!” I was screeching now, sobbing as my arms grew weak as Neji held my fists back, a worried look in his eyes. “What is your goal, Sanayuki? What drives you into this blind rage?” He whispered, and I jerked my right hand back to bitch slap him across the face. His white eyes widened, and mine narrowed dangerously as my arms forced his arms down, I whispered with venom. “To become great, and regain my adequacy as a woman and a shinobi. Does this answer please you?” My tears dripped onto his face before I tried to jump off of him, only to have him roll on top of me. “Actually yes, it does, Sanayuki.” He whispered, lightly kissing my lips and I struggled beneath him, this was too familiar to that battle field, and I began to sob, no noise just tears.
/Flashback-Sanayuki's village shortly after their against sound, 3rd person point of view/
Sanayuki was still just seventeen years old when she had fought for her village, but their bravery wasn't enough to stop the sound. Her body lay half buried, bloody with soot all over it. Sound ninjas were sifting through the remains for anyone left to kill or take prisoner; it wasn't long before Kabuto's foot connected with her ribs earning him a whimpering, blood rendering cough from the figure below him. “Orochimaru-sama, I found that girl that spat at you earlier, and she's still alive.” The silver haired teen called to his master, and the snake came toward his new prey. “How pathetic, injured but not nearly enough to die on her own, wake the bitch, Kabuto.” He ordered, standing back, eyes glinting. The stupid whore had spat at him while turning to try to fight him; he had sent her spinning down to the earth with a simple fire jutsu. Her hair was burned and so were her clothes, but on the whole, she had come out of the fiery fall quite nicely. Kabuto tired to sit her up only for her to scream at an unbelievable high pitch from her fractured rib breaking completely. Tears rolled down her face and Orochimaru frowned, she was just a weak onna. “You spat at me, filth, so now I guess that I'll just have to teach you proper respect.” A brutal growl came from deep in the girl's chest as she launched her burnt and bleeding body up at him, a wire stretched between two fists, digging so deep that crimson flowed down her wrists. A sharp forceful blow to her breastbone knocked her back into Kabuto's arms. “The weak must learn to bend or break from the strong, whore.” Orochimaru hissed in sick joy. Her eyes widened and she became numb.
/// End flashback - Back to fight///
My knee connected with Neji's gut as I stood, cold and numb once more. “I won't allow this; you will never get me, bastard, even if I must kill apart of myself to stop you.” I stated, my charka covered hand pushing into the flesh of my hip till it was just past my wrist and winced as I began to draw out a sword from my own bone. “I would like to take you away from your pain, Yuki, I know what pain is, and you're right, I should've known that Hinata couldn't make it go away, but I would like to help do that for you.” His soft voice and slightly worried eyes made me pause; he stood still, unraveling my conviction with ease. “Give me the chance to be next to you, I'll make it worthwhile, Yuki.” No `Sana', just `Yuki', it sounded sweeter than I thought it would. Tears were quaking in my eyes, as my knees gave out and I pulled a bloody charka covered hand from my own hip. “If you're going to hurt me, just do it. I don't want to listen to your lies, Hyuuga.” I was crying now, and for once, I didn't really give a fuck.
- Neji's Point of View -
As she sat before me, admitting her own weakness, but no longer caring, I realized what true love was. She, in her own odd way was trying to teach me that what I thought I felt for Hinata wasn't what I thought it to be. “GO ON!! DON'T I PISS YOU OFF?! AREN'T I THE WEAK WOMAN THAT YOU DETEST?! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!” She screeched before curling up into a ball sitting on the dirty floor that no longer contained all of her summoned swords, and sobbed into her jacket's sleeves. I sighed and walked towards her, and sat down next to her. I pulled her into my arms, one hand wrapped in her falling thick pink hair, the other wrapped about her shoulders as my thumb made little movements of comfort. “I can't despise the one that just taught me so much.” I whispered, cradling her as I stood. She scoffed at me and chuckled darkly. “Little good it does you now, you a sure to be a missing Nin by now. You can't return to your home.” I just shrugged. “I don't give a fuck; I will miss my friends - like Naruto and Tenten, but I think I'd rather be here, I want to learn more from you about living and love, real love from you.” She smiled, holding my face she looked up at me with watery happy eyes. I couldn't take it, so I gave her a questioning look and she nodded, so I leaned down to kiss her. I smiled into it, for once I thought fate had dealt me a hand that was worthwhile, too bad her friend from onstage started laughing in hysterics. Yuki ended the kiss, blushing, but still cuddling up next to me. “Don't laugh Sonoyoko; you act worse with your boyfriend.” That got her to scowl, but then she smirked slightly. “I'll go talk to Sasuke and Hinata really quick before they get back to Konaha to tell them the good news.” With that simple statement, she turned away, walking out the door she had been leaning against, a spring her step as she contemplated ways to embarrass her friend. I just knew that was what she was thinking; you could practically hear her mental evil laugh. Her soft shaking made me look down to see that she was giggling silently, before she reached out to tickle my sides, making laugh with her, truly happy.
- Sasuke's Point of View -
I was worried when there was no one coming after us, though Sonoyoko was just as worried, she didn't let it show as she led us to the boarder of Fire Country. My worries were confirmed when Sonoyoko stopped at giant oak tree and began tapping at the bark till she pulled back a panel that was all but invisible to reveal that someone had cleverly used a life force spell to keep the tree a live and growing after they had hallowed out a generous amount of the inside. “Wait here, I'm going to go after Sana, she's a decent fighter, but I don't want to leave her there when she could be trouble.” She said curtly before leaving us in there, closing the panel.
I turned to Hinata and smiled. “Don't worry; they can take care of themselves.” Turning away, I mentally growled. `That wench! She knew perfectly well that we had to get out of here as soon as possible, and what does she do?! SHE LEAVES US IN A TREE!!!!' My mental ranting was stopped short when Hinata shyly took my hand. “Don't w- worry Sasuke-san, I - it will be ok.” I looked at her and smiled as she looked at me with that steadying, reassuring smile and for some illogical reason, I believed her.
Not great I know, but eh, might as well finish before I start posting what I've been writing lately - DIRTY HARDCORE YAOI WITH PIRATES AND DEMONS!!! I'm such a pervert, as my friend “Kitsune” loves to declare when I shove dirty Doujinshi under her un-perverted nose... teehee.. and there's only one or two more chapters left of this crap before I can finish typing my yaoi about Naruto getting railed.
