A/N: What’s up people! Thanks again to Dragon Lord and AlphaBeta for the reviews!
Dragon Lord: I’m glad you like the way the charrie is growing!
AlphaBeta: Yep new charrie! Lol let’s see how things begin to get out of control!
Ok people so here’s the next chapter! Hope you like it and I hope I didn’t leave ya hangin’ too long. Lol that stupid thing called life interfered with my writing again! There are now two computers in my house and I use a jump stick to jump back and forth between them! Still I don’t get a lot of computer time unless I stay up to the break of dawn but I’m trying so bare with me lol. Anyway on with the fic!
She opened the door and stood aside waiting for everyone to file in before her. Once
everyone was in she followed, closing and locking the door behind her. When she
turned around she found her entire team still in the entrance hall looking at her
expectantly. Frowning for a moment she wondered what the hell was going on before
she remembered her mannars. Clearing her throat while trying not to blush Aya turned
to look at Sereku with a stern look.
“This is Christianne, Christie for short,” she said beginning to make introductions
and pointing people out as she went. “Beside her is Lee, then there’s Sasuke, Sakura,
and Naruto.” When Sereku had shaken everyone’s hand Aya turned to them. “Since
everyone’s been properly introduced you’re all dismissed.” Everyone nodded and turn to
go to their rooms. Within minutes Aya found herself alone with Sereku, in her mind just
another useless human. When he cleared his throat Aya realized that she may have
been staring too long and cleared her throat.
“Well I guess first I’ll give you a quick tour then I’ll show you where you’re
sleeping. Apparently the Hokage already had your things brought here,” she said
pointing behind him to where luggage sat stacked neatly against the wall behind him.
Sereku turned to regard his things before he turned back to his squad leader with a
small nod. Aya only arched a brow at him before continuing.
“Once I’ve given you the tour then I’ll explain the rules of the house and what
you’ll be expected to do around here. After that your room and bathroom and you out of
my hair got it? If you have problems I’ll listen to them and obviously I’ll fix them, this
does not however mean that I want you running to me every time something goes
wrong.” At her final words Sereku only smirked at Aya which caused her to roll her eyes
in annoyance and heave out a long suffering sigh. “Well let’s get this over with,” she
said forcing herself not to sigh again. Brushing past Sereku roughly, Aya led him out of
the entrance way and into the large living room.
“Ok pay attention because I’m only going to do this once,” Aya said with her
patented smirk in place, “the place isn’t that big after all.” When a glance at Sereku told
her he either didn’t get the joke or just didn’t find it funny Aya once again suppressed
the desire to sigh and decided to just get on with it. “Ok to the right is the kitchen.
There’s a chore wheel up in there that you’ll be added to the minute I talk to Christie. I
expect you to do what it says you do for the week no questions asked unless of course
you really don’t know how to clean up.”
“That’s a woman’s work,” Sereku snorted suddenly causing Aya to whirl on him.
She stopped however when she caught a small smirk on his face, reigning in her
temper before she released it on him. Clearing her throat she forced a laugh and
continued on with the quick tour as she’d so deemed it. Sereku watched Aya’s
movements when he’d made the comment, formidable was all he thought but not
unbeatable he surmised and interestingly touchy. When she turned away from him
again he smirked thinking that messing with her would be too easy.
“To the front of us through those glass doors,” Aya continued trying not to stay
angry, “is the back yard. Usually training is done out there but we ocassionally have
lunch out there too,” Aya said with a shrug. With that said she turned toward the stairs
talking as she continued moving. “Grab your stuff and come this way,” she said before
turning back in time to walk up the stairs without injuring herself.
As he moved to obey Sereku arched a brow in amusement. Interesting, he
thought, it might be amusing to see if she’d done that simply because she knew the
house or because she had good instincts. Maybe a spar would tell him he decided, with
a little setup before hand of course. Grinning at how mad he thought Aya would
probably be if she found out she was going to het tested he hefted his bags and made
his way for the stairs. When he had climbed them he found Aya waiting in the landing
room with three doors leading out of it.
“The door to the left leads to Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto’s quarters,” she said
smirking when she caught the curious look on his face. “Don’t ask unless you really
want to know, and if you do ask, ask one of them. I don’t tollerate gosip within this
group, breaks down trust too easily.” Sereku nodded automatically when she said that,
he agreed with her assessment and mentally noted that she might not be such a bad
leader after all. Likewise with his nod Aya let a glimmer grow in her mind that Sereku
wouldn’t be too bad, though she squashed it flat before it could change her mind about
humans completely. Aya decided that moving on was a much safer subject for her brain
at this time.
“The middle door leads to Christie and Lee’s chambers, again if you wanna ask,
ask them,” she said with a shrug. With that Aya walked toward the right door and pulled
it open, proceeding Sereku into the hallway. “These are our quarters,” she said as she
continued walking down the hall. “This is also where the indoor facilities are located,”
she explained pointing out doors. “The first door to the left is the weight room, the one
across from it the dojo. The next set of doors are bathrooms, the one on the left is yours
the one on the right mine. You’re more than welcome to lock your door from the inside
as there’s a door in your room, which is the door right next to it, that leads into it. I’m
right across the hall if you need anything and I hope you enjoyed your tour,” Aya said
turning back to look at Sereku.
“Yes thank you, I appreciated it,” he said with a small smile that had Aya thinking
he was probably making fun of her somehow. Ignoring it Aya sighed and remembered
something she had forgotten.
“Oh by the way if you want to use the weight room or the dojo, they’re only to be
used from eight in the morning to ten at night.”
“Why are the times so late and early?” Sereku asked curioulsy arching a brow.
Aya only shrugged and grinned impishly despite herself, her crimson eyes and golden
pupils glittering with mirth.
“Mostly because the sounds echo through the whole house and can wake
everyone up. Well everyone except me perhaps since I’m either a) already up or b) stay
up late, or of course c) both. At any rate I wouldn’t risk it and wake Sakura or Naruto up
if I were you because they can be as scary as me when I’m woken up on a day off,” Aya
said with a chuckle. Sereku smirked nodding in understanding though his mind was
really on the fact that it had been surprising to see how Aya had transformed with the
change in her personality. Still he decided not to dwell on it and Aya shrugged reverting
back to her usual facial expression.
“Well are their any questions you have?” She asked arching a brow. Sereku
stared at her before he nodded once.
“Where did you come by such eyes?” He asked carefully. Aya shrugged smiling
politely.
“My father is a Vampire, hence the crimson, and my mother an Archangel, hence
the gold.” When Sereku only continued to stare at her she shrugged and smirked up at
him. “Any more questions?”
“No more right now,” Sereku said shaking his head. Aya nodded making a
sweeping motion with her hand toward his room.
“Well sleep tight,” she said with a shrug before she turned and went into her own
room, closing the door behind her. While Sereku was still looking after her with an
arched brow seconds later Aya’s head appeared again, poking out of her door. “By the
way,” she said very seriously, “tomorrow is an off day. Wake me up before I’m ready
and pay the peril on your own,” she said before a smirk alighted her face and her head
retreated back into her room. Sereku watched as the door was closed before he
smirked and walked to his room, deciding he’d like to see how their leader was when
her buttons were pushed.
A/N: Yea ok, kinda short but that’s where it wanted to end. I blame the story even if it is inanimate! Lol well you know what to do! Review! Thanks and I hope you liked it!

Chapter Nineteen: Mutual Curiosity
