AN: Okay so this takes place on the same day Gaara gets snatched. Eventually we will end up at the Hospital and all that random dialogue will make sense. Thanks for the feedback on that idea. Really didn't think much of it after thinking about it for awhile but it seemed like a good idea at four in the morning. Still needs a girlfriend though…anyone know any girls from the sand villages's name…great grammar. But we pretty much confirmed he can sleep right? Okay. Because that is going to come into play somehow…just don't know how yet…Maybe he'll wake up and the fangirls will be in his bed…Also anyone going to mind Ino dating Sai? Her and Rock Lee really isn't going anywhere. And on that same note. Sai called her beautiful because he thought that saying the truth would make her mad like Sakura? So Sai thinks that she's ugly? …I'm confused. Also does Sai really look like Sasuke? In your opinions I mean. I don't see it.

 

Anime Princess Inu Lover: Yeah Gaara will be rescued but you have to be patient. Thanks for answering my questions, thanks a lot for answering honestly. But yeah honestly by the end of the last chapter I had pretty much trashed the idea but thought I'd ask just in case. Also why are you only done with half the chapter?! I will cry real anime tears! Wah! Anyway keep reading please. And I need your opinion on the sai thing.

“Dammit!” Tsunade yelled having just read the message from a messenger hawk, it had been from Sunagakure. “Shizune! Get Naruto and Sasuke in here now!”

 

“What is it?” Shizune asked seeing the terror in the other woman's eyes. Tsunade just shook her head. “Okay do you want me to get Hinata and Sakura too?”

 

“Yeah, we're gonna need Sakura. And Kakashi.” Tsunade said with a sigh.

 

“Yes milady.” Shizune bowed and ran off.

 

“Gaara you had better live through this.” Tsunade muttered under her breath.

Hinata and Naruto were still sound asleep when Shizune ran in. “Wake up!” Shizune yelled shaking the two teens.

 

“Wha…Shizune what is it?” Naruto asked in confusion.

 

“Lady Tsunade needs you, now.” Shizune said simply. “Get dressed and go straight to Hokage tower.” Shizune let go of the addled teens and ran outside.

 

“Something's happened.” Naruto said standing up and grabbing his clothes.

 

“We should hurry.” Hinata said quickly dressing.

Shizune did the same with Sasuke and Sakura. Sasuke was already awake. “Shizune?”

 

“Sasuke I think something's happened. We got a message from Suna. I need you two to get up and meet us at Hokage Tower, as soon as you can.”

 

“Alright.” Sasuke said giving her a nod. Shizune left and Sasuke gently shook Sakura.

 

“Sasuke?” Sakura yawned and looked up at her lover. He was clearly worried. “What's wrong?”

 

“I don't know but Tsunade wants us to go to her office.” Sasuke said grabbing his kunai pouch. Sakura stood and began to change.

Finally they all gathered in Tsunade's office. “Gramma Tsunade what happened?” Naruto asked looking worried.

 

“Gaara's been captured…”

 

“What?!”

 

“How?!”

Tsunade held up her hand to stop the barrage of questions. “Do no interrupt me again.” She said tersely. “The Akatsuki have taken him. I want you five to o and do whatever you can to help. Sakura, Temari, and Kankuro have been injured. You're going to heal them.” Sakura nodded. “Kakashi take care of these kids.”

 

“Yeah.”

 

“Naruto, Sasuke, don't get yourselves killed.” The boys nodded. “You have your orders, go. And you better come back alive!” She yelled after the retreating figures.

“Ready?” Kakashi asked as he looked over his team.

 

“Ready.” Sakura nodded.

 

“Yes.” Hinata said looking determined.

 

“Born ready!” Naruto said punching the air.

 

“…” Sasuke just inclined his head slightly.

 

“Let's go.” Kakashi said turning and running. His team followed.

“Lady Tsunade. Homura and Koharu are here to see you.” Shizune said opening the door to the blondes office.

 

“Oh, joy.” She sighed as the two village elders walked in. “Yes?”

 

Homura spoke first. “We need to talk to you about the last mission you assigned.”

 

“Yes?” Tsunade said raising an eyebrow.

 

“As you know we have been very lenient when it comes to your…compassion towards the jinchuuriki.” He said.

 

“You will refer to him by his name or you will leave this room.” Tsunade said with a noticeable edge to her voice.

 

“We feel that you sending…Naruto to rescue another Jinchuuri…”

 

“Ahem!”

 

“To rescue Gaara was a reckless move. You are sending him right into the hands of the Akatsuki.” Koharu said after Homura had been cut off.

 

“He would have gone anyway.” Tsunade said simply.

 

“Which brings us to our next point. We believe it would be in the villages best interests if we were to restrict his movement.” The elderly woman continued.

 

“The villages best interest…seems like you two care more of the village as a place than it's people.”

 

“As Hokage it is your duty to protect this village. Already your decisions have caused strife.”

 

“Such as?”

 

“Such as allowing the Hyuga girl to wed the…Naruto.” Homura said bluntly. “A Hokage…”

 

“A hokage, would…” Tsunade said daring him to continue.

 

“Your predecessors would never had…”

 

“Wait, wait, wait. Let us examine that claim. Naruto Uzumaki walks up to Minato, “hey dad I have been dating this really amazing girl for almost a year now I think she might be the one can I get married?” I think the fourth Hokage would have said yes without even thinking.” Tsunade said with a grin.

 

“Well…”

 

“And the Sarutobi, my sensei…I hear he had a real soft spot for Naruto…I think I know him well enough to say he would have said yes too.”

 

“That's not…”

 

“Didn't really know the second all too well. But let me see. Would my grandpa have said yes what do you think?”

 

“Very well. We can see that you won't listen to reason.” Homura said turning to the door. He paused and looked at Shizune. Koharu did the same and began to turn.

 

“Either one of you says one syllable about my sexual preferences. Your head is going up his ass.” Tsunade said with a glare. Both elders looked offended and walked out.

 

“Shizune send me Danzo.” Tsunade said in a huff.

 

“Danzo? Lady Tsunade?” Shizune asked knowing the mutual animosity between the old man and the blonde.

 

“You heard me.” Tsunade said flatly.

 

“Yes ma'am.” Shizune said with a bow. Several minutes later She reappeared with the battle scarred man.

 

“You wished to see me?” He said with a small glare.

 

“Danzo, you and I both know how the other feels but in spite of that. I need you're help.” Tsunade said returning the glare.

 

“What is it?”

 

“I need root.”
