AN: Well sorry about the wait but I've been busy for the past few days. Sorry if the chapters alittle boring I promise the Sasori fight will make up for it. It'll be more original too.

 

Anime Princess Inu Lover: The Ino and Sai thing never accured to you? Okay just to check Ino was drueling over him when she first saw him right? It's been awhile since I read that part of the manga so my memory is a little fuzzy. I remember Sai almost calling Choji fat. And he really won't have a huge part in the story but I had to add him in case Kishimoto has him do something important toward the end of the series. “I hate this!” Naruto growled under his breath yet again.

 

“Naruto calm down.” Kakashi called to his student. “We need to stay in formation.”

 

“I can't calm down! Don't you get it?! These damn Akatsuki. I know why they want us. You all do too. I hate it people look at me and Gaara and…and all they see is the monster inside us. My life was hard. His was hell. And they come and decide that he hasn't suffered enough.” Naruto shook his head and fell back into formation.

 

“We'll get him back.” Hinata said patting his shoulder.

 

“Yeah. It's just so screwed up. I have you guys, Iruka sensei, gramma Tsunade, Shizune…who does Gaara have?”

 

“Gaara has us.” Sakura said with a smile.

 

“Right. And no one's taking him from us.” Sasuke said with a nod at his friend.

 

“Yeah. Yeah, that's right.”

“Excuse me?” Danzo asked raising an eyebrow…his only visible eyebrow. “Could you repeat that? I think I had something crazy in my ear.”

 

“You heard me right.” Tsunade stated flatly.

 

“May I ask why?” Danzo asked, he was an intelligent man but he didn't seem to be processing this information right.

 

“I think you just did. I'm paranoid.”

 

“No argument here.”

 

“…I'm worried that Homura and Koharu, may do something…drastic “for the good of the village” and I need you're help.” Tsunade said keeping her anger in check.

 

“You're the Hokage of course I will help.” Danzo said sarcastically giving a bow.

 

“…I…need you to do two things…” Tsunade said slowly. The keeping anger in check thing…not going so well.

 

“Yes? Can we stop going in this circle. You need my help. What help do you need?” Danzo asked tired of her pussy-footing (Wait a minute what? What does that even mean?) around.

 

“DANZO, I AM THE HOKAGE AND YOU WILL TREAT ME WITH RESPECT OR YOU'RE LOOSING YOU OTHER EYE!!!” Tsunade finally snapped and was inches away from him in an instant. She growled then forced herself to finish this conversation. “I need you to get one of your people to act as a body guard to Naruto Uzumaki. And I want you to watch Homura and Koharu. I don't know why but I get an uneasy feeling around them.”

 

Danzo seemed taken aback by this. “Imagine that.” He said with a chuckle. “An interesting turn of events.”

 

“Yeah I never thought that we'd be working together.”

 

“That's not exactly what I meant.” Danzo said enigmatically.

 

“Okay?” Tsunade said raising an eyebrow. “Anyway I want you to make sure they don't try anything drastic. And it's best if Naruto didn't know he was being guarded.”

 

“There are quite a few ways I can go about doing that.” Danzo said turning to her. “Would you like me to use someone near his own age. Maybe he'll be less suspicious of something right in front of him.”

 

“You have someone of that age?” Tsunade asked.

 

“Yes there is one in particular I have in mind. He should be able to form some kind of bond with the boy.” Danzo said thinking.

 

“Sounds alright. Even though if the rumors are true it won't be a real bond. I suppose it will do though.” Tsunade said with a shrug. “You have till they get back.”

 

“Any particular method you would like me to use when watching the village elders?”

 

“It doesn't matter as long as you know ever move they make. I want daily reports even if there's nothing to report.” Tsunade said firmly.

 

“And would you like me to look after Sasuke Uchiha?” Danzo asked as he turned to leave the room.

 

“Why?” Tsunade asked slightly surprised.

 

“Oh…well since he nearly defected from the village and is now being targeted by Orochimaru. Getting rid of him could also be seen as “for the good of the village.” So I thought I could asked my man to watch him as well.”

 

“Yes. Yeah that sounds like a good idea.” Tsunade said with a nod.

Meanwhile in Suna two very different village elders were quietly fishing. The woman was silent and still. “Sis, you dead? Sis?”

 

“Nah, I'm just screwing with ya.” The women named Chiyo laughed looking up.

 

“Jeez, that was way too real. Don't do that to me.” The old man said with a small smile.

 

“Elders, I have a request to make.” Baki said entering the room.

 

“We're like an old, outdated almanac, just leave us on a shelf to collect dust.” Chiyo said cheerfully.

 

“With all do respect. We need your help. There is an organization called the akatsuki that have taken Shakaku hostage. If we let them get away it could have dire consequences.” Baki began respectfully. They may be eccentric but they were two of the greatest shinobi Suna had ever produced.

 

“It's your generations problem. Let the young people deal with it.” The old man said without looking at Baki.

 

“But you both could accomplish more alone than the entire village. You have connections in every village, ally and enemy. With your help we could end this quickly.”

 

“I really don't care. I'm over most of my earthly desires. If I did want one thing it would be to see my cute grandson again but other than that I couldn't care less.” Chiyo said cheerfully.

 

“Well that's good news. Your grandson is part of the Akatsuki. Chiyo turned and raised an eyebrow.

“Well here we are.” Kakashi said as they arrived at the sand villages outskirts.

 

“We still can't slow down. Tsunade told me I had to help patch up Kankuro and Temari.” Sakura said dashing past her teacher.

 

“Yeah come on.” Naruto said grabbing the jonin and dragging him along.

Chiyo examined the two teens carefully. “I'm an expert in poisons, but this is beyond me. Sasori always was good at this stuff. We need one more versed in antidotes than I. We need Tsunade if you want these kids to live.”

 

“She's the Hokage now we can't expect her to come all this way. But she has sent a team here.” Baki said looking concerned.

 

“Then we just lost two shinobi.” Chiyo sighed.

 

“Not yet you haven't.” Naruto said from the doorway. Chiyo turned and upo seeing Kakashi charged.

 

“The white fang of Konoha! I kill you for murdering my son!” Chiyo lunged froward and Naruto jumped in front of her. After an exchange of blows Chiyo leapt back.

 

“Sis it's not him.” The other elder said grabbing her shoulder.

 

Chiyo looked him over and laughed. “Oh, your right. Sorry my eyes ain't what they used to be.”

 

“Can we focus on Kankuro and Temari?!” Sakura growled as she stepped over to them. She began using her medical ninjutsu to remove the poison. “There I think they're out of immediate danger.” She sighed. Temari groaned and opened her eyes. Kankuro did the same.

 

“What happened to Gaara?” Naruto asked, the anger evident in his voice.
