“The hell it's Uzumaki Naruto, it's supposed to be Namikaze Naruto!”

The boy known as Uzumaki Naruto turned and looked at the blonde man who spoke. The man's golden brows were pulled low over bright blue eyes that crackled in anger underneath bright golden hair and a leaf hitai-ate. Ruffled at the fact that the man looked a lot like himself and the Yondaime Hokage, he growled out, “Who the hell are you?”

Kakashi barked back in dog fashion, “Show some respect, you dolt! That's Namikaze Minato, the Yondaime Hokage and your Father!”

Everyone froze as sky blue eyes turned blood red. “My father… is dead.” His voice was bestial at best and nowhere near human. “I'm an orphan. And Yondaime Hokage is dead and Tsunade-baba is the Godaime! Nice try, now I know you are an imposter!” He summoned a clone and began to form the Rasengan.

He watched as everyone's eyes widened in shock. The Yondaime imposter yelped and took a step forward, pointing unsteadily at Naruto. “The hell! That's my Jutsu, Rasengan! Only Jiraiya and I know it!”

“Wait! Wait! Listen kid, no use using the Rasengan here, okay? You'll blow out the side of the building and then Tsunade will get mad,” Jiraiya yelped and waved his arms around, stunned that this kid knew the Rasengan.

For an instant, Naruto shuddered at the thought of getting hit by an even stronger Tsunade and he turned to his clone who was shuddering as well. The clone looked at Naruto and they shared a common thought.

I don't trust these idiots.

Unconscious of the fact that he was nearly naked, in a hospital room, and three stories above the ground, Naruto quit the Rasengan and summoned another clone. “I don't trust you.” He said, his tone low and menacing and more bestial than before. His red eyes narrowed and he glared at them as they all shivered at his dark tone. “I will get out of this.” With one clone controlling shape manipulation and the other nature manipulation, Rasenshuiriken was completed rather quickly.

“Holy fuck, he did it. Minato, he did it! He completed the jutsu! Your kid completed your jutsu!” Jiraiya's face was slack as he stared in awe.

Naruto wouldn't let the hermit's awe, his pride at the hermit's awe, or the crack about him being the fourth's kid deter him from his goal. Stepping into stance, and with complete control over his emotions and the Kyuubi, he swung and shouted, “Rasenshuriken!”

BOOM!

The wall crumbled and Naruto jumped agilely out of the hole and into Konoha where he froze. The fuck? I can't move.

“Kagemane no Jutsu: success.”

Tsunade, Minato and Jiraiya jumped down from the wall. “Good job, Shikaku.” Tsunade yelled as she landed.

Naruto stared uncertainly at Shikamaru's father. He looked nearly like Shikamaru except for the beard. “Maa, it wasn't a problem, Tsunade-hime.” Naruto glared and using a bit of Kyuubi's chakra, managed to move a few steps by himself. “Son-of-a- damn Tsunade-hime, he's strong.”

“'Tou.” Naruto glanced down to see a mini-Shikamaru, a year or two, tagging along with his father and staring at him suspiciously. Shikamaru stepped up close to him, albeit wobbly, and said. “No' `okage `enge.”

The fuck? Shikamaru's a shrimp! And already a genius. He knew something was up. Shikamaru was his age, perhaps a bit older. He used his eyes to look around. Everything seemed so much… newer than before. It was the same Konoha, but not the same. And it started to freak Naruto out.

He could be called dense and even, yes, stupid, but he wasn't. He knew that when Akatsuki had messed with his seal something weird had happened. And Naruto believed that he was transported back into the past where he would be safe from his and Kyuubi's enemies until the fox recovered all of his strength.

He just had to find out when the seal had transferred him to. “Ano… Where am I?” He mused aloud.

Shikaku turned absently after patting his son's head. “Konoha, kid.” He peered a bit at Naruto's face. “Man, you look like Hokage-sama. That's some henge. Except for the whiskers and the eyes, you'd be double.”

Naruto shook his head in frustration. Shikamaru had figured out that he wasn't under henge and he was less than two years old, so why couldn't his ninja father figure it out. And besides, he wanted to know when he was. “Dammit, I mean what is the date?”

“April 6th, kid”

“The year, as well, please?” He gritted out. He always hated the Nara way of getting under people's skin and he assumed that the day was the same day in his own time. But when Shikaku said the year of his birth, Naruto froze. “Repeat that year again.” When it was so, the red in his eyes was abruptly sapped away and he collapsed on the ground.

Now, Tsunade was not stupid. She knew the signs of panic. So when Naruto began to hyperventilate and turned pasty white and then slightly green, she rushed over and shoved the kid's head between his knees and barked out, “Breathe, Uzumaki-san.”

“Godsgodsgods….” He moaned out. “I am so screwed.” He looked up at Tsunade with a pleading look, looking suddenly weak, “Get me the hell out of here, Baba. Training ground seven please.”

Completely ignoring the `Granny' name Naruto had called her and concentrating on her patient, she called out, “Minato-chan, I mean Hokage-sama, Jiraiya-baka, come and help him out.” Tsunade motioned toward the two still dumbfounded men. “Now.'

Both blinking out of their stupor, one grabbed his arms and teleported to the training ground with ANBU in tow.

Tsunade shook her head and looked up at the immense damage. “I hope they can help the kid out.”

Needless to say, Minato was in a state of shock after they sat the boy down. He watched as Naruto nervously cleared his throat, “Um… okay. So… I'm not even born yet…” He let out a little laugh and began to rock.

“So, Naruto… How old are you?” Minato asked tentatively.

“Nearly seventeen.” The boy shook his head. “I can't believe it.” He pointed at Minato and Jiraiya and gave out another nervous laugh, “You… you… I can't believe it. This is not happening.”

Minato sighed and looked at the slightly green look on his son's face. “What, Naruto? What is it?”

Naruto looked up and gazed into his face, unnerving Minato a little. “You're dead,” he whispered shocking the hell out of the pervert sage and his pupil.

Nearly tripping over his own feet, Minato sat down beside his son and stared before asking, “How am I dead?” Jiraiya plopped down a few feet away and asked the same question, concerned for his pupil.

Naruto shook his head. “I can't tell you. Not now. I don't want to change the future. I need the future to go as it is supposed to go.” He took in a shaky deep breath. “I won't tell you.”

“Naruto,” Minato leaned over and looked him in the eye, blue eyes meeting blue, “I know you don't believe I'm your father-”

Naruto put his hand on his father's arm and squeezed, “But I do and that's the crazy thing. I'm beginning to believe all this hypothetical, psychobabble bullshit that my brain keeps feeding me.” He looked down. “I do want to believe it.”

“I know.” He gave Naruto a gentle look that took away some of the green and replaced it with a bit of pink. “And as your father, and the Hokage of Konoha, you must tell me what is it that will cause my death.”

Jiraiya cut in, “It is for the good of Konoha, gaki.”

Naruto looked into the steady blue eyes of his father and opened his mouth, damning himself for being so trustworthy of this man when he heard a loud boisterous voice that belied his own.

“MII-NAA-TOO-CHHAANN!”

Said man froze in place, stood, and then turned abruptly around and yelped, “Kushina-koi, you shouldn't be running in your condition.”

“Nah, we're fine, but did you hear the news? The baby's a boy! And somehow he's here from the future, probably from a worm-whatcha-ma-callit and he looks like you! What the hell is that? Why couldn't he look like me? I'm the one with the looks. I-” She blanched and stopped.

“Kushina?”

“My gods, Minato, he does look like you.”

Minato craned his head to see Naruto standing up straight and back to being pasty white as well. “The hell?” He took a step forward and nervously stepped from side to side. “Is that…”

The Yondaime sighed. “Yes, Naruto, that is your mother, my wife.”

The boy opened his mouth, then closed it and then opened it again to hoarsely say one word. “Mama?”

Kushina's eyes immediately filled and then overflowed with tears. “Hai, Hai my little fishcake.” Naruto darted forward and glomped the woman about the waist, her falling to the ground with a little oof on top of Minato's belly as he caught her, burying his face in her slightly rounded stomach.

He couldn't help but stare and hug this woman he knew instinctively as his mother. He hugged her tighter and breathed deeply of her scent struggling not to cry. He looked nothing like the woman except maybe the shape of her eyes, her height, and, it seemed, her attitude. She had long red hair and bright sky blue eyes and a kind smile. She also smelled like roses and sandalwood, perhaps from his father, and ramen. He nearly jerked away when he heard, with his heightened senses from Kyuubi, the slight movement of himself inside of her. He had forgotten that it was a mere six months until he was born.

This was his mother, his mother. It felt totally unreal.

“I have two parents?” He asked roughly, his voice muffled as he caught Minato's eye.

The Yondaime chuckled weakly, his eyes beginning to tear as well, “Yeah, son, you have two.”
