Chapter 2 New Girl

Blinds flew open quickly and light shone down on the pale face of Temari's who shielded her eyes from the sun, squinting her eyes as her vision became black until used to the bright light. She was tossed out of bed by her mother who's angry look drove her daughter to sit up right quickly so as not to be hurt. Temari glanced at the clock quickly; she had an hour to get ready for school to start, if she could survive this.

"You were supposed to be up a few fucking hours ago," her mother yelled as she winced. Her mom was having a hangover and taking it out on her sadly enough. "Get dressed you piece of shit before you're late!"

As she left, Temari looked around, a sign of fear in her eyes before it quickly disappeared behind her cold façade she put up to keep anyone from getting in and seeing the true self of her. Not wanting her mother to come in again she opened a box and searched around for a set of clothes. Finally picking one she put on the black pair of jeans with chains hanging down on each side and a plain black shirt.

Temari looked in the mirror atop her drawer brushing her shoulder-length blonde hair putting them into four pony-tails, and put on her greenish-blue contacts. No powder needed considering she was pale enough. Taking out her make-up kit from the drawer, she put on her black-eyeliner and black eye shadow while putting on a silver bracelet once given to her by her father.

The goth punkish girl stared at the bracelet a couple of moments remembering a past memory before he left, before her mother was like this, before her life was ruined. A small smile appeared on her face but disappeared as she realized it wasn't like before and this is how her life was now, how it would always be.

"Perhaps I could......actually make some friends here," she thought for a moment before adding, "Hell with that! They'll only betray me, like they do to other people. They are all the same, none any different from one another."

Grabbing her binder and stuffing it in her backpack she went into the kitchen grabbing a piece of toast before heading out for her new school: Forest Wood Jr. High. Her mother could care less if she told her when she headed out to school, she'd check her room to see if she was there or not to make sure she left. 'Luckily my mom showed me where the school was yesterday or I wouldn't know the way there.'

Temari kept walking passing houses and a few stores; it wasn't like the city where there were tall, huge buildings looming over and many people walking the busy streets. She sighed. How she missed the city. It was too quiet here. Arriving at the school she asked a teacher in the front outside where the office was so she could receive her schedule and books for this school year.

As Temari was walking there she recognized the girl she followed into the forest ahead coming her way. Her eyes were chocolate brown, which reminded Temari of ice cream for some odd reason. The girl wore a pink shirt and similar baggy black pants. Temari, who then looked at the ground finding her feet more interesting accidentally, ran into the girl dropping the girl's books. 'Crap. This just isn't my day!' she thought silently.

"Sorry," Temari murmured the apology to the girl quietly. "I wasn't watching where I was going." She bent down and helped the punk girl pick up her books.

The punk girl smiled, "That's alright, it isn't entirely your fault. I was busy reading the boards while I was walking."

The girl reached for one of the books right when Temari did as there hands touched. But of course this was an accident, or was it part of fate's intentions? They both slightly blushed and Temari pulled her hand away after shaking it off. She stood up and headed off towards her destination before running into the girl without a glance back.

The punk girl blinked in surprise and picked up her last book then heading down the hallway. 'What a strange girl.' She thought before being interrupted by a familiar voice calling out her name.

"Tenten!" Turning around the sound of the voice she saw her best friend Hinata.

The mentioned girl, Tenten, called back, "Hey Hinata! What's up?"

Hinata caught up with her friend panting slightly. She was a bit shorter then Tenten and had dark blue hair cut short with light violet eyes; smiling a bit she answered her, "Nothing much, but I found out there's a new girl here! She has our next class too. I hope it isn't one of those preppy kinds of girls that we have all over the school."

Tenten laughed. "Me too but you shouldn't really speak badly of them, that only stoops us to their level you know."

"Right, right. Whatever you say." Hinata rolled her eyes.

Both girls walked into the classroom taking their assigned seats, which was next together luckily. Tenten looked up in the front of the room watching boredly as her classmates piled in the room quickly before the bell rang signaling the start of class. She glanced out the window yawning. 'God this teacher bores me.' There was a knock on the door and her attention was appointed to it waiting to see who it was. 'Must be the new girl.'

Temari walked in, her eyes cold with no emotion whatsoever on her face. People stared at her for a few moments before whispers began to erupt. 'Yes that's it, say bad things about me, but what comes around goes around and I'll have payback soon you worthless creatures!' The teacher silenced the students unable to introduce her until they were.

"Class, this is Temari Desert (A/N: I don't remember her last name, if she had one...) she just transferred here from the city. Hope you welcome her nicely as everyone else you have." The teacher smiled and turned to Temari while pointing her to an empty seat next to Tenten, "That is your assigned seat for the rest of the year."

"Okay whatever you say," she replied coldly, glaring at the teacher and her classmates around her before sitting in her assigned seat. It was the girl from earlier, again. 'Oh well isn't this just my lucky day...' Temari wasn't really in the mood right now, the principle had yelled at her for some unknown reason, adding the principle to her death list.

Tenten looked at her, taking in her appearance for once and smiled. "Hi! My name is Tenten." She held out her hand, waiting for the other girl to take and shake it.

"Uhm right..hi." Temari said. She stared at Tenten's hand a few moments, wondering if it was just another joke like ones others played on her. After taking a bit of consideration in her mind she reached out slowly and shook Tenten's hand, smiling slightly so barely anyone would notice. 'Perhaps I do want a friend,' Temari thought for a few seconds before adding, 'nah, no I don't.' She pulled back her hand and stared at her desk, so Tallia would probably leave her alone after that.

Tenten got the hint and pondered for a bit. 'It's as if she's never had shaken someone's hand before or something. Oh well.' Class continued on as the teacher's boring like voice droned on.

A/N: So Hinata is not shy anymore thanks to me. That's a good thing right? I don't want her to be...bwahaha! Please read and review! Twould be nice of you!
