Hello everyone, how have your exams been? Mine were good I passed them all.
Thanks for reviewing:
Camp-crystal-lake: He isn't going to forget? He has a village to run, a market place to build, Eho to worry about… He has a lot on his mind. Just one day can be enough!
Surim: Thank you, I'm happy to read you liked it from chapter 1.
Nightbloodwolf: Yeah, a jealous Gaara is just to fun. And I'm glad you like the story… and the lemons.
Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto and I don't make any money from writing this.
After lunch Kou-sensei excused himself and left me alone with my redhead.
“Look what you did! You scared him away.” I played shocked. Gaara had been showing public affections the entire meal and the smirk that showed on his face every time he heard the women around us starting to gossip, was enough to know the meaning behind it all. During the dessert he had even pulled me onto his lap where I was still sitting now and I had to admit it felt great to sit on my spot again.
“His wife's going to be happy.” I rolled my eyes.
“Like, she was going to believe those rumors.” Maybe I didn't know her, but seeing how Kou-sensei talked about her I was sure she knew she was the only one for him. “And, thinking that you were to one who was against stopping with the plan.” I whispered the end making sure nobody hear me.
“You were right, it isn't necessary anymore and now I have to make sure everyone knows you're mine!” My heart jumped hearing his possessiveness and I felt for the billionth time heat rush to my cheeks.
“Like I would accept anyone else…” I mumbled and ignored the smile that showed on the redhead's face. “Let's go, don't you have work to do?” I asked while mentally demanding my cheeks to lessen in color.
“I'm still on my break.” I looked odd at him.
“Since when do you take such long breaks?”
“I'm in the mood to take a stroll.” He ignored my question.
“And since when do you take strolls?” My look was getting odder with the minute.
“Since I'm with you.” In a second my whole face looked redder than before and the rascal raised me to my feet. Gaara looked at the waitress, who understood he wanted to leave and quickly prepared the bill. Giving me a peck on the lips, he pushed me to the front door ignoring everyone who was looking at us.
`He surely succeeded in getting everyone's attention.' I blushed embarrassed. The Kazekage paid our lunch and once outside I turned to him. “So where do you want to parade too?” I got a smile for my word choice while he laid his arm around my waist.
“Let's see how far they are with rebuilding the market place.” He decided and started to lead me.
“You do know that you could do that in an hour.” He could clear the sand and make the square even again. After that the villager could remake their shops.
“I'm not going to take over that many jobs, it would destroy the economy.” I realized that he was right.
“Yeah, and that would make more work for you.”
“Exactly.” He smiled and waved back at a little girl who was shopping with her mother. The whole stroll to the market place I could see people pointed and gossip about us.
`Not surprising, he was tired of me and now he's sticking to me like glue.' I glanced upwards at my guide and clearly he was enjoying this.

After checking the progress of the rebuilding we walked back to the tower and found a scroll waiting on us. I had decided to help Gaara a little with his paperwork; since he couldn't hide that it would keep him up whole night again and was surprised to see a pigeon getting comfy on the Kazekage's chair.
“We have a new leader.” I mumbled while my eyes went from the bird to the scroll which Gaara had picked up. I watched the sea-green eyes narrowed at the ending and frowned.
“What is it?”
“It's from Honoo-san.” He mumbled while giving the scroll to me. A little surprised I was allowed to read it I accepted. It contained two letters, one in code and the other was probably the translation. Reading through it, I didn't really see a problem until I read the last sentence. Looking up at the coded text I noticed the last sentence was written by someone else than the above and knew it could only be Sasuke.
“He was the one who told me about the whole clone and chakra thing, so he knows about it.” I explained trying to get the redhead out of the jealousy mood that was settling itself over him.
“He shouldn't have written that.” With a sigh I looked down at the text.
`Protect Shizuka or I'll kill you!' I read and rolled my eyes. `He's acting like an overprotected father.' “He probably just wanted you to question me and make me spill the beans if I hadn't done that yet.” I said looking up and watched Gaara wave annoyed the pigeon off his chair. Finally getting rid of the bird he sat down with a ploff. Shaking my head in disbelieve that he could be so childish, I walk over to him. When I stood before him, he refused to look up, making me raise his chin. I waited until he looked me in the eye before descending and capturing his lips in a passionate kiss.

After burning the message, we didn't want to leave any traces; I went to Washi's desk to help him with sorting the files that were still taking over his office. But after an hour he chased me out when I kept making more mess. It wasn't my fault he was the only one who could comprehend the order of the piles he had made. Then I decided to look for Temari but didn't find her anywhere. `Where the hell is she?' I wondered while retreating back to my room.
-
I let myself fall down on my back on my bed to relax but felt a bump against my buttocks work against me. Remembering the rubber balls I grabbed them out of my back pouch and sat up. `I guess I need to continue with my training.' I remembered myself and went to work.
-
It was evening when I gave up for today and let my cramped hands relax. As on cue someone knocked on my door and after I yelled that they could come in, Temari was standing in my room.
“Where have you been all day?!” I yelled surprised to see her.
“I had a doctor's appointment and don't forget I have a wedding to plan.”
“Why didn't you tell me? I would have loved to help.”
“I tried but Gaara didn't appreciate my interruption… although he had enough work waiting for him.” She mumbled the end. She clearly hadn't forgiven her little brother for his sand wall he had used to chase her away.
“Sorry…” I apologized for my redhead and got a considering look back.
“I'll forgive you, I'm already glad that you two are happily together again after everything that happened, I've heard the rumors!” I couldn't help but smile. “They're going from `She has found a way to get him interested again' till `She used a forbidden jutsu!'. With what they come up…” The blonde shook her head.
“And to think I didn't do anything, Gaara was the one…” The big sister giggled while nodding.
“What I came to ask, would you help me with cooking?” A little surprised she actually was planning to cook I stood up as answer.
“What are we making?”
-
With Temari's guiding I succeeded in really helping her and at the moment I was walking proudly towards the Kazekage's office. I passed a group genins with their teacher and the loud one, the only boy wasn't embarrassed to tell me they were going on their first C-ranked mission. While the two girls were looking interested at the plate I was carrying. They giggled together like they had some big secret, which they're teammate noticed and he started to whine he wanted to know. The jounin accompanying them was clearly used to it and gently pushed them to continue their way out. I wished them good luck and a safe return which got answered with a `no problem' by the boy and more giggles by the girls. Their teacher said a friendly goodbye and I continued my way.
-
“Gaara?” I popped my head true the opening of the door. He looked up from between different piles of papers and looked a little surprised at me. “I brought dinner.” I said while raising the plate to emphasize.
“Excuse me, Shizuka-sama.” I heard from behind me and quickly made room for Washi. He picked up the next pile before looking at me with my plate. Realizing what I had brought he looked around to find place. When he didn't seem to make any progress Gaara used his sand to make a small table next to him.
“Temari and I made it.” I said a little proudly while putting the plate down. The redhead interested grew when I said that and he turned his chair to his self-made table. Carefully he picked up a first bite with the chopsticks and ate it thoughtfully. “It isn't poisoned.” I eyed him sarcastic.
“It's good.” The blue-green eyes slid to meet mine and a smile formed itself on my lips. Suddenly knocking interrupted us and the next group of genins entered when Washi opened the door.
“I'll leave you to your work.” I suggested but a hand stopped me.
“Could you… and Temari get Aya?” The Kazekage asked and I nodded a little surprised.
`What would he want with Aya?'
-
We found the little girl at home, at first she thought I brought some bad new about Kaeda, but I quickly reassured her, her aunt was alright. Keiko tried to keep us in the house, she had house arrest and probably felt a little lonely, but we had to go. Getting back at the Kazekage tower Temari left us once inside. She knew she had been ordered to accompany me for my safety.
“Gaara's really too protective…” I heard her mumble as she went back to her room to plan her upcoming wedding.
`If only she knew everything.' I thought. `Knowing her she would react just like her brother.' Shaking my head I followed Aya to my redhead's office.
While walking through the corridor I suddenly stop. I was certain I had seen an ANBU watch me from the window. `Probably that nin who keeps toying with me.' I glared at the wall where I felt a little spark behind and quickly followed Aya. After the twelve year old knocked politely we entered and found two more nins than expected inside.
“The four of you will get a D-ranked mission.” Gaara started and my eyes opened surprised. `I didn't think he would send me on any missions with Eho still out there.'
“Tonoko-san, the baker, requested protection of his new machinery and of course help for building his bakery.”
`Ohw, it's that kind of mission.' I realized. Missions they only send Genins on to teach them to work as a team. `I should have known he wouldn't let me leave the village.'
“Shizuka.” He said at the ending of the report and signed I had to give him my hand. A little surprised I laid mine in his and felt him channel his chakra inside me. `Sending me on a mission in the village with three other nins isn't safe enough.' The sarcasm was running in my mind, but this way I could move sand again!
Once outside of the office we introduced ourselves to our new teammates. There was the teamleader, Jakuchu-san, a chuunin, a twelve year old boy, Michio-kun, a genin of course and with Aya and me we were with four like it should be.
Stephke23: I hope some parts weren't too rushed, but I really wanted to update before going on vacation.
