Naru to stared out of the hospital window, not moving an inch. He had been there for several hours and she still hadn't woken up. Her team had come, but left soon after; he was the only one in the room now. He turned to face her body and sighed; he got up from his seat and walked over to her. "Hinata-chan... please wake up soon," he thought. Sasuke had brought Hinata back to Kohona and Naruto almost instantly went to her room after he'd woken up from his fight with Gaara. "I should have been there before you were hurt," he mumbled.
Suddenly, the door to the room opened and in stepped Kakashi and Hinata's father, Hiashi. "Naruto you must leave now," Kakashi said.
"But... Kakashi-sensei, I want to--" Naruto was about to protest, but Kakashi interrupted him.
"Naruto! You must go home and change, you know what happened to the Hokage," he said. Naruto was about to say something else, but then just nodded and walked out of the room with his head bowed. When Hiashi was sure that Naruto was out of earshot he began talking.
"What did you do to my daughter?" he questioned.
"I do not know what you mean by that," Kakashi said.
“My daughter would never run into a dangerous situation like that!” Hiashi said.
“Not even for her village…?” Kakashi asked; Hiashi opened his mouth, but said nothing. “It’s surprising that someone with the Byakugan can’t see the change that Hinata has gone through.” Hiashi didn’t respond, he just looked at his daughter. “Her confidence has been rising ever since the Chunin Exams… I was not surprised when she left with my student.”
“I… just don’t want her to get hurt,” Hiashi finally said. “She’s just like her mother… in so many ways… I don’t want Hinata to die.”
“Are you saying this because you love her… or because she’s the heir to your clan?” Kakashi asked. Hiashi was silent for a few moments before answering.
“She being the heir to the Hyuga clan has nothing to do with it,” he said.
“Oh really…?” Kakashi thought.
“She really is just like her mother, doing something unexpected of her, I mean,” Hiashi said and then began walking out of the room. “Please notify me when she awakens.” Then he was gone; Kakashi looked back at Hinata’s sleeping body.
“Naruto is not the only one who has helped Hinata,” he thought. “But… Mayu might already be gone… according to what happened last time.” Kakashi stared at Hinata for a few more minutes before heading towards the door. “I hope that isn’t the case,” he said to himself before closing the door. The room was silent except for the soft breathing of Hinata. Suddenly, the window slowly slid open! Someone jumped into the room silently.
The person walked over to the bed. “Why have you not awakened?” the person said to himself, but was really addressing Hinata. “Are you just gone again?” Sasuke ran his fingers through his hair and sighed. “Or are you just too lazy to get up?” He stared at Hinata’s unmoving body for a little while longer. “It’s probably the latter of the two since I’m talking about her…” Sasuke thought holding his hand out over Hinata’s hand. He suddenly stopped when he saw that her hand flinched!
Sasuke backed up in surprise. “She’s waking up now…?” Sasuke thought. Hinata’s eyes looked as if they were about to open. Sasuke’s heart began pounding against his chest; he licked his dry lips. “Why do I feel so anxious?” Hinata sat up and rubbed her eyes a little; she stretched a little. Sasuke swallowed nervously and then he bit his lip.
“Hey…!” he said yet it was only above a whisper. Hinata flinched and then slowly turned around. “This is it… is she still here?” Hinata opened her mouth to speak making Sasuke unconsciously lean in.
“Sasuke-san… what are you doing here?” Hinata asked confused, she looked around. “Where am I…?” Sasuke couldn’t believe what he’d just heard; he was expecting something along the lines of Sasuke, you idiot… or even bird brain. Not Sasuke-san…
“That means she’s no longer here,” Sasuke thought. "You're in the hospital, Naruto found you when he came," he answered out loud.
Sasuke began to walk towards the door. "I can't believe it... she's really gone," he thought opening the door. "It shouldn't have been a surprise to me... the last time she was stabbed in the back... she left, but still..."
"Hey! Is that any way to thank us for practically saving your life, bird brain!?" a familiar voice stopped Sasuke from walking any further. He turned around slowly to see Mayu siting on the bed; Hinata was already standing up. "Can't even get a thank you from ya!" Sasuke walked slowly towards the girl; she was glaring at him like he had just stole her cookie.
"You've got a lot of ner--" Mayu started to say, but didn't finish because Sasuke had wrapped her arms around her in a most unexpected hug; she froze up! Now Mayu being Mayu... she grew scared... this wasn't the first time he'd done something like this, but it was still very shocking! Hinata looked on in surprise and then a gentle smile creeped up on her face.
"Um... Sasuke-san, Mayu-san... I think I'll um... go somewhere," she said and then walked out of the room closing the door behind her. When the shock finally wore off, Mayu's face lit up because Sasuke was still holding her.
"L-Let me go, bird brain!" she practically hollared. Sasuke did what he was told and frowned slightly.
"Well, excuse me for thinking you were dead!" he said; Mayu instantly felt bad.
"I'm sorry... I had no idea you value our friendship this much," she said with her head bowed slightly. Sasuke sat on the bed next to her and sighed.
"Whatever..." he said. The two sat in silence for a few moments until Mayu thought of something.
"Um... Sasuke..." she began.
"Yeah...?" he said absent-minded.
"What... happened after I was... knocked out?" she asked; Sasuke gave her a glance as if to ask why. "I heard a scream... and who threw those shuriken at me in the first place?"
"... It was Sakura... she threw them," Sasuke answered. "She thought you were in league with the sand and you were protecting Gaara."
"I knew it! That lil' pink-haired bi--" Mayu's thoughts were interrupted by Sasuke continuing to speak.
"I assume you want to know what happened to Gaara as well?" he asked; Mayu nodded her head. "After Gaara realized that you might be dead he attacked Sakura for throwing those shuriken at you... that's why you heard that scream."
"HAHA! JUSTICE!" Mayu thought grinning.
"Why are you smiling?" Sasuke asked.
"No reason...!" she answered nervously.
"Anyway, Gaara and Naruto started fighting and after the fight with Naruto, his comrades carried him off... he got away," Sasuke finished. He noticed that Mayu was trying desperately to keep a straight face. "I don't care if you're relieved of not, ya know."
"Thank you..." Mayu said smiling slightly.
"For what…?" Sasuke asked curious; Mayu patted his head and laughed when Sasuke smacked her hand away. "I'm not your pet!"
"Sasuke... what happened while we were gone away from the village?" Mayu suddenly asked making Sasuke grow silent. "Sasuke... answer me! What happened?" After a few moments of silence, Sasuke finally opened his mouth to speak.
"You do notice that I'm wearing black right?" he said.
"Sasuke..."
"What?"
"YOU WERE WEARING BLACK THE LAST TIME I SAW YOU!!" Mayu yelled; Sasuke almost flew off the bed... almost. "Get to the point already!"
"Fine…! But the reason I was trying to stall you was because Kakashi said you wouldn't like the news," Sasuke said. "I don't know why... it's not like you knew him."
"Sasuke...! If you don't tell me right no--" Mayu started but Sasuke said something that instantly shut her up.
"The Hokage... is dead, he died last night," he said. "Kakashi said that you would get upset from this news an--" Sasuke noticed that tears had started to well up in Mayu's eyes.
"He also said that you would cry over it," he continued as the tears flowed down Mayu's face. Sasuke reached into his pocket and pulled out what seemed to be a chocolate bar. "Here, eat this. He said it will make you feel bett--" he was interrupted by Mayu snatching the chocolate from his hand and her crying. Sasuke sighed and then patted her back as she ate the chocolate. "Why me...?" he thought.

Hinata was walking around the first floor of the hospital. She hoped she would see Naruto but sadly he wasn't there; no one was actually. The nurses and dotors were all gone. "I wonder why that is..." she pondered silently as she sat down; she almostly instantly shot back up because of the pain in her back. "That's right... Mayu-san was hurt and when she returned to my body... I felt her pain. Does that mean whenever she is hurt... I feel it too?" She slowly sat down, this time having her back hunched over so that it wouldn't touch the back wall. "Speaking of Mayu-san... she and Sasuke-san seemed to have gotten closer than a month ago," Hinata thought. "I wonder if... maybe... they--"
"Ah! Hinata-chan!" a familiar loud voice interrupted her thoughts. Hinata knows who it is. How could she not have known? Hinata slowly turned to face him with a blush on her face. Naruto was wearing all black for some reason and he held a basket full of fruit in his right hand.
"N-Naruto-kun...!" she said standing.
"I thought you were still asleep!" Naruto said. "I'm really glad you're okay." This statement caused Hinata's blush to deepen.
"Thank you... um... that fruit… who is that for?” Hinata asked shyly.
“Oh, I brought this for you, Hinata-chan!” Naruto answered picking a banana from the basket. “Here, try some!” Hinata blushed as she reached out to take the banana from Naruto but their hands touched making Hinata’s blush deepen even more; Naruto face became slightly red as he placed the banana in her hand. Hinata quietly peeled the skin off of the banana and didn’t say anything after that. So it was up to Naruto to come up with something to say! “Hinata-chan…?”
“Yes…” said the timid girl.
“Um… how’s your back?” he questioned. “I heard the nurses saying that you had marks from shuriken there.”
“Oh…” Hinata said thinking back to when she saw Mayu get attacked by Sakura.

FLASHBACK!
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-**
“That girl…? She looks like that girl that was sitting next to me. But why is she here?” Hinata heard Sakura muttered from her hiding place. Sakura was standing next to the fallen Sasuke. “Is she protecting that monster?” Hinata didn’t know why but she suddenly grew a little angry.
“Perhaps Mayu-san is rubbing off on me,” Hinata thought. Then she saw that Sakura was reaching for the holster on her leg, Hinata’s eyes widen as Sakura pulled out three shuriken. Before Hinata could react Sakura had thrown the deadly weapons! “MAYU-SAN!” she screamed in her mind.
"NO, SAKURA, DON'T!" Sasuke yelled, but it was too late; the shuriken had already made a sickening thud into Mayu's flesh.
"Mayu-san...!" Hinata whispered as she watched her friend fall off the branch that she was on with Gaara.

"Hinata-chan, are you okay?" Naruto's voice snapped Hinata's out of her thoughts.
"I'm fine, Naruto-kun, my back doesn't hurt as much anymore," she answered.
"That's good to hear!" Naruto said sighing. The two sat in silence for awhile; Hinata was still blushing because Naruto was sitting really close to her.
"He's so close that I could put my head on his shoulder!" Hinata thought in glee.
"...Hina... Hinata-chan, I have a question," Naruto said breaking the silence; he'd stopped eating the apple and was now staring at the piece of fruit.
"Y-Yes, Naruto-kun...?"
"When I came to the fight, I saw a girl," Naruto began making Hinata flinch. "She was protecting Gaara and because of that Sakura-chan threw shuriken at her."

ANOTHER FLASHBACK!
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-**-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
"... There is a monster inside me... a demon. You've seen it; you know what I am... Why do you still want to...?" Naruto heard Gaara say to a girl; she looked his age. "Why do you not hate me?"
"Who is that girl?" Naruto thought as he stared intensively at the two. "And why is she...? Where is Hinata-chan?" he looked around for her until he heard the mysterious girl's next words.
"Gaara-kun, no matter what any of my best friends do... I can’t even imagine hating them... ever! And it that makes me a traitor..." Naruto heard her and then saw her smile. "So be it," she finished and then kissed his tattoo. Gaara looked at her in surprise and to Naruto's surprise Gaara's face returned to normal and so did his arm!
"Who is she? She can make him change back into his normal form!" Naruto thought.
"NO, SAKURA, DON'T!" Sasuke voice made Naruto turn to face him. He saw that Sakura had just thrown some shuriken at Gaara and the other girl. Naruto saw the shuriken sink into the girl's flesh; he watched her fall from the branch.
"Sasuke-kun, what are you doing?" Naruto heard Sakura's frantic cry; he looked to see that Sasuke had jumped off the branch and was trying to grab on to the girl.
"Sasuke knows her!" Naruto thought with his eyes wide. That's when the girl suddenly disappeared in a cloud of smoke and Sasuke was just free-falling. "I have to help him! He probably doesn't have enough Chakra to stick to any of the trees!"
But before Naruto could make a move, he felt a warm liquid on his face. His hand went to wipe off whatever it was. What he saw shocked him... blood. And even more was dripping on his face! Naruto looked up to see... "Hinata-chan...? Hinata-chan!" Naruto quickly jumped up to the fallen girl. He kneeled over her and saw that her eyes were a little glazed over, and blood poured from her mouth. "Hinata-chan! Hinata-chan, what's wrong?" Naruto's voice was frantic.
"N-Naruto-kun...?" the girl replied before closing her eyes.
"AAAAHHH!" a scream... Sakura's scream...

"Hinata-chan, do you know who that girl was?" Naruto asked. "I can't help but think I saw her somewhere before."
"Um..." Hinata replied.
"Hinata-chan... you know who she is, don't you?" Naruto asked; Hinata nodded reluctantly. "Who is she...?" Hinata didn't say a word which made Naruto frown. "Hinata-chan, we're friends... right?"
"Y-Yes...."
"Then please tell me...! Why was she protecting Gaara?"
"H-Her name is Mayu," Hinata began; Nartuto's big blue eyes had gotten to her. "And she's apart of me...."
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-**--**- *-
"Mayu, can you please stop crying already?" Sasuke asked; he was a little uncomfortable seeing as how Mayu was now clinging to his waist.
"B-But h-h-he w-w-was s...such a g-g-g-good l-le-lea-der!" Mayu blubbered like a baby, she then looked up at Sasuke through blurry eyes. "W-W-W-Why did h-h-he have to... to... DIE!?"
"How did I get myself into this?" Sasuke thought making a -.- face. "The Hokage died saving the village. He died with honor... that should make you happy at least," he said out loud.
"But... he... was the strongest old man I've ever knew," Mayu said sitting up and wiping away the tears... and snot. Sasuke made a disgusted face at that. "And for that I admire him."
"You seem to admire everyone," Sasuke said. "Everyone except me..." he finished in thought. Mayu laughed a little when she said that.
"I do, don't I?" she said wiping so more tears away. "I'm being silly crying like this... You want the rest of this, Sasuke?" Mayu asked holding out the rest of the chocolate that she didn't eat.
"Uh... no thanks... it has your tears all over it," he replied. "... So you're okay now?"
"Yeah, thanks for trying to cheer me up!" Mayu said.
"Trying...?" Sasuke muttered as Mayu got up from the bed.
"So this... funeral... is today?" she asked.
"Yeah... so as soon as Hinata gets back, you two have to go home and change," Sasuke stated. "No one is here, so you can just leave." Mayu nodded at the information and was about to say something but...!
"HOLY COW! NO WAY!!" a voice yelled.
"Um... it might be because I just woke up, but... I could have sworn I just heard the number one hyperactive, knucklehead ninja yell out 'holly cow!'" Mayu said confused; Sasuke sighed at what Mayu had said.
"No, I heard it too," he said. Suddenly the door busted opened and in ran in... Naruto! "What's wrong with you?" Naruto didn't answer right off the bat, he was too busy panting. Mayu noticed that Hinata was attached to Naruto; she or rather Naruto held her hand. And because of that the timid girl had a huge blush on her face. "Well, what is it?"
"YOU!" Naruto yelled pointing at Mayu. Mayu pointed at herself and said 'me?' "You're the reason Hinata-chan was hurt!"
"Uh... huh?" Mayu replied; she had been thrown for a loop.
"And I know all about you and that Sasuke, Kakashi-sensei, and Gaara knows about you!" Naruto said still pointing.
"Uh... huh?" or possibly two...
"Don't play dumb with me!" Nartuo said. "You're the reason Hinata-chan got hurt!" Mayu shook her head and then glared at Naruto.
"I'm not the reason she was hurt!" she said. "It was that stupid teammate of yours... Sakura! She's the idiot that threw the shuriken even though Sasuke told her not to!" Mayu then glared at Sasuke. "You just can't keep your big beak shut, can you?"
"I didn't say anything!" Sasuke said glaring right back at her. "Like I would tell the idiot something so complex... I'm surprise his brain doesn't hurt from this."
"WHAT WAS THAT, SASUKE!?" Naruto yelled.
“Mayu-san, I was the one who told Naruto-kun,” Hinata said; everyone went silence.
“Why, Hinata…?” Mayu finally asked. Hinata bowed her head, but only Mayu saw the blush Hinata was sporting. “Oh, I see!”
“What? What do ya see?” Naruto asked confused.
“Lil’ Hinata-chan is growing up!” Mayu squealed going over to Hinata and hugging her tightly.
“M-Mayu-san, stop!” Hinata said going even redder. Sasuke did a 'ahem' noise making the two girls plus Naruto look in his direction.
"Don't forget what I said, Mayu," he said. "You have to go... it starts in half an hour." Mayu suddenly looked very sad as she directed Hinata out of the room.
"Come on, Hinata... let's go home," she said.
"What's the matter, Mayu-san?" Hinata asked confused.
"I'll explain on the way," she answered.
"Okay..." and just like that, the two were gone.
"What was that about?" Naruto asked. "Why did she just change her mood like that?"
"She knows about the Hokage," Sasuke answered. "She isn't happy about it."
"Yeah, no one is..." Naruto agreed.
*-*-*-*-*--**-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*--*_*-*;
Hin ata stood by her teamates, Kiba and Shino. Their sensei stood near them also. Kiba looked at Hinata in concern; why...? It was because tears ran down her face. Naruto and even Sasuke looked back at the Hyuga girl every now and then wondering what was wrong; she was the only one crying... well, except Konohamaru. Hinata couldn't tell them if she wanted to, though. It was way too many people around.
Hinata wasn't really the one crying, it was actually Mayu crying inside; her tears were Mayu's tears. "Mayu-san, please stop crying... everyone is looking at me. Even Naruto-kun..." Hinata thought.
Mayu: I-I-I-I-I c-c-can't help it! -sobs louder-
Hinata closed her eyes and her eyebrow twitched. She was starting to hate hearing Mayu cry like this. "And what's worse... I'm the only one who can hear it."
Mayu: I HEARD THAT! Stop turning into me!
"Sorry, Mayu-san," Hinata thought. It was beginning to rain a little.
“Rain…” Kurenai muttered looking up.
“Even the sky is crying,” Asuma said also looking up.
“The funeral for the Third Hokage, who lost his life in the battle…,” one person said. “…As well as the other victims, who gave their lives, will begin now.”
Many nights we prayed with no proof anyone could hear in our hearts a hope for a song we barely understood…
People had started to place white flowers on the stone table. Next were the Genin; Hinata clutched two whit flowers in her hands. “One from me…” she thought standing behind Kiba.
Mayu: And one from me…
Hinata placed the two flowers on the stone table and bowed; in her mind Mayu did the same.
Now we are not afraid Although we know there’s much to fear We were moving mountains Long before we knew we could, whoa, yes
Mayu: I hate snakes… this only fuels my vengeance towards him.
“Who do you mean?” Hinata asked her counter part.
Mayu: Nothing, don’t worry about it.
Hinata watched as Naruto placed his flower on the stone table. The look on his face was so sad that she looked away. No one is used to seeing Naruto like this. This really was the saddest event…
Mayu: Why did your life have to be sacrificed as well? He will pay! -thinking- (a/n: Somehow, Hinata can’t hear this)
“Iruka-sensei…” Hinata heard Naruto say; she didn’t turn, but listened nonetheless. “Why do people risk their lives for others?” Iruka looked up from comforting Konohamaru. He then looked at the picture of the Third Hokage.
“When one person dies… he disappears…” Iruka began. “…Along with his past, current lifestyle, and his future. Many people die in missions and wars. They die easily and in surprisingly simple ways. Hayate was one of them… Those who die have goals and dreams. But everyone has something as important as those.”
There can be miracles When you believe Though hope is frail Its hard to kill Who knows what miracles You can achieve When you believe somehow you will You will when you believe [Mmmmmmmmmyeah] Mmmyeah
“Parents, siblings, friends, lovers…” he continued. “…People who are important to you. They trust and help each other. The bond between the people important to you ever since birth…”
In this time of fear When prayer so often proves in vain Hope seems like the summer bird Too swiftly flown away
“And the string that binds them becomes thicker and stronger as time go by,” Iurka said. “It’s beyond reason. Those bound to you by that string will do that. Because it’s important…”
Yet now I’m standing here My hearts so full, I can't explain Seeking faith and speaking words I never thought Id say
“Yes… I think I understand, a little…” Naruto responded also looking at the picture of the Third. “But… it’s painful when someone dies.”
“The Third didn’t die for nothing,” Kakashi said making Naruto and Hinata turn to him. “He left something important in all of us. You’ll find out what eventually.”
“Yeah, I think I understand that, too, somewhat,” Naruto replied.
Mayu: I don’t care… it still hurts.
There can be miracles When you believe (When you believe) Though hope is frail Its hard to kill (Mmm) Who knows what miracles You can achieve (You can achieve) When you believe somehow you will You will when you believe
“Mayu-san, weren’t you listening?” Hinata asked. “I know you’re hurting, but you have to look on the bright side of things. Looking on the bright side could one day save your life. Please do not go into a deep depression over this,” she wiped the tears from her face.
Things don't always happen when you ask And its easy to give in to your fears But when you're blinded by your pain Can't see the way, get through the rain A small but still, resilient voice Says hope is very near, oh [Oh]
Mayu was quiet for quite some time. You’re right… things always happen for a reason… And there’s always a bright side. Thank you, Hinata.
“You’re welcome,” Hinata whispered.
“Hey, the rain stopped,” Sakura said making Sasuke look up at the sky. Hinata looked up and sure enough the rain had stopped, and the sun was shining brightly over Konoha.
Mayu: I suppose that that’s a good sign.
“I agree…” Hinata said smiling lightly.
There can be miracles (Miracles) When you believe (Boy, when you believe, yeah) [Though hope is frail] Though hope is frail [Its hard] Its hard to kill (Hard to kill, oh, yeah) Who knows what miracles You can achieve (You can achieve, oh)
“Bye, Iruka-sensei!” Naruto said waving; he had a grin on his face.
“Sure,” the chuunin responded.
Mayu: I guess that means it’s time to go, huh?
Hinata nodded in agreement and began to walk away when Naruto’s voice caught her attention. “Wait, Hinata-chan!” he called causing her to stop and turn to face him. Naruto wrapped her arms around her! And of course that action made Hinata blush as red as an apple or a sunburn.
“It’s okay, everything will be okay,” he whispered in her ear. “You don’t have to cry anymore… even though I have only seen you cry once… I don’t like it, Hinata-chan. So please… don’t cry anymore.” Naruto released her and turned; he bit his lip. “See ya!” and with that said, he ran off to his team. Hinata watched him go with her face still red.
“N-Naruto-kun… hugged me again!” she muttered and then fainted… Mayu sighed as she switched places when the Hyuga heir.
“Naruto’s gonna be the death of this girl one day,” she whispered getting up off the ground.
“Yo, Hinata, let’s go!” Mayu heard Kiba call to her. She began walking over to him.
“I’m coming,” she said.
“It seems like the small leaves in Konoha… have inherited that will of fire you spoke of, Third,” Iruka thought watching all the Genin disband. “The fire of the leaves will eventually burn greater and stronger… It will flash its light and protect this village.”
When you believe, somehow you will (Somehow, somehow, somehow) Now you will (I know, I know, know) you will when you believe [When you] (Ohoh) [You will when you] (You will when you believe) [Oohoohooh] [Oh...oh] [When you believe] [When you believe]
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
Mayu walked quietly on top of a building when her head bowed. “I remember this place,” she thought. “This is where Naruto, Sasuke, and I…we all introduced us to Kakashi-san… only I was in Sakura’s body.” The girl looked up at the sky; the sun didn’t blind her though because she wore those sunglasses she practically stole from Shino before the Chuunin Exams resumed. “I wonder what would have happened if I didn’t go back that day on the bridge. I probably would have gone through the Forest of Death and those snakes!” Suddenly, Mayu heard the sound of metal hitting dirt making her look back down.
“Damn it…” a voice made her look over by the edge.
“Sasuke… what’s he doing up here?” Mayu thought. She quietly made her way over to him. She grinned as she crouched down; Mayu was preparing to pounce on the unsuspecting Uchiha. “Ready… set… g…” his voice interrupted her thoughts.
“Don’t you dare, Mayu!” Sasuke said making the girl stop. Mayu grinned sheepishly as Sasuke turned around.
“Heh heh… how’d you know?” she asked rubbing her head nervously.
“Call it instinct,” he replied.
“Man, I’m starting to lose my touch,” Mayu thought. “So what are you doing up here and why are you throwing kunai?”
“Regressed memories,” he muttered lying down with his arms around his head; Mayu sat down beside him.
“Oh… Sasuke..." Mayu began but Sasuke interrupted her.
"So where's Hinata?" he asked. Mayu blinked and then frowned; she did not like being interrupted.
"She's meeting Naruto at that Ramen place he loves so much," Mayu answered. "And after that, they're going to train with each other. I think their relationship is coming along nicely!"
"Whatever..." Sasuke muttered looking at the sky.
"Want to hear some of my regressed memories?" Mayu suddenly asked.
"Not really... but you're just going to tell me anyway, so go ahead," Sasuke sighed.
"You know me well!" Mayu exclaimed causing Sasuke to roll his eyes. "Anyway, they're not really regressed memories... actually I don't think they're my memories at all."
"Well, go on," Sasuke said.
"You remember when I was in Sakura's body, don't you?" Mayu asked.
"We wouldn't be having this conversation if I didn't, moron. Just hurry up and tell me already," Sasuke said annoyed. Mayu was about to retort something, but decided against it. Chances were that he'd have a smart retort, too and then they'll both in up fighting.
"Well, when I returned to my real body I started having these dreams... nightmares, and they're always the same," Mayu said. "And the weird thing was... Itachi was there."
Sasuke sat up abruptly and looked at Mayu with a surprised expression. "How do you know what Itachi looks like?!?" he demanded to know.
"Uh... you... told me," Mayu answered nervously. "Oh boy, it's de javu all over again!" she thought.
"I don't remember telling you that," Sasuke said touching his head.
"Ha ha ha! That's why you're the bird brain of this operation!" Mayu laughed nervously.
"She's hiding something," Sasuke thought narrowing his eyes at her.
"Well, anyway... back to what I was saying!" Mayu said trying to change the subject, luckily Sasuke wanted to hear more about these dreams of hers, so he didn't try to protest. "In this dream I'm looking through the eyes of a child..."
"How do you know that?" Sasuke asked.
"Well, when you look down at yourself and notice that you have a little person’s body... things kinda come together!" Mayu said rolling her eyes. "Now let me continue!"
"Whatever..."
"Thank you... in the dream... I don't here anything, but I know that a woman is holding me...and she's crying," Mayu continued.
"Why...?"
"I still haven't figured that out," Mayu answered. "That's when your brother comes into the room." Ssauke stared intensively at Mayu, waiting for her to go on. "He walks into the room... the woman, she holds up a kunai..."
"Yeah...?"
"Suddenly, I feel myself being snatched away and some sorta liquid was on my face," Mayu said. "I'm pretty sure that it was the woman's blood... that's when I am able to hear things. Itachi says 'Now you're mine... he can't have you... if he's never meets you.' And then I hear the woman's voice 'No, I won't let you!' she says. A blinding light suddenly fills the room and I noticed that blood was all over the walls. I hear a yell... but I... woke up..."
"So you don't know what happened?" Sasuke asked. Mayu shook her head no and sighed.
"Its all so confusing and weird," she said looking up at the sky. "Maybe... it's just my imagination running wild again and it's just an idea for a story..." she trailed off… "Or maybe--"
"You're losing it," Sasuke suggested making Mayu glare at the Uchiha. "You don't really live in Konoha, so it must have been just a dream."
"Yeah, maybe you're right about that," Mayu said looking up at the sky. Suddenly, something caught her eye. "Hey, look!" she pointed up causing Sasuke look. "It's your long lost cousin!" Sasuke face faulted because she was pointing at a bird.
"Why you little--Kakashi...? What does he want?" Sasuke said standing.
"Uh... I'm going to pretend that I know what he's talking about," Mayu thought as she also stood. "Well, let's go find out!"
"Whatever..." Sasuke said allowing the girl to drag him off somewhere, that's when it it him hard. "Wait a minute! You don't even know where to go!"

“Kakashi, it’s unusual for you to be here first,” Sasuke said once he and Mayu reached the copy ninja. Kurenai and Asuma were there, too. They were all standing outside a restaurant… I think.
“I do it from time to time,” Kakashi said not even looking at Sasuke or Mayu. “I see you brought her along.”
“Hn… she followed me,” Sasuke said.
“What…?” Mayu said. “Weren’t you the one that wanted my help because you got lost?”
“Shut up!” Sasuke yelled at the girl. He looked into the restaurant and saw that a table was empty, but tea was still there. “I don’t like natto and sweets,” he said.
“Oh, really…” Kakashi said turning to Asuma and Kurenai.
“You’re so ungrateful, Sasuke!” Mayu muttered, but Sasuke chose to ignore her. They two didn’t see the nod that Kurenai and Asuma gave to Kakashi. Suddenly, the two disappeared.
“Mayu…” Kakashi said causing her to look back to Kakashi. “I wasn’t really expecting you as well.”
“Hey, if it’s free food… I’m so there!” Mayu said clapping. “Are we going to eat or what? I’ll take dumplings!” Sasuke bopped her on the head. “OW! What the heck was that for?”
“Moron…” he said folding his arms.
“These two…” Kakashi thought smiling slightly under his mask.

“Huh…? This is weird,” Naruto said searching his pockets.
“Sorry, but if you don’t have a pass, then you don’t get any ramen,” the owner said.
“W-Wait, I know I had another one!” Naruto said stopping his search, he then resumed. “Ah man, was the one I gave Konohamaru the last one? I could have sworn I had two more left!”
The bell rang causing the owner to look towards the entrance. “Ah, welcome!” he said.
“Um… hi,” a shy voice replied making Naruto stop his search once again.
He turned and saw Hinata standing there with her index fingers together. “I-I hope I d-didn’t keep you waiting l-long, Naruto-kun,” she said.
“No, of course you didn’t!” Naruto said. “I just got here, too!” Hinata sat down on one of the stools and waited for Naruto to do the same, but he was still looking for the passes.
“What’s wrong, Naruto-kun?” she asked.
“I’m just looking for our pass, that’s all,” Naruto said nervously. “Now where did I put’em!?” he thought searching wildly.
Naruto suddenly got fed up and started taking off his clothes in search of the two passes! Hinata’s eyes widen as her face turned red; Naruto had just taken off his pants… right in front of her! “AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!” Hinata screamed just before fainting.
“Uh… what just happened?” Naruto asked himself. The owner turned around because of Hinata’s scream and his eyes widen as well.
“PUT YOUR CLOTHES BACK ON!” he yelled.

R 20;I wonder why we’re here,” Mayu thought following Sasuke down some stairs. “I wasn’t really paying attention when we were eating…” The two were walking into darkness it seemed; luckily Sasuke held fire to light the path. “I didn’t think Sasuke still lived here. It must be the basement of the Uchiha estate… did they even have basements in this time period…?” The stairs ended and now the two were in a small room. On the wall there was Sasuke’s family’s crest. “Sasuke… what are we…?” Mayu began, but Sasuke interrupted her.
“Hold this and follow me,” he said.
-.- “Yes master, I am your humble servant,” Mayu muttered sarcastically while taking the fire from his hands. She followed him to a small table at the end of the room. On the table was what looked like a manuscript? “There's nothing on it,” Mayu sighed. “Why are we here again?”
“I… can read it,” Sasuke said not taking his eyes from the manuscript.
“But there’s nothing there!” Mayu said putting the flame closer. “Not one drop of ink!”
“Believe me, Mayu, something’s there. You can only see it if you have the Sharingan eyes,” Sasuke explained.
“Oh, so it’s a family secret, eh?” Mayu said nonchalantly. Suddenly, Sasuke looked really angry, his hands were clenched at his sides and he was glaring at the paper. “Sasuke, what’s wrong with you?” No replied came from his mouth. “Sasuke, answer me!”
*-*-*-**-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
“Um& #8230; sorry about that Hinata-chan,” Naruto said as the hot bowls were placed in front of the two.
“It’s okay…” Hinata said picking up her chopsticks.
“Jeez, you’re such a troublemaker,” the owner said. “You’re lucky that you have this nice girl as a friend.”
“Well, I… forgot I put our passes behind my forehead protector so I wouldn’t drop it during my morning training,” Naruto said.
“Oh, so you’re training after you eat?” the owner asked.
“Yup, right after breakfast me and Hinata-chan are gonna train,” Naruto answered and then slurped up his noodles.
“Is that so…?” the owner said. “Don’t be too hard on him, Hinata-san.”
“I w-won’t,” Hinata said smiling lightly.
“Hey!”
“Here,” the owner placed some more noodles in the two Genins’ bowls; they both looked up in confusion. “Seconds… Free of charge! Work hard you two!”
“Thank you, old man!” Naruto exclaimed and then proceeded to eat the free ramen; Hinata nodded and began eating her extra food.
“Welcome!” the owner suddenly said causing Hinata to look towards the entrance. There was a man with long white hair, red lines going down his face; he walked right behind Naruto before speaking. Hinata had seen him a couple times before.
“I came here as I was told…” he said making Naruto turn to face him with noodles hanging from his mouth. “I see you do eat a lot of ramen.”
“I wonder what he wants with Naruto-kun…” Hinata thought.
“PERVERTED HERMIT?” Naruto shouted with his mouth full.
Jiraiya blinked and then looked towards Hinata. Hinata felt slightly uncomfortable under his gaze. “Hey! Stop staring at Hinata-chan like she’s a piece of meat!” Naruto yelled after swallowing his ramen.
“Sorry, sorry… I just couldn’t help thinking what’s a pretty girl like this doing with someone like you,” Jiraiya said causing Hinata to blush slightly.
“What do ya want?” Naruto asked annoyed.
“How does going on a research trip with me sound?” Jiraiya asked.
“Research trip…?” Naruto said. Hinata bowed her head, her bangs covered her eyes.
“If Naruto-kun accepts this then… he’ll be gone for a long time…” Hinata thought.
“Do I have to?” Naruto asked.
“Yes, actually you do,” Jiraiya said with a ‘hahaha’.

Mayu sighed for the fifth time that day. “I don’t know why I hang out with this guy,” she thought annoyed. She sat on a tree branch watching Sasuke pant like a hot dog for the 100th time that day. “Maybe I should tell him Naruto is gone…” Mayu thought. “Wonder what his reaction might be.” When Mayu had gone into town to get a snack, she had run into Hinata. The Hyuga girl was practically in tears when she told Mayu that Naruto was leaving. "Poor Hinata..." Mayu thought sighing; she then looked at Sasuke who had just attacked the giant boulder again with his Chidori. "Poor rock...!"
"Damn it! How'd he get so much stronger than me?" Sasuke's voice reached Mayu's ears making her glance at the panting Uchiha for a second; she then looked at the sky.
"Must be talking about Naruto," she thought absent-mindedly. "Maybe I should try to calm him down." She jumped down from the tree branch and walked over to Sasuke. "Hey, Sasuke..." she said tapping his back lightly. Sasuke sharply turned to face her; Mayu nearly jumped at the sight of him. "If I didn't know you had the Sharingan, I could swear that you were a vampire."
"What do you want?" Sasuke asked harshly. "Can't you see I'm training?"
"No, but I can see you beating up that poor boulder!" Mayu glared; she did not like being yelled at. Sasuke looked at the hole-stricken boulder and sighed. “Why are you so worked up about that anyway?”
“Because… I’m not strong enough to protect yo--my friends,” Sasuke answered.
“I didn’t ask to be protected Sasuke,” Mayu said.
“It’s not that…!” Sasuke said turning back around to face her.
“Then what is it? Why are you acting this way?” Mayu asked.
“Don’t you get it?!” Sasuke yelled causing Mayu to stumble back, her back hit the tree hard. Sasuke walked up to her and put his hands on either side of her head. “I couldn’t save you… Naruto saved all of us… while I just sat there and watched. And if I can’t even protect those closest to me then how am I supposed to kill Itachi? How am I supposed to protect my family when the time comes? Answer me, Mayu!”
“Well, first off… you’re only twelve, Sasuke,” Mayu whispered; Sasuke was really scaring her… not that she’d ever admit it. “You’re constantly getting stronger. You grew so much stronger in just one month… I-Imagine how strong you would b-be at fifteen," Mayu said, she hated the fact that her voice cracked when she said this. "I... I'm jealous... I could never get as strong as you no matter how hard I tried. You're lucky you have the ability to accomplish this. I'm just a normal girl," Mayu finished turning her head. "Don't you think I want to protect my friends, too?"
"... Mayu..." Sasuke said causing the girl to look back at him.
She bit her lip; Sasuke had deactivated his Sharingan. This was very strange, this wasn’t the Mayu Sasuke knew. She was like a kitten… small and fragile. Had he unknowingly turned her like this? “… Stop…” he said.
“Stop what…?”
“Stop looking like that,” he said. “Like you’re about to cry.”
“Me cry…? Over something like that…? No freaking way!” Mayu shouted.
“There she is…” Sasuke thought as he let his hands drop. “I’m hungry, let’s go back into town,” he said turning and walking away. Mayu stood there with her mouth hung open.
“No he did not just walk away like that!” Mayu thought glaring at his back. She was just about to whack him upside the head when his next sentence stopped her.
“You… wanna have my children?” he asked.
Mayu instantly started choking on her own spit; she fell to the ground with her hands on her throat, not to mention the small blush on her face. “Was wrong with you?” After she had finally calmed down she stood up.
“Um… you mind… repeating what you just said?” she asked while pointing at the Uchiha weakly. Sasuke looked at her confused and opened his mouth to speak.
“I said… you wanna have some oden?” Sasuke repeated causing Mayu’s mouth to hang open. “Well, do you?”
But Mayu had already run ahead of him causing Sasuke to stare at the girl’s back in even more confusion. “What the heck is wrong with me?” she thought. “First marriage, now children… what’s next Itachi saying he wants to be apart of the family?”
“Mayu, slow down!” Sasuke calmed to her. Mayu had abruptly stopped when she realized that she hadn’t answered Sasuke’s question. She laughed off her nervousness and looked back at Sasuke; Sasuke coughed because of her stare, she wasn’t saying anything either. “Well…?”
“Uh… yeah I want your children,” Mayu said smiling lightly causing Sasuke to look at the girl in a stunned silence. “I want them in the winter time, though.” Sasuke’s face suddenly turned a light pink as he continued to stare at Mayu.
“Wh…wh…?” was the only thing he manage to get out, his mouth had gone dry.
“Yeah…? Spit it out, Sasuke!” Mayu grew annoyed.
“Wha… What did you just say?” Sasuke finally asked.
“I said… yeah, I want some oden,” Mayu answered shrugging. “I usually have it in the winter, though.”
“A-Are you sure you said that… a-and not something else?” Sasuke questioned. Mayu nodded slowly and backed up a little. Sasuke was acting a little strange today and it was giving her the willies!
“What else would I say?” she asked. Sasuke coughed and began to walk forward.
“Nevermind… let’s go,” he said rushing past her. “What the hell is wrong with me? Why do I keep misunderstanding her?” Sasuke thought. “First it was marriage, now children… what’s next? Itachi saying his wants to rejoin the family?” Sasuke shuddered at the thought and now had a glare on his face.
“Hey, Sasuke!” Mayu waved a hand in front of his face.
“What?” he said as he continues to walk.
“... Tripped ya!” she shouted tripping Sasuke making him fall flat on his face! Sasuke wasn’t too happy about that.
“I’m gonna kill you!” he yelled hopping up, but Mayu had already started running away laughing.
*****************************

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
R 20;I wonder why we’re here,” Mayu thought following Sasuke down some stairs.
*-*-**-*--*-*-*-*-*--**-*-*-*--*-*-*-*-*--**--**- -*-*-*-
Mayu sighed for the fifth time that day.
“That’s what you get for not paying attention!” she laughed running faster; Sasuke was running after her now. Mayu looked behind her and saw that Sasuke was closer in on her.
“Better pick up my speed!” she thought and then went slightly faster.
“She’s going faster!” Sasuke thought also going faster, suddenly he started looking at the surrounding area. The two were running near a running river. “This place seems familiar… where have I seen it before?” And then it hit him like a brick wall… ouch! “A waterfall…!” he whispered and then looked at Mayu who was still running. “Mayu stop!” he called to the girl.
“Oh no! I’m not going to let you hit me! You’re just mad cuz’ you can’t catch up!” Mayu taunted making Sasuke frown.
“No, it’s a giant waterfall! You’re going to fall if you keep going!” Sasuke called.
“Waterfall?!” Mayu said softly, her eyes suddenly widen. She then put on her brakes causing a ton of dust to appear. When the dirt cleared, Mayu saw that she was at the edge of the cliff. “That was a close one, eh Sasuke?” she asked looking away from the high cliff. Mayu looked behind her and noticed that Sasuke was also trying to stop, but was having trouble. “I guess he was going too fast,” Mayu thought. “Wait a minute…! He’s not stopping!”
KAPOW!
Sasuke had collided into Mayu knocking them both over the edge of the cliff and now the two were falling! “Sasuke, you idiot, how come you didn’t stop!?” Mayu yelled flapping her arms as if she were trying to fly.
“You should have stopped when I told you!” Sasuke grumbled with his arms and legs crossed.
“Oh, sugahoneyicetea…!” Mayu yelled.
“What?” Sasuke said right before they hit the water. A few seconds later Sasuke popped out of the water gasping for air. He saw over to land and got out, he coughed and rung the water out of his hair.
“You okay, Mayu?” he said as he started to wring his shirt. There was no answer; Sasuke looked around. “Mayu…?” Still no answer and he didn’t see her anywhere. “Oh-no!” He jumped back into the lake, he saw Mayu at the bottom. Sasuke quickly swam to her and noticed she wasn't moving. "Damn it!" he thought grabbing her; he swam up and lifted Mayu's body out of the water first and crawled next to her.
Sasuke slapped her cheek lightly. "Mayu... Mayu, wake up!" he said. The girl didn't move an inch. "Crap, I'm going to have to give her CPR..." Sasuke thought. "CPR?!" he said out loud. "But that means I have to..." he looked at her lips and gulped. He started to push her chest area. "I can at least get the water out of her lungs..." he thought with a slightly pink face.
Mayu still didn’t move an inch. “Her face is turning blue!” he said, he stared at her lips again and then started pushing her chest again. “No way am I going to do that!” he thought. What he didn’t see was that Mayu’s finger moved ever so lightly and her color returned to her face. Sasuke stopped and looked in every direction. “I have to…” he thought slowly easing in towards her. Suddenly, Mayu coughed causing Sasuke to stop abruptly.
She spit out the water… right in Sasuke’s face! Mayu turned over and started coughing to clear her throat of the rest of the water. Sasuke wiped the water from his face and hit Mayu on the back. “Its m-my throat y-y-you d-dumba-ass!” she choked out.
“Well, sorry for trying to save your life!” Sasuke retorted. Mayu stopped coughing and looked at Sasuke with a smile on her face. “What’s with the look?”
“You saved my life… Sasuke,” she said. “Thank you…”
“Don’t mention it,” Sasuke mumbled. Mayu stood up and began to wring the water out of her hair. It didn’t seem like she was going anywhere fast, though. “Can’t even do that right?” Sasuke said with a sigh. He walked behind Mayu and put a hand on her shoulder. “Sit, let me do it,” he said.
“I have it under control, bird brain!” Mayu said.
“No you don’t!” Sasuke said forcing her on her knees. “We’ll be here all day waiting for you!” Mayu grumbled something that was incoherent, but Sasuke chose to ignore it. He removed the wet hair tie and began to wring the water out of Mayu’s hair.
“Heh… hehe….”
“What is your problem?” Sasuke asked.
“I was… just remembering… my mom used to do this when I was little,” Mayu answered. Sasuke stopped moving completely after she had said that. “What’s wrong, Sasuke?”
“… Nothing…” he said. “I’m finished, let’s go.” Mayu stood up after picking up her hair tie.
“But… my hair’s still wet!” she thought glaring at Sasuke’s back. “Hey, we’re still wet!” Mayu said out loud causing Sasuke to stop and look back at her.
“We should be dry by the time we reach town,” he said. “And before we have lunch, we have to see Kakashi again.”
“Fine…” Mayu said catching up to Sasuke while trying to wring the rest of her hair. She finally gave that up and shook her head causing water to fly everywhere… including on Sasuke.
“Stop that, you’re not a dog!” Mayu stopped and groaned something. “What’s wrong now?”
“Those sunglasses came off! They must have slipped off when I hit the water!” Mayu answered. She looked at Sasuke and blinked; Sasuke blinked back at her. “You wouldn’t mind looking for ‘em, would ya?”
Sasuke: -.-;
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
“K akashi…” Sasuke said opening the door.
“You don’t have to be rude, Sasuke!” Mayu said following him into the room. “You could have at least…” she stopped talking when she saw Kakashi lying on a bed. Mayu looked around the small room and saw that Gai, Kurenai, and Asuma were there.
“Why’s Kakashi asleep?” Sasuke asked. “And why are Jounins gathered here?” No one answered his questions. “What happened…?” Sasuke looked at Gai for answers.
“Nothing much happened,” he answered.
“That’s a lie…” Mayu thought. Suddenly, this guy comes into the room yelling.
“Is it true that the Itachi came back?” he asked.
“Oh snap!” Mayu thought. “Here comes the anger!” Gai glared at the newcomer and so did Mayu.
“And he’s after Naruto?” he asked. Gai smacked his forehead and groaned. Sasuke looked back at the Jounin and his face hardened into a glare.
“Idiot…” Mayu and Kurenai muttered in unison. Suddenly, Sasuke ran passed the Jounin and out of the door.
“Damn it, Sasuke!” Mayu said and was about to run after him, but Kurenai stopped her.
“Girl, who are you?” she asked.
“Um… the name’s not really important right now… see ya!” Mayu relied nervously and then she ran out.
“Why did things have to turn out like this?” Gai asked himself.

Mayu’s POV

I was running right behind Sasuke and by running I mean hopping on buildings and dodging bystanders. “Man, I really need to get back into shape!” I thought still chasing Sasuke. I looked at Sasuke back and wondered what he could be thinking. “He must be looking for Naruto! Stupid, if he would just stop for a minute, I could tell him that Naruto already left the village!” I called out to him a couple of times, but he never stopped. “What a jerk!” I muttered. I followed him to Naruto’s door and he opened it without knocking… rude!
Guess who comes stumbling out of the room? Haruno Sakura does, that’s who. “Sasuke-kun…” she began to exclaim. Oh my poor ears! Luckily Sasuke stopped her.
“Where’s Naruto?” he questioned.
“I… uh… just got here,” she answered.
“I know…” I began to say but Sasuke ran off before I could tell him. I sighed and then looked to see Sakura looking at Sasuke departing form. “Oh crap!” I thought doing a couple of hand signs. “Transform...!” I whispered. Sakura looked at me and then she glared!
“Who are you? Why are you following Sasuke-kun?” she asked… with attitude.
She didn’t recognize me because I had transformed into another girl completely. “I’m… uh… Sasuke’s… girlfriend!” I said nervously. After I saw that I could have sworn I saw Sakura’s heart break; I smiled evilly. “Hehe… this is what she gets for throwing shuriken at me! My back still hurts!” I patted her shoulder and walked past her. “Now if you’ll excuse me… I have to catch up with him… he owns me another kiss.” And then I just took off not even wanting to see her reaction. “Hehehe… I am so evil! Maybe I could join Akatsuki!” I thought grinning.

I found Sasuke talking to the old man who runs the ramen stand. “Jiraiya-san came here around noon, they had some ramen together, then they said they were going somewhere,” I heard the old man say.
“Sasuke, would you hold on for a minute?!” I said panting slightly. He looked at me, blinked, and then opened his mouth.
“Do I know you?” he asked. Why I outta slug him!
“Oh wait, I look like someone else,” I thought as I change back.
“Oh, it’s just you,” Sasuke said. I chose to ignore that remark.
“Listen to me, Naruto left the village to go on some trip with Jiraiya!” I said. “I could’ve told you that, but noooooo! You just have to run away!” I yelled at him.
“Ah yes, she’s right! They went to a lodging town not far from here,” the old man said.
“Okay, but who’s Jiraiya?” Sasuke asked.
“Jiraiya, one of the Sannin, the three genius ninjas!” the old man answered. Yeah, that sounds about right. “He just looks like a big, white-haired man, though.”
Yup, that was true, too... although; he had left out ‘pervert’ in his explanation. “Big and white-haired…” Sasuke muttered. “Come on, Mayu!” he instructed and then ran.
“I guess I’m supposed to follow him like some sorta love-sick puppy,” I muttered and then sighed. “Coming, coming…” I said. I’m so hopeless!

We both stopped, we were out of breath as we stared up at a building. We had just finished checking every other building. “I don’t see what all the hoopla is about!” I thought still panting. Sasuke went in making me follow him. “How do I get myself into these things?”
“… and a big, white-haired man staying here?” Sasuke asked the innkeeper.
“White-haired…?” the lady said.
“Is he here?!” Sasuke asked… again.
“I may have seen one when I changed shifts,” the woman said.
“Man, I wish she would hurry!” I thought glancing at Sasuke’s face. “He’s getting angry!”
“Oh, a blond kid and a white-haired man,” the woman exclaimed.
“Are they here? What room?” Sasuke asked.
“Let’s see…,” the woman looked in a book. “Second floor, end of the hall, room 1.” Sasuke dipped before I could even mutter a thank you to the woman!
I quickly followed him up the stairs and towards the end of the hall. This time he actually knocked… unbelievable! When the door finally opened Sasuke looked as if he was going to die on the spot. “What’s wrong…?” I asked walking up to Sasuke. I looked into the room to see… a blond kid and a white-haired man… but they weren’t Naruto and Jiraiya. “How disappointing is that?” I asked.
“Damn it!” Sasuke cursed.

Sasuke: -.-;
