Sasuke stared intensively at the girl in front of him. There was not a splash of emotion on her face. "I have to knock her out... that's the only way," he thought frowning. "Itachi will pay for what he's done!"

"Itachi-san, are you sure this girl can handle him?" Kisame asked. "I mean, your brother is an Uchiha." Itachi didn't say a word nor did he move.

"Mayu... I'll only say this once... move and stay out of this," Sasuke said. "You will only get hurt." Mayu didn't respond and suddenly, she started running at Sasuke. "Then that's how it will be," Sasuke muttered as Mayu got closer. When she was close enough, Sasuke knocked her into the wall hard. Mayu yelled out on impact, spit shot out, the wind had been knocked out of her. "I'm sorry..." Sasuke whispered as Mayu slid down to the floor, seemingly unconscious.

"Mayu!" Naruto yelled. "SASUKE! You didn't have to do that!"

"Shut up, Naruto!" Sasuke said and then turn his attention back to Itachi; the oldest of the Uchihas only stared at his younger brother. "Now, that there's no distraction, I'll--" he was interrupted by someone laughing, not playful laugh... it was more of a taunt; he turned and saw that it was Mayu!

"Mayu...?" Naruto muttered. "How can she...?"

"Did you really think that I would just play dead?" Mayu asked. "What a fool you are..."

"What...? That should have knocked her out completely!" Sasuke thought watching the girl stand. "Now that I think about... she should have went back to Hinata!"

"Mayu, you're okay!" Naruto shouted making Jiraiya hit him in the head.

"Be quiet, that girl is still under Itachi's genjutsu," he said. "But it makes no sense... that Uchiha kid is strong. The force of that impact should have knocked her unconscious or at least snapped her out of the jutsu..." Jiraiya thought. Sasuke stepped back from Mayu, he didn't like the look in the girl's eyes.

"It's... not natural for her to look like this," he thought. No emotion was on the girl's face. "Itachi will pay!"

Sasuke turned to his older brother with a glare on his face. "Release her!" he ordered making a few hand signs. Chakra formed in his hands, the Chidori was starting to gather. Sasuke started running at his brother fulling intending to go right through him, but Mayu suddenly appeared in front of Itachi making Sasuke stop just a few feet away. Mayu did a roundhouse kick to Sasuke's face sending him AIRBORNE! Sasuke was sent across the hallway and finally stopped when his back hit the back wall.

"Wow... so the girl does have power," Kisame said as Sasuke slid down the wall groaning.

"Don't forget, Uchiha Sasuke, I'm your opponent!" Mayu called to him. Sasuke sat up with a cough.

"What is this...?" Sasuke thought. "She shouldn't have sent me flying like that."

"Get up..." Mayu said slowly walking to him. "Come on... I thought you were a ninja."

Sasuke stood up slowly and frowned holding his cheek. He spit out a little blood on the floor. He felt the inside of his mouth... good. Nothing was broken... yet. If this continue, anything and everything could be broken. "It must be done..." Sasuke thought staring at the girl slowly walking towards him. "I have to send her to Hinata..." he took out a kunai and held it up. "Or send her from here... permanently."

Sasuke ran towards Mayu with the kunai out ready to slash at her. Mayu anticipated this and also ran at Sasuke fully intending to knock the kunai from his hand. Mayu attack almost hit Sasuke, but Sasuke disappeared making Mayu stop running; a log had appeared where Sasuke was before.

"Substitution jutsu...!" Naruto muttered. Sasuke appeared behind Mayu with his hand up, his intention was to hit Mayu at the right place to knock her unconscious.

"You really think I was going to let you attack me again!?" Sasuke said bringing his hand to Mayu neck, but his attack hit nothing because Mayu had moved forward and did a handstand. She brought one of her hands up and gentle touched Sasuke leg; Sasuke hardly noticed this movement... either that or he didn't acknowledge it, and then Mayu flipped away from him.

Mayu landed on her feet, her blank expression never changing. "Damn... I forgot she's just as strong as any genin," Sasuke thought. "And it doesn't help that I used most of my energy earlier."

"Fine... I'll get serious then," Mayu said.

"So will I!" Sasuke said running out Mayu, he decided to drop his kunai and use his hands. Sasuke began rapidly trying to punch Mayu, but she dodged and held off all of his punches, though, Sasuke was managing to push her back while attacking. "That jutsu he used on her... it must be making her this way. There's no way Mayu can be this strong," Sasuke thought stopping his punches, he panted lightly.

"Oh... so soon," Mayu said putting her hands down. "Then I guess it's my turn." Suddenly, Mayu disappeared from Sasuke's sight.

"Damn it...!" he thought turning around only to come face to face with Mayu's... face. Sasuke's eyes at how close Mayu was, their noses were centimeters apart causing Sasuke to gain a light pink tint on his face. What happened next was so fast that Sasuke couldn't fully register it. Mayu had had just delivered a gut punch to Sasuke's body!

Blood came from Sasuke's mouth, it slid down his chin. Mayu wasn't done yet, she upper-cuted Sasuke and then continued with a barrage of punches. When she was finally done, Sasuke dropped down to the floor in a crumbled heap, not literally, but you get it! "Mayu, stop it!" Naruto shouted at the girl, but she ignored him and bent down. Mayu picked up Sasuke by the throat and she didn't even look like she was struggling!

"What did he do to that girl?" Jiraiya thought watching as Sasuke was being hung in the air by this one girl. "She shouldn't be able to do this."

Sasuke grabbed the arm that was holding him up, even with one eye closed, he still managed to glare at Mayu. "W-Who are you...?" he rasped out. Mayu would never do anything like this. Mayu had changed completely... she wasn't the same person that he knew.

"How quickly you forget, little brother..." Itachi made himself known. "She's under my control."

"B-Bastard...!" Sasuke croaked.

"Hey, Mayu, put Sasuke down!" Naruto shouted. To his utter surprise... she did. Sasuke dropped to the floor, too weak to move quickly, as Mayu turned to face Naruto, still no emotion on her face. That kinda scared Naruto... that emotionless face was just wasn't normal.

"Uzumaki Naruto..." Mayu said in an abnormally calm voice staring at the blond. "Do you... wish to take his place?"

"Uh... that's a good question..." Naruto said. "I'd probably end up like Sasuke," he thought. "I'll hold back just like Sasuke and get pummeled just like him, too!"

Mayu took a step towards Naruto, Jiraiya, and Kisame. "I wonder if... the outcome of your fight... will be the same as your friend," Mayu said taking another step towards the threesome. "Could I--" suddenly was sent flying towards the three. She went past Kisame and straight into Naruto! Naruto and Mayu both fell with a grunt of pain; Mayu head had collided with Naruto's hard head. She stood up with a hand on her head; Naruto was still on the ground with swirly eyes. Mayu look at the person who had hit her.

It was Sasuke, he was standing up panting a lot. "Idiot...! Didn't anyone tell you not to turn your back on your opponent?" he panted. "Even in your current state... you're still an idiot!" Mayu's right eye twitched, but other than that, her cold mask remained. She picked up Naruto with both hands and raised him above her head. Naruto had snapped out of his stupor by now, but Jiraiya still had his mouth hanging opening.

"Hey, what are you doing? Put me down!" Naruto shouted; his voice was not heard. "Hey, just don't stand there gawking, perverted hermit! Help me!" again his voice went un-heard.

"Is she planning on throwing him?" Sasuke thought. "She really is an idiot!" Mayu actually threw Naruto straight at Sasuke! "I'll just dodge him..."

"Why am I always treated like a object?" Naruto yelled as he soared through the air.

"What the...?" Sasuke thought looking down at his leg. "I can't move!" It suddenly dawned on Sasuke. "That movement she did...? The Byakugan!"

"Naruto, get out of the way!" Sasuke shouted.

"And how the heck do I do th--" Naruto began but... CRASH! The two were sent into the wall at the end of the hall. (I am so poetic)

POOT

Three pairs of eyes blinked... almost in confusion. Just what was that noise? "D-Don't tell me Naruto just--" Jiraiya muttered.

"NARUTO, YOU FREAK!" Sasuke hollered confirming Jiraiya's thoughts.

"Heh... sorry about that," Naruto said getting up and rubbing the back of his head. "It just... slipped..." Sasuke glared at his teammate until he heard something that made his heart stop for a second.

"HAHAHAAA! -deep breath- AHAHAHAHA!" Mayu laughed out while slapping her knee. "That has got to be the funniest thing I have ever saw!"

"Damn..." Itachi thought.

"M-Mayu!" Naruto exclaimed running over to the girl ignoring Kisame. "Are you insane? Why did you throw me?"

Mayu looked confused and then smiled. "I have no idea what you're talking about!" she said. "Quit teasing! I couldn't throw you if I wanted to. I may be strong, but I'm more of a brain person. Oh, hi Jiraiya-san!" Mayu waved to the older man, Jiraiya waved back, his eye was twitching.

"What the heck is with this little girl?" he thought.

"She doesn't remember what she just did," Sasuke thought stepping forward a little.

"So what happened, Naruto?" Mayu asked turning back to the blond. "The last thing I remember is falling asleep."

"You mean you don't remember anything...?" Naruto asked.

"Uh... look at the blank face," Mayu said pointing to herself. "Confusion is clearly there, so answer the question."

"Mayu, stay w-where you are," Sasuke said getting the girl's attention.

"Huh... Sasuke...?" Mayu said. "Now I'm even more confused. Why does Sasuke look like someone plucked his feathers?" she asked pointing at Sasuke but looking at Naruto.

"Just stay over there!" Sasuke shouted annoyed. "I'll take care of Itachi."

"What...?" Mayu began but Sasuke had started running at Itachi with his Sharingan activated! "No... don't..." Mayu thought watching Sasuke charge at his older brother. "I can't let..." Before Mayu realized what was happening, she was standing over Sasuke's body. "Huh...?"

"Mayu...!?" Sasuke said looking up at the girl. "Why did you...? Why are you protecting him?"

Mayu had knocked Sasuke to the floor before he reached his brother. "I am not protecting him!" Mayu shouted as Sasuke stood up. "I'm protecting you, you idiot! He'll kill you! Just shut up and... quit being so stubborn!"

"No, this is my battle!" Sasuke said shoving Mayu out the way right into a wall. A little too hard because the girl laid unconscious. "I didn't mean to do that..." he thought staring at Mayu's body. Itachi looked from his brother to Mayu, and then back to Sasuke.

"Very well..." he said making Sasuke look at his older brother. Jiraiya heard this and stepped forward, but Kisame stopped him with his giant weapon.

"You heard him," he had said. "This is a battle between those two. Let's not interfere." Suddenly, Itachi back handed Sasuke sending him back to the end of the hall.

"Sasuke..." Naruto said barely above a whisper.

"... I'm not done yet..." Sasuke said shaking, blood ran over the old blood he had spill earlier. Bruises were on his wrist where Itachi had broken something.

"He's not able to perform hand signs," Itachi thought.

"Like I said..." Sasuke panted in between words. "This is... my battle."

Mayu's POV

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" someone screamed. I wish they would shut up! I opened my eyes slightly to see that I was on the floor. Oh yeah... Sasuke knocked me out. That bum... and I was trying to help him out! "AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" another scream by the same person.

"It sounds like... Sasuke," I thought but I couldn't move.

The best thing for me to do right now was pretend I'm still out of commission. I closed my eyes again, I remember I used to pretend I was asleep when my father wanted me to do choirs. So something like this wasn't a big deal for me. "Being cruel, as usual," I could tell from the voice that it was that shark dude. Yeah, I still haven't figured out his name. "He used Tsukuyomi on his little brother." Damn... I told Sasuke to back down and now he's suffering... again.

His screams filled the entire hallway. I'm surprised no one has came out of their rooms or from downstairs. Sasuke's screams suddenly stopped leaving me to believe Sasuke was unconscious. "Cut it out already, you bastard!" I heard Naruto yell. I heard footsteps meaning Naruto was running towards the Uchiha brothers... someone was following him. Probably that shark dude... suddenly the footsteps stopped. What the heck was going on? "W-What is this...?"

I felt as if I was sitting on something sticky and slimy. Oh god... don't tell me this is the episode that-- "Frog Mouth Trap..." I heard Jiraiya say confirming my fears.

"I AM IN A FROG'S MOUTH!" I shouted in my mind resisting the urge to scream out. "I'll kill 'em!"

"You're out of luck, Itachi, Kisame..." Jiraiya continued. Oh, so that's the shark dude's name! "You're inside my stomach, now."

I shuddered hoping no one would notice. "You don't have to remind me!" I thought in horror as I felt something wrap around my exposed leg. Damn these capris!

"I summoned the esophagus of a gigantic frog from the Myouboku Mountain's rock inn," Jiraiya explained, I'm guessing that he thought Itachi wanted to know.

"Just don't open your eyes... just don't open your eyes!" I chanted in my head.

"You two are wanted criminals anyway," Jiraiya continued. "I'll turn you two into food for this rock frog."

"W-What is this?" Naruto said again.

"Naruto! You stay still," Jiraiya ordered. Great, that means that if I stay still two... I won't be eaten. "Don't worry, this is my technique."

"Kisame, come..." I heard Itachi speak. "... and bring the girl." The girl... what girl? Oh crap...! He's talking about me! I'm 'the girl'; save me!

Suddenly, I feel as if I'm being lifted up and I was threw over Kisame's shoulder. Oh gawd! He smells of fish! "It's useless!" I heard Jiraiya call out as Kisame began running. "No one has ever escaped from this before."

"But what about Mayu?" I heard Naruto's voice fade. That's means I'm moving away from them! Which means I'm screwed! Or in this case... frog food!

"The wall of meat is closing in on us," Kisame said. "And this girl's weight isn't making me run any faster." I resisted the urge to slap fish dude upside the head. I had to pretend I was still unconscious, so I hung like a rag doll over Kisame's shoulder. "The wall is faster than us. At this rate..." At this rate...? Oh mi gawd bra! I am going to be eaten alive!

Suddenly a loud explosion almost made me open my eyes all the way. Instead they opened a little and I could see that there was a giant hole in the building we came from, black fire was there, too. Black fire... that can't be! Wait a minute... I'm flying through the air! I quickly closed my eyes after that. "Why must we retreat?" I heard Kisame ask; I felt the wind on my face and liquid touch my face, too. "And why must we bring this girl?"

"There is no need to hurry with Naruto-kun at his current level," Itachi answered.

"Naruto-kun...?" I thought confused. Itachi was sure being weird!

"Also, I must rest myself somewhere for a while," Itachi continued. "I had to use Tsukuyomi, and was even forced to use Amaterasu." So he created that black fire...? "As for the girl..."

"Yeah... yeah...?" I thought. I wanted to know why I was so damn important!

"She is only a source of information," Itachi said. Is that all...? Could have wrote a letter instead!

"Can I kill her...?" Kisame asked, which got me a little scared for my life. Like I said before... SOMEBODY SAAAAAAAVE ME!

"Maybe..." Itachi said; I had to resist the urge to gasp loudly. "Once I get my questions answered." Okay, this is... bad. How am I supposed to get away from these... killers? Wait a minute... that's it!

"I'm able to go inside Hinata's body!" I thought grinning inwardly. "So when the going gets tough, I will literally get going! I am so smart for coming up with that!"

I felt my back being slammed into something! Damn that stupid shark dude! "He could be a little more gentle!" I thought pretending to fall to the ground still unconscious.

"Kisame, tie her up," I heard Itachi order his partner. "I don't feel like running after her if she decides to run."

"Teh... who needs to run?" I thought grinning inwardly. Suddenly I feel like I'm being shoved into whatever I hit before. It had to be a tree because we were still outside and the rough bark bit into my skin. "This is what I get for wearing a friggin' sleeveless shirt!"

"This girl sure is weak," Kisame muttered while tying me to the tree with rope. God, he didn't have to tie so tight! "She's been out for two hours already."

"Shows what he knows..." I almost muttered out loud.

"Kisame..." Itachi said.

"What?" I guess he was finished tying me up. It's SO TIGHT! I can barely breath.

"You may leave..."

I'm guessing Kisame left because he didn't put up a fight and I didn't feel his... what do they call it? Energy or Chakra? Oh, who cares? The point is I couldn't feel him anymore! After a few minutes, I heard Itachi sigh. "I'm impressed, Mayu-chan," he said making me tense up. "Most children would have been screaming in pain by now."

Don't tell me he knows that I'm just faking! "That can't be!" I thought. "Kisame didn't even know!"

"I know you're conscious," Itachi said... crap. "You've been awake ever since we left the inn." I opened my eyes giving up on trying to pretend and looked around for Itachi, he was sitting with his back against the tree that was across from me. His Sharingan was deactivated, so I knew he wasn't going to use the same thing he used on Sasuke, but then again... Itachi did say he had to rest.

"Heh..." I laughed nervously. "How did you figure it out? Not even my father could tell the difference."

"Your father..." Itachi repeated making me blink. I heard him sigh before answering. "I first noticed that you were conscious when Kisame called you... heavy." I could feel my blood boil when he said that! Didn't shark dude know no girl liked being called heavy? "Yes, that is what you did and because of that your energy flared up. Your anger towards Kisame... was my clue."

I huffed out, angry that he could sense things like that. "So what do you want me for?" I asked narrowing my eyes at Itachi.

"Like you heard me say before... I want answers," Itachi said. I huffed out again at his answered.

"I don't have to answer any--" I began but a shuriken whizzed past my ear and lodged into the tree trunk. I didn't even see his hand move! "You didn't let me finish! ... I don't have to answer anything... but for you... I w-will."

I can't believe I forgot about Itachi being a mass murderer! He wouldn't think twice about killing me... "I am in deep crap, now..." I thought. "So what is it you want to know, Ita-san?" I asked, my voice was barely above a whisper.

"Ishikari Mayu..." Itachi said, again with the dramatic pauses. "Is that you're real name?" I sighed out and then rolled my eyes.

"Look here, weasel man!" I said taking a liking to calling him that. "I am an Ishikari and my name is Mayu, okay? Do want me to prove to you I'm an Ishikari? I got proof!"

"Show me," Itachi said making me sigh again.

"Kinda hard to do when you're tied up," I stated.

"I can't do that," Itachi said. "You understand?"

"Yeah, sure I do..." I muttered sarcastically. "What else do you want to know?"

"Do you know who I am?" he asked.

"Weasel man...?" another whiz... another shuriken. Yeah, I don't think he's amused... "Uchiha Itachi," I answered sighing. This guy does not have a sense of humor.

"That's not what I mean," Itachi said. "Do you... know me?"

"Yes..." I answered. "I know all about you."

"Really..." Itachi said standing. I bowed my head and looked at the ground, a small ladybug crawled on my leg.

"You're a killer... I hate people like you," I said.

"Do you hate every ninja then?" Itachi asked. "People who are trained to kill... you hate them all?"

"No... just people like you!" I practically hissed at him looking up. "Why would you say that to your brother?" Itachi was silent and he looked away. "Don't think I don't know! '... live in shame, run away, and live...' Why would you tell him that?"

"Mayu-chan..."

"Why... why would you tell him that?" I asked, my eyes started stinging for some reason. "He trusted you! You're... you're just like Yashamaru! I hate you, I hate him! Why would you do that to confused children? I hate you both!" Before I knew what was happening, hot liquid slid from my eyes. Damn it! Why do I always cry like this. Sometimes I wish I could hide my emotions like Sesshomaru!
"Mayu-chan... you don't understand," Itachi said.
"I understand perfectly! And quit calling me that!" I yelled. "I don't know you!"
"Mayu-chan... calm yourself!" Itachi said, his voice was slowly rising. But I didn't care, I was angry, now!
"NO! I HATE YOU!" I yelled out closing my eyes. "I hate you, I hate you, I hate you!" Suddenly, I feel something touch my cheek. It felt as if... two fingers were touching my cheek. I opened my eyes slowly... it wasn't two fingers touching my cheek... it was Itachi's lips.
He pulled back and just stared at me, and I just stared back at him in total shock. "It was my anger..." Itachi finally whispered slowly; he stood up straight. "I know you're sensitive, Mayu-chan, and things such as that makes you, a proud tiger turn into a fragile kitten." He turned his back to me and then continued. "You were my oasis, my refuge for the life I was being forced into..."
"What... the hell?" was the only thing I could manage to get out. I heard Itachi sigh and then he turned to me.
"You... really don't remember anything," he said. "Your mother was a fool." I snapped out of my stupor when Itachi said that.
"Are you talking about my mom?" I asked angrily. "How dare you? Ishikari Sheena is a great woman! I look up to my mother!"
"Ishikari Sheena...?" Itachi repeated my mother's name. "That is not your true mother's name. Your mother was indeed a great women, and her name was... Ishikari Mayuka."
My eyes widen at the name. "Why does that name sound so familiar?" I thought.

FLASHBACK

"Don't be fool, Ishikari-san..." Itachi said coming closer to me. Someone was in front of me. A woman held me back; I could tell she was glaring at Itachi who looked a little younger. "Just give her to me."
"Itachi... why did you kill them?" the woman asked, her voice cracked when she said that; this woman was crying. "Why did you kill Haruka?"
"He was in my way... I only want Mayu," Itachi said making my eyes go wide. "Give her to me or I shall end your life, as well."
"You bastard...! I knew I couldn't trust the Uchiha clan!" the woman held up a kunai. "You killed them all!"
"Momma...!" I said yanking on her kimono. "Why is Itachi-san acting like this. Does he not want to be my friend?"
"He is not your friend, Mayu..." the woman said. "He and his clan tricked us all and now your father is dead."
"But... Ita-san wouldn't...!" I said trying to come from behind the woman. "He wouldn't..."
"Remember what I say, Mayu, my daughter..." the woman said. "This boy is evil... If I don't make it... you will. When you come back, avoid him at all cost."
"What... but momma, I--" I began but Itachi interrupted.
"Don't you dare," he said and with quick movement, Itachi slashed my mother with a kunai and grabbed a hold of me. She screamed in pain as she fell to the ground.
"MOTHER!" I screamed at the sight. Itachi covered my eyes with his hand. "L-Let me go!"
"I'm sorry, Mayu-chan..." he said. "It had to be done."
"No!" I screamed struggling to escape. "Why have you done this, Itachi-san? I don't understand!"
"I will explain when we're far away from here," he answered in a whisper.
(1) "¡Yo no le permitiré!" a voice made me look back to the woman; she was standing... blood ran down her head and arm, lots of blood.
"¡Madre!" I exclaimed.
"Ishikari-san..." Itachi muttered.
(2)"¡Usted no la puede tener!" she continued. "¡Yo me moriré antes permití que sucediera!"
(3)"No sea insensato, Ishikari-san," Itachi said.
"Foolish...?" Mayuka said in this language; she did a lot of quick hand movements. "It's not foolish to protect my daughter from you!" Suddenly there was a bright, and after that... all went black.

My eyes shot open; I panted heavily. "What the heck was that?" I thought trying to get my breath under control. "Just like that dream..."
"Mayu-chan...?" Itachi said making me look up at him. "It's been four years since that day, and now you're back."
"I... I don't know what the hell it is your talking about!" I yelled out once my breathing had become steady again. "But whatever it is, it's creepy me out! I'm out!"
"And how do you suppose you do that?" Itachi inquired.
"Like this...!" and poof... I was gone.

Hinata shot up from the grass, she breathed heavily with her eyes wide. "Hey, Hinata... you okay?" her teammate Shino asked. Once her breathing returned to normal, she put a hand over her chest.
"I-I'm fine..." Hinata answered standing up. "What was that...?"
Mayu: If I did that, I'm sorry Hinata.
"Mayu-san, you're back!" Hinata thought.
"Hinata, are you sure you're alright?" Kiba, her other teammate, asked; his dog, Akumaru barked in concern.
"I'm fine... but could we have a break, now?" Hinata asked.
"Yeah, I guess. I'm starting to get hungry, anyway!" Kiba said rubbing Akumaru's ears. "Do you wanna get--" but Hinata had already run off leaving Kiba talking to the air. "Hinata sure has been acting strange, don't ya think?"
"......" was Shino's reply.
"Um... okay then," Kiba said. "Thanks for the input!" he said sarcastically.

"Mayu-san... what happened?" Hinata asked slowly her run into a walk.
Mayu: What do you mean?
"Well, Sasuke-san was brought back to the village," Hinata answered. "He was badly injured and he's in the hospital."
Mayu: WHAT? He's hurt that badly?
"Yes..."
Mayu: STUPID! I told him not to... Why are guys such idiots?
"Mayu-san, shall we go?" Hinata asked.
Mayu: Yes, yes... of course. It's partially my fault, anyway.

Hinata quietly followed the nurse towards Sasuke's room. Mayu was unusually quiet also the whole time she walked to the Konoha Hospital. "Sasuke-kun is still unconscious, so you can only stay for a few minutes."
"I understand," Hinata said nodding.
"Here we are," the nurse said, she opened up the door to Sasuke room and stepped inside. "I'm sorry, but you're time is up," she told someone. Hinata stepped into the room to see Sakura sitting down in a chair next to Sasuke's bed.
"But I--" Sakura began but then noticed Hinata standing by the nurse. "What are you doing here, Hinata? I thought you liked Naruto." Hinata's eyebrow twitched at Sakura's statement.
"Everyone does know!" she thought. "Naruto-kun is my friend and I wanted to... check on Sasuke for him," Hinata said out loud.
"Oh, so you're writing to each other, now?" Sakura asked. Hinata opened her mouth to reply but the nurse was faster.
"Ah, ah, ah!" she said. "Your time is up, Sakura-san. Off you go! You will be able to come back tomorrow."
"Fine, fine..." Sakura said standing and then walking towards the door. "See ya, Hinata." Sakura shut the door behind her.
"Yeah..." Hinata mumbled. In truth, Hinata knew that she wouldn't see Sakura again for a long time; the two weren't one social terms.
The nurse walked towards the door and then opened it, but before she stepped out she turned to Hinata. "You have ten minutes," she said.
"I won't be that long," Hinata said.
"Yeah, yeah... that's what the last girl said," the nurse muttered leaving the room shutting the door behind her. Hinata sighed out, she listened to the nurses departing footsteps.
Mayu: Is she gone yet?
"Let me check," Hinata thought activating her Byakugan; she scaned the area twice. "Yeah... there's no one in the halls."
Suddenly, a puff of smoke appeared beside Hinata. Mayu coughed as she waved away the smoke. "Man, we really need to do something about that smoke, Hinata!" she said. Hinata smiled lightly as she stared at her friend.
"Mayu-san, I'll wait outside for you," she said.
"Oh, okay..." Mayu said, she started walking towards Sasuke. She sat down on the bed near Sasuke's body.
Hinata stared at the two for a moment before exiting the room with an even bigger smile on her face. "I wonder..." she thought closing the door behind her. Meanwhile, back in the room, Mayu scooted closer to Sasuke.
"Sasuke..." she whispered. "This is your fault... as well as mine." Sasuke had bandages wrapped around his wrist where Itachi had grabbed him. "Maybe I should have listened to you and waited that ten minutes. But then again, your stubborn butt would have ended up like this, anyway."
Mayu let out a small chuckle, but then frowned. "Why are you so stubborn, Sasuke?" she asked the boy, not really expecting him to answer. Mayu rested her hand on Sasuke's arm. "Can't you see I don't want you to die?" She slid her arm down to Sasuke's hand. "You're my closest friend... besides Hinata, I mean... you can't just die on me. You understand that?" Suddenly, Sasuke's fingers curled around Mayu's hand making the girl's eyes widen.. "Sasuke...?" a small pink line streaked across her face, ear to ear.
"Ma... May... u..." Sasuke mumbled in his unconscious state. "Idiot..." Mayu frowned at his words, but then smiled lightly.
"Bird brain," she whispered bending down. "Thinking of me even in your current state." Mayu's lips brushed against Sasuke's forehead. "I'm fine... you don't have to worry so much." Mayu sat back up and sighed softly. "I can't believe even in his dreams I'm the idiot," she thought. "Rest well, Sasuke."
