"Come on, Hinata! Hold still or I'll mess up!" Mayu ordered, causing Hinata to whine in protest.

"But, Mayu-san...! Why do I have to wear lipstick and and eye shadow?" she asked. The two were currently in Hinata's room; outside, the sun was beginning to set; Mayu was trying to apply lipstick to Hinata's face; she’d already put the pink eyeshadow on. The two were already dressed in their yukatas. Mayu was wearing a blue floral print yukata with a green sash. Hinata was wearing a light purple yukata with several small white flowers printed near the bottom with a yellow sash. Mayu had her hair tied in a long braid coming out the back.

"Because you blush anyway, so you don't need that," Mayu answered, mishearing the question.

"That's not what I asked!" Hinata pointed out. "Why do I have to wear make up?"

"Don't you want to be cute for your boyfriend?" Mayu asked slyly, causing Hinata to blush deeply; she started stuttering incoherently. "Although you couldn't get any cuter!"

"Wha-What a-are you talking a-about?!" Hinata asked. Mayu giggled lightly and then grinned.

"Don't think I didn't know, Hinata-chan! You and Naruto are together as a couple!" she said.

"H-How...?!" Hinata choked out.

"Let's just say a little thug told me!" Mayu answered, winking. Hinata was confused at Mayu's words, so she didn't realize that Mayu was finished putting the pink lipstick on. Suddenly, her words dawned on the Hyuga heir.

"That was you...?!" she asked with wide eyes.

"Yup, sure was! It was Sasuke, too!" Mayu answered, standing up. "Ya see, the original plan was for us to attack you, and then Naruto comes to save you, all the while confessing his love for you! But we had no idea you two were already together!"

"... Mayu-san, that wasn't very nice!" Hinata replied, standing as well. Technically, Naruto and Hinata were together as a couple. In the end, Hinata couldn't tell Naruto the mistake he had made.

FLASHBACK

"...Um... Mayu-san and Sasuke-san aren't really together," Hinata started.

"They aren't...?" Naruto asked, confused. "But they're always alone together, doesn't that mean that they are? Like us, right...?" The look he gave her said he was hopeful, causing Hinata to look away.

"... Like us..." Hinata repeated and then gulped; she turned back to Naruto. "No, they're not like us... but will be soon." She blushed as she said this. ‘I can't believe I just said that!’ Hinata thought closing her eyes. ‘There's no way Naruto-kun will believe that!’

"So, sooner or later they’ll be just like us?" Naruto asked. Hinata nodded reluctantly to answer his question. "That's great! That means you're officially my girlfriend! At first I was a little confused, but now that you explained it to me, I know! I'm glad you're my girlfriend, Hinata-chan!" Hinata smiled lightly at Naruto's reaction. Was he truly happy that she was his girlfriend?

"I-I'm glad you think so, Naruto-kun!"

Hinata smiled at the mere memory of her conversation with Naruto. "Hey, Hinata...!" Mayu's voice got her attention.

"Y-Yes...?" she asked.

"You think they're done setting up?"

"I'm not sure... it's been a couple of hours since the ceremony of the Fifth Hokage," Hinata answered. "They might be finished."

"Okay, so should I wear the sunglasses or the cat mask?" Mayu held up the two items.

"Um... I'm wearing a rabbit mask, so I think you should wear the mask... it would be a nice change," Hinata suggested.

"Mmm... good idea... and people won't know my identity!" Mayu said, cheerfully. "Well, we should go now. We don't want to keep you BOYFRIEND waiting!" With that being said, she disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

"BOYFRIEND...!?" a shout came from the other side of the house; it sounded like female's voice. "FATHER, BIG SISTER HAS A BOYFRIEND...!"

"WHAT?!" Hinata heard Hiashi yell.

"Mayu-san...!" Hinata muttered. Mayu only giggled loudly in Hinata's mind.

"So..." Neji began; he and Hinata were walking into town. Hinata wore her rabbit mask on the side of her head. Hiashi had made Neji escort his daughter when he found out the she had a boyfriend. He made such a big fuss over it, too, and he didn't even know who it was. Yes, Hinata had managed to keep her mouth shut about Naruto, with Mayu laughing all the while. "Who is this boyfriend of yours?" Hinata blushed at his question; she looked away thinking of something that would get Neji's mind off her.

"Um... how's your training going, nii-san?" she finally asked, keeping her eyes to the ground.

"It's going well, thank you..." Neji answered, momentarily forgetting what he had asked. "My Byakugan and taijutsu has increased in power. What about you?" After the chunin exams, Neji and Hinata had grown closer. They usually talked before or after Neji went off to train. A bond had started to grow between the two.

"Oh... Naruto-kun is sorta helping me with my training," Hinata answered.

"I see..." Neji turned back to the road. "You didn't answer my question..."

"W-What question...?!" Hinata asked, eyes wide. ‘Crap...!’ she thought.

"Who is this boyfriend of yours?" Neji asked. Hinata bit her lip, trying again to think of something else to talk about.

Mayu: Hehehe! Just tell him, Hinata!

"This is all your fault...!" Hinata thought. "Why did you shout that out?!"

Mayu: ... funny...?

"Ha ha..." Hinata muttered sarcastically.

Mayu: I think I'm starting to rub off on you!

"Hinata-sama...?" Neji's voice got the girl's attention.

"Oh... uh..." Hinata said, nervously. "Uh... don't you have a girlfriend, Neji-nii-san?" Hinata smacked her forehead mentally. Of course Hyuga Neji didn't have a girlfriend! If he did, this girlfriend must have the patience of a saint.

"Well, actually..." Neji began, making Hinata's eyes go wide once more.

"Y-You have a girlfriend?!" she asked, incredulously. "W-When...?"

"She's not really... I mean I barely... just forget what I said," Neji said, before he stared at the ground like it was the most fascinating thing he'd ever seen.

‘No way...!’ Hinata thought, glancing towards her cousin, and then stared at the ground herself.

Mayu: Tenten and him are already together?! No friggin' way! Naruto really did change him for the better!

"Neji-nii-san..." Hinata said softly, gaining the boy’s attention. "... I-I hope you find her..."

Mayu: Huh...?

Neji turned away and smirked. "You... still remember that?" he said; Hinata nodded... then she realized that he couldn't see her.

"Of course...! You came home happy..." she said. "I wanted to know, so I asked."

Mayu: What...?

"To tell you the truth... I had forgotten about her," Neji stated. "After my fight with Naruto... I started to remember a lot of things, her included."

Mayu: Uh...

"I'm glad... I like seeing this side of you," Hinata said, smiling lightly at her cousin.

Mayu: Okay.... WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!

Mayu's outburst caused Hinata to trip and fall to the ground. "Hinata-sama...!" Neji said, turning and walking back to the fallen girl.

Mayu: Oops... sorry, Hinata-chan!

‘Mayu-san...!’ Hinata thought as Neji helped her stand.

"Are you okay?" he asked. "Maybe you shouldn't go..."

"N-No... I'm fine!" Hinata said. "Just a small headache."

Mayu: Hey...!

"HINATA-CHAN, OVER HERE!" a familiar loud voice got the attention of both Hyugas.

The two looked up to see Naruto running towards them. Hinata's face lit up in excitement when she saw him. "Naruto-kun...!" she replied, waving. She also saw Sasuke following him, although he wasn't as happy looking as Naruto.

"Hi, Hinata-chan...! You look really pretty! You're even prettier than last time I saw you! I like the color of your yukata! You're so pretty! It matches your eyes perfectly! You're so cu--" Naruto was cut off because Sasuke had bopped him on the head.

"Shut it, dobe..." he said.

"Teme...!" Naruto growled at his friend/rival.

That's when Sasuke noticed that there was another pair of eyes glaring at him, besides Naruto. Neji had been glaring at Naruto, but then switched to Sasuke after he noticed his presence. What did Uchiha Sasuke want with Hinata? "Hyuga Neji..." Sasuke acknowledged.

"Uchiha Sasuke..." he replied; the two stared each other down, not once faltering in this battle of the fierce glares.

"Hey... bird brain, quit staring at Neji like that!" a voice caught both of the boys' attention. They turned and saw a cat-masked female in a blue yukata standing next to Hinata.

"And who are you?" Neji asked, glaring at the newcomer. Why was she standing next to Hinata?

"That's just Mayu, Sasuke's--I mean... our friend!" Naruto answered remembering what Hinata had said to him earlier. "I’d know her insults to Sasuke anywhere!" Hinata giggled at Naruto's explanation, causing the boy to smile widely and laugh along with her.

"They aren't insults!" Mayu protested, making Sasuke smirk. "They're nicknames!" That instantly caused him to grumble. "Anywho, let's go, Hinata!" Mayu continued linking her arm with Hinata's and dragging her off further into town.

"Hey, don't drag Hinata-chan!" Naruto called, running after the two.

"Hn..." Sasuke said, glanced towards Neji, before following the three.

‘And someone told me that he was cold and hateful...’ Neji thought.

"HEY, THERE HE IS, GAI-SENSEI!" a familiar voice made Neji flinch.

"EXCELLENT, LEE! YOUR YOUTHFUL SPIRIT HAS SENSED ANOTHER!" shouted his sensei. Why the hell did they have to yell? "YOU HAVE TRULY GROWN!"

"GAI-SENSEI!"

"LEE!"

"GAI-SENSEI!"

‘I'm going to get a headache... again,’ Neji thought. ‘Isn't he supposed to be in the hospital anyway?!’

"NEJI, HELP ME...!" Tenten called to him, making him sigh loudly.

Sasuke's POV

It wasn't long before I caught up with the three; they had stopped at a stand. I think they were playing some kind of game. "See, Hinata-chan, I played this game when I went with perverted hermit! I'm a pro!" I resisted the urge to roll my eyes at Naruto's actions as I stopped behind the three. Mayu, Hinata, and that idiot, Naruto, were kneeling in front of a stand. Mayu and Naruto had small nets in their hands... and they were trying to catch fish. "Ya see, you have to catch the fish with the net and transport them to the other bowl!" Naruto continued, explaining.

"Let's get it started then!" Mayu shouted raising a fist in the air; she could be so childish sometimes. Isn't she supposed to be older than me?

"Why are you getting so excited?" I asked. "It's just a game." Mayu turned around looking at me. I guess she was looking at me; the mask covered her entire face.

"Yeah, but this game calls for speed, strategy, and patience..." she explained. "It might be simple, but it's a good training exercise."

"You're definitely lacking in the patience department," I informed her.

"... You're hilarious," Mayu muttered sarcastically as she turned back to the fish tank.

"I do try..." I said, just as sarcastically.

"Hardy har har... now stop it," Mayu said.

"Hinata-chan, I'm gonna win you a stuffed animal!" Naruto shouted, causing the girl to blush. Hinata sure does blush a lot. She must really like the dobe. I looked at Mayu's crouched form to see that she had already ripped ten nets. How she did it in... what, five seconds... I'm not sure, but she did.

I continued to watch her rip the nets; it seemed as if the fish was going right through her nets. I chuckled seeing Mayu's shoulders start to shake. She was getting mad; I could tell by the way she swiped at the poor fishes. "I GOT ONE!" Naruto's shout made me look towards him and Hinata. He really had one of those fishes in a smaller bowl.

"Good job, Naruto-kun!" Hinata told him. Naruto smiled at Hinata after she gave him that compliment.

I mentally sighed at the look he was giving her. It reminded me so much of that look Sakura and those other fan girls give me. "What...?! No fair! Naruto got one before me!" Mayu stated the obvious.

"Hehehe! That's because I always exceed my training!" Naruto grinned. I really tried to keep myself from scoffing.

"Here you go!" the stand owner said, handing Naruto a giant stuffed fox.

"It's not fair!" Mayu shouted again.

"I-I want you to have this, Hinata-chan!" Naruto exclaimed, standing and holding out the giant fox. Of course she accepted the gift, blushing all the while. "Okay, let go!"

"Wait!" Mayu shouted. "I want a stuffed animal, too!"

"You can always come back," I said.

"No, I want a animal now!" Mayu said, sitting. "And I won't leave until I get one!"

What a brat she is! I heard Hinata sigh; I guess she was used to Mayu's ways by now. "But I don't want to wait around for her to finally win! By the time she does win, it'll be all over!" Naruto complained, causing Mayu to practically growl.

"Fine then, leave!" she yelled at him.

"Fine then, we will!" Naruto yelled back, he then grabbed Hinata's hand and walked off. Never seen the idiot move that fast before... Suddenly, I heard sobbing... it sounded like Mayu.

"Hey, don't cry little girl!" The stand owner said. I turned and saw that Mayu had taken off her mask, and had her hands cover her face.

"I only wanted an animal...!" She told him; this time I think I did roll my eyes.

"Maybe your boyfriend will win you one," My eye twitched when the owner said that.

"I'm not--" I began but Mayu interrupted.

"Sasuke! You'll win for me, won't you?" she asked, looking at me; she wasn't even crying!

"It's just a waste of time," I replied, pulling her up. "Let's just go."

"Sasuke, please..." Mayu said, holding on to me, causing me to look back at her. I sighed in defeat. "Thanks a million!" Mayu knew me far too well if she knew my answer from a simple sigh.

"Whatever..." I mumbled, kneeling near the tank of fish. The stand owner gave me three nets.

"Just to get you started," he said.

"I'll get it in one strike," I stated, giving back the other two nets.

"That's what they all say," the owner said, making me grumble. What the hell did he mean by that?! This silly little game is nothing compared to me, Uchiha Sasuke.

"Hurry, Sasuke, or we'll never catch up with Hinata and Naruto," Mayu told me; she had knelt down next to me.

"Yeah, yeah..." I muttered dipping the net into the water. There was a fish swimming near my net, so I just waited. "Fish can be idiots, too,"I thought as the small goldfish swam right into my net.

I began to lift my net out of the water. As soon as the net made it out of the water... the fish dropped back into the tank! I blinked in confusion. What the hell?! I had it in the net! I looked at the net to set it had a hole in it. "Sasuke... I told you this game calls for speed!" Mayu said, shaking my shoulders; I just glared at the net. "Try again!"

"Give me another!" I ordered the stand owner, who was grinning smugly at me. Damn him...! "This time... I'll definitely get it!" I said, snatching the net away from the owner.

Mayu's POV

I saw Sasuke's eye twitch in irritation again. He had just ripped another net. I sighed loudly as I stood up. Sasuke already had about twenty ripped nets around him. "Where do you think you're going?!" Sasuke asked me; I just rolled my eyes at his question.

"My legs are starting to get numb," I answered. I looked around to see that it had already gotten dark, and people had set up lights and lanterns. "Let's just go," I told Sasuke. "If we stick here the whole time waiting for you, then we'll miss the whole celebration!"

Sasuke glared at me, but I just ignored that look. I was getting used to that glare. "We all know that you're not going to catch one before this thing is over, so let's just go!" I continued.

"What...?!" Sasuke asked, calmly. My plan must be working...

"Let's face it... you just don't have what it takes to catch a simple fish," I teased, grinning. I saw Sasuke close his eyes, his fingers were practically clawing into the ground. "He's mad now... and all I had to do was insult him."

Sasuke's POV

HOW DARE SHE?! Why the heck would she even say that?! Mayu had just wounded my pride and deflated my ego. "Give me two more nets!" I yelled at the stand owner. He hurriedly passed me two. "You think I don't have what it takes?!" I directed my question to Mayu, although I wasn't looking at her.

"Uh..." was her response.

"Well, I’ll show you!" I continued putting the two 'weapons' in both of my hands. The nets hovered over the tank; I slowly breathed out. I could feel Mayu staring at me. I'll show her... I won't lose again! That's when I plunged the nets into the water, going in and out, faster and faster. Suddenly, I feel myself being knocked to the ground. "What the hell?"I thought, opening my eyes; I saw that Mayu was on top of me and she was laughing.

"That was amazing!" she said, hugging me.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, sitting up; Mayu stood up and helped me up... even though I didn't need it.

"You won..." she answered. "That was so awesome! You were like-.” Mayu moved her arms wildly. “And I was like 'Oh my gawd!' Then all of a sudden, all the fish were in the bowls! THAT WAS COOL!" I looked at her, and then at the tank.

The tank was completely empty. No fish, no water either... I looked up to see the stand owner glaring at me; he was covered head to toe in water. Didn't mean to do that. Oh well, not my problem. "That was really amazing, Sasuke!" Mayu continued with the compliments causing me to smirk.

"Little stuff like that really impresses you?" I asked smugly.

"Of course!" she said, taking a stuffed animal away from the angry owner. Which happened to be a giant bird. Oh crap...! "I shall name my prize... Sasuke-chan!"

I could feel my eye twitch. I can't believe she's insulting me after I had won her something! "Mayu, you--" I began, but Mayu's next words cut me off.

"I can't wait to go to sleep with you!" she said, making my mouth drop open; my eye twitched again. I just walked away after that. I was probably misunderstanding her... again! "Hey, wait up, Sasuke!" Mayu called after me.

"No..."

"Oh, come on! You know I'm just playin`!" Mayu said; she was now walking next to me. She had the giant bird under her arm; she intertwined her fingers with mine, causing me to tense up. Mayu smiled at me and squeezed my hand a little tighter. "Don't be so uptight. You should know how I am by now."

"Yeah..." I muttered, relaxing.

"That's good!" Mayu said. "So... do you want to get something to eat first or find the two lovebirds?"

"I'd rather not hear Naruto talk about Hinata," I replied. "Let's go eat."

"Yay!" she exclaimed, dragging me off. I sighed inwardly... typical Mayu...

"Let's go here! No, over there!" Mayu exclaimed, going from place to place. "No, that's the place! No, no, that place is better!" When she ran passed me again, I grabbed the back of her yukata.

"Would you calm down?" I said to her. Mayu looked back at me and smiled; she had not put that mask back on.

"Sorry, this is so friggin' exciting!" she said. I let go of her yukata and shook my head. "I mean... I've never been to a festival before."

"Yeah, yeah..." I muttered.

"Hey, Mayu-chan," A voice caught my attention.

"Hiya, Kakashi-san!" Mayu waved enthusiastically at my sensei.

"Oh, Sasuke, I didn't expect to see you here," Kakashi said as he walked towards me. "You don't seem like the social type. Could it be that you came for Mayu?"

"Shut up..." I muttered. I was planning on coming to the festival, anyway.

I even went looking for a stupid mask. The only mask I could find was a bird... all of them were bird masks! And there was absolutely NO way that I was wearing a bird mask in front of Mayu. I couldn't pay her to shut up about it!
"Kakashi-san...! Kakashi-san! Don't I look cute?! Huh, huh, Kakashi-san?!" Mayu asked jumping up and down next to him. "It's the first time I've ever wore a yukata!"

"Yes, you look good, indeed," Kakashi answered. "What do you think, Sasuke?"

I glared at Kakashi, because of his question; Mayu had looked towards me. I don't like being in the spotlight... no matter how much it seems that way. Mayu continued to stare at me with curious eyes. Damn, she looked so cute... "Okay, where the hell did that come from?!" I thought, looking at the ground.

"Oh, Sasuke-kun, is that a blush I see on your face?" Kakashi asked in a teasing voice.

"What the hell are you talking about?!" I lashed out at him causing him to step back and put his hands up in defense. I have a habit of making people do that.

"Don't ask me stuff like that!" With that being said, I rushed off into a random restaurant.

"Kakashi-san...!" I heard Mayu yelled at my sensei. If I wasn't in public, I would laugh because Kakashi had started stammering excuses. I guess Mayu has that effect on people. I looked around the restaurant to see that it wasn't exactly a restaurant. It looked more like a bar, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't because I saw Naruto and Hinata sitting at one of the tables; there wasn't that many people here either.

I did see a stage, though. There was a sign that said 'Karaoke Tonight!', but I wasn't really interested in that. ‘That must be the reason that idiot came here,’ I thought, referring to Naruto. ‘Maybe, we shouldn't eat here... I really don't want to hear Naruto singing.’

"Come on, Sasuke, let's find a table!" Mayu suddenly grabbed my arm and pulled me towards a table. I guess she didn't see Hinata and Naruto yet.

"Whatever..." I muttered, allowing Mayu to drag me to a chair.

I noticed that Kakashi had followed us. "And why exactly are you still here?" I asked him.

"My personal amusement," he answered; I suddenly got the feeling that Kakashi had a motive... a motive that was not very admirable.

‘What is he planning?’ I thought narrowing my eyes. Meanwhile, Mayu was in her own little world by now.

"I wonder what I should order," I heard her mutter, tapping her lip while staring at the menu.

"Hello, and welcome to Derishasu!" A waiter suddenly popped out of no where! "How may I help you tonight?"

Well, first you can start off by not popping out of nowhere! "Two waters and sake... please," Kakashi said. I looked at him in question. It wasn't like Kakashi to treat other people. Found that out when Mayu and I met him after that whole thing with the Sand. "Don't worry about it. You two just enjoy yourselves."

"Thanks, Kakashi-san!" Mayu exclaimed, and then her eyes scanned over the menu again. "And here I was going to get something cheap!"

"That's two waters and... sake!" the waiter repeated, writing in that little pad of his. "Coming right up!" he than just kinda disappeared... strange, I know.

"So... what are we doing after this?" Mayu asked, not noticing the sudden disappearance of our waiter.

"How about some more games?" Kakashi asked; I guess he didn't notice either.

"And who said you were coming?" I asked, annoyed that he was still here. Kakashi leaned towards me; I could tell he was smiling under that mask.

"Do you really want to be alone with Mayu-chan that much?" he asked; I could feel a blood vessel pop after he asked that. "Oh you're blushing again. How cute...!" Kakashi continued in a whisper.

"Shut. Up...!" I yelled in a whisper so that Mayu couldn't hear, but I'm pretty sure she was still laughing maniacally because of the menu. "Don't say anything else about it!" Kakashi just chuckled and sat back in his seat. I wish I had a mask right about now, but I pretty sure that Mayu wasn't paying attention.

"I've decided!" She suddenly shouted. I shot her an annoyed look, but she just smiled at me, making me look away. "I'm gonna have Gyoza, Omuraisu, Miso Soup, Yakitori, Oden, and some chicken ramen!"

The look on Kakashi's face was priceless! "Got it...!" the waiter, again, popped out of nowhere and was scribbling on that notepad. "Anything else...?"

"NO!" Kakashi yelled, before I could place my order; I was just going to get the same thing as Mayu to torture Kakashi even more. "I mean, no thanks..." He glared at me to stop me from saying anything.

"Okay, I'll be right back with your order!" the waiter said, and then set our drinks on the table; he left soon after.

"Mayu... you sure have a... healthy appetite," Kakashi said, picking up his cup.

"Well, some of it's for Sasuke," Mayu replied, also picking up her cup. "I kinda remember what Sasuke had last time."

‘She really did remember...’ I thought, watching as Mayu swallowing her water. I suppose I did kinda... sorta say that I liked Yakitori. Grilled chicken speared on sticks... it was genius.

"Hey...!" Kakashi and Mayu exclaimed in unison. "This doesn't taste like sake/water!" My eyes widened as I saw that Mayu's face became flushed.

Don't tell me that Mayu just drank... "WHOO! I feel great!" Mayu said hopping up from her seat with the cup in her hands, its contents splashed out with every twirl Mayu did. One drop landed on my bottom lip and I unconsciously licked it.

‘This is definitely not water!’ I thought in alarm. Kakashi must have realized this too, because he got up and stopped Mayu from moving.

"Oh, Kakashi-san... don't be a party pooper!" Mayu giggled, wobbling out of Kakashi's hold. She would have fell if it hadn't been for me catching her. "Thank you, Sasuke-chan... I mean-hic-Sasuke!"

"Mayu, we need to--" I began, but she suddenly just popped away. What the heck?! "Hinata...!" I said looking towards Hinata and Naruto. I began to walk towards them, already knowing that Mayu had went inside Naruto's girlfriend. Hinata suddenly fell out of her chair as I approached.

"Hinata-chan...!" Naruto exclaimed trying to help Hinata stand, but was failing miserably. Is she... drunk?

"Oh, Mayu-chan, you're h-here!" Hinata said, standing up by herself; she used the table to keep standing. "Hehehe! Don't say stuff like that, Mayu-chan!" Those two must be having a conversation. "Okay, okay, okay, okay... okay, okay..." Hinata said confirming what I thought; Hinata was drunk, she did some sloppy hands signs. "S-Shadow Clone jutsu!" Mayu appeared beside Hinata, her arm slung over Hinata's shoulders.

"Hey, what the heck is wrong with Hinata-chan?!" Naruto shouted at me.

"Shut up! Mayu accidentally consumed Kakashi's sake, and then went into Hinata causing her to become intoxicated, as well," I explained as calmly as a person could who was being attacked by Mayu, who currently had her arms wrapped around my neck. "Mayu and your precious Hinata are not in their right minds."

"What?! You let Mayu get drunk?!" Naruto yelled. "What kinda boyfriend are you?!"

"Shut up...!" I shouted at him. "I am not her boyfriend!"

"Could have fooled me with that blush on your face!" Naruto said.

"I. Do. Not. Blush!" I stated.

"Hey, where did Hinata-chan go?!" Naruto asked frantically. That's when I realized that Mayu wasn't clinging to my neck anymore!

"They're on stage..." Kakashi said... rather calmly. I looked towards the stage to see Mayu and Hinata; they both had microphones in their hands and they had put on their masks. "Oh, they're going to sing, are they?" How can he be so damn calm? There are not one, but two underage people who are drunk... and it's practicallyhis fault!

"Hinata-chan, oh, Hinata-chan!" Mayu said into the microphone.

"Yes, Mayu-chan-hic-Mayu-pan?!" Hinata asked into her mic; she had made a mistake.

"Ssshalllll weeee-hic-sing for our wondurful audimence?" Mayu slurred her words.

"Y-Yes, May-chan! Weee shalllll! We shall!" Hinata said, nodding her head.

"But wait!" Mayu said over dramatically as she pointed at the 'audience', which was really just us and the guy at the bar. "There's ponly a tew feople mere!"

"Ket's bring nore feople!" Mayu said, causing me to sigh.

This little act of theirs is getting kinda annoying. "But, Mayu-chan, how tar we gonna get-hic- nore feople?" Hinata asked.

"I know...!" Mayu shouted into the mic, causing me to cover my ears in pain. I saw that Naruto had done the same; Kakashi just stood there. "So shorry, Sas-chan! But at tour expense... my voice shill te meard!"

‘What the hell is she talking about?’ I thought, just barely understanding her. Mayu breathed in deeply causing my eyes to widen; she was going to yell again!

"OH MY GAWD! IT'S SASUKE-KUN! HE'S TAKIN' OFF HIS SHIRT!" Mayu screamed, causing everyone to cover their ears. "AND KAKASHI-SAN IS GOING CRAZY AND HITTING PEOPLE WITH HIS THOUSAND YEARS OF PAIN!" When my eardrums finally stopped pounding, I released them and glared at the masked Mayu.

"Okay, what the hell was that about?!" I shouted.

"Yeah, Mayu, what's the big idea?" Naruto asked, rubbing his ears.

"Wait for it..." Mayu said seriously. Suddenly, I heard this rumbling noise... and for some reason it scared me! The sounds of squealing could be heard in the distance.

"Oh... no..." I muttered.

"Mmm... fan girls," Kakashi said calmly; he had whipped out that book of his. I hurriedly did a couple of hand signs. "Oh... and every ninja in Konoha. I'm going to kill your girlfriend, Sasuke." I did my best to ignore that last comment.

"Transform...!" I said, right before hundreds of -shudder- fan girls came crashing through the friggin' wall! "I'm going to kill Mayu for this," I muttered darkly.

"Hey, I don't see Sasuke-kun!" one of the fan girls shouted as I discreetly moved behind Kakashi. Even with the transformation jutsu... I wasn't taking any chances.

"But he's here!" one of them said making me peek from behind Kakashi. The one who spoke was Sakura! Why the hell...?! I thought she had gotten over that fan girl crap! "I can smell him!" She can... what?! I am definitely going to kill Mayu for this!

"Kakashi, what the heck are you trying to pull?!" Gai yelled, pointing an accusing finger at my sensei. "I was off having a grand time with my three youthful students, and all of a sudden I hear you're causing CHAOS again!" I saw that his team were with them, and they all looked annoyed... except for Lee.

"Attention all, rapid fan girls and ninja of Konoha!" Mayu said, getting their attention. "I just wanted the public to be the first to hear us sing! Me and Hinata-chan over here!"

"YAY! I'm gonnaaa ling!" Hinata slurred, while giving a sloppy wave to the crowd.

"KAKASHI...!" a woman's voice yelled; I looked to see a woman coming towards us. She grabbed Kakashi's vest. "What the hell did you do to my student?!" she sounded angry.

"Kurenai... you have it all wrong, really!" Kakashi said not taking his eyes off his little book.

The music ended and everyone was silent. The three who were on stage grinned like a bunch of idiots. I still didn't know who that boy was... and his hand was still around Mayu! ‘What the hell?!’ I thought. Suddenly, everyone, except the adults, was screaming, clapping, and whistling. I wonder why the adults didn't find that amusing.

"He's sooo cute!" a squeal came from the crowd. "Hot even...!"

"Yeah, even hotter than Uchiha Sasuke!" another squeal; that made my eye twitch. He's not that cute...

"Hold on a minute...! Sasuke-kun's still hot!" That one was Sakura.

"Yeah... but not hotter than that guy!"

"Yeah, he's older, too!"

"WE LOVE YOU MYSTERIOUS BOY!" the fan girls squealed in unison. That boy took a bow and then walked with Mayu and Hinata off the stage.

"All right, everyone out!" a voice boomed; I looked back on the small stage to see an bulky guy standing there. "My place is way too packed! So out with the lot of ya!" Many fan girls groaned and then left, Sakura included. The other ninja left also. Now it was the same as before, before Mayu screamed... except for that boy! I went over to Mayu and Hinata after transforming back into my body.

"So... it's good to finally see you again, Mayu-chan," that boy said.

"Huh...?" Mayu said.

"You know this guy, Mayu?" Naruto asked.

"Uh..." Mayu said, tapping her lip.

"Oh, come on, Mayu-chan!" that boy said; it sounded as if he was whining. "Don't tell me you forgot about me!" Mayu still looked confused, though. This guy must have her confused with some other Mayu. I mean, Mayu is with me most of the time. She couldn't have met him... or I would have met him, too.

Suddenly, Mayu gasped, causing me to focus on her. "Nakatsu-kun...!" she exclaimed, pointing at the older boy. What...?! How the heck did she know him?

"That's right!" Nakatsu replied, putting his hand on Mayu's shoulder; my eye twitch at his actions. "I'm so glad you remember, beautiful." Beautiful...?! Who the hell is this guy? He just made Ishikari Mayu blush!

"So... um... how have ya been?" Mayu asked.

"I've been great... but not my dad; he is really pissed," Nakatsu began, making my eyebrow twitch. He's was not planning on leaving anytime soon, was he?

"Why...?"

"Well, remember the inn?" Nakatsu asked; Mayu nodded. The inn...? He couldn't mean the inn where I fought Itachi, could he? "Well, I don't know what happened, but the inn took a lot of damage. And now... I'm staying in Konoha with some family members while my dad rebuilds." Mayu started laughing at that, confirming what I'd thought.

"I-I w-w-was there when it h-h-happened!" she laughed out loud; she must still be drunk.

"You know who did it?" Nakatsu asked.

"Yeah, it was--" Mayu began, but fortunately Naruto covered her mouth with his hand.

"Mayu, you talk way too much!" he yelled.

"Naruto-kun... I feel weird again," Hinata said; she must still be drunk, too.

"Who's your friends?" Nakatsu asked.

"Oh, my friends!" Mayu chuckled. "How silly of me to formet! The blond one is Uzumaki Naruto," she pointed. "His girlfriend, who looks like she's about to fall, is Hyuuga Hinata." Naruto quickly caught Hinata before she fell. "And the one that's glaring at you is Uchiha Sasuke... aka.... um I can't remember right now... Everyone, this is Sawatari Nakatsu."

So my glare was noticeable, huh? Nakatsu turned around and stared at me. "You're... kinda short," was the first thing that came from his mouth. The only thing that stopped me from punching his face in was Mayu; she had stood in between us and stated:

"Bird brain...! That's what it is! I remember, now!"

‘Mayu, you–‘ I thought.

"Anyway, it's a pleasure meeting you... all of you!" Nakatsu said; he walked over to Hinata and lightly kissed the back of her hand.

He's lucky he didn't try that with Mayu! "Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Naruto shouted, not liking Nakatsu's action; he stood in front of Hinata in a protective way. "Take your hands off my girlfriend!"

Nakatsu only chuckled at Naruto's action, and then patted his head. "Don't worry, little man," he said, making Naruto glare and smack Nakatsu’s hand away. "Even though your girlfriend is very pretty... I have my eyes set on someone else." And then Nakatsu's eyes turned on Mayu! What the hell is with his eyes?! Why was he looking at Mayu like that?! I did NOT like this guy. I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder; I looked up to see that it was Kakashi.

"Looks like a certain someone is green with envy," he said.

"Shut up...!" I stated. Kakashi is really starting to piss me off!

"Well, I guess I'll be going now," Nakatsu said. "It was great singing with you. Bye, Mayu-chan!"

‘Good bye...!’ I thought, frowning at Nakatsu's back.

"Yait, Nakatsu-kun!" Mayu stopped him from leaving. Mayu really is drunk out of her mind; any person could see that I didn't want him here.

"Yes, Mayu-chan?" Nakatsu asked, turning back around.

"Where ya goin'?" she asked him.

"Um... I'm going back to my relatives," he answered.

"That's cho pun!" Mayu mixed her letters again. "Come join mus!"

"Is that okay?" Nakatsu asked, looking at Kakashi.

‘Hell no, it ain't!’ I thought angrily.

Why the hell would Mayu ask him to sit with us?! "Sure, it's fine!" Kakashi answered Nakatsu's question, making me turn around and glare at my sensei. How dare he say yes! "Mayu ordered enough food to feed an army. Come; please, sit with us!"

"I'm going to kill you," I muttered to Kakashi as we walked back over to our table, Mayu and Nakatsu were behind us. I think Naruto and Hinata went back to whatever it was that they were doing. Kakashi only chuckled, causing me to glare at him again. This was going to be one long night.

"So, Nakatsu-kun, how old are you, anyway?" Mayu asked, getting up from the table. "I forgot to ask you." Everyone was finished eating, and now they were about to leave.

"Oh, I'm fourteen," he answered, grinning.

"Ha! I'm thirteen!" Mayu exclaimed. She was still slightly drunk from the sake she had consumed earlier. After all, it was a whole cup, and she drank it like it was water.

"And how old is your friend back there?" Nakatsu asked, pointing behind him at the still glaring Sasuke.

"Oh, he's... um... Sasuke?" Mayu said, turning around questioningly.

"Twelve..." he muttered. "Thirteen on the 23rd of July."

"That's monly a onth away!" Mayu exclaimed, mixing her words; she slowed her pace, so that now she was walking beside Sasuke. "How come you didn't mell te?"

"You never asked," Sasuke stated, causing Mayu to roll her eyes.

Sasuke mentally was grinning smugly at Nakatsu, who was glaring at him now, that caused Sasuke to smirk openly. "So what do you want for your birthday?" Mayu asked, holding her head. Sasuke quickly glanced at Mayu in concern.

"Never really thought about it," he answered, shrugging.

"... I see," Mayu said clutching her head, and then groaned softly. "Uh... Kakashi-sensei..."

"Yes, Mayu...?" Kakashi asked, slightly confused that she had called him 'sensei' instead of 'san' this time. She had stopped saying that after she had came back in the form of Hinata.

"I-I... I gon't teel foo dood," Mayu muttered, before falling back. Luckily, Kakashi was right behind her, and caught her before she hit the ground.

"What's wrong with her?" Nakatsu asked, in concern walking over to the group.

"Oh dear, it seems like the food she ate didn't help," Kakashi said, picking the girl up bridal style. "She needs to lie down for a while. And maybe get pills..."

"But we can't take her to the hospital!" Sasuke stated. "I'm surprised she didn't--" he stopped because he realized that Nakatsu was still with them.

"She didn't what? And why shouldn't we take her to the hospital?!" he asked.

"None of your damn business!" Sasuke replied coldly. Nakatsu glared at Sasuke in anger, not liking the tone in the younger boy's voice.

"You know what, you little midget?! You have been glaring at me all night, and I don't like that!" he said. "And anyway, Mayu-chan's my friend now, so I have the right to be worried about her!"

"Midget?!" Sasuke yelled, drawing the attention of innocent bystanders. "I'm still growing, thank you very much! Just because you're a little older doesn't give you the right to call me that! And I don't care what you think, Mayu doesn't concern you!"

"Who the hell do you think you are?!" Nakatsu asked, absolutely furious. How dare this little punk step up to him. He wasn't about to let this little kid talk to him like that, ninja or not. "Didn't anyone tell you to respect your elders?"

"So you want to be referred to as an old man now?!" Sasuke yelled, just as furious. He was a ninja, an effin' ninja! He was the one that should get some respect, not this... this nobody! "Fine... I'll call you old man!"

"You little... SNOTTY BRAT!" Nakatsu's face had gone red.

"DIRTY, OLD MAN!" Sasuke shouted back.

"That's it! I don't care if you are a little kid!" Nakatsu yelled, throwing a punch that caused Sasuke to also throw a punch. They both hit at the exact same time, causing them both to slid back. It wasn't long before they were at each other's throats again. Kakashi watched this fight in silence.

‘This is getting intense,’ he thought watching as Sasuke got punched in the gut... again; he quickly recovered and sent a kick to Nakatsu's leg making the boy fall to the ground. ‘Maybe I should stop this before Sasuke gets serious..."’

Sasuke was about to deliver another punch to Nakatsu's body, but Kakashi's voice stopped him. "It won't help Mayu if you two are fighting," he said calmly. Sasuke glared at Nakatsu's face one more time, and then got off the older boy. Nakatsu slowly stood, rubbing his aching side.

"So the little midget can pack a punch, huh?" Nakatsu said.

"Seems that the old man is faster than I thought," Sasuke glared at him, them turned to Kakashi. Nakatsu's eye twitched at Sasuke's remark.

"Anyway, I agree that Mayu shouldn't go to a hospital... especially without Hinata with her," Kakashi continued, after clearing his throat. "Here, Sasuke, take her." Kakashi transferred Mayu to Sasuke’s awaiting arms. Nakatsu frowned and stepped forward.

"Why does he get to take her?!" he asked, glaring at Sasuke. "My family's place isn't that far from here. I can get her help in no time!"

"Because the proper pills are at Sasuke's place," Kakashi answered, causing Sasuke to look at his sensei in confusion. "They're in your bathroom cabinet."

"I don't like this," Nakatsu muttered. "This midget is obviously dangerous. Mayu shouldn't be alone with him." Sasuke swallowed an insult and closed his eyes.

‘He's just a civilian... just a civilian... you can not kill him,’ he chanted in his head.

"Do not... put your nose into things you don't know about," Kakashi said, making Nakatsu stop from saying something else. "Hurry, Sasuke; she could wake up at any moment in pain." Sasuke nodded and then jumped up on a building and dashed off.

Sasuke's POV

‘Come on, come on, come on!’ I thought, watching the glass cup fill up with water. I had came home and took Mayu upstairs to my room. I turned the water off, grabbed the bottle of pills, and rushed back to my room where Mayu was still out. As I thought, she was still unconscious. I set the water and pills down on my desk, and then walked over to my bed. ‘Okay... what now?’ I thought, watching Mayu's chest go up and down. ‘At least she's breathing normal.’

Suddenly, Mayu groaned and turned in her sleep! "Ahhh...!" she groaned. "Please don't...! Ahhh! Don't do it!"

‘Mayu, what are you dreaming about?’ I thought moving closer to her. That was a very bad move on my part because Mayu... punched me! No, really...! She actually punched me! ‘Who fights in their sleep?!’ I thought, rubbing my already bruised face.

I sighed, and then got up off the floor. That reminds me... Nakatsu... just the thought of him makes my skin crawl! ‘But... why did I react like that?’ I thought, staring at Mayu; she had calmed down by now. ‘I'm usually quiet and calm... but with Nakatsu... I just exploded.’ Naruto does stuff like that... not me. "Mayu, you have changed me," I muttered out loud, moving Mayu's bangs from her forehead. ‘I blushed... I, Uchiha Sasuke blushed! Way too many people saw that, so I can't really deny that anymore. You make me blush. But... why? Why does my face feel like it's on fire whenever you smile at me?’

Ever since Mayu has come back, I've felt better about my miserable life. I feel stronger... although, it's not enough to defeat Itachi. But still... Mayu has unknowingly made me happy. I haven't been happy in a long time. Mayu's like a sister to me. I suppose that's why I got angry at Nakatsu. ‘I think he's not good enough for Mayu,’ I thought. ‘And he's not as far as I'm concerned.’

"Ahh..." Mayu was groaning in her sleep again. "Sasuke...?" Well, I thought she was asleep... "Ow... my head hurts!"

"I have something for that," I replied, fully standing, and then getting the water and pills from the desk. "Here..." I handed her the glass of water; I opened the bottle and took out two pills. "Kakashi said this will ease the pain."

Mayu nodded, taking the pills from me; she popped them in her mouth and... chewed. "Uh..." I muttered as a disgusted look appeared on Mayu's face. "You're not supposed to chew them." Mayu hurriedly drank all the water in the cup, and then sighed heavily.

"Next time tell me that!" she frowned. "Yuck, that was absolutely nasty!"

"You're a very weird person, Mayu," I informed her; I sat on the bed as she tossed her legs over the side of my bed.

Mayu smiled at me; I looked away to hide the blush that I just knew was on my face. "You're just finding this out now?"

"Point taken..." I muttered.

"So, what happened? I don't remember anything," Mayu said. "Did I eat?"

"Yes, you ate... a lot," I told her. "You have little to no manners."

"Yeah, that certainly sounds like me," Mayu said, chuckling nervously. "I only do that when I haven't eaten. If you remember, I didn't eat any food this morning because of my plan to get Hinata and Naruto together."

"You have the weirdest ideas, too."

"Yeah, that plan was kinda ridiculous," Mayu chuckled nervously again. "Probably freaked you out when I told you, didn't it?"

"Don't ever change..." I whispered.

"W-What...?"

"It's n-nothing," I said quickly, turning away; I didn't think she’d heard that. I heard Mayu sigh; I turned to see that she was now looking out of the window.

"Anything else happen?" she asked me.

"No, you passed out after we ate," I told her. No, I wasn't going to tell her about Nakatsu, she didn't need to know. "Oh, I did tell you my birthday." Mayu gasped, and then turned her attention.

"Really...?!" she asked excited. I swear the littlest things fascinate Mayu. It's kinda cute... "When is it? When is it? When is it?!?! Sasuke, tell me!"

"Okay, calm down, already!" I said. "July... July 23rd..."

"That's only a month away!" Mayu exclaimed. "How come you didn't tell me?"

"You didn't ask," I said, quirking a smirk. Mayu had said the same thing when she was drunk. "Anyway, how are you feeling?"

"Oh, I'm feel much better..." Mayu answered. "Thank you, Sasuke."

"No problem, Mayu," I said standing.

"Um..." Mayu began.

"Yes...?"

"I--"

VROOOOOM! BOOM!

A blue and red light shone brightly in the night sky. Mayu's eyes widen, and then suddenly, she hopped off the bed and now she had her arms wrapped around me! "AAAAHHH! LIGHTNING! I HATE THUNDER!!" She screamed; I instinctively wrapped my arms around her shaking body.

"It's not thunder, idiot," I told Mayu; I rubbed her back slowly. "It's just fireworks... they do it every time there's a celebration at night." Mayu's shaking slowly ceased, and she looked up at me.

"N-No thunder?" she asked. Wow, Mayu really is like a small kitten sometimes.

"No, it's just fireworks," I answered. Mayu slowly pulled away from me and looked at the ground.

"I... I feel really stupid right now," she muttered. I lifted her chin with my index finger. "Sasuke...?"

"Let's go watch," I said; Mayu smiled, and then took my hand.

"Yeah, let's watch from the roof!"

I think something is wrong with me. Sasuke and I were lying on the roof of the hotel, watching the fireworks light up the night sky. The fireworks were absolutely beautiful and great. They even had flower designs! It was absolutely amazing... and yet. ‘My gaze keeps shifting to Sasuke,’ I thought, frustrated. Why the heck does that keep happening?! ‘It makes no sense!’ I thought, watching the boy that lay beside me.

As the months passed by, and as I've gotten closer to Sasuke... he seems to have changed. Not just his attitude... his face, too. His face had become sharp and refined; it had become softer and clear. And his eyes... Sasuke's eyes were clearer, more confident, much more care free. Not a lot, but... it's there. I can see the change, and I find it appealing... ‘I guess being thirteen has made me notice how handsome Sasuke really is,’ I thought.

"Why are you staring at me?" Sasuke's voice made me jump. He saw me?! But he wasn't even looking at me; he was still staring up at the sky!

"Um... I thought I saw a bug on you, t-t-that's all!" I said quickly, diverting my gaze to the fireworks.

"Can I asked you something?" Sasuke suddenly asked, causing me to turn to face him; he was staring back at me. Man, I really hope that he thought my blush was just the fireworks' light on my face; I nodded my head slightly. "Why do you use the honorific kun in every boys' name except my own... and Naruto?"

That question totally threw me off! "Um... because if I did... I would sound like one of your rabid fan girls," I answered. "And... you two are my closest friends..."

"I see..." Sasuke said; he moved closer to me. "I'm glad I met you."

"Um... Sasuke..." I whispered as he got closer. "You haven't been to the hospital recently, have you?"

Sasuke narrowed his eyes at me and frowned. "No, moron...!" he said, lying back down. One of his hands was crossed over his chest and his other hand was at his side.

"I love you, too!" I muttered sarcastically, lacing my fingers with his.

"No, I love you!" Sasuke said, just as sarcastically, causing me to giggle.

"We are really something, you know that?" I asked, looking at the fireworks again.

"You made me this way," Sasuke stated.

"You know it!"

"Aww! How cute!" a voice said.

I sighed loudly and frowned. ‘Trust Naruto to ruin a moment!’

"Naruto, you idiot!" Sasuke yelled, sitting up. "Why are you three here, anyway!?" He was referring to Kakashi, a passed out Hinata, and Naruto.

"What happened to Hinata?!" I asked frantically.

"You are so late, Mayu!" Naruto said, pointing. What did he mean by that?!

That's when I remembered something very important...! “AHHHH!” I screamed in horror. ...Wow, horror sounds a lot like whore... Sasuke sat up in an instant; Naruto and Kakashi looked at me in confusion.

“What is it?” Sasuke asked.

“WHERE'S MY SASUKE-CHAN?!?!”

“Uh... he's right in front of you?” Naruto said, pointing at Sasuke; I shook my head several times.

“She's talking about that giant bird I won her,” Sasuke answered for me, and then he sighed. “You're a pain in the butt, Mayu.”

“I don't give a freak! I want Sasuke-chan!”

"I have it right here, Mayu," Kakashi said, waving my stuffed bird in the air.

"You're the greatest Kakashi-san!" I replied, standing. I went over to Kakashi and slipped... almost fell, too!

"Be careful!" Sasuke scolded me.

"Yes, ma'am!" I muttered causing Sasuke to glare at me.
