Chapter 13: the unexpected..

 

 

 

The toxic smell of medication woke Sasuke from his light sleep. A groan escaped pale lips as he stood. The white room seemed suddenly bright and Sasuke's head began to spin. Slowly, he opened the small door that led to the metal balcony outside the room. Stumbling from a light drone in his ears,he suddenly gulped in the freezing night air.

A cool, clear Feeling rushed over Sasuke.. and suddenly he knew what he had done. Sasuke had hurt Sakura. He had killed her. With a feeling of fear and pure agony, Sasuke felt the hot tears pricking at his eyes. Laying his head against the cold railing.. Sasuke began to cry.. and slowly.. his mind drifted back into memories...

 

 

“Sakura?..” Sasuke's voice echoed though the darkness. He knew that she was there, she had to be. No one else could've been... Suddenly a clad red and pink figure landed behind him and he turned. Sakura stood behind him. He could sense her sadness..her sorrow... ...

 

 

 

 

Slowly Sasuke pulled himself from the memory.. It was one of the more painful ones, and he would rather not re-visit it.. Looking down onto Konoha, he cursed at himself mentally again. The touch of a cool hand startled him. Turning,Sasuke saw no one.. Walking into the room he looked upon Sakura's form. Artificial life wasn't the thing for her, she was a beauty, and she should be as that. Slowly Sasuke Rested his hand on Sakura's. With a small sigh, he once again fought back the hot tears that stung his coal black eyes.

 

 

The pink locks of Sakura's hair rested under her head and neck smoothly. It was a good look, Sasuke thought, but as he thought this, slowly, Sakura's mind was awakening.. Sakura struggled to open her eyes. She could hear Sasuke!! he was there! He had saved her!! Joy coursed through her brain,but she found that something was restricting her from moving. She could feel everything, hear the hum of the machines around her.. Sakura could feel Sasuke right there... As Sasuke's hand squeezed down onto Sakura's, she willed herself to flinch. As Sasuke felt this, a yelp of surprise came from his lips. Leaning down, Sasuke pushed his lips against Sakura's as much as he could.

“Come on! Wake up,Sakura.. Wake up!!” he yelled, as he pushed his lips against her soft,warm lips again.

Sakura felt him kiss her.. and this made a spark of life shoot though her body as electricity would water. Give a gentle groan, Sakura's soft lips pushed up against his weakly, before her bright green orbs shot open with pain. The breathing tube was still down her throat, and she was now struggling to breath. With a frantic cry, Sasuke Ran out of the room..

 

 

 

 

It only took a few seconds for Sasuke to get someone in there to help Sakura. With a grunt, they managed to shove the over-joyous Uchiha out of the room...

 

 

“Where..am I?..” Sakura spoke gently, her voice soft and girlish, like she was the first time she had set eyes on Sasuke..

'You're in the hospital..” Sasuke replied gently and he softly put his hand on Sakura's.

A small noise came from Sakura's lips, and she tilted her head. She was confused, She knew who Sasuke was, but the last thing she could remember was that he had told her he thought she was still annoying.. Gently,Sakura turned her hand under his and she gave a weak smile. This was all so confusing to her. When did Sasuke become so... affectionate? The look in his eyes was strange too.. almost scary to Sakura. It was one she longed to see, but it confused her greatly.

“Oh..” Sakura went silent.

A small noise came from her lips as Sasuke kissed her. She kissed him back lightly and her cheeks brightened. A gentle laugh came from Sasuke's lips as he pressed his lips against her forehead.

'”I'm so glad that you're alive..”

This really surprised Sakura. She tilted her head before smiling to Sasuke without so much as a word. A confused look crossed Sasuke's face and Sakura Noticed.

“Sakura-Chan.. What do you remember?..” Sasuke spoke in a hurt tone.

“I..remember.. You.. leaving Konoha..” she muttered gently,

“Nothing else?”

“No..” Sakura just blinked.

As she said this, Sasuke felt his heart in his chest breaking. Sakura didn't remember anything that had happened. Nothing. It had all just disappeared from her mind. With a small sigh, Sasuke Got up.

“Sasuke-Kun..?”

“Yes Sakura?..” Sasuke replied softly..

“I Love you.. Remember that..” she smiled to Sasuke gently before letting her head rest back onto the pillow under her head....
