Ch. 5 is just Naruto and Sasuke's point of view into their mission leading to the end of Ch. 4's discussion.

 

Chapter 5: Naruto and Sasuke's Mission.

 

Streets of Konoha

 

“Dobe, we need to find that kid and help him train.” Sasuke said after walking about ten feet away from the tower.

 

“I know that Sasuke Bastard.” Naruto said.

 

“Perhaps he's at his home.” Sasuke says ignoring Naruto's comment and handing a sheet of paper with an address.

 

“Alright…If I know right this is apartment 343 in my building.”

 

“Duh…it says, `Apartment 343, Naruto's apartments'. Stupid Dobe.”

 

“Still…Let's just get going.” Naruto said with a heavy sigh.

 

 

Apartment Complex

Room 343

 

“So what's your name kid?” Naruto asked the ten year old boy.

 

“Jake, you two are my trainers?” Jake said.

 

“As it seems.” Sasuke said.

 

“Alright, what do you need? Taijutsu training? Ninjutsu training? Autograph?” Naruto said while chuckling on the last one.

 

“I need to learn a few new jutsu's along with chakra control, I have trouble with it.” The kid said nervously.

 

“Alright let's get going.” Sasuke said walking out the apartment towards Team Seven's training grounds.

 

“Right along with you.” Naruto said urging to boy to follow.

 

 

Team Seven's Training Grounds

 

“Alright, chakra control or Jutsu training first?” Naruto said turning to the boy.

 

“Chakra control of course! You have to know how to control your chakra before using any jutsu's!” The boy exclaimed

 

Laughing Naruto said, “Good, you past your first test.”

 

“Dobe…” Sasuke said.

 

The group taught the boy about chakra control hoping he'd understand how to do it, after they were done telling him they decided it was time to perform it.

 

“Now, direct the chakra to the bottoms of your feet.” Said Naruto and Sasuke unknowing that Hinata had walked by staring at Naruto and blushing.

 

“Run towards the tree and make sure you keep the balance between a lot of chakra and very little…Then walk up the tree not touching it with your hands.” Naruto and Sasuke said.

 

`He's so cute…' thought Hinata now watching Naruto and Sasuke train the boy. `And smart…'

 

“While you run up it remember to mark the last spot you can get to with your kunai knife.”

 

`Copying exactly what Kakashi-Sensei said really works' Naruto thought watching Jake climb the tree the same as Sasuke did when he did this exercise.

 

`Why does this seem familiar…?' Thought Sasuke.

 

The boy eventually, after about two hours, managed to get all the way up the tree, leaving many slashes at it in his wake. As the day turned to night Naruto finally noticed Hinata watching deep in thought.

 

“Hey Hinata!” Yelled Naruto.

 

“O-Oh u-uh H-hello N-Naruto-k-kun” Hinata stuttered.

 

`The dobe's admirer has come for a visit I see.' Thought Sasuke.

 

“Why don't you join us? I'm sure you're great at this exercise!”

 

“Uhh...S-Sure…” Said Hinata

 

`Must be brave…don't faint…don't faint…' Thought Hinata.

 

As Hinata stepped into the exercise it got interesting. Hinata is great at chakra control and was able to slowly walk all the way up the tallest tree with one foot. Hoping she didn't look like a show off Hinata decided to jump from tree side to tree side, still, on one foot.

 

“Amazing Hinata!” Exclaimed Naruto.

 

“Impressive…” Sasuke deadpanned.

 

“T-Thank you.” Hinata said with a blush.

 

“She's amazing! Why couldn't SHE be my teacher?” Jake said out loud.

 

Both Sasuke and Naruto sent a death glance towards Jake.

 

“Err…It's just she's so much better! Look at that, she can jump from tree to tree with one foot without loosing control of her movements!”

 

After much sighing and appraise from Jake Hinata stopped, and jumped to the ground.

 

“Excellent Hinata, now we have to train this kid in a few jutsu's” Naruto said impressed but not showing it.

 

“T-Thank you Na-Nar-“ Is all Hinata was able to say before she fainted in front of Naruto, Sasuke, and Jake.

 

“Did she just faint?” Said Naruto.

 

“Wonder why…” questioned Naruto.

 

As the day went by, Hinata on a bench, (Naruto moved her there so she wouldn't be in the way) Sasuke and Naruto taught Jake a bunch of Jutsu's, ranging from a replacement jutsu to a trap jutsu, even Sasuke seemed to enjoy this as he himself taught the kid Fireball jutsu, full well knowing he couldn't do it. Then Naruto spared.

 

“Is that the best you got dobe?” Sasuke mocked while sending a jab to Naruto's jaw.

 

“…” Was all Naruto could say, mainly because his head hurt from all the impacts, secondly because he was embarrassed to be beaten by Sasuke.

 

Naruto, finally seeming to show some life, jumped off the air, unknowingly to Sasuke preparing a shuriken trap he knew he'd be able to dodge, then jumped back down behind Sasuke to send a kick to Sasuke's back. Sasuke dodged this of course jumping in the air hitting the rope sending shuriken fly at him barely missing. As Sasuke fell back to the ground he sent a drop kick to Naruto causing him to fly back in pain. Sasuke then ran up to him and tried to kick him again, but Naruto used a replacement jutsu to avoid getting hit, and instead allowing Sasuke to feel a sting from the wood he knocked in half. Naruto was running low on chakra trying to avoid Sasuke's attacks including his ever so famous Fire Ball Jutsu. The Jutsu merely hit the wood and burned it making it disappear. Sasuke, likely even lower on chakra then Naruto, was getting desperate, using the water on the ground and the dirt to blind Naruto for a surprise attack but missing horribly because the dirt caused a cloud that blocked a lot of vision. Naruto finally retaliating by using the last of his chakra for a shadow clone jutsu, but sadly, a trap that was placed by Sasuke sprung and destroyed two of his three clones, along with sending a shuriken into his leg. Naruto bleeding badly decided to call it quits.

 

“I'm too hurt, please, bring me back.” Naruto finally admitted.

 

`Good, I was running low on chakra too…' thought Sasuke as he picked up Naruto's limp body.

 

“Alright kid, have fun.” Sasuke said.

 

In all the action, the two forgot to drop off the unconscious Hinata, so when she awoke she bumped into Sakura and Bobby.

 

 

Hokage Tower

 

“We're…Back.” Stuttered Sasuke dropping to the floor himself and Naruto.

 

“My, what's wrong with you two?” The Third questioned.

 

“You're bleeding Naruto!” Sakura said.

 

“You guys…beat us here…Maybe we shouldn't have over did it with that spar Sasuke…” Naruto said.

 

“Maybe…” Sasuke said.

 

After all of them healed the two weakening ninja the group sat down discussing their missions, Sakura and Bobby, of course, leaving out their little kissing fit in the woods.

 

“So you guys helped that kid more than he probably needed.” Kakashi said.

 

“Yea, it was fun though.” Naruto said.

 

“Anyways,” Bobby said ignoring the idiotic Naruto, “I hear there's some more ninja coming to town…”
