“Itachi!!!” Sasuke yelled

 

Sasuke … no … you need to leave now! … you and Naruto … your lives are in grave danger!

 

“Foolish little brother.” Itachi muttered

 

“Itachi I have fostered my hate for you, and now,” He does a dozen or more hand signs for chidori “and now … I will kill you!” He charged at his elder brother

 

“Sasuke … no!” Haoku yelled literally standing in front of Itachi blocking Sasuke's way.

 

“What are you doing, protecting him?” He yelled

 

“No Sasuke, I'm protecting you, if you attack him all you will be doing is throwing you life away!” She yelled then turned away and mumbles “And mine too …”

 

“Foolish wench …” Itachi said back handing her sending her flying across the hall way landing harshly against the wall and blacking out.

 

“Haoku!” Sasuke yelled “What did you do!?!”

 

“She was in my way …”

 

I can't stand by and watch this … Sasuke will be massacred … and end up like that poor girl Naruto thought as he began to do hand signs.

 

Kisame did what he did best, he used Samehada to cut his chakara into ribbons “Listen kid, if you try that again I might just be tempted to cut off your arms.”

 

Itachi snapped Sasuke's wrist and Sasuke let out a scream of sheer pain and Haoku seemed to twitch in the darkness of unconsciousness.

 

As Itachi continued to beat up on his little brother Haoku began to bleed, a large gash appeared on her left side and ran up all the way to her right shoulder.

 

~flash back~

 

“Ahhhhhhh! Sasuke-sensei please help me!” A six year old Haoku screamed, bleeding on the ground, her blood staining the spring's flowers.

 

“I'm here now Haoku, don't be afraid.” The respected ANBU said.

 

“Thank you …” was all she could manage to say before she blacked out.

 

Sasuke sat over the little girl in the ninja medical center.

 

Haoku woke up dizzy and sick. “Sa … Sasuke-sen-senei?”

 

“Hmmm?”

 

“What happened?”

 

“A rouge ninja attacked you, you're fine now though, just get your rest.”

 

“You'd e dead, if it wasn't for your sensei.” A nurse chimed in.

 

Sasuke grinned modestly. “A sensei is nothing with out his students, we must lay down our lives to protect them, teach them, and most important … care for them.”

 

The nurse nodded and pulled up Haoku' s gown inspecting her wound. “You should be alright for now, we'll replace your bandage with a new one in an hour or so.”

 

“Thank you miss.” Haoku smiled as she watched the woman walk out of the room.”

 

“Thank you too sensei …” She whispered before falling asleep.

 

~End Flash back~

 

“Hey, Itachi … check it out … Haoku … she's … bleeding.” Kisame said looking at the girl crippled on the ground.

 

“I didn't hit her that hard!”

 

“We're tampering with the future!” Kisame yelled

 

What is he talking about … the future? Naruto wondered to himself

 

“Haoku … Haoku … get up … are … are you ok?” Sasuke asked shaking her gently, in great pain himself and risking his life by trying to help her.

 

The girl continued to stay in deep sleep.

 

“Sasuke … leave the whelp alone … if she's not strong enough to with stand that then she doesn't belong in the Akatsuki.” Itachi commanded

 

“No, she doesn't belong with the Akatsuki anyway so why can't you just butt out and leave her alone, I let you kill the clan but I won't let you kill her Itachi,” He points at her as he leapt up forgetting all his pain and replacing it with rage. “I love her!”
