Haoku yawned and stretched trying to wake herself up by taking a large sip of sugar filled coffee that sat in front of her.

 

“Still not a morning person I guess?” Her mother asked as she came and sat next to her daughter.

 

“Actually I am it's just … I didn't sleep last, so much has happened … I'm suddenly engaged, pregnant and FINALLY going home after two years in the past, that's too much to sleep on.”

 

“I understand, just don't be too shocked when you have to walk through the village and no one's there …”

 

“Why, is the war still going on?”

 

“No, that's been long since over but that's all I can tell you for now.”

 

“Awwww c'mon …” Puppy dog eyes “Pwease?”

 

“No, I stand firm on this decision Haoku, I can't tell you.”

 

“Fine.” Sticks her tongue out as Itachi walks into the room. “I'll give you two a chance to catch up.” Before either of them could appose she was already walking out leaving Yaku and Itachi alone in the kitchen.

 

“Yaku … you're-“

 

“Old? Yeah, I know, I've settled down, had three beautiful children and have a husband that makes everything worth wild.”

 

Itachi sighed and sat down beside her. “It sounds like you love him … just as I love Haoku.”

 

Haoku smiled from out side the door to the dinning room and decided to truly leave them alone.

 

After what seemed like hours later, every one and every thing was ready. Except for Haoku, she sat in her room one last time and wrote a simple note.

 

Dear Sasuke,

 

I had fun during the time we had spent together but I think I should let you know I'm with your elder brother Itachi Uchiha, we are engaged and expecting a child. I hope you understand.

 

Haoku Hamagichi,

A.k.a. Komadori

 

 

She set the note on her bed then walked out with her luggage to the rest of the group.

 

“You ready to go now?” Yaku asked

 

She nodded unable to speak.

 

“I'm going to need help opening the portal again, after two years, my chakara power has dwindled quite a bit.”

 

Haoku nodded and did the hand signs as her mother had done opening the portal back to her own time.

 

“Hurry everyone; we have very little time to go through the portal before we get stuck in between times.” Haoku commanded

 

The Akatsuki huddled through the portal of swirling colors and followed Yaku through another empty hole where they appeared in a large village. The houses were a traditional style Japanese house with modern aspects. The village was also filled with color, flowers and other greenery surrounded every thing making the atmosphere light, airy, and welcoming.

 

“I can get used to this.” Pein chuckled as everyone looked around

 

“Welcome to my home.” Haoku panted after dragging her suit case out of the portal and a few feet. “Zetsubou, mind helping out a bit?”

 

Zetsubou suddenly appeared and took her suit case on his back and offered for any one else, he ended up being loaded down by half the Akatsuki's suit cases on his back and the other half on Na'ane's.

 

With the luggage problem solve they walked through the dead silent town, not speaking to each other just gaping at all the sights, both new and old.

 

Haoku finally broke down in a steady stream of tears of joy as she ran ahead and laughed breathing in the sweet air of being home. She did a small twirl letting the sunlight bounce off her engagement ring.

 

“I'M HOME!” She yelled and kept running making every one laugh at her childness, even Eva was calmer than she was.

 

“Some one's exited to be home.” Pein joked

 

“Naw, what made ya think that, nu?” Deidara questioned

 

“Maybe because she's running around like an idiot …” Hidan added

 

“Tobi's a good boy!” Tobi said randomly

 

“…” Itachi smiled to him self as he watched her run around like a little child and for some reason he could see a smaller younger version of Haoku running beside her giggling as she ran with an older version of herself.

 

“Haoku stay with the group!” Her mother yelled but it was hopeless to contain her excitement.

 

“I'm home, I'm home, I'm home!!!!!” She yelled dancing around with her eyes closed. She paused when she saw her house in the distance allowing every one else to catchy up.

 

“Is that your house?” Some one randomly asked

 

“Yeah …”

 

“It's huge!!!” Deidara screamed

 

Haoku turned and giggled at him. “Yeah, I know, my dad's the leader of this village.”

 

“Let's keep going, we have a long way to go to stop for idle chit chat.” Yaku said as she kept walking.

The rest of them tagged along not far behind except for Haoku who pranced ahead as if leading a parade of some sort.

 

When the group finally reached the home of the Hamagichi's they were astounded. The whole village was there throwing a welcome home party for the safe return of the princess.

 

Eva immediately wandered off to find her fiancé' Ferio as Haoku looked around for her family.

 

“Daddy!” She cried out suddenly as she ran up to a muscular man with black hair and eyes. She wrapped her arms around him but it was obvious she wasn't welcome so close to her own father as he simply stood there.

 

“So you're back?”

 

She let go and nodded “Yeah, I want you to meet some one though, c'mon Itachi!” She yelled waving in his direction to come over.

 

He walked over with a sigh then bowed in front of him. “My name is Uchiha Itachi, I'm Haoku's fiancé.”

 

“There's no need to be so formal.” Koichi (Haoku's father) examined Itachi with intelligent eyes. “From the looks of it you can take care of her pretty well, so you pass … for now …” He then walked away

 

She laughed a little as Itachi cursed under his breath. “Don't worry it's not up to him.”

 

“Good because I'd marry you no matter what anyone says.”

 

She smiled and kissed him lightly on the lips.

 

“Awwww, you're right Eva, they do make a cute couple.” Ferio's voice came loud a clear.

 

She looked at her cousin's fiancé with blue hair and blue eyes. “Long time no see Ferio. This is Itachi. Itachi this is Ferio.”

 

He nodded a little then looked away for any one else. Haoku picked up this and piety excused them from the conversations and took him into the house where it was dead silent.

 

“What's wrong?”

 

“I made a mistake coming here.”

 

“What!?! What do you mean?”

 

“Remember that Sasuke isn't dead and he's older and stronger now.”

 

“So?”

 

“He's your sensei so he'd be here to welcome you back!”

 

“I'll explain to him, he's really understanding so don't be afraid of your little brother Itachi.” She laughed at the though of Itachi running from the older and much more mature Sasuke.

 

“I don't see what's so funny.”

 

“Nothing Tach-san, do you want to go back out there or stay in here?”

“I'll stay … as you can probably tell … I'm not the social type.”

 

“Fine, I'll stay here with you then.” She smiled and leaned her head on his shoulder “I know it's early to be talking about this but what should we name our child?”

 

“We'll wait; we don't even know its gender yet Oku-chan.”

 

“Sorry, I'm just excited.”

 

“Trust me, you're not the only one.”
