Chapter One
Cold Silence
That's all Toshhio heard. Cold silence. He hid in the corner as the Akatsuki uniform brushed by him, sending a small gust of wind into his face, drying his eyes. He knew he'd never live for long. But at least he would try to live.
“I know you're here Toshhio…maybe when you're older you can join that little brother of mine in trying to kill me.” A man's voice broke that cold silence. He gave a heavy laugh and called to his “team” to go. They all laughed.
Well he was more like 16-17. That voice, would he ever forget it? It sent chills up his spine. The door to the barn slammed shut. Wait. Did this mean that he was going to live? Toshhio closed his eyes, and a tear drop rolled down his cheek and stung the cut he had, then the tear kept going and when it landed on the floor, it was a light red color. There was blood all around him. His clothes were soaked in it, and so was his hair. The air smelled musty, like blood and the floor was cold like stone. His hands were covered in blood because he had crawled into the puddles of blood surrounding his mother. Nothing made sense any more. Maybe, just maybe in two minutes or less, he'd wake up and have a nice breakfast and never think of this again. But he knew better. He wouldn't cry. He wouldn't, he couldn't. He had silently cried all his tears away. He crawled from his hiding spot. And his shoes splashed in the bloody puddles. He turned over his father. His eyes were open, staring off into the distance as if he was in some sort of trance. He was also bloody. He looked at the shocked faces of each body, staggered past what remained of the door and looked outside. His mouthed dropped open. His whole body trembled. When Toshhio saw what he saw, his heart skipped a beat.
