Chapter Two

What Toshio saw

 

Toshio peered out of the doorway into the street. What he saw made him pinch himself to make sure he wasn't dreaming. Everything was normal. Not a hair out of place. Not one freaked villager. This wasn't right. This wasn't like his village at all. If one of the Stray cats had died, they'd go crazy! Maybe they didn't know. “HEY EVEYONE!!!” he screamed, “LOOK EVERYONE IN THAT HOUSE IS DEAD!” few people minded him. One woman covered her son's ears and then after, she covered his eyes. A man looked at him and laughed. Then a really old man with wrinkles all over his face told him to go away. Even with the screaming and loud noises, no one cared. And, that where Toshio decided that he wouldn't care either. There was Blood everywhere, but no one noticed it, or maybe they just didn't care. And who were those people. He only known that the name of them was Akatsuki, but why did they hurt people and leave them to die? He had observed very closely. Toshio's father came into the house and then following him was a boy. Not a small boy but they same one that spoke to him. He had hurt Toshio's family and let them bleed to death. No, he didn't kill them quite directly but he had let them feel the pain.

“Go away while you can,” said a voice. And Toshio didn't even turn to look. He just heard and that's all he needed. He started to run. No tears. He didn't know where he was going but his feet kept on saying “Run, run, run.” So there wasn't much he could have done except run. That was the last time his village had heard of a 12 year old boy named Toshio.
