Disclaimer: 1- I do not own `Naruto' nor will I claim to. 2- I however do own Renaz and the other original characters you will see. 3- if you don't like reading fanfics with oc char then to bad, so sad don't read it. 4- this is my first fanfic, you flame and you die. 5- I started watching this anime in English so all of the jutsu's names and the likes are in English, if you don't like its your problem. 6- this fanfic takes place some time after the coronation of the fifth Hokage. 7- this fanfic is neither about Naruto nor any of his friends but about my oc char however I will but using the p.o.v. of several character where appropriate.

Simple, now lets get on with this fanfic.

Chapter 5: Decisions and Missions.

Two weeks later,

“Lady Tsunade those letters from the respective nations are here.” It was Shizune again once again with something for the Hokage.

Said Hokage was wait with dredge for the letters. “In here Shizune.” The Hokage was a busy woman of late however if these letters said was she thought they did they were going to get even more short-handed. Shizune arrived and the Hokage wanted to see the letters, which was promptly handed to her. After reading over the letters the Hokage found out the answer to a question that she had since she found out what happened shortly before her coronation. “Shizune.” Spoke the Hokage with authority, only used to her assistant when about to give an order. “I want you to bring Renaz here please.”

It was noon once again which meant only one thing. “Sorry everyone, I'm afraid I got lost on the path to life.” It was Kakashi three hours late as usual.

“I think I'm going to start sleeping later so that way I catch up on my beauty sleep.” Said Sakura.

“Seriously Kakashi-sensei, you're a jounin your suppose to be setting an example for us gennin.” Naruto exclaimed always getting upset at having to get up early when his teacher doesn't even show up on time.

Sasuke as always had no expression. “I hate to admit it, but Naruto's right Kakashi-sensei.”

They were all disappointed with their sensei that is until he said something rather unusual even for him, well not really unusual as he was repeating his self.

“Sorry everyone, I'm afraid I got lost on the path to life.” Kakashi spoke his famous line once again.

“You already said that!” Naruto shouted up at the chronically challenged sensei. “W-what!” The gennin was confused at what he was seeing. Apparently the Kakashi that spoke wasn't the only one there. Double vision was sitting in.

“Why are there two Kakashi's?” Sakura exclaimed accompanied by her inner self `CHA- if one wasn't bad enough- CHA!'

Sasuke just tisked and at the thought that he didn't catch that one of them was fake until there were two.

The Kakashi that had just appeared turned to the one that arrived earlier. “What are you doing?”

The first one just started to laugh but the voice was no longer that of Kakashi's. “So did I do a good impression of you?” a puff of smoke later revealed the coat wearing chakra master in the place were the former Kakashi was. “What gave me away.”

Kakashi just looked at him like someone who asked something that was slightly on the side of idiotic. “Yes it was a good imitation of me, and as for how I know…” Renaz just stood there expectedly. “Well I know how to tell the difference between me and someone that looks like me.”

Renaz just stared blankly for a second before he started to laugh. “I guess you would, wouldn't you!” Then he stared to laugh harder. “I can't believe your still pulling that `I got lost of the path' bit.”

Kakashi always the spoilsport coughed. “Well its nice to know you remember things like that but we are about to go on a mission and we are already behind schedule.” The latter part of the statement was mumbled.

Renaz's eyes brightened when he heard the part about a mission however. “You don't mind some company do you Kakashi?”

“Ya Kakashi-sensei can he?” Shouted Naruto to everyone's surprise however he ignored it, having still not asked his questions to Renaz.

Kakashi upon seeing the knuckle-headed ninja's enthusiasm caved in to the request. “Fine you can come, it will help with the mission if there are more then the standard four man group.”

“What would that be Kakashi-sensei?” Sakura questions, always wanting to know different strategies could not resist the urge ask.

“You see Sakura,” Kakashi began. “There have been an abnormal number of robberies in the past six weeks, and we've come to think that the party responsible is a four man squad of rouge ninja.”

“I see,” Sasuke spoke in a quite tone that he has when thinking. “My guess is that our job is to lure them out and deal with them.”

“Right” It all Kakashi had to say on the matter. He then turned to the chunin present. “Do you think you could turn into something that would be good to rob?”

“Alright I was getting tired of lounging around in the forest.” Renaz spoke as he formed the hand sign. “How about this… Transform.” With that a plume of smoke engulfed the Chunin. In place of the ninja now stood an older, noticeable pudgier, noble gentleman. The noble was dressed in fine silken red suit. “Well,” the man's deep voice resounded out. “What do you think, do I look someone that you'd want to rob?”

“Wow!” Sakura exclaimed running to the now nobleman. “The level that went into this transformation jutsu is incredible, LOOK you can even see the threads, most people don't even bother with that.”

The older man smiled when he heard that and spoke in the chunin voice. “It's the reason I passed the test to be a gennin I, unlike my classmates, like to think that it is the small details in the transformation that make the illusion.”

“Well enough of that,” the sensei spoke wanting to get the mission over with. “We are going to be moving up and down all the paths that the robberies have been taking place on until we come across the robbers themselves.”

Audible groans went out at this from the gennin, knowing just what a boring time they were in for.

Around four o'clock

“Ahh this is boring waiting for travelers to come by just to grab whatever is on them.” The ninja spoke to his two other comrades present. “I mean doing missions netted us more then this.”

“I know how I feel,” The second ninja said sullenly pulling something from the pack he was carrying. “Maybe running from the sand village was a mistake.”

“Absurd!” shouted the one that had been silent up till now, “With the death of the Kazekage, there really isn't anything that gives the village power any more.” The third rouge ninja said finally calming down. “With him gone there is nothing to spoke someone from invading, it was a matter of time before that happened, we had to leave now or get pulled into that.”

The other two nodded to their fellow ninja's words. Just then a fourth ninja appeared. “We are in luck, ” The ninja spoke in a quite voice. “There is a rich looking noble coming this way at about an hour away.” All of the rouge ninja grinned at the good news. “However,” the fourth rouge spoke in a quite tone. “There are four ninja guarding him.” The other three turned sullen once again. “We are going to have to distract them or grab the noble at the most opportune time to minimize injuries.” All shook their heads in agreement knowing their leader had been right in his assessment. “Alright then, everyone prepare then they be here in a hour.”

“Where is he Lady Tsunade will be angry if I can't find him.” Shizune muttered to herself. She had been doing that more and more lately, perhaps the stress of being the Hokage's assistant was getting to her. Then she spotted someone and it looked as if her luck was turning around. “Ah Gai, if I could have a moment of your time.”

Gai turned to see who could be calling him today was his day off. He was surprised to see Shizune running up to him. “What can I, Might Gai, do for you?”

Shizune smiled indeed her luck was turning. “You are a friend of Renaz right, I read it in the extended report I had found on him.” To this the taijutsu master informed her that indeed he was a friend of his. “Good, do you know where I could find him, I have been looking for him all afternoon and I can't seem to find him in any of the places in the reports.”

Gai thought about this for a second, “Did you try the east woods, the Hero's Monument, or the top of the Hokage faces?” Shizune answered that she did. “Oh wait I though I saw him with Kakashi about noon.” Shizune just signed in disappointment with Gai picked up on. “What's wrong?”

“Kakashi has a mission today with his squad and is liable to be gone all day.” Signing with defeat Shizune at her fate she went to inform Lady Tsunade that he wouldn't be returning till later.

“You know you young people need to be more attentive to a noble of my caliber.” The disguised Renaz spoke signaling them that he sensed someone.

It was discussed earlier that he would start to act more like a pompous noble when he sensed someone. Earlier he had started to act that way but then turned back to normal, saying that it was a scout and that they could expect to have an ambush in a little while. The fact that he was berating them more then ever meant that they could expect there would be robbers at anytime.

The first sign was that of Naruto not looking were he was going and fell into a pit trap, it was obvious that, that trap would not keep the young shinobi down, but out long enough. Then several traps were sprung, that had senbone needles and shurikans at everybody present. Two of the rouge ninja seeing that Kakashi was defending off the traps, decided that they needed to intervene. That was the most idiotic idea that they ever had as the kunai wielding jounin promptly took them down without killing them. The other two ninja seeing that their target was now free of protection proceeded to rush at the noble.

Said noble however was not surprised in the least. Turning towards the attacking shinobi Renaz formed hand signs. You could literally see the change in expression from a look of victory to that of a deer caught in the headlights. “Ninja Art: Magic Wire Jutsu.” That said the noble thrust his hands towards the two ninja and they froze in mid-air.

The trapped ninja had still not gotten over there shock but then a puff of smoke later and what was once a noble was now a ninja. The ninja's now were crestfallen knowing they play right into the enemies hands. “By now you know that we are rouge ninja right, otherwise they would not have sent ninja to deal us.” The lead shinobi of the rouges spoke in a mournful voice.

“That's right.” Kakashi said now only in a voice like that of the rouge ninja. “The village hidden in the Sand has confirmed your desertions and has given the Leaf village to deal with you.” The ninja that were coming around had now heard enough of the conversation to understand what was happening. Naruto only now getting out of the hole did not understand what was happening.

“What are you guys talking about?” Naruto in all his blind ignorance could not see what was taking place.

“Kakashi” Renaz asked not ever turning to the jounin. “Is the policy the same as when I was around?” To this Kakashi just said yes and the chunin just said, “I see.”

“Sakura, Sasuke, what is going on?” Naruto still not understanding asked.

“Listen up you moron.” Sasuke in his superior attitude told the blond ninja. “The policy when dealing with rouge ninja is to find and dispatch them.” Naruto tilts his head in confusion. “They are going to execute them you idiot.”

Naruto was shocked. Sure he had skipped out on a lot of lessons but he had never heard of this. “That's not true right Kakashi-sensei?” the silver-haired sensei didn't look at the young ninja. “Renaz tell me it's not true!”

The silver-eyed chunin looked solemnly at the boy with whisker marks on his cheeks. “Sorry Naruto, but it is standard procedure even since when I was doing missions then we send them back to the village they served if they were an ally village, which is the case here.”

“Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, I want you to head back to the village and give your report.” Kakashi ordered the three gennin.

The three left with none of them looking back all heading for the village with solemn attitudes.

“…That concludes our report Lady Tsunade.” Sakura spoke her voice still melancholy.

The Hokage thought about what the young kunoichi said, knowing that everything did indeed go well, although the end that comes to rouge ninja was not. Also it solved the problem of when Renaz would back.

As if summoned by her thoughts, both Renaz and Kakashi appeared before them in a plume of smoke. Seeing both of their faces confirmed what the young gennin told her.

“Gentlemen I expect to hear your reports immediately, you gennin however are dismissed.” The Hokage commanded and the gennin assemble made they're way out. “Okay after I here your report, I have need to talk to Renaz alone is that clear.” Both ninja present nodded.

“Good I have some questions for you too.” Renaz said in an equally authoritative voice.

Naruto was in a funk because every time he got close to asking his questions to Renaz, there was a disturbance or distraction to get in his way. It doesn't make any sense `if he does know me how come I don't know him.' Naruto though, `Maybe he's like Iruka-sensei and because he is like me doesn't want me do go through that.' Then insight hit Naruto like a sack of bricks. `Iruka-sensei is a chunin too and about the same age, well maybe a bit older but still, maybe he can tell me something about Renaz.'

It took Naruto about an hour to find him, and at of all places the academy, it was about nine o'clock when he did. “Iruka-sensei, Iruka-sensei!” Naruto shouted at his mentor.

The chunin instructor turned to his former pupil. “Oh, hey Naruto what are you doing here so late?”

Not knowing how to fraise the question he decided to just blurt it out in like he usually does. “Iruka-sensei can you tell me about Renaz?”

Iruka looked surprised. “Oh so you remember him do you I'm surprise that was a long time ago and your memory was never all that good.”

To say Naruto was shocked would have been an understatement of a magnitude equivalent to an earthquake. “You mean I have met him before!?”

Iruka looked confused “So you don't remember him?” Naruto shock his head. “Then why ask about him all of a sudden?”

Naruto then began to tell about Renaz's return.

Kakashi had left some time ago and Renaz had asked Tsunade about her involvement with Naruto and she had told him everything.

“So that was everything, no lies?” Tsunade answered truthfully and Renaz believed her. “So the Rasengan huh, kinda ironic is you ask me but that answers my questions about Jiraiya.” Renaz started to laugh Tsunade, however, missed the joke. “All the sannin have something invested in the kid who has a worse mark then myself, yet two of the three want a better future for him.” Renaz seeing the look on her face stopped laughing. “Sorry anyway for how you treated is forgiven for how you treated Naruto, the same for Jiraiya.” Renaz looked once again serious. “So Lady Hokage you said you had a mission for me?”

“So he was found in that lab and now he's back.” Naruto nodded and Iruka looked at Naruto seriously. “I want to ask you something Naruto.” The blond ninja looked over at his friend and sensei. “Do you remember anything before you were four.”

Naruto looked over at his former instructor. “Let's see, I was picked on a lot, was ignored, and I was put into the hospital a couple of times.” Naruto was looking down at the ground now remembering the past. “I even remember waking up in the hospital once and not remembering how I got there, apparently I was beaten pretty good that time but before then not much.”

Iruka seemed to have a look on his face that looked as if he were searching for something then his head popped up. “What about your apartment Naruto, have you ever had to pay for your rent?”

Naruto looked at Iruka as if he had two heads. “Rent what do you mean?”

Iruka looked at Naruto amazed that even this had escaped his notice. “Naruto don't you know that everyone who lives in apartments has to pay rent haven't you ever pay your own rent.” Naruto shook his head and was now in a panic saying he has to pay thirteen years of back rent. “Calm down, calm down, if you hadn't paid your rent you would have been evicted.”

“Wait what does this have to do with me and Renaz.” Naruto said after finally getting back to normal.

Iruka shook his head. “I'm sorry Naruto but it is not my place to tell you, there is only two people that can do that.”

Naruto looked at Iruka impatience showing in his face. “Who, who, tell me Iruka-sensei I'll track them down myself if I have too.”

“The two people that can tell you those thing is Renaz and…” Iruka paused, possibly for effect. “You, Naruto.”

“So that's how things stand as of right now.” Lady Hokage finished relaying all information on the matter at hand. “And I already told you who I expect to participate.”

“I only have one thing to say” Renaz said suddenly succeeding in grabbing the sannin's attention. “When do I leave?”

So is it me or has this been turning into more of a Naruto main person fanfic, because if it has that has to change.

Also I am taking request on which Naruto characters you the readers would like to see if you guys respond quick enough I'll include said char.

Next chapter: Tsunade has a mission for several gennin. What is it, and who will participate?

Well how did everybody like chapter 5, people who liked this will be blessed by any and all things that like me… if only I could remember what or who they were, if any at all. Those who flame me, well who cares about you anyway. Well, R & R or punishment will come quick.
