Resurrected Hatred

Chapter 1: Comrades

 

Flashback

Run. Run, is all I can do. It hurts. Not only my shoulder hurts, but also my heart. He killed us. He killed my family, and my childhood innocence. I hate him. He killed as if it was entertainment. I'll kill him! That slaughterer. How could he? He's my brother! `ITACHI, WHY?!'

 

`To test my capacity.'

 

`That's it? So all those people had to die for one selfish excuse of yours?'

 

`Yes. I did it to strengthen Sharingan and harden my soul. Now you will die too, little brother.'

 

`I hate you and always will. This is hatred between brothers. When I come to destroy you, no one will interfere. No matter how dark the path is, I will obtain power. From now on I'm an avenger.'

 

Itachi raise a sword above his head and brought is down upon Sasuke's already wounded shoulder. Sasuke's world turned black as he fell to the ground, in front of Itachi's feet.

 

`Pathetic…'

 

End of Flashback

 

Sasuke woke up and looked around him. He was in the hospital, judging from the white curtains and blankets. So it wasn't just a nightmare. But how could the Uchiha survive? He looked at his shoulder, now thickly bandaged. A pink haired girl in a nurse uniform entered.

 

Her emerald eyes showed pity.

 

“How? How did I survive?” Sasuke asked.

 

“…”

 

“TELL ME!” Sasuke shoulder wound opened as he strained out those words from his throat. The girl quickly changed the bandages.

 

“You were very lucky. Tsunade-sama managed to heal you.”

 

“And my family?”

 

“I'm sorry…”

 

“Itachi, I'll kill you.” Sasuke stood up to leave but the girl pushed him back down.

 

“You can't leave! Your shoulder wound had not healed!”

 

“Why do you care?”

 

“…I… just do. Please, at least allow your wound to heal.”

 

“Beg me to.”

 

“Please! I-I beg you!”

 

Sasuke stared at her. Why does she care so much? Finally he said this one sentence. “I'm an avenger of my fallen clan.”

 

The girl gasped. “Please, I know your family was killed, but that doesn't mean you have to force yourself so hard. At this rate, you'll die before you get to see your accused person…let me help you. I'm Sakura Haruno.”

 

Sasuke did not even look at the girl. “Go away, I wish to be alone.”

 

The girl smiled with relief, but she then left to leave him alone with his thoughts. She closed the door gently and walked towards the next patient.

 

Sakura hugged herself as the in her mind her inner self shouted mentally, “CHA! That guy is so totally cute! I'm in love!”

 

 

A month or so later, Sasuke left the hospital. He was walking down the sidewalk when someone bumped into him. He looked at the person he bumped into. He had spiky blond hair and blue eyes.

 

“Sorry! Are you okay?” The boy asked.

 

“No, are you okay weakling?” Sasuke sneered.

 

“What are you talking about?” The boy became enrage within moments.

 

“You are not worthy of being in my presence. Get out of my way.”

 

“NO!”

 

“You are so full of yourself.”

 

“NO!”

 

“You should not be considered a ninja. When you can defend a person from being killed, then perhaps you are a ninja. When you are putting a monstrous organization into jeopardy, then you are a ninja. I'm not a ninja and I have the honor to admit it. But one day I will avenge my fallen clan and become the great shinobi that restored the Uchiha clan.”

 

“Heh. Then you better start looking at me with respect. I'm Naruto Uzamaki, the Hokage that never gives up, a great shinobi that will help people when they need a hand. Like you!”

 

“Don't waste my time.”

 

“Kage Bunshin Jutsu!” Five Narutos came to view. They encircled Sasuke. “Listen buster! You may not know this but I know how you feel. I don't have a family either, like you. People treat me like I'm lower than them or something. Others completely ignore me. It hurts! I don't want people to suffer like me! So drop the attitude. LET ME HELP YOU!”

 

“…”

 

I'll take that as a yes! I'll help you, uhh…”

 

“Sasuke Uchiha to you, Hokage Naruto Uzamaki.”

 

A grin if pride spread around Naruto's face as the two shook hands.
