Chapter 2: Sensei!

 

Author: Ok! This chapter is mostly meeting the staff of the ninja academy. The real journey should start in later chapters. I'm slow on updates because I have two stories to cover on at the same time. Be patient, remember, I am just starting up at fanfiction. It has only been 1 week!

 

The ninja academy was loud from all the chitchat of which sensei everyone wants to get and which people are wanted on their own teams. A clump of girls was crowded at the corner, surrounding the orphaned Uchiha. It could be heard from a distance what they were saying.

 

“He's so cute!”

 

“Back off, he's mine!”

 

“Shut up and get your own boy!”

 

All the other boys glared daggers at Sasuke for stealing `their girls' from them. Then voice gradually died away as Iruka-sensei entered the classroom with the list of the teams.

 

“First of, congratulations to all the graduated candidates. Now for the teams.” Iruka read the teams to everyone. “Team 7: Uzamaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke and Haruno Sakura. Your instructor will be Hatake Kakashi. That's all, you are dismissed.”

 

Sasuke watched at the corner of his eye as Naruto approached Iruka. He made out what they were saying.

 

“Iruka-sensei!”

 

“Ah, Naruto! I thought I would be seeing you soon. Look at how much you've grown. Those three years with Jiraiya aught to have taught you some advanced jutsus, show them to me!”

 

“One condition.”

 

“What?”

 

“Treat me to Ramen!”

 

“Uhh… you never change. Fine.”

 

“Ok! Let's go!”

 

Sasuke followed the two ninjas. He never expected a slack like Naruto to train with the legendary Jiraiya. He hid behind a tree as the other two entered a clearing.

“Rasenga!” A ball of concentrated air formed in Naruto's left palm. He aimed it at a tall tree and fired. The tree came down, quite easily. Sasuke's iris widened. Such chakra. Meanwhile, Naruto and Iruka were having another conversation, which Sasuke soon caught up on.

 

“Wow, Naruto. That was a very powerful offence attack!”

 

“You've seen nothing yet! Watch”

 

“Kage Bunshin Jutsu!” Countless Naruto's appeared. “Rasenga!” Each Naruto had the energy in their hands and let the attack hit its target. The surrounding trees fell, forcing Sasuke to back further away.

 

“Great combo Naruto!” Then one of Naruto's still existing clones gave a shout.

 

“Who's that guy over there?” Sasuke immediately made a run for it, but was outnumbered as Naruto created more clones. Sasuke fought of a lot but the clones keep multiplying. Finally, he scoffed and walked over to Naruto.

 

“Hey, it's Sasuke! What's up dude?!”

 

“Naïve fool…”

 

“Eh?”

 

“I saw your jutsus.”

 

“And…”

 

“And?”

 

“What did you think of them?”

 

“They're…okay.”

 

“Can you do them?”

 

“Don't rub it.”

 

 

Naruto scratched his head and laughed. “Ok! Now to business…” Naruto's tone sounded a lot more serious. “You owe me bowls of ramen.” He said, facing Iruka.

 

Iruka burst out laughing. “Alright. Want to come, Sasuke?”

 

“You're treating me as well.”

 

“Let's go…”

 

At the restaurant, Naruto quickly slurped up his four cowls of ramen. He sat back and relaxed. “Ah…”

 

Iruka smiled and then looked up to see a white haired ninja. “Ah! Kakashi, pleasure meeting you!”

 

“Yes, it is.”

“This is Naruto Uzamaki and Sasuke Uchiha. They are going to be your pupils soon.”

 

“I see.”

 

Naruto's eye twitched. What is this, a lazy slacker for a sensei? “Hey, you. You're going to be my sensei? I mean you look like an old man! And you act like one too.”

 

Iruka's eyes widened at that random comment. “Naruto, have some respect!”

 

Sasuke crossed his arms. “Naruto does have a good point you know…”

 

Kakashi grinned underneath his mask. “Hai, so why don't you introduce yourselves then.”

 

Naruto immediately spoke up. “ I'm Uzamaki Naruto. I like to eat ramen. I hate the three minutes you have to wait before you eat the ramen (sweatdrop). And my dream is to be a Hokage, so that everyone will acknowledge my existence respectfully at last. I mean, Iruka-sensei is nice and all, but I'm considered a dork or something to other people because of who I am. Once I become Hokage, they will treat me with dignity!”

 

“I am Sasuke Uchiha. I don't particularly like anything or anyone. I hate a lot of things, and my goal is to restore my clan… also to kill a certain somebody.”

 

“Interesting.”

 

A group of girls approached. “Ah! Sasuke-kun!”

 

Sasuke sent a weird look at the girl before standing up and saying, “Got to run.”

 

 

Author: There you go, the first chapter. I've got some complains on mediaminer that the chapters are kind of boring. I'm sorry, but the action is towards the middle and end. If you action soon, then review and give me suggestions.
