Return to Silent Hill
Chapter 1
Nightmares of Silent Hill
Itachi came to and slowly opened his dark brown eyes. He was in a pitch-black room and could barely see inches in front of himself. He tried to stand but didn't budge. This is about the point Itachi realized he was tied to the chair. His arms twisted behind him and cuffed together. Each ankle was secured to each of the front legs of the chair.
He didn't panic even though his heart was racing frantically. What the hell was going on here? He tried to break his legs from the ropes tied around him, but the knots were too secure. He heard voices but they were too muffled to make out the words clearly. He knew he was in Silent Hill. He just didn't know if it was another nightmare of reality.
Suddenly the room was filled with light from the hall, forcing Itachi to squint from the brightness. An elder women and a young man entered the room with huge grins on their faces. This made Itachi uneasy. He had seen the man a few times in his previous nightmares. Wherever this man was, Itachi was doomed for pain.
“Finally the ritual will be completed. We've waited so long for this day.”
“Yes. It took us a long time to find you, Itachi Uchiha. But we did and now we can have what is rightfully ours.” The man said with a sinister laugh.
“What are you talking about?” Itachi growled as he watched the man move closer.
“Your eyes, Itachi. That is what we are talking about.” The man whispered harshly as he reached up and buried his hand deep in Itachi's ponytail.
Itachi gritted his teeth against the pain as he glared up at his assaulter. He was going to retort, but stopped short when he felt the man pry open his right eye. Now he started to panic as he felt the fingers dig into his sockets. He tried to move out of the man's grasp, but he was too weak. Which he knew wasn't true. He was stronger then everyone in his school, because he had taking lessons in Martial arts and was the top student in his class.
Why was it now he couldn't get away from this man? Why did he feel so helpless and powerless? He felt the fingers bite further into his flesh. The pain was unbearable, but Itachi was able to hold back from crying out loud. His body was shaking furiously from the shock of the situation. The burning was left in place of the fingers. He could feel his own blood running down his cheek and pooling into his partly open mouth as he panted hard.
He could see the man place his eye in the women's out stretched hands and he felt like puking. He was screaming at himself to wake up, to do something to end this nightmare, praying that it was only a dream. The man came toward him again, reaching out to get his other eye.
Wake up, damnit! Itachi screamed to himself.
He sat up in bed with sweat pouring off his chin as it slid down his temples. His eyes scanned the bedroom taking in everything familiar and comforting. He let his shaken body fall back down on the mattress as he stared at the ceiling trying to collect him self.
He moved his head to face the alarm clock. Six thirty am. He had a doctor appointment at eight fifteen and his best friend Hayate would be here at seven thirty to get him. This was the fifth doctor he was going to see. The last four had told him there was nothing wrong, he was probably just stressed out, but Itachi knew better.
It had been over two months and he had managed to have a nightmare every single night revolving around Silent Hill. He maybe got a total of two hours of sleep a night if he was lucky. He lifted his feet over the edge of the bed and sat up. He placed his head in his hands and rubbed the heel against his eyes. This is why he never wanted to sleep.
He rose to his feet and made his way into the kitchen in only boxers. He turned the coffee maker on and went to cheek his cell phone. There was a text message from Hayate. He pushed the receive button and the message flashed on the screen.
Couldn't sleep. Coming over early. Get that coffee brewing.
“Beat you to it.” Itachi said to the silent kitchen as he snapped his phone shut placing it back on the counter.
He sauntered back into his room as he stretched, hearing a couple of satisfying pops in his back. He opened his closest, pulling out some black leather pants and fishnet shirt with a built in tank top. He changed into new boxers. He changed into new boxers and quickly got dressed. He was just pulling out his calf high black boots when the doorbell rang.
He exited his room and dropped his boots in his entryway as he opened the door. Hayate stood there in baggy blue jeans and a World of Warcraft shirt with a black zip up hoody over. Itachi refrained from rolling his eyes and walked back into the kitchen leaving Hayate to shut the door.
“You like you didn't get any sleep last night.” Hayate commented as he followed the younger man into the kitchen.
“I didn't. What little sleep I did get, was nightmares of my eyes getting plucked out of my head.” Itachi answered bitterly.
Hayate looked startled and watched Itachi as the man poured two mugs of coffee. This was the first time, Hayate had actually heard of Itachi getting harmed in one of his reoccurring dreams. This concerned Hayate greatly, because it was affecting Itachi a lot. Even though the boy acted like nothing was wrong. Hayate could tell by the body language.
Itachi handed the coffee to him and they both sat down at the table. The clock read seven fifteen, so they weren't in any big rush. Itachi lazily looked out the window, as the day grew light. Another bright sunny day. He was going to need his sunglasses. He ran a hand through his long ebony locks as he took another sip of coffee.
“It seems each time you have these nightmares they seem to be getting worse.”
“Took you long enough.” Itachi retorted sarcastically.
“I think maybe we should think about going to Silent Hill and see if we can find out anything there, since the doctors are stupid.” Hayate continued ignoring Itachi's mood.
He was always like this when he didn't get enough sleep, which was at least twelve hours. Since he was getting practically none, he was even more irritable. Not a good thing at all. Itachi usually had a lot of patience but when he snapped it was never pretty sight.
Itachi thought about Hayate's suggestion as he looked back out the window. He had also thought about going to Silent Hill on many occasions, but his dreams always stopped him. If he found the things in his dreams at this unknown town. He didn't know what he would do. Furthermore, after the dream last night, he could officially say he was scared to go to this isolated town.
He knew he needed to do something. These dreams were slowly driving him insane and he was starting to hallucinate everywhere he went. He gave a heavy sigh and turned to face his best friend's concerned look. He wasn't the only one suffering from this either, apparently Hayate was starting to lose sleep over it too.
“Let's see what the doctor says and it it's the same thing, we'll get some stuff together for a trip to Silent Hill.” Itachi stated, reluctantly.
Hayate made a sound of relief and Itachi ignored it as he finished off his coffee. He rose from the table and walked out of the kitchen, putting his mug in the sink on the way. He pulled his boots on and laced them up, before pulling the material of his pants down over them.
He spaced out momentarily as he stared at the door in silence. In his mind 's eye, he saw a young girl. She looked the same age as him. She had shoulder length black hair up in pigtail braids. Her eyes were the most stunning color of lavender and her luscious lips were tilted up in a beautiful smile that lit up her whole face. Suddenly the image was gone. He shook his head confused. What was that all about? He had never seen that girl in his life or his dreams for that matter.
“Itachi? Are you okay?” Hayate asked attentively from behind him.
Itachi nodded as he slowly stood up on unsteady legs. That was the first time something like that had ever happen to him. It felt like a vision. It felt like something that was yet to happen, but in the near future. God, he really was fucked up. He really needed to stop going to doctors and start seeing a psychiatrist. He could very well be going insane.
They exited out of the house. Itachi grabbed his leather coat on the way. He had finished pulling his jacket on by the time they made it to the bottom of the stairs. Hayate was in front of him by a foot. The older man raised his key, hitting a button. The alarm disengaged on the green mustang. Itachi slipped on his sunglasses as he climbed in.
They made their way downtown in a comfortable silence. Both of them lost in their own complicated thoughts, but thinking relatively about the same thing. Itachi was sightless to the scenery. He was actually thinking about the random girl.
Who was she? What part did she play in all this? Why would he have a vision of a girl he had never met before? Why did he have such urgency in his chest to find her? Why was she suddenly so important to him? These were all the questions flying through his mind as Hayate parked the car.
He forced his mind back to the present as he got out of the car. He made his way inside the building walking up the reception desk. He glanced at the clock. Right on time, like always. He hated being late to anything.
“I'm here for an eight fifteen appointment with Dr. Hyuga.”
“I need you to fill this out and then take it back with you when you're called in.”
Itachi took the papers, grabbing a pen on as he made his way over to Hayate. He sat down, glaring at the papers as if they were the devil themselves. He had to fill out so many of these damn things. He was ready to pull his hair out. He didn't want to deal with any more paperwork, which was part of the reason he decided to go to Silent Hill.
He quickly scribbled out the information, not caring if it was legible or not. He tossed the clipboard down on the coffee table and then leaned back closing his eyes as he rested his head on the wall. Bad idea on his part, because there was a flash of a darkened room. Blood was leaking down the wall in fountains, gathering at the floor in large puddles. Bodies scattered the ground, mutated and mangled. All shredded up with their entrails lying outside of their bodies littering the floor. This is what flashed through his mind. His eyes snapped open to stare at the fish tank across from him.
What the fuck was wrong with him today? In the two months since this had started the nightmares had never followed him into his waking hours. Now he was suddenly having visions of pretty girls and clips of his dreams flashing through his head. Why were his nightmares bleeding into his daytime activities? Why did it feel like something really big was going on and he played a big part in it?
Hayate suddenly jabbed him hard in the side with an elbow. Itachi grunted in surprised pain. He turned to glare at the man to say a few choice words, but his name was called from the nurse by the doorway leading into the back rooms. Itachi moved to his feet gracefully as he grabbed the papers. He disappeared with the nurse, leaving Hayate alone in the waiting room.
Itachi entered the room the nurse indicated for him. The women took the papers from him as he moved to the bed. She looked them over, writing little notes on them. She asked him a series of questions and he spat out answers growing more impatient. She moved forward to take his blood pressure.
“God damnit, women. Don't fucking touch me. Just get me the fucking doctor now!” He yelled as he swatted the equipment away with the back of his hand.
The nurse was startled to say the least. She quickly left the room in fear of her life. Itachi was use to it. He threw off an intense aura that frightened everyone including his best friend. He just ignored it and stared down at his feet waiting for the doctor.
After about ten minutes of waiting, the doctor came strolling in. Itachi raised an eyebrow in surprise as he watched the man sit down. Itachi wondered if he had scared the nurse so badly that they decided to get him seen and out as quickly as possible. Not like he was complaining, the sooner the better.
“You freaked the nurse out pretty badly. Are you usually a violent man?” The doctor asked not looking up from his clipboard.
“Only when it's needed.” Itachi responded.
That got the doctor's attention. He looked up at Itachi in surprise, placing the pen down on the counter. Itachi watched him with expressionless eyes. He was expecting the doctor to reprimand him, but it never came. Instead, the man rose to his feet and pulled out a flashlight. He leaned over to look in Itachi's eyes. Itachi reframed from flinching even though it was very hard.
“So we got the results back from your CAT scan and there in nothing wrong with you, Mr. Uchiha.” Itachi pulled away from the doctor so he could glare at him.
“Well, it fucking lies. Just this morning I woke up from my eyes being plucked from my goddamn head as I was told that they were needed to complete a ritual. I'm now living the nightmare as I'm doing every day activities. These dreams are seeping into my daily life. There is definitely something wrong with me.”
“Sir, calm down -“
“Calm down!” Itachi growled cutting off the doctor in mid-sentence. He leaned in so he was inches away from the other man's face. “What the hell do our taxes pay you pathetic fools for? To pretend you know what you're talking about, but in reality, you have no fucking clue what's going on at all. That's okay…” Itachi paused as he glanced down at the man's nametag. “Dr. Hyuga, you believe whatever you fucking need too to clear your conscious. While you're busy doing that, I'll be doing your fucking job and figuring out what the hell is going on.” Itachi hissed and then stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind him.
All the doctor office staff looked at him startled. He ignored them all as he made his way out to the lobby. Hayate was already standing by the front doors waiting for him. They exited the building and put their glasses on in unison as Hayate released the locks on his car. Hayate glanced over at his irate friend.
“Silent Hill?”
“Yes. I want to be on our way by noon.” Itachi said flatly, as he climbed into his car.
Hayate dropped Itachi off at his house so he could start packing. Itachi entered his house and went to his room, pulling his suitcase out of his closest. He grabbed two extra pairs of pants and four extra shirts. He wasn't planning on staying long. Just enough time to figure out what was going on with himself so that he was able to go on with his life without being haunted by this damn town.
He packed some boxers and socks, throwing them into the small compartment. He tossed in his hairbrush and made his way to the bathroom. He gathered up his bathroom stuff throwing the items into a bath bag. He zipped it as he entered back into his room and threw the thing in his case. He rummaged through his shirts till he found the one he was looking for.
He pulled off the one he was wearing and tossed it into the hamper. He slipped on the new one as he made his way to the mirror. He buckled the belt at his bicep. There was a nice gap of flesh exposed before the rest of the material covered his arm down to his wrist.
He them buckled the next belt that was on the right side of his shirt just below his ribs, then did up the last one that was five inches under the previous one. He then took the red hair tie off his dresser and banded his soft black locks at the nape of his neck. His bangs still fell gracelessly in his face, but he didn't really care. He liked it that way no matter what Hayate said.
He opened his bottom dresser drawer pulling out two of his favorite sweaters and tossed them into his case. He slipped his jacket back on and closed his baggage. He carried it into the entryway and set it by the door. He glanced at his watch. He had enough time to eat something before Hayate showed up.
He moved to the kitchen. He opened up the fridge and rummaged through it. He decided to make a ham sandwich. He pulled out everything he needed. He stared at the bread as he counted out two slices. He grabbed four instead. He figured Hayate would be hungry too.
After he made them, he put everything away and turned to the sink faucet to wash the silverware he used. Where water was supposed to be, blood came pouring out in a thick stream. Itachi dropped what he had in his hands as he stared at it horrified.
Suddenly, pain exploded through his head and he was forced to bend over clenching at his temples. Voices echoed through out his mind, both male and female. They grew more distorted with each passing moment. He was brought to his knees as the floor came rushing up to meet him and that's how Hayate found him.
TBC-
Kitty- I started playing Silent Hill games over again with my best friend. Getting psyched for the new Silent Hill game coming out. We got into this huge conversation on what would happen if Itachi was sucked into the world of Silent Hill. Therefore, I decided to start a story and this is what I came up with. Unfortunately, it's not an Uchihacest fic. In fact, it is a straight fic with original characters. If you don't like then don't read. If I find that not many people care for it, I'll probably discontinue it. However, I wanted to give it a shot and see what people thought so review and tell me if you're interested to know about the rest of the storyline. It will mostly revolve around Itachi Uchiha.
