Hey! I was kind of inspired so I decided to do the chapter 2 now. I'm making a jump to six years forward, after the Chuunin Exams but before Sasuke's departure. If you have any suggestions or comments, I would be pleased to hear them! Thanks!

6 years later…

 

Today was the Third Hokage's funeral. Every ninja in the village was going, showing the importance of Sandaime. After Orochimaru's invasion with the Sand Village, everybody in Rookie 9 has changed. Naruto took it very badly. He wasn't playing any pranks anymore, wasn't talking to Sakura and didn't even bother at Sasuke. He stayed most of time in his home.

 

Naruto got out of his house in a black shirt, black pants and his headband attached to his neck. He took his white flower, to put it on top of Sarutobi's coffin. It was cloudy, like if the sky was in grief, too. He walked at a slow pace to the Hokage's Tower, where the funeral was going to take place. Naruto was sure that all of this was his fault. He was sure that everything that happened, from Sasuke's near-death at the bridge to Konoha's invasion, was his fault. Naruto approached the Hokage Tower, and Sakura took him out of his thoughts.

 

`'Hey'' said Sakura, with a sad and low tone to her tone.

 

Naruto looked at her and managed a faint smile. She was wearing a black t-shirt, and a black skirt. She didn't her headband on her. She held her flower in her hand tightly. They started to walk to the funeral, silent.

On the way, they met Sasuke, who was wearing similar clothes than his friends. He had his headband attached to his left arm and had his flower in his right hand. They all walked together to the funeral, finding their comrades and sensei wearing the same style of clothing than them.

They joined Kakashi, who was in the middle-front. Sakura looked at Ino, who was at her right. Sakura gave a bare smile, which was returned by Ino. Naruto was amazed at the fact that the two girls putted aside their rivalry for the funeral. Ino and Sakura were comparable to Gai and Kakashi, or even Naruto and Sasuke for their rivalry. Kakashi then moved to go the front. Naruto was surprised that his sensei wanted to say something, as Kakashi being known for his silent attitude with other Jounins. The copy-ninja shrugged.

 

`'We are all here today to give Sarutobi our last messages. But, before that, I have a little something to say.'' Kakashi said. Naruto lifted his eyes to look at his sensei.

 

`'As we all know, The Third Hokage had to come back as Hokage because of the Fourth's death. A lot of people objected to this, because of his age. But the day of Orochimaru's invasion with the Sand, he proved us that…'' Kakashi's voice began to faint.

Naruto saw the lips of his sensei moving like he was talking, but no sounds came out of his mouth. Naruto looked at Sakura, who looked at she was listening. He then looked at Sasuke, who was listening to what Kakashi was saying. Naruto's view began to turn black and white. Naruto didn't understood what was happening. He had a sense of vertigo, everything was spinning…

He saw Sakura slowly turning her face to look at him, with concern on her face. Everything was now moving 10 times slower. He then looked at Sasuke, who was still looking at Kakashi. Naruto began to lose balance then, he passed out.

`'Where am I?'' thought Naruto as he looked around him. He was in a giant room. In front of him, there was a giant gate, with a seal on the lock. There was water on the ground, and the walls were so high Naruto couldn't see the top of it.

He looked back at the gate and saw two giant eyes looking at him. Naruto got scared and felled on his butt.

 

`'You finally came.'' said Kyuubi.

`'… Kyuubi... How? And, why?'' Naruto asked, scared.

 

`'It was time you came'' said Kyuubi, showing his face. He was a giant fox, and he was smiling, showing his giant teeth.

`'I needed to talk to you''finished the demon.

 

`'And you took me in a time like this? It's the Third's funeral! And how the hell can you talk to me? Wait… It was you who made me lose control of myself like that ?''

asked Naruto.

 

`'Am I dead?'' asked the young ninja, scared of what the demon might answer.

`'No, you are not dead, you just passed out.'' stated Kyuubi.

`' And I took you now because you were so concentrated on the old man dead there that I could access your brain to talk to you. I can talk to you because I am sealed in your body and yes, it was me who made you pass out.''

 

`'You made me pass out to talk to me?'' asked Naruto, frustrated.

 

`'Uh… Yeah! Anyway… You remember that night, 6 years later ?

 

Naruto gaze got blank. Images came back to him, passing in his brain so fast, he wanted to throw up. Tears came to his eyes, as he remembered what the ninjas did to him.

 

`'That night… You saved me…'' said Naruto, with a shocked voice.

 

`'Indeed I saved you.'' said Kyuubi, as a-matter-of-fact.

`'Think about it; you are a demon container, I am a demon. If you die, I die. So, I injected some chakra into your body to make your wound heal faster. I didn't do this to save you because I liked you; I just saved myself from dying. Simple.''

 

Naruto lowered his head. The day he knew that Kyuubi saved him from dying from that kunai attack, he was thinking that maybe someone was caring for him. No. Kyuubi was only saving his sorry ass from dying.

`'So, you don't give a shit about me? screamed Naruto.

`'That's pretty much it.''answered Kyuubi, again with his normal tone.

`'You fucking shit!'' screamed Naruto, as he ran to the gate, which looked so far from him now.

 

Kyuubi laughed as Naruto felt as a lightning just past through him. The young demon container screamed in pain as he felled to his knees, holding his head in his hands.

Kyuubi released another shock, but in a different way that the previous one. This one was making Naruto getting up to his feet. Naruto screamed in pain again.

 

`'Stop it !'' screamed Naruto as the lightning stopped.

 

`'Now, I will talk, and you will listen.'' said Kyuubi.

 

 

Muahaha ! Cliff-hanger ! I should post the next chapter tomorrow or in two days, I don't know. Oh and again, sorry for the small chapter. I'll do a bigger one for Chapter 3, but I will release it only in two days or more.
