Sorry for the long waiting for this chapter! I had a lot of exams these times… I'll make it up for that chapter!

The lemon-o-meter says: 0 out of five. There is no lemon in this chapter.

Naruto slowly opened his eyes, to see darkness. It was really dark inside his house, since it was night. He silently moved his head to look on his alarm clock. 5:32 AM.
Naruto sighed and got up his bed. He moved to his closet, where he took himself a sky blue t-shirt and some dark blue jeans. He went for his headband, but his hand stopped in the movement. He moved to his living room, where he took his kunais and his shurikens, then went to the door.

He opened it and got outside. It was dark, but he could still see a little bit. He walked into the silent and desert streets of Konoha, and headed to Team 7's Training Ground.
He needed to train hard to beat Kakashi. He needed to develop new ninjutsu techniques and to train his taijutsu moves. Since he was fighting against Kakashi, who had the Sharingan, he couldn't rely on genjutsu. He finally arrived in fronts of the Konoha Gate, stopped as he felt someone was watching him, but quickly washed away that though as he passed the gates, entering the forest.

He walked in the forests splitting Konoha and the Training Grounds.
He was going to miss Sakura if she was off the village for two months.

He finally arrived at the Training Ground. He unpacked his kunais, made ten clones, and began to train.
He kicked and punched the clones, while trying to upgrade his kunais techniques. He wasn't really good at aiming, so his shots weren't that great.
The young demon container created more clones and tackled them.
He really needed to get better. He wanted to get Chuunin, he wanted to do this mission, and most importantly, he wanted to be with Sakura.

After defeating the last clones, he fell on his butt, tired.

“I think I'm pushing myself too hard…” thought Naruto as he wiped his sweat off his forehead.
Suddenly, he heard a noise. He took his kunai and placed himself in a defensive position. Who wanted to follow him at this hour?

He heard some noise and turned his head at the source of it. He saw some bushes moving, and finally, someone got out of it.

“Sakura?” said Naruto as he watched his girlfriend getting out of the bushes.

“Naruto…” said Sakura, watching her boyfriend, all sweaty.
She had some naughty thoughts, but quickly washed away those.

“Why are you training so early?” asked Sakura.

Naruto stayed silent.

“Refuse the challenge. You can't beat Kakashi-sensei.” said Sakura with a sad tone.
“He's a Jounin.” continued the young kunoichi.

Naruto lowered his head. Sakura was right. He couldn't beat a Jounin. This was non-sense.

“Come home, Naruto.” said Sakura.

Naruto started to follow her, only to be stopped as he felt sharp pain in his left arm. He looked at Sakura to see her face covered by blood, his blood.
He turned his head to face his opponent, but saw only a glimpse of it as the enemy made a low kick to him. He fell on his back.

Sakura placed herself in an offensive position and rushed to her enemy.
The enemy was dressed all in black, revealing only his mouth.
She rushed to him, preparing to punch him. As her punch reached his face, he stopped it at the last moment with his left hand. With his other hand, he punched Sakura's stomach. She fell on her knees, but as she prepared herself to do a low kick to the enemy, he kicked her, making her fall on her back.
The opponent took his katana and attacked Sakura.

The pink-haired kunoichi closed her eyes, waiting her death.
She then heard a deep sound, and she felt hot liquid on her face and neck.
She opened her eyes to see the face of Naruto, blood seeping out of his mouth. A katana was getting out of his upper chest.

Tears formed on the young kunoichi's eyes. Sakura began to cry, tears falling down her blood-covered cheeks.

“Why did you do that? Why? Why?!” screamed the young kunoichi, her blood mixed tears falling out of her face.

Naruto smiled weakly as his vision blurred.

He heard an electricity-like noise, but then everything blurred to a point where he simply couldn't see.

He heard Sakura's scream and a familiar voice trying to talk to him. Naruto couldn't hear too. Tons of thoughts passed in his head.

“Am I really going to die?”
“Will I survive?”
“Why do we get attacked?”

He fell his body fall on the ground, the katana moving out of the wound.
He felt his blood getting out of his body, slowly. He didn't felt pain anymore; he couldn't feel anything anymore. He slowly closed his eyes, hearing a scream, fading.
Everything went black.

Naruto opened his eyes. He was, once again, in his mind, in front of Kyuubi's cage.
He fell vibrations as Kyuubi poofed in front of him. She was wearing the last clothes as the last time they saw each other. Only this time, she looked pissed.

“What are you doing?” said the demon.
“Because of you, I'll have to use my youki!” said Kyuubi as she took Naruto by the collar.

Do you understand what this means?!?” screamed Kyuubi as she shook Naruto like a rag doll.

Naruto stayed silent. Kyuubi stopped shaking him.

“I'll guess I'll have to explain it, then.” said the demon.
“Youki is demon chakra. It's ten times stronger than normal chakra. When you tap into my chakra, well, you tap into my youki, making you stronger. When a tail appears on you, the youki is getting stronger. When you have more than four tails, the youki takes over you weak little mind, letting me take decisions.” said Kyuubi with a teacher voice.

Now, restoring youki is harder than restoring normal chakra.” continued the demon.

“It takes a lot of effort for the demon doing it, and I, won't do it for free.” said Kyuubi with an evil grin on her face.

Naruto got scared. He didn't know what this damned fox could do.

Naruto was going to say something, but felt a strange sensation in his body and he fell to the ground, screaming in pain.

Everything was black. Again. He didn't know if he was alive or not. It didn't scare him; he knew Kyuubi would help him. At what price? He didn't really know.

“Did I regain consciousness?” asked Naruto to himself.

Feeling flowed back into his body. He could feel his chest wound, he could feel the air around him, he could feel everything.
He heard far and dimmed voices, like if they were talking one kilometre off of him.

Naruto finally opened his eyes to see Sakura, crying over him.
He slowly and painfully turned his head to see Sasuke, looking at him with concern. He also saw Kakashi, looking at him with a sad face.
He turned his head to see that he was in a bed. But not any kind of bed. Naruto gasped. He was in a coffin! He looked at his teammates with shock.
Was he dead?

Suddenly, his teammates were out of his vision as his view smartened. He then realised he was getting down the hole.
He heard a loud noise, and then the door of the coffin closed. He was in the dark again.
Panic rolled over him. He wasn't dead!

“Guys! Help! Help!” screamed Naruto at the top of his lungs.

Tears began to form in his eyes and sliding down his cheeks. He was scared. He began to cry loudly.
Tears were now raining down his face. Sakura, Sasuke, Kakashi-sensei… They thought he was dead.
He wasn't dead.
He wasn't dead.

He wasn't dead.

Naruto woke up in shock, screaming.
His eyes flew open, and light hit his retina. The sudden lighting made him see weirdly first, but after a second, everything went back to normal.

A sharp pain made him fall back into the bed he was in. The bed! He looked at his surroundings, to finally recognize the place he was in. The hospital. Again.

He then remembered the battle, the talk with Kyuubi, and… his own death.
Panic set in, but quickly washed away as he realised he was still alive.

“Was it all a dream?” thought Naruto.

At Sakura's House…

Sakura thought about what happened two days ago. She was still greatly shocked of what happened there and Naruto's protection for her.
She realised Naruto was always there when she needed help, he was always there to protect her from everything.

She decided to go see Naruto at the Konoha Hospital. She needed to make sure he was okay. She didn't even go see him since he was in the hospital.

She was too much shocked by what happened.
She got up from her bed and went to get her clothes. She took her usual red dress with black shorts. She then got down her stairs to go put her shoes on.
She took her shoes and got outside.

It was a cloudy day in Konoha. She walked towards the hospital, crossing several of her friends. They all knew for Naruto so they didn't really talk about that.

On the way, she crossed Ino and Shikamaru.

“Hey, Sakura.” said Ino, with a small smile.

Shikamaru only did a faint smile. Even if he was lazy as hell, he did bother for his friends. Naruto never was one of his greatest friends, but Shikamaru respected every one of his friends like if they were his brother.

“What are you doing, Sakura?” asked Ino with a curious smile.

“I'm going to see Naruto.” said Sakura.

Ino's smile went off.

“Can we come with you?” asked Ino.

“Sure.” answered the pink-haired kunoichi.

So they all went to the Konoha hospital.

Once they arrived, they headed for Naruto's room, only to be blocked by a nurse.

“He's under treatment right now. I'm sorry.” said the nurse with concern on her face.
“But, it will be over in about 15 minutes. If you want to stay, please go in the waiting room.” continued the nurse.

Sakura nodded and headed to the waiting room, followed by her friends.

Once arrived in the waiting room, they sat on some chairs there and silent installed. Nobody talked for several minutes.
Suddenly, Kakashi opened the door of the waiting room, entering.

“Kakashi-sensei.” said Sakura, still sadness in her tone.

Kakashi walked to a chair in front of Sakura and sat down.

“I'm coming to see Naruto too. I heard about what happened.” said Kakashi.
“I'm surprised Sasuke's not here. He saved both of you, that day.” continued the copy Nin.

Silence installed once again.

Sakura began to sob quietly. Ino remarked it and put a confident hand on her shoulders, whispering that everything was going to be alright.

Kakashi went uncomfortable. He couldn't stand this.

“Sakura.” said Kakashi.

Sakura raised her head. Her cheeks were all wet with tears.

“Don't worry.” continued the Sharingan user.

A nurse got in the room.

“You can now go visit Naruto, he finished the treatments.” said the nurse.
