Search for my Soul-mate
Part I
The rain continued to pour outside her hospital room window. The wind howled loudly, causing the leaves in the trees to ruffle around madly. The dark clouds covered the sky and it seemed impossible that the sun would ever show behind the thick, almost pitch black veil again. The weather had very much depicted what she had been feeling right at that moment: coldness, darkness, loneliness.
How would they know? Her mind repeated the phrase over and over inside her head. How would they all know what it was like?
Over course, she never said this out loud. After all, she was sweet, little Hyuuga Hinata. No one would ever dream of her saying something like that. The again, no one would ever dream of something like that happening to her either.
“They” would all come in with their flowers and little boxes of chocolates, looks of concern on their faces and state “It's alright, Hinata. I know exactly how you feel.” Hinata, in return, would plaster a fake smile on her face, accept the gift, and thank them profusely. But on the inside, she almost resented these visitors. Yeah, they knew exactly how she felt. Like hell flowers and chocolate would help her get through this.
When the news had spread around that this happened to Hinata, everyone was quite shocked indeed. They could never imagine that such a terrible thing could happen to such a sweet little girl. Even the best and kindest people can have bad stuff happen to them…
Even sweet little Hyuuga Hinata can get raped.
Hinata turned her head and looked out the window. Maybe, for the first time in a few days, no one would come to visit her. All they did was, truth be told, annoy her. They'd casually ask “So, Hinata, what exactly happened?” without any regard to how she felt retelling the incident. And of course, she'd succumb to their requests like the good, obedient girl she was and not only retell the tale, but almost relive it to. Hinata could feel the pain, the sadness, the blinding rage she had felt every time she told the story, and when she was done, she was huddled over, arms wrapped tightly around her chest and silent tears pouring down from her pale face. And of course, the visitor who had been listening would just get up and leave her like that, returning to their perfect little lives. But did Hinata ever complain about it? Did she ever complain all that much?
Hinata took several deep breaths and held her hand over her heart. It pained her just to think about it. But really, it was hard not to let her mind wander to the event that happened three nights ago…
The weather was much like it had been the last few days: gloomy and cold. Training had gone on rather late, and Hinata was heading home as quickly as her worn out body allowed her to. She was afraid of darkness in general. She had heard many stories about creepy people and perverts who would target young, un-expecting girls in the middle of the night, and she wasn't about to take that chance by staying out late. But then again, Hinata thought it was very unlikely for her to be one of those young, un-expecting girls.
She quickened her pace as she walked past a curb where a few older men with the strong scent of sake hanging over them were standing. Hinata looked to the ground and gulped as she passed by them…or at least, try to past by them. She gasped and her heart started to pound as she felt one of the mean tightly grab a hold of her arm.
“Hey man.” The guy slurred, obviously drunk. “She looks weak enough, neh? Maybe we can get some fun outta her!”
“Heh heh heh…” One of the other two men took a step towards Hinata. “What do ya say? Maybe fuck her three or four times a piece?”
The rest it was a bit foggy in her mind, but Hinata could remember being pushed up against the brick wall of a nearby building and having her clothes being ripped away from her body. Even though she pleaded and begged and screamed and cried, the monsters just laughed and scoffed at her and continued with their sick form of entertainment…
Around half an hour or so later, Hinata's body filled with pain, not only physically, but emotionally too. Why wouldn't someone help here? Couldn't anyone hear her cries for help?
Someone…anyone…
One of the men suddenly turned away from Hinata. “Who the hell are you?”
HInata slowly looked up with tear-filled eyes. What? Had someone actually come? Was someone actually going to save her?
“Pathetic.” Hinata heard a new voice, a deep, sober voice…a familiar voice. “How could you even live with yourselves after doing that to a poor innocent girl?”
In the next few moments, the drunken men lay on the ground, beaten to a pulp by this newcomer…this… hero… Hinata squinted her eyes and tried to see this man who had saved her, but unfortunately with the darkness and the tears in her eyes, all she saw was a dark figure. The figure bent down and slowly lifted Hinata up.
“Are you okay?”
That voice…it was just so…familiar…
“Ugh…” Hinata shook her head and tried to stay awake in the strong arms of the person. She desperately wanted to get even just a glimpse of their face. But a few seconds later, everything went black and HInata fainted in their arms.
Hinata felt her hands shake as the memory snaked its way into her mind. That was the only person she wanted to see. Not the visitors. Not her teammates. Not even the doctors.
She wanted to see him.
He was her hero.
He was her savior.
And for some strange reason, it felt like he was…
Her soul mate.
