Rude Awakenings

 

"Where's Sasuke!" was they shout that brought Taka out of her dose right before she was grabbed and pulled up by the front of her kimono by a very upset Naruto.

 

Taka looked down into glowing red eyes as the fox vessel bared elongated fangs at her and his grown claws dug into the cloth of her kimono.

 

"Wh...What are you talking about?" Taka strained out as she moved her head to look over toward the hospital bed to see it empty, a pair of crutches from behind the door missing. 'Stubborn fool.' she thought as she looked back down at the enraged Naruto. "He appears to be using what little strength he has to move out. If you let me go I'll have him before anyone else knows he has left." she said as she tried to pry the claws of the vessel from her ripping kimono.

 

"You will take me to him." Naruto growled the order.

 

"He will not be willing, I think. He runs from you." Taka replied as she tried to feel for how far from the ground her feet were.

 

"I don't care. You will lead me to him." Naruto smirked as she let Taka drop to her feet in front of the chair she had just so abruptly vacated.

 

"Hai, Hokage-sama." Taka replied as she bowed to a now stunned Naruto and collected her katana from the chair.

 

"Wait. Why did you call me that?" Naruto asked as he came more back to himself.

 

Taka stopped by the door and mused about that a second before answering. "You exude the air of a leader, I guess. But if you want to find the Uchiha before he hurts himself then I would recommend haste." Taka stated as she left the room.

 

"Oh right!" and Naruto was off after her.

 

It did not take long for Taka to locate the awol Sasuke. She already knew where he was. They found him just outside of the hospital off into the trees slightly, laying back against one of trees. His crutches off to one side, forgotten.

 

"Please wait here Naruto-san. I will speak to him first." Taka requested with a bow.

 

"What?! Why?!" Naruto shouted.

 

"You can get over here. I'm not deaf." Sasuke snapped.

 

Naruto almost instantly rushed over to where the Uchiha was trying to pull himself up the tree.

 

'Ah damn.' was what Taka thought as she followed after.

 

"Teme! What the hell do you think you're trying to do?!" Naruto instantly snapped at the dark haired boy.

 

"What does it look like dobe." Sasuke snapped back.

 

"Trying to kill yourself!" Naruto growled as he pushed Sasuke up against the tree.

 

And quickly found the end of a sword at his throat.

 

"Wh...the?"

 

"If you please Naruto-san. The Uchiha must be returned to his room. He has no strength to be here or even consider fighting you. So I must insist that you move aside so I may take charge of my ward." Taka declared simply with a nudge of her sword.

 

Naruto moved aside and as Sasuke slide back down the tree Taka caught him across her shoulder. She hefted him and began moving back to the hospital.

 

"I am not your ward, put me down bitch." Sasuke hissed as he tried to move with his draining strength.

 

"You are my ward for as long as Hokage-sama commands that you are. Now shut up, this is going to be bad enough without your talk." Taka sighed as she thought about the aftermath of this morning.

 

They made a strange group for the waking hospital as Taka carried Sasuke who refused to stop grumbling and Naruto who was apparently still on edge as his head kept snapping around as he scanned for anything out of place. And it just got better as they made it to Sasuke's room.

 

"Kakashi-sensei?" Naruto gave off a classical Naruto confused look.

 

"They're waiting for you three." he chuckled as he opened the door for them.

 

Inside was Tsunade, Jiriaya, Hinata, Hinata's father Hiashi, Sakura, and a neko masked ANBU.

 

'Perfect.' Taka thought with a sigh.
