Chapter 5

Third Person P.O.V.

The sun seeped through the window in the room. An annoyed groan came from the bed. Christy rolled away from the light and cuddled the soft thing next to her. You can guess last night's events had slipped her mind. She held the thing next to her in her arms, thinking it was her pillow. She slowly ran her fingers into the soft quilt only to hear a light snicker. She made a confused face. When did her pillow laugh? On second thought, has any pillow ever laughed? Well there were those new pillow buddies out in stores but… SHE DIDN'T HAVE ONE! Her eyes snapped open but were shut quickly by the light. She slowly stirred from her position and sat up. She ruffled her disheveled hair and yawned. Slowly she rubbed her eyes and tried opening them again. Christy blinked a few timed before getting used to the light then look back at her pillow. Only it wasn't her pillow.

`HOLY FLYING CHRIST!!!' her mind screamed. It was the doll! Only it didn't have its shirt on. Kakashi was lying there, hands over his heads, head tilted to the side; shirt gone and so was his mask. Her body went numb as she quietly stood up. Only then did she notice the one of her legs were entangled in one of his legs and her gown had slipped up. God, she turned fifty shades of red in less than two seconds. Christy removed her leg as not to awaken the doll's sleep mode and went to her bathroom. She knew screaming would be useless now as the Kakashi doll would wake up and come find her. Christy shut the door and sighed as she leaned against it. This wasn't really how she pictured her meeting with her beloved Kakashi. For one, it was more romantic, two he was real, and three she wouldn't kill him…. She clutched the front of her gown where her heart was. It ached her to think about him, bleeding in her arms. But that moment quickly passed as she remembered he wasn't real. She turned on the shower and slipped out of her dress and into it. It was burning hot against her skin but she was used to the pain it caused her. She enjoyed it. Christy slumped her head against the metal wall and slid the door shut.

His thoughts revolved around Christy and what she said to him last night.

"You didn't scare me Kakashi. I gasped because what I saw was beautiful." That simple little phrase (and a nice back rub) touched him so deeply. Kakashi stirred and rubbed his eyes from the bright light that entered the entrance and window. He looked around him. Something was missing. `Christy!' The doll sat up straight and looked around. He grabbed his shirt and put it on and then went to grab his headband and mask. Frantically he searched for his kunai holder and sandals. The sandals were next to the bed but he found his holder underneath it. After he had everything, Kakashi went in search for her. `Where could she be?! I should have stayed awake! But that back rub was so good. Wonder what she'll look like if she found out I was real?' his thought plagued him until his nose caught something. It smelled of sweet fruit and herbs. He followed his nose to a door. He wondered if he should open it. `Of course I should open it. What if she..?' His hand descended on the knob and turned it. As he opened the door stealthily, steam poured out and he nearly choked. Slowly he stepped inside and was greeted by the sound of humming. What a beautiful sound it was. Kakashi walked toward the humming till he was standing in front of a glass door. The window was fogged up but he could barely make out a figure in the container. He sighed, noticing the sound of falling water and Christy's voice. She had been safe this whole time. He slipped out of the bathroom as not to disturb her peace. Kakashi walked down the stairs, frowning. `This girl seems to be like…Me? She's quiet, distant, strong in her own way. But if she is like me, she is hiding something as well.' Kakashi's instincts as an experienced ninja gave him the advantage to see into his opponent. He was befuddled at what such a sweet girl could be hiding. He walked into the living room and sat on the sofa. His eyes wandered to the coffee table. It was wooden with a nice oil finish and on it was a remote to the TV Of course he didn't know that. He poked it once, twice to make sure it wasn't a trap, then picked it up to study it. He then remembered something.

~~Flashback~~

"Now remember, Kakashi. This is year 2009. Many things are still unknown to you. You may see things you never imagined. Our ways have changed a far way from yours," Klyde explained showing Kakashi around the lab. Kakashi paid very close attention to him. Klyde picked up a remote from his desk.

"Kakashi, this is called a `remote.' Usually when you see a remote there will be a big screen near by. You push the green button to turn the screen on and the red one to turn it off. The screen's called a TV or television. It shows you what's happening or shows that can't happen in real life. Kinda like you." Kakashi nodded and pressed the button down. He nearly jumped out of his skin when the screen blared out gun shots and screams. Klyde took the remote from him and turned the volume down. He sweatdropped.

"Eh, sorry about that. I like watching old war movies in surround sound. Adds to the excitement."

~~End Flashback~~

Deciding it would be a lot safer, he placed the remote back onto the table and sat back down. He was bored. Usually in the Konoha village, he was always on a mission or doing training with team seven. He huffed in disappointment. The future was safe and that was the good thing but not doing anything bit big time. He then thought of training right now to keep his mind occupied. He started doing one-finger push-ups next the couch. The house was very quiet so his senses heightened. He heard the water being turned off and someone walking around upstairs but he continued doing his training; he was already on number 68. He wasn't surprised to hear Christy walking down the stairs but she stopped. He took a good guess why but continued, letting her eyes wander. After a few more push-ups she continued down the stairs and went in to the kitchen. Christy opened her fridge and took out some orange juice and tea for Kakashi.

"Kakashi, would you like some…EEEEP!" She squeaked. She had turned around to ask him for tea but he was already there. He shut the fridge door for her.

"You gave me quite a scare this morning." Kakashi started as she went to one of the cupboards for cups. She grabbed two glasses. Kakashi took the time to notice her red top and jeans.

"How?"

"Well…" Kakashi took a glass and poured some tea for him. "I woke up this morning to find you had vanished. I was…"

"Worried?" Christy asked skeptically. "Please. Everything's safe in the future except for a few sharp corners," Christy joked pouring her juice and then putting it back into the fridge.

"Besides. I can take care of myself." With that said she flexed for a laugh and then took a sip of her drink. Kakashi put his cup down, his eye following it.

"Which brings me to my next assumption. Are you a ninja?" Kakashi asked now looking at her. She blinked.

"What?! Me? A ninja? You got to be kidding. I couldn't be a ninja to save myself," she scoffed. She waved her hands around doing some kung-fu styles to show him. He didn't look amused, just annoyed.

"I really doubt that, Christy. I think you could be a ninja if you had to." Christy was starting to worry over his seriousness. But of course…

"Besides, you have the body of a ninja!" Kakashi smiled as Christy fell over. `He can never be serious unless he's in a fight,' she thought. She picked herself up and dusted off. She drunk the last of her juice and put it in a machine. Kakashi watched in wonder. She opened the door and placed it in the container. She then shut the door and pressed a green button. It shook violently and it scared him, making him think it might explode but as soon as it started, it stopped and she popped it open. It was clean! Last she then placed it back in the cupboard. He was impressed but like it better the old way. Christy walked out of the kitchen and down the hall. She came back with a backpack and her long brown hair was now tied up into a ponytail. Kakashi gulped the last of his tea and placed it in the sink, afraid of the cleaning machine.

"Going somewhere?" he asked interested in an outting. Christy headed for the door.

"Yeah. Knowing you, I say that you dislike being stuck in this house. So maybe a long picnic would be fine for the both of us." She put her shoes on. He blinked.

"It's not even noon." Christy smiled at him and opened the door.

"Makes it easier to travel." So Kakashi did nothing but follow her. He might enjoy a little picnic. He grinned following Christy out the door.
