[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]
For those who have been waiting, I’m sorry! I just haven’t found the time. Updates should happen every week, so look here next Sunday and there should be another Chapter posted.

The Beta positions have been filled! No one need apply! My Primary Beta is Radgar Eleding and my Secondary Beta is Nameramthgin. I’ve done this only because Radgar Eleding has better access to a computer and that benefits everyone. I’m keeping Nameramthgin as a Beta because the more times it’s proofread the less will slip through and he‘s redoing the first two chapters. So give them major thanks and love because they are awesome.

I APPRECIATE ALL REVIEWS! I’m frikkin’ ecstatic about that. W00t!

On with the story…

Chapter 3

Tsunade studied the two ninja before her. The boy with the vacant stare and the girl with no sense of who she was. This was not going to be easy at all. The task she had planned out for them was going to take massive amounts of cooperation, teamwork, and brains. And with Sakura’s temper it was bound to be a challenge for both of them. But then again Sakura could do with some patience training.

“What I have for both of you today is going to be tedious and very difficult. So follow me.” Both obediently dodged her steps on the way down a dark corridor. They stopped in front of a large wooden door that was old and ornate. “I’m sure you’ve noticed that this hallway has no windows and poor lighting, correct?”

Both of the nodded, keeping their mouth’s closed.

“That’s because this is the hallway that keeps every journal or document from every Hokage of the Leaf Village, from the first, my great grandfather, to me. And light, as we know, destroys writings. So, you both will be organizing it today.” She opened the door. The ground was littered with papers, all in chaos and extreme disorder. There was large desk with scroll thrown askew and a ridiculous amount of candles. ”You are not to read a single one. Do you hear me?” She looked point blank into each of their eyes. “I’m trusting you with this. There is information in there that only a I and a few other individuals know.”

They both nodded, however, that totally confused Sakura. “But Sensei, how are we to organize them if we don‘t know what they say or who their from?”

Tsunade smiled. “Good question, there are dates and names at the bottom of each scroll. Good luck!” She shoved them both in and slammed the door.

Sakura sighed and looked around the room, then looked at Sai.

“Oh, this is fucking perfect. Just Perfect.”

Sasuke leaned against the tree, slowly slipping his drink. A mist had covered the earth earlier but was gone by noon. He looked up into the branches of the tree and saw a few notches in the bark. A memory from a time he wasn’t supposed to remember. A precious memory, he’d tried to bury, came flooding back unrestrained.

Naruto and Sasuke landed on the floor next to each other breathing hard. The sun had set nearly an hour ago and they’d been going at it since day break.

“I told you I wasn’t going to let you beat me, bastard.”

“You didn’t beat me you, Idiot. The mark is the same.”

Naruto grinned at him, “It still means I didn’t lose!”

Sasuke hid a smile. “You idiot.”

Naruto’s stomach sounded, he curled into a ball and wrapped his arms around his middle. “So, hungry…”

Sasuke got up and held a hand out to Naruto. “Then you should’ve eaten something, stupid.”

“And let you beat me? No way!” He took it and they walked back to the hut where Kakashi-sensei and Sakura were waiting. Naruto’s arm around Sasuke’s shoulder’s.

Moment’s like those needed to be forgotten. He leaned his head against the bark and looked down into his cup.

Naruto was highly uncomfortable taking innocent Hinata to such a vulgar place. The thought of dragging her through a room of scantily clothed women didn’t bode well.

They walked up to the door that was painted with the silhouette of a finely shaped woman sitting on the words, The Cat’s Meow. Naruto grabbed Hinata’s hand and walked inside, there was a thick wall of smoke that choked their nostrils, the smell of arousal and cheap liquor filled the air.

A woman wearing nothing more than pieces of scrap was delivering a tray full of beer to a rowdy group of men in the corner and Hinata and Naruto were surprised to learn that when she bent down that she’d forgotten a certain key piece of clothing this morning. They both looked away blushing.

“Hinata, why don’t you sit at the bar while I go look for the Pervert?” They walked over to the bar, sat down next to each other and ordered two glasses of beer. The bartender filled them up and passed them down.

As Naruto sat down he took a gulp of his drink, he’d learned how to hold his liquor with the Pervert, he remembered all the times he‘d lost drinking bets, he still owed the geezer money. He still hadn‘t been able to beat the old man, not once, but he would one day.

Naruto made eye contact with Hinata letting her know that he was going to start looking for the Pervert when he noticed a greasy looking man sitting a few seats down ran a perverted eye over Hinata.

He was getting really sick and tired of all the eyes that were constantly glued to Hinata’s ass. He watched as the man got up and walked over to them.

“Excuse me for interrupting, my name is Touji.” He smiled and exposed yellowed teeth to them.

Hinata subconsciously leaned into Naruto at the stranger’s approach, she bowed her head politely. “Hello, sir.”

“Excuse me for being for being so straightforward but I couldn’t help but notice,” He took her hand, his lips precariously close to her skin. “How absolutely gorgeous you are.” And he laid a sloppy wet kiss on her knuckles. “You’d be such a wonderful asset to my-”

Naruto ripped the offending guy’s hand off Hinata’s and slipped his into hers. Allowing the guy to see the identical rings they both wore. “Excuse me?”

The idiot wasn’t fazed at all, he simply shrugged his shoulder’s and changed tactics. He turned his attention to Naruto and took a step back. “You know, young man, that I run a very lucrative business. I’m allowing you to share a profit with me, if you’d only let me have a few privileges with your lady friend.”

Naruto nearly saw red, if not for the firm hold he had on Hinata he would’ve decked the guy. He felt a small reassuring squeeze on his arm. He took a deep breath. He didn’t however, remove his scowl of displeasure. “We don’t have the time and were pretty well off, just passing through town, I just stopped by for a drink. Can you tell me were the bathroom is?”

The man sneered at the kid and pointed. “That way, my boy.”

“Thanks.” He leaned forward next to Hinata’s ear and whispered. “Turn your ring on, I don’t trust this place I’m going to go look for Ero-Sensei. You need eyes in the back of your head.”

She nodded and reactivated her technique. She sent a small amount of chakra into the rings to activate them.

“If anything happens tell me, immediately. I should be back soon.” He reluctantly let go of her hand and went in search of the pervert.

The feeling of isolation and vulnerability returned, just like the last time Naruto left her, she made sure she sipped her beer even though she hated it to not look suspicious and tried to blend in. She was very good at blending.

Naruto sped up a bit looking though the rooms, this was such a pain in the ass. He’d become well acquainted with this type of thing. When he was training and living with the old geezer he’d often had to go look for him in one of these places. It was so ridiculous. He found a room labeled, The Lounge and walked in.

The dirty old bastard was being lavished with attention from multiple women, all of which were fawning over him like he was some sex deity. Naruto rolled his eyes. “Oi, Grandpa, what the hell do you think your doing?” He folded his arms, waiting for an answer, the pervert was even being fed by hand!

Jiraiya lifted his head full of luscious white hair and brushed the grapes out of his face. He blinked a few times, making sure he was seeing who he thought he was. “Brat? What are you doing here?” The old man was actually happy to see him. Traveling with the boy had made life interesting, he wasn’t as lonely when Naruto was with him, it’d been six months since he’d last seen him and he already looked taller.

“The old hag told me to come get you, said you had something you needed to spill, that’s as much as I know.” He shrugged the signature tight face scowl on his face, Jiraiya had really missed that look.

“Oh, sensei! Who’s this?” A dark headed beauty gave Naruto a once over, the tip of her finger swirling seductively in her mouth, “I could eat him up, for free!” A few giggles of agreement went around.

Naruto’s cheeks blossomed with color. He grinned and scratched his head, flattered. What a cute kid.

Jiraiya hid a smile and feigned irritation, “Pft, he’s my student,” then he turned on the curvaceous paid service, grinning like a kid with candy. “Sorry ladies, it’s been fun, but it seems I must leave.” A simultaneous groan of protest sounded.

“C’mon! We need to go! I lef--” Suddenly Naruto jerked, running at a near inhuman speed out of the room, Jiraiya was hot on his heels.

In the other room where Hinata was sitting she noticed the table full of men in the corner suddenly got quiet. The greasy old guy from earlier was now sitting with them and gesturing at her, he laid something on the table. A few of them starting moving toward her, they went by three’s. She gripped her glass tighter praying they’d go away.

This would totally blow their cover. She decided she needed to go somewhere that would make it less obvious. She handed a few bills to the bar tender and left for the alley. That way she could dispose of them quietly and quickly.

She made her way out into the cramped space and start slowly walking to the street, waiting for them to come out. Under her breath she tried whispering to Naruto, but he was busy talking to Jiraiya. She could handle this one her own, anyways, it was only a couple of drunks.

She heard the door open and close a few times, signifying that all six or seven guys were out in the ally now. They moved pretty fast and blocked off all exits, forming a circle around her. She slid into a defensive stance and summoned some more chakra.

Two guys from opposing sides ran at her, she hit the guy coming at her head on in the pressure point below the jaw, and using her amazing speed and agility she turned on the ball of her foot and laid a kick across the other guy’s neck, officially knocking them both out. Two down, four to go.

A man wearing a long trench coat pulled out a switch blade and flicked it open, an excited sneer on his face. He twirled it around and did a few more fancy tricks with it, then rushed at her. She grabbed the guys wrist, twisted, and broke it, pulling him forward she elbowed him in the back of the head, letting him fall to the ground with the other two.

So far so good, the other three circled her, only then did she notice their forehead protectors, all three of them wore fire country head bands, large scratches through each of them. Exiled shinobi, this was not good. She needed back up just in case.

“Naruto-kun?” She said out loud. “I’ve got a problem…”

A large man, clearly drunk and over confident, pulled a few throwing stars from a pack at his side and threw them at her, she dodged and caught one throwing it back so that it lodged in his throat. Blood poured from the wound, more of the liquid burbled up from his mouth and slid down his chin. The gurgling sound he made as he tried to breath was horrific, he fell to his knees, his hands clenching and unclenching at his neck.

The two other guys clearly had their smarts and hadn’t indulged in any drugs or alcohol. The one on her left pulled something out, she say him pop the cap off of something but couldn’t make it out. The guy in front of her called a summoning technique.

Suddenly the ground beneath her began to wobble like she was surfing on a wave. She tried to keep her balance and her eye on both of them but it was nearly impossible. A particularly violent wave caused her to fall backwards, she felt something stab her stomach just above her hip. She knocked the offending object away.

She heard the door crash open and saw Naruto standing there. A rush of relief went through her, she suddenly felt light headed and heavy, her eyesight became distorted and she lost concentration on her jutsu.

Naruto busted open the door and came out, Hinata was on her back cradling her hip. He jumped into action, taking out a kunai and slashing it across the man’s face, sufficiently blinding him. He left the other one to Jiraiya. He leaned down to Hinata, helping her sit up. “Are you okay?”

Hinata looked at him, a few strands of hair were plastered to her face and he eyes were half lidded. “Naruto-kun, something’s wrong….” Her breathing labored and her muscles twitched spasmodically.

“What happened?” He brushed a few pieces of hair out of her face.

She swallowed, trying to speak. “H-he stabbed m-me with some-something.” She closed her eyes and groaned, fighting something.

Naruto looked around and found it. A small syringe, that was nearly empty. Poison.
