Author's note: Here is the sequel to my most read story of all time, The Crow: Takai Kitsune. This tale will be set a year and a half after Naruto's resurrection from the dead. Wolverine will go by the names of both James Howlett and Logan in this story. Naruto's murderer, Orochimaru, and his apprentice, Sasuke, will forge an alliance with one of Wolverine's most dangerious enemies, the Silver Samurai. What is the purpose of this deadly alliance of these two villians? Well, my fellow wolves, Crow-ites, and true believers, we're gonna have to look and find out. Let the dramasterpiece begin!!!
Chapter 1:
Wolverine Blues
(Hidden Sound Village)
Orochimaru sat in the living room within his home. Revenge had consumed his mind while he thought about what happened nearly a year ago. A year ago, he and Naruto fought each other and nearly died. His injuries had healed but he still bore scars from that day. Orochimaru came up with a plan to get his vengeance on Naruto. He walked outside to see Sasuke doing some training.
"Sasuke!" Orochimaru called.
"What do you want, Orochimaru?" Sasuke asked.
"Your training is over for now," Orochimaru said. "You and I are going on a trip."
"Where?" Sasuke asked.
"To Tokyo," Orochimaru said.
"You know someone over there?" Sasuke asked.
"Yes, I do. An old friend dubbed The Silver Samurai," Orochimaru said.
Sasuke's eyes widened upon hearing his name. "Japan's most dangerous mutant hitman? But mutants are supposed to be scum."
"Don't judge them, my friend," Orochimaru said. "Mutants have extroadinary abilities, very much like us ninja."
"Then why do humans look down upon them?" Sasuke asked.
"Humans are igorant and close-minded to mutants because they think they're dangerous," Orochimaru said. "They're nothing but fools for thinking that way."
"I would like to know what kind of jutsu this Samurai has," Sasuke said.
"He has very powerful jutsu," Orochimaru said. "Now, come. We're heading for Tokyo."
Orochimaru and Sasuke headed for the harbor then boarded the ship bound for Tokyo.
(Tokyo, Silver Samurai's Kodokan)
Kenuichio Harada a.k.a. Silver Samurai was practicing various sword attacks. A Yashida clansman entered the training as he said, "Sir, two people are here to see you."
"Who are they?" Silver Samurai asked.
"They seemed to be from Otogakure," The clansman replied.
"Send them in," Silver Samurai said.
"Yes, sir," The clansman said then exited the room.
Silver Samurai saw two dark-haired guys coming in. One was pale, had some feminine features and wore a dark blue uniform while the other was younger and wore a black short sleave shirt and matching shorts.
"Orochimaru, what brings you here?" Silver Samurai asked.
"I was wondering you do some work for me," Orochimaru said. "There's a ninja I want dead."
"What's his name?" Silver Samurai asked.
"Naruto," Orochimaru said.
"Naruto, huh? Where does he live?" Silver Samurai asked.
"He lives in Konoha, a small village hidden in the leaves," Orochimaru replied.
"So this kid has been causing trouble," Silver Samurai deduced.
"Yes," Orochimaru said. "I want him dead. And for a bonus, I can let you kill the Hokage."
"He's the man who runs Konoha?" Silver Samurai asked.
"Yes. He's been a major thorn in my side for a long time," Orochimaru said. "If you kill him and Naruto, I'll see to it that you are paid very well."
"You got yourself a deal," Silver Samurai said with a smile.
Sasuke scoffed. "Do we gotta trust this asshole? He's a freaking mutant."
"You doubt my abilities?" Silver Samurai asked. "Listen, kid, my blade has slain many brave warriors who came at me. If you're looking for a fight, then come and get it."
Sasuke just drew his sword and said, "You probably won't even be able to scratch me."
"Let's see if your jutsu are a match against my mutant powers, boy," Silver Samurai said as he unleashed his silver katana.
"Bring it on, old man!" Sasuke shouted.
"Stop this!" Orochimaru shouted. "You two will work together! Put your weapons away, now!"
Silver Samurai and Sasuke placed their weapons into their sheathes.
"Now, let's go," Orochimaru ordered.
They followed Orochimaru out of the Kodokan for the ferry to Konoha. With Silver Samurai and Sasuke by his side, Orochimaru could finally take his vengeance on Naruto.
'Naruto, you've overstayed your welcome on this Earth long enough,' Orochimaru said mentally. 'It's about time you went back to Hell where you really belong.'
(Hidden Leaf Village, Sakura's house)
Naruto was sleeping very soundly in bed. Sakura came into the bedroom quietly and walked toward her sleeping lover. She sat on the edge of her bed and affectionately rubbed her forehead against Naruto's. Naruto woke up as Sakura moved back slightly.
"Morning, sleepyhead," Sakura said.
"Morning, sweetheart," Naruto yawned.
Naruto sat up as he asked, "What day is it?"
"Today's Saturday," Sakura said. "Don't tell me you forgot."
"Forgot what?" Naruto asked.
"Today is our one year anniversery, Naruto," Sakura said firmly. "One year since you and I were together again."
"I was just teasin'," Naruto said. "Here, I did get you somethin'."
"Really? What is it?" Sakura asked with excitement.
Naruto opened up the nightstand drawer to present a small black velvet box and gave it to her. Sakura opened the box to reveal a silver promise ring with the name Sakura engraved on the outer part of the ring.
"Naruto, it's...beautiful," Sakura said breathelessly.
"You like it?" Naruto asked.
"Like it? I love it!" Sakura exclaimed. "Oh, thank you, Naruto!"
Sakura quickly hugged Naruto real tight then released him. Sakura smiled as she placed the ring on the middle finger of her left hand.
"Looks pretty nice on my beautiful finger," Sakura said.
"Well, you are the most beautiful girl in the world," Naruto said with a smile.
"Aww, you're so sweet," Sakura said merrily.
"What did you get me for our anniversery?" Naruto asked.
"That's something you'll have to wait until tonight," Sakura said seductively.
Naruto blushed upon hearing Sakura's words. "I'll be looking forward to it."
"So what do you wanna do?" Sakura asked.
"I bought a couple of tickets to go see a movie together," Naruto said.
"That's nice," Sakura said.
"Yeah. This'll be one date you never ever forget, sweetheart," Naruto said.
After they took a shower together, Naruto and Sakura got dressed. Naruto wore a sleeveless black shirt and orange pants while Sakura wore a red dress with a pair of calf high boots.
"Do I look hot or what?" Sakura asked with a wink.
"You're not just hot, you're smokin'," Naruto remarked.
"I knew you notice," Sakura said while smiling.
"Let's be on our way," Naruto said.
Sakura and Naruto left the house for the movies. First, they stopped at a restaraunt to eat. Sakura had some ramen while Naruto couldn't eat anything since he was dead. Next, they head to the shopping district to buy a few things. Afterwards, they headed for their destination. As they were talking, Naruto bumped into someone. As Naruto fell to the ground on his butt, he saw a man with black hair with motten chop-style sideburns. He wore a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and a pair of tan-colored boots.
"Gee, sorry, mister," Naruto said.
"It's all right, kid," The man said. "Let me help you up."
As soon as Naruto grabbed the guy's hand, he felt a flashback in his mind. Naruto saw a darkened house, he saw a teenager with bone-like potrusions coming out of his hands and impaling an attacker who just killed his father then slashed his accomplice in the face. Upon seeing this, his mother killed herself then a young girl wisked him away from the unfolded tragedy. Afterward, Naruto's mind returned to the present.
"Naruto, are you ok?" Sakura asked with concern.
"Hmm? Yeah, I'm fine," Naruto said then the man pulled him up.
"What happened, bub?" The guy asked.
"I dunno," Naruto said. "I just felt a little dizzy, that's all. See ya later, mister."
"Sure, have a good day now," The man said as Naruto and Sakura walked off. 'Why do I smell death and evil on that kid? I don't get it.'
Naruto and Sakura continued their way to the movies while their mysterious vistor disappeared into the crowds of the village and watched them. Sakura and Naruto arrived at the theater sometime later. They gave the usher their tickets and headed for the movie they were gonna see. For the last few hours, Sakura held Naruto's hand as they watched. After it was over, Naruto and Sakura decided to head on home but what they don't know was the side burn man they bumped into earlier looked at them in the shadows.
As they walked on home, Sakura had an uneasy feeling on her mind. Naruto looked at her as he asked, "Sakura, what's the matter?"
"I have this weird feeling we're being watched," Sakura said.
"Relax, sweetheart. Orochimaru or his damn goons aren't here," Naruto reassured.
"If you say so," Sakura said.
(Hokage's office)
Hokage Sarutobi was making preparations for an upcoming Chunin exam. Villages from various lands were gonna be arriving in Konoha within a couple of months. He seen many bright students come and go from the village. Sarutobi was hoping to see his grandson, Konohamaru, graduate from the Chunin exam but he wasn't gonna give him any special treatment. Of course, it still pained him to remember Naruto was killed during the Forest of Death test. Sarutobi knew Naruto would one day take his job as Hokage but thanks to his ex-student, Orochimaru, that dream was never realized. Not a day goes by when he doesn't think about Konoha's most gifted yet annoying student. Sarutobi had a strange feeling someone was intruding in his office. He saw a samurai dressed in silver armor stepping out of the shadows of the office.
"Sarutobi, I presume?" The samurai asked.
"Who the devil are you?" Sarutobi asked.
"I am Kenuichio Harada but I'm also known as the Silver Samurai," Silver Samurai saidl
"What do you want?" Sarutobi asked as he got up from his chair.
"I have no ill will towards you, old man," Silver Samurai said. "But my boss does and he wants you dead."
"Who might might that be?" Sarutobi asked.
"Me," An effeminate voice hissed.
"You!" Sarutobi exclaimed as he saw Orochimaru. "What the hell brings you here, Orochimaru!?"
"Why, Sarutobi-sensei, I'm hurt," Orochimaru said. "I haven't seen you for nearly fifty years and this is how you greet me?"
"Are you planning another foolish invasion?" The Third Hokage asked. "You won't succeed like you did last time!"
"I have no intention of invading this cesspool, Sarutobi-sensei," Orochimaru said. "I came here to kill you."
"I thought as much," The Lord Hokage said. "Orochimaru, you were my most prized student and a had ton of potential but you threw it all for your god damn quest for immortality and doing all these experiments."
"You've done nothing but hold me back," Orochimaru said. "While you were busy giving Tsunade and Jiraiya lessons, I wanted to be powerful."
"That's not true! I treated the three of you like equals!" Sarutobi declared. "You allowed power to go to your head and I've banished you from the Hidden Leaf Village forever because of that!"
"So!? I've taken a prize pupil and unlike you, I've taught him everything I know," Orochimaru said.
"Who might that be?" Sarutobi asked.
"Sasuke, of course," Orochimaru said as Sasuke appeared in the room.
"You bastard! You brainwashed him, didn't you?" Sarutobi asked.
"No, he came to me by his own free will," Orochimaru said. "He nearly defeated Naruto almost a year ago."
The Lord Hokage shook his head in disbelief. "Naruto's dead, fool."
"Au contraire, Naruto is quite alive," Orochimaru said. "He's not quite alive but he is here. Too bad you won't be around to see him again."
"If I'm gonna die, I'll die fighting," Sarutobi said as he removed his Hokage robe to reveal his black outfit underneath. "You'll see I still have some tricks up my sleeves."
"Then prepare to die, old man," Orochimaru said.
Silver Samurai drew his blade from its sheath. "Its been awhile since I last killed someone. Get ready to taste my kenjutsu!"
Silver Samurai did a few gestures while he raised his sword up high over his head. The sword gave off a light orange glow. He slashed the air downward as he shouted, "Hyaku Sakuchi!"
The orange arc zoomed toward Sarutobi but he quickly dodged it with ease.
"Nice attack but you can do better than that," Sarutobi said as he did the hand gestures for his Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique.
An array of shurikens were fired at both Orochimaru and Silver Samurai. The two villians dodged them as Sasuke looked on.
'For an old man, he is pretty tough,' Sasuke said mentally. 'But the Lord Hokage wouldn't last long against Orochimaru and Silver Samurai.'
"Hope you like this, Fire Release: Fire Dragon Flame Missle!" Sarutobi shouted as he spat out a flame thrower-like stream from his mouth.
Silver Samurai blocked the incoming flame with his sword, only to get a kick in the face from Sarutobi. Silver Samurai tumbled to the ground as Sarutobi said, "I can see you are a gifted warrior but you use your skills to harm people. Whoever trained you should be ashamed."
"Ha. I was trained by the finest of the Yakuza," Silver Samurai said as he got up. "They trained me to be the perfect assassin."
"You truly are a lost cause, my friend," Sarutobi said. "You could've help the people of your country but you chose to kill instead. That's something I will not forgive. Just like what Orochimaru had done."
"I never asked for your forgiveness, old man," Silver Samurai said.
"And neither did I," Orochimaru added. "You could've killed me all those years ago when I studied the Forbidden Jutsu but you didn't. You allowed me to escape."
"I'll never make that mistake ever again," Sarutobi said. "Now, prepare to die, my former pupil!"
"Then so be it," Orochimaru said.
Orochimaru did some hand gestures as he shouted, "Striking Snake Technique!"
Snakes formed around his left arm as they let out hisses. He launched the snakes at Sarutobi by doing a punching motion. The Third Hokage barely avoided the attack. Now it was time to even the playing field; Sarutobi summoned a long black staff and twirled it in his hand.
"Nice seeing you again, old friend," A voice said within the staff.
"Same here, Enma," Sarutobi said. "Now let's show these bastards what we're made of."
Orochimaru suddenly opened up his mouth. A snake slithered its way out of Orochimaru's mouth then coming out of the snake's mouth was Orochimaru's blade, the Kusanagi sword. He grabbed the weapon's hilt and licked its blade to the tip.
"You're going to be cut down, Sarutobi-sensei," Orochimaru hissed.
Silver Samurai ran at Sarutobi with his sword charged up with tachyon energy and tried to slash at the Third Hokage. Sarutobi blocked every blow and slugged him with his staff. He quickly retaliated by doing the hand gestures for his Triple Shuriken attack. Sarutobi blocked the incoming shurikens as he did his touki ikazuchi technique. Now enhanced with the power of lightning, Silver Samurai went on the attack. Orochimaru followed up with a Wind Release: Great Breakthrough attack.
Sarutobi was blocking Silver Samurai's lightning enhanced swings as he noticed a blast of wind ignited with fire coming at him. He pushed the evil samurai away and was hit. Sarutobi crashed onto his back as Enma said, "Get back up, Sarutobi and let me help you."
"Not yet," Sarutobi said. "I know a way to stop Orochimaru."
"What are you gonna do?" Enma asked.
"You'll see," Sarutobi said as he did his Shadow Clone technique.
"What are you doing?" Orochimaru asked.
"Something I have should've done a long time ago," Sarutobi said. "I am going to seal your soul with this technique."
"What?" Orochimaru asked fearfully.
"Prepare to die," Sarutobi said as he and his two clones did their hands seals to summon a demon wearing a white robe with a knife in its mouth.
"No!" Orochimaru screamed.
"What the hell is going on?" Silver Samurai asked.
"I refuse to let him seal me away!!!" Orochimaru screamed.
As his former teacher was attempting his Dead Demon Consuming Seal, Orochimaru levitated his sword and threw it at him. As if in slow motion, the blade plunged itself into the Third Hokage while he was sealing his former student. Noticing this, Enma morphed into his true form, a gorilla, tried to stop it from killing Sarutobi only to be restricted by the snakes that Orochimaru summoned. Enma was able to grab the sword's hilt to delay it long enough for Sarutobi to seal away at least a portion of Orochimaru's powers. Sarutobi let out a gasp as Enma removed Orochimaru's blade from his chest.
Sarutobi fell to the ground and looked at Orochimaru but he didn't see him as his killer but as the boy he once teached. He let out his final breath and sighed; The Third Hokage was dead.
Emna shedded a tear as he dropped the sword to the ground. After saying a few parting words, he disappeared. At long last, Orochimaru finally achieved his goal of killing his teacher and expressed no remorse for it, neither did Sasuke or the Silver Samurai since he didn't know him in life. Orochimaru realized the ANBU ops were on their way, he, Silver Samurai, and Sasuke hightailed out of dodge. The male and female ANBU ops saw Sarutobi's corpse lying on the floor. The word of Sarutobi's death spread quickly throughout the Hidden Leaf village like a virus.
Sakura and Naruto was wondering what was going on in the village and why everyone was so sad. They suddenly bumped into the man whom they met earlier in the day.
"You," The man said.
"Hey, what's going on?" Naruto asked. "Why is everyone looking so upset?"
"You didn't hear, kid?" The man asked. "Someone was murdered."
"Who?" Sakura asked.
"An old man named Sarutobi," The middle-aged man informed.
The news shocked them like a thunderbolt.
"You can't be serious," Naruto said breathlessly.
"I wish I wasn't, bub," The man said. "Do you know him?"
"Yes," Sakura answered for Naruto. "He was in charge of the whole village here."
"Who are you?" Naruto asked.
"Me? My name was James Howlett but everyone calls me Logan," Logan said. "My code name is Wolverine and I'm sent here to find you...Naruto."
"How'd you know my name, old man?" Naruto asked.
"Doctor Strange told me all about you, bub," Wolverine said. "So the Avengers sent me here to keep an eye on you and your old lady."
"Hey!" Sakura shouted. "I'm not old!"
"That's an ol' American term for girlfriend, sweetheart," Wolverine said.
"What brings you here, anyway?" Naruto asked.
"Word has it is some son of a bitch named Orochimaru has hired the Silver Samurai to murder Sarutobi," Wolverine said.
"What the fuck!?" Naruto exclaimed. "He had him killed!?"
"Got that right, bub," Wolverine said. "I came here to find Kenuichiro and take him down."
"That's Silver Samurai's real name!?" Naruto shouted. "I'll kill him and Orochimaru, too!"
"You don't know him like I do, kid," Wolverine said. "I had various run-ins with him over the years. He escaped from the Raft prison and hasn't been seen since."
"When I find him, he'll pay for what he did to the Hokage," Naruto said angrily.
"Bub, you leave him to me," Wolverine said firmly as he revealed his adamantium claws to Naruto and Sakura.
"What the fuck is that!?" Sakura shouted.
"My claws," Wolverine said.
"That must hurt," Naruto said.
"They do every time I use 'em," Wolverine said sadly as he retracted his claws.
"What about the Lord Hokage?" Sakura asked.
"Whoever this Orochimaru is, he might have some serious bad blood against Sarutobi," Wolverine said.
"I know who he is," Naruto said with anger. "He killed me a few years ago."
"You're dead?" Wolverine asked. "It's no wonder I smelled death on your ass, kid."
"Yeah, I am dead," Naruto said. "He killed me during the Chunin Exams."
"If you're dead then I can do this," Wolverine said as he formed a fist and plunged his claws through Naruto's head.
"Naruto!" Sakura shouted.
"Relax, honey," Wolverine said as he retracted his claws. "All he will get is a major headache."
"Dude, that wasn't cool," Naruto said.
Kakashi ran into Naruto and Sakura as he said, "Naruto! Sakura! I was looking all over for you. The Lord Hokage is..."
"We know," Sakura said sadly.
"Who told you this?" Kakashi said.
"I did, bub," Wolverine said.
"Who are you?" Kakashi said.
"I'm Logan but you can call me Wolverine," Wolverine said.
"Wolverine from the X-men?" Kakashi asked. "What brings you here?"
"I came here to find this little runt here," Wolverine said, pointing at Naruto. "An assassin called the Silver Samurai is coming after him. I have no doubt he was the one who killed your Hokage, bub."
"What about Orochimaru?" Kakashi asked.
"I'm sure this guy may have had a hand in it too," Wolverine said.
"He'll pay for that," Kakashi said. "This Silver Samurai you mentioned will pay dearly for killing the Lord Hokage."
Sarutobi's body was carried out to his grandson's home. The grandson of the Hokage was devistated to learn about his grandfather's death. Four days later, all of Konoha held a funeral for the late Hokage. Sarutobi's body was cremated and his ashes were giving to Kurenai and Konohamaru. Kurenai didn't get the chance to tell Sarutobi that he was gonna be a grandfather. Every person laid flowers on Sarutobi's grave and paid his or her respects. Naruto chose not to go because it would be too sad for him and he didn't want everyone to see him back on earth.
Naruto's quest for vengeance began anew when Sarutobi was murdered. Orochimaru and the Silver Samurai weren't going to get away for what they had done. And this time, Orochimaru won't escape from Naruto's wrath.
Meanwhile, Orochimaru gloated over the death of his ex-sensei. He didn't care about ruining the lives of those closest to the Lord Hokage. Now he was going to focus on getting rid of Naruto once and for all.
"Those sad little fools," Orochimaru said. "Wasting their empty little prayers. That foolish old man got what he deserved."
"Hmm," Silver Samurai said to himself.
"What's wrong with you?" Sasuke asked.
"He's here," Silver Samurai said.
"Who?" Orochimaru asked.
"Wolverine," Silver Samurai said.
"Wolverine?" Orochimaru repeated.
"Yes," Silver Samurai said. "I know he'll be coming for me."
"I'll destroy him too," Orochimaru said.
"You leave him to me. I know how he thinks," Silver Samurai said.
"You'll be getting some help from the Sound Four," Orochimaru said.
"Ha. I don't need help to destroy that bastard," Silver Samurai said. "I'll carve him down and display his body at my Kadokan."
"Oh, no," Orochimaru said. "You're going help me take down Naruto and this Wolverine since that old bastard sealed my powers. Now I require a new body to inhabit."
"I'm not your personal lap dog, snake," Silver Samurai said. "I answer to no one."
"Too bad," Orochimaru said. "I want you to train my Sound Four to kill Naruto and Wolverine, like it or not."

End notes: The first chapter of my Crow/Naruto sequel ends. You might wondering why I chose to cross Takai Kistune with X-men. I imagined Naruto joining forces with one of the most dangerous and popular characters in comics, Wolverine. Wolverine and Naruto are similar in many ways. For Silver Samurai, I thought he would be a perfect co-antagonist for this story and since this story is based on Naruto, his kenjutsu attacks will be based on attacks from Marvel vs. Capcom 2. Another thing I forgot to mention is Sarutobi's son, Asuma, is dead in this story. This sequel will also take place after the Civil War crossover from Marvel Comics. Now that Orochimaru has murdered the Lord Hokage, Naruto is bound to get his revenge but with the Silver Samurai and Sasuke on his side, our Fox/Crow avatar will have his work cut out for him. Will the combined might of Wolverine, Naruto, and Sakura bring them down? And will Naruto and Sakura finally save their old friend from Orochimaru? His injuries had healed but he still bore scars from that day. Orochimaru came up with a plan to get his vengeance on Naruto. He walked outside to see Sasuke doing some training.
"Sasuke!" Orochimaru called.
"What do you want, Orochimaru?" Sasuke asked.
"Your training is over for now," Orochimaru said. "You and I are going on a trip."
"Where?" Sasuke asked.
"To Tokyo," Orochimaru said.
"You know someone over there?" Sasuke asked.
"Yes, I do. An old friend dubbed The Silver Samurai," Orochimaru said.
Sasuke's eyes widened upon hearing his name. "Japan's most dangerous mutant hitman? But mutants are supposed to be scum."
"Don't judge them, my friend," Orochimaru said. "Mutants have extroadinary abilities, very much like us ninja."
"Then why do humans look down upon them?" Sasuke asked.
"Humans are igorant and close-minded to mutants because they think they're dangerous," Orochimaru said. "They're nothing but fools for thinking that way."
"I would like to know what kind of jutsu this Samurai has," Sasuke said.
"He has very powerful jutsu," Orochimaru said. "Now, come. We're heading for Tokyo."
Orochimaru and Sasuke headed for the harbor then boarded the ship bound for Tokyo.
(Tokyo, Silver Samurai's Kodokan)
Kenuichio Harada a.k.a. Silver Samurai was practicing various sword attacks. A Yashida clansman entered the training as he said, "Sir, two people are here to see you."
"Who are they?" Silver Samurai asked.
"They seemed to be from Otogakure," The clansman replied.
"Send them in," Silver Samurai said.
"Yes, sir," The clansman said then exited the room.
Silver Samurai saw two dark-haired guys coming in. One was pale, had some feminine features and wore a dark blue uniform while the other was younger and wore a black short sleave shirt and matching shorts.
"Orochimaru, what brings you here?" Silver Samurai asked.
"I was wondering you do some work for me," Orochimaru said. "There's a ninja I want dead."
"What's his name?" Silver Samurai asked.
"Naruto," Orochimaru said.
"Naruto, huh? Where does he live?" Silver Samurai asked.
"He lives in Konoha, a small village hidden in the leaves," Orochimaru replied.
"So this kid has been causing trouble," Silver Samurai deduced.
"Yes," Orochimaru said. "I want him dead. And for a bonus, I can let you kill the Hokage."
"He's the man who runs Konoha?" Silver Samurai asked.
"Yes. He's been a major thorn in my side for a long time," Orochimaru said. "If you kill him and Naruto, I'll see to it that you are paid very well."
"You got yourself a deal," Silver Samurai said with a smile.
Sasuke scoffed. "Do we gotta trust this asshole? He's a freaking mutant."
"You doubt my abilities?" Silver Samurai asked. "Listen, kid, my blade has slain many brave warriors who came at me. If you're looking for a fight, then come and get it."
Sasuke just drew his sword and said, "You probably won't even be able to scratch me."
"Let's see if your jutsu are a match against my mutant powers, boy," Silver Samurai said as he unleashed his silver katana.
"Bring it on, old man!" Sasuke shouted.
"Stop this!" Orochimaru shouted. "You two will work together! Put your weapons away, now!"
Silver Samurai and Sasuke placed their weapons into their sheathes.
"Now, let's go," Orochimaru ordered.
They followed Orochimaru out of the Kodokan for the ferry to Konoha. With Silver Samurai and Sasuke by his side, Orochimaru could finally take his vengeance on Naruto.
'Naruto, you've overstayed your welcome on this Earth long enough,' Orochimaru said mentally. 'It's about time you went back to Hell where you really belong.'
(Hidden Leaf Village, Sakura's house)
Naruto was sleeping very soundly in bed. Sakura came into the bedroom quietly and walked toward her sleeping lover. She sat on the edge of her bed and affectionately rubbed her forehead against Naruto's. Naruto woke up as Sakura moved back slightly.
"Morning, sleepyhead," Sakura said.
"Morning, sweetheart," Naruto yawned.
Naruto sat up as he asked, "What day is it?"
"Today's Saturday," Sakura said. "Don't tell me you forgot."
"Forgot what?" Naruto asked.
"Today is our one year anniversery, Naruto," Sakura said firmly. "One year since you and I were together again."
"I was just teasin'," Naruto said. "Here, I did get you somethin'."
"Really? What is it?" Sakura asked with excitement.
Naruto opened up the nightstand drawer to present a small black velvet box and gave it to her. Sakura opened the box to reveal a silver promise ring with the name Sakura engraved on the outer part of the ring.
"Naruto, it's...beautiful," Sakura said breathelessly.
"You like it?" Naruto asked.
"Like it? I love it!" Sakura exclaimed. "Oh, thank you, Naruto!"
Sakura quickly hugged Naruto real tight then released him. Sakura smiled as she placed the ring on the middle finger of her left hand.
"Looks pretty nice on my beautiful finger," Sakura said.
"Well, you are the most beautiful girl in the world," Naruto said with a smile.
"Aww, you're so sweet," Sakura said merrily.
"What did you get me for our anniversery?" Naruto asked.
"That's something you'll have to wait until tonight," Sakura said seductively.
Naruto blushed upon hearing Sakura's words. "I'll be looking forward to it."
"So what do you wanna do?" Sakura asked.
"I bought a couple of tickets to go see a movie together," Naruto said.
"That's nice," Sakura said.
"Yeah. This'll be one date you never ever forget, sweetheart," Naruto said.
After they took a shower together, Naruto and Sakura got dressed. Naruto wore a sleeveless black shirt and orange pants while Sakura wore a red dress with a pair of calf high boots.
"Do I look hot or what?" Sakura asked with a wink.
"You're not just hot, you're smokin'," Naruto remarked.
"I knew you notice," Sakura said while smiling.
"Let's be on our way," Naruto said.
Sakura and Naruto left the house for the movies. First, they stopped at a restaraunt to eat. Sakura had some ramen while Naruto couldn't eat anything since he was dead. Next, they head to the shopping district to buy a few things. Afterwards, they headed for their destination. As they were talking, Naruto bumped into someone. As Naruto fell to the ground on his butt, he saw a man with black hair with motten chop-style sideburns. He wore a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and a pair of tan-colored boots.
"Gee, sorry, mister," Naruto said.
"It's all right, kid," The man said. "Let me help you up."
As soon as Naruto grabbed the guy's hand, he felt a flashback in his mind. Naruto saw a darkened house, he saw a teenager with bone-like potrusions coming out of his hands and impaling an attacker who just killed his father then slashed his accomplice in the face. Upon seeing this, his mother killed herself then a young girl wisked him away from the unfolded tragedy. Afterward, Naruto's mind returned to the present.
"Naruto, are you ok?" Sakura asked with concern.
"Hmm? Yeah, I'm fine," Naruto said then the man pulled him up.
"What happened, bub?" The guy asked.
"I dunno," Naruto said. "I just felt a little dizzy, that's all. See ya later, mister."
"Sure, have a good day now," The man said as Naruto and Sakura walked off. 'Why do I smell death and evil on that kid? I don't get it.'
Naruto and Sakura continued their way to the movies while their mysterious vistor disappeared into the crowds of the village and watched them. Sakura and Naruto arrived at the theater sometime later. They gave the usher their tickets and headed for the movie they were gonna see. For the last few hours, Sakura held Naruto's hand as they watched. After it was over, Naruto and Sakura decided to head on home but what they don't know was the side burn man they bumped into earlier looked at them in the shadows.
As they walked on home, Sakura had an uneasy feeling on her mind. Naruto looked at her as he asked, "Sakura, what's the matter?"
"I have this weird feeling we're being watched," Sakura said.
"Relax, sweetheart. Orochimaru or his damn goons aren't here," Naruto reassured.
"If you say so," Sakura said.
(Hokage's office)
Hokage Sarutobi was making preparations for an upcoming Chunin exam. Villages from various lands were gonna be arriving in Konoha within a couple of months. He seen many bright students come and go from the village. Sarutobi was hoping to see his grandson, Konohamaru, graduate from the Chunin exam but he wasn't gonna give him any special treatment. Of course, it still pained him to remember Naruto was killed during the Forest of Death test. Sarutobi knew Naruto would one day take his job as Hokage but thanks to his ex-student, Orochimaru, that dream was never realized. Not a day goes by when he doesn't think about Konoha's most gifted yet annoying student. Sarutobi had a strange feeling someone was intruding in his office. He saw a samurai dressed in silver armor stepping out of the shadows of the office.
"Sarutobi, I presume?" The samurai asked.
"Who the devil are you?" Sarutobi asked.
"I am Kenuichio Harada but I'm also known as the Silver Samurai," Silver Samurai saidl
"What do you want?" Sarutobi asked as he got up from his chair.
"I have no ill will towards you, old man," Silver Samurai said. "But my boss does and he wants you dead."
"Who might might that be?" Sarutobi asked.
"Me," An effeminate voice hissed.
"You!" Sarutobi exclaimed as he saw Orochimaru. "What the hell brings you here, Orochimaru!?"
"Why, Sarutobi-sensei, I'm hurt," Orochimaru said. "I haven't seen you for nearly fifty years and this is how you greet me?"
"Are you planning another foolish invasion?" The Third Hokage asked. "You won't succeed like you did last time!"
"I have no intention of invading this cesspool, Sarutobi-sensei," Orochimaru said. "I came here to kill you."
"I thought as much," The Lord Hokage said. "Orochimaru, you were my most prized student and a had ton of potential but you threw it all for your god damn quest for immortality and doing all these experiments."
"You've done nothing but hold me back," Orochimaru said. "While you were busy giving Tsunade and Jiraiya lessons, I wanted to be powerful."
"That's not true! I treated the three of you like equals!" Sarutobi declared. "You allowed power to go to your head and I've banished you from the Hidden Leaf Village forever because of that!"
"So!? I've taken a prize pupil and unlike you, I've taught him everything I know," Orochimaru said.
"Who might that be?" Sarutobi asked.
"Sasuke, of course," Orochimaru said as Sasuke appeared in the room.
"You bastard! You brainwashed him, didn't you?" Sarutobi asked.
"No, he came to me by his own free will," Orochimaru said. "He nearly defeated Naruto almost a year ago."
The Lord Hokage shook his head in disbelief. "Naruto's dead, fool."
"Au contraire, Naruto is quite alive," Orochimaru said. "He's not quite alive but he is here. Too bad you won't be around to see him again."
"If I'm gonna die, I'll die fighting," Sarutobi said as he removed his Hokage robe to reveal his black outfit underneath. "You'll see I still have some tricks up my sleeves."
"Then prepare to die, old man," Orochimaru said.
Silver Samurai drew his blade from its sheath. "Its been awhile since I last killed someone. Get ready to taste my kenjutsu!"
Silver Samurai did a few gestures while he raised his sword up high over his head. The sword gave off a light orange glow. He slashed the air downward as he shouted, "Hyaku Sakuchi!"
The orange arc zoomed toward Sarutobi but he quickly dodged it with ease.
"Nice attack but you can do better than that," Sarutobi said as he did the hand gestures for his Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique.
An array of shurikens were fired at both Orochimaru and Silver Samurai. The two villians dodged them as Sasuke looked on.
'For an old man, he is pretty tough,' Sasuke said mentally. 'But the Lord Hokage wouldn't last long against Orochimaru and Silver Samurai.'
"Hope you like this, Fire Release: Fire Dragon Flame Missle!" Sarutobi shouted as he spat out a flame thrower-like stream from his mouth.
Silver Samurai blocked the incoming flame with his sword, only to get a kick in the face from Sarutobi. Silver Samurai tumbled to the ground as Sarutobi said, "I can see you are a gifted warrior but you use your skills to harm people. Whoever trained you should be ashamed."
"Ha. I was trained by the finest of the Yakuza," Silver Samurai said as he got up. "They trained me to be the perfect assassin."
"You truly are a lost cause, my friend," Sarutobi said. "You could've help the people of your country but you chose to kill instead. That's something I will not forgive. Just like what Orochimaru had done."
"I never asked for your forgiveness, old man," Silver Samurai said.
"And neither did I," Orochimaru added. "You could've killed me all those years ago when I studied the Forbidden Jutsu but you didn't. You allowed me to escape."
"I'll never make that mistake ever again," Sarutobi said. "Now, prepare to die, my former pupil!"
"Then so be it," Orochimaru said.
Orochimaru did some hand gestures as he shouted, "Striking Snake Technique!"
Snakes formed around his left arm as they let out hisses. He launched the snakes at Sarutobi by doing a punching motion. The Third Hokage barely avoided the attack. Now it was time to even the playing field; Sarutobi summoned a long black staff and twirled it in his hand.
"Nice seeing you again, old friend," A voice said within the staff.
"Same here, Enma," Sarutobi said. "Now let's show these bastards what we're made of."
Orochimaru suddenly opened up his mouth. A snake slithered its way out of Orochimaru's mouth then coming out of the snake's mouth was Orochimaru's blade, the Kusanagi sword. He grabbed the weapon's hilt and licked its blade to the tip.
"You're going to be cut down, Sarutobi-sensei," Orochimaru hissed.
Silver Samurai ran at Sarutobi with his sword charged up with tachyon energy and tried to slash at the Third Hokage. Sarutobi blocked every blow and slugged him with his staff. He quickly retaliated by doing the hand gestures for his Triple Shuriken attack. Sarutobi blocked the incoming shurikens as he did his touki ikazuchi technique. Now enhanced with the power of lightning, Silver Samurai went on the attack. Orochimaru followed up with a Wind Release: Great Breakthrough attack.
Sarutobi was blocking Silver Samurai's lightning enhanced swings as he noticed a blast of wind ignited with fire coming at him. He pushed the evil samurai away and was hit. Sarutobi crashed onto his back as Enma said, "Get back up, Sarutobi and let me help you."
"Not yet," Sarutobi said. "I know a way to stop Orochimaru."
"What are you gonna do?" Enma asked.
"You'll see," Sarutobi said as he did his Shadow Clone technique.
"What are you doing?" Orochimaru asked.
"Something I have should've done a long time ago," Sarutobi said. "I am going to seal your soul with this technique."
"What?" Orochimaru asked fearfully.
"Prepare to die," Sarutobi said as he and his two clones did their hands seals to summon a demon wearing a white robe with a knife in its mouth.
"No!" Orochimaru screamed.
"What the hell is going on?" Silver Samurai asked.
"I refuse to let him seal me away!!!" Orochimaru screamed.
As his former teacher was attempting his Dead Demon Consuming Seal, Orochimaru levitated his sword and threw it at him. As if in slow motion, the blade plunged itself into the Third Hokage while he was sealing his former student. Noticing this, Enma morphed into his true form, a gorilla, tried to stop it from killing Sarutobi only to be restricted by the snakes that Orochimaru summoned. Enma was able to grab the sword's hilt to delay it long enough for Sarutobi to seal away at least a portion of Orochimaru's powers. Sarutobi let out a gasp as Enma removed Orochimaru's blade from his chest.
Sarutobi fell to the ground and looked at Orochimaru but he didn't see him as his killer but as the boy he once teached. He let out his final breath and sighed; The Third Hokage was dead.
Emna shedded a tear as he dropped the sword to the ground. After saying a few parting words, he disappeared. At long last, Orochimaru finally achieved his goal of killing his teacher and expressed no remorse for it, neither did Sasuke or the Silver Samurai since he didn't know him in life. Orochimaru realized the ANBU ops were on their way, he, Silver Samurai, and Sasuke hightailed out of dodge. The male and female ANBU ops saw Sarutobi's corpse lying on the floor. The word of Sarutobi's death spread quickly throughout the Hidden Leaf village like a virus.
Sakura and Naruto was wondering what was going on in the village and why everyone was so sad. They suddenly bumped into the man whom they met earlier in the day.
"You," The man said.
"Hey, what's going on?" Naruto asked. "Why is everyone looking so upset?"
"You didn't hear, kid?" The man asked. "Someone was murdered."
"Who?" Sakura asked.
"An old man named Sarutobi," The middle-aged man informed.
The news shocked them like a thunderbolt.
"You can't be serious," Naruto said breathlessly.
"I wish I wasn't, bub," The man said. "Do you know him?"
"Yes," Sakura answered for Naruto. "He was in charge of the whole village here."
"Who are you?" Naruto asked.
"Me? My name was James Howlett but everyone calls me Logan," Logan said. "My code name is Wolverine and I'm sent here to find you...Naruto."
"How'd you know my name, old man?" Naruto asked.
"Doctor Strange told me all about you, bub," Wolverine said. "So the Avengers sent me here to keep an eye on you and your old lady."
"Hey!" Sakura shouted. "I'm not old!"
"That's an ol' American term for girlfriend, sweetheart," Wolverine said.
"What brings you here, anyway?" Naruto asked.
"Word has it is some son of a bitch named Orochimaru has hired the Silver Samurai to murder Sarutobi," Wolverine said.
"What the fuck!?" Naruto exclaimed. "He had him killed!?"
"Got that right, bub," Wolverine said. "I came here to find Kenuichiro and take him down."
"That's Silver Samurai's real name!?" Naruto shouted. "I'll kill him and Orochimaru, too!"
"You don't know him like I do, kid," Wolverine said. "I had various run-ins with him over the years. He escaped from the Raft prison and hasn't been seen since."
"When I find him, he'll pay for what he did to the Hokage," Naruto said angrily.
"Bub, you leave him to me," Wolverine said firmly as he revealed his adamantium claws to Naruto and Sakura.
"What the fuck is that!?" Sakura shouted.
"My claws," Wolverine said.
"That must hurt," Naruto said.
"They do every time I use 'em," Wolverine said sadly as he retracted his claws.
"What about the Lord Hokage?" Sakura asked.
"Whoever this Orochimaru is, he might have some serious bad blood against Sarutobi," Wolverine said.
"I know who he is," Naruto said with anger. "He killed me a few years ago."
"You're dead?" Wolverine asked. "It's no wonder I smelled death on your ass, kid."
"Yeah, I am dead," Naruto said. "He killed me during the Chunin Exams."
"If you're dead then I can do this," Wolverine said as he formed a fist and plunged his claws through Naruto's head.
"Naruto!" Sakura shouted.
"Relax, honey," Wolverine said as he retracted his claws. "All he will get is a major headache."
"Dude, that wasn't cool," Naruto said.
Kakashi ran into Naruto and Sakura as he said, "Naruto! Sakura! I was looking all over for you. The Lord Hokage is..."
"We know," Sakura said sadly.
"Who told you this?" Kakashi said.
"I did, bub," Wolverine said.
"Who are you?" Kakashi said.
"I'm Logan but you can call me Wolverine," Wolverine said.
"Wolverine from the X-men?" Kakashi asked. "What brings you here?"
"I came here to find this little runt here," Wolverine said, pointing at Naruto. "An assassin called the Silver Samurai is coming after him. I have no doubt he was the one who killed your Hokage, bub."
"What about Orochimaru?" Kakashi asked.
"I'm sure this guy may have had a hand in it too," Wolverine said.
"He'll pay for that," Kakashi said. "This Silver Samurai you mentioned will pay dearly for killing the Lord Hokage."
Sarutobi's body was carried out to his grandson's home. The grandson of the Hokage was devistated to learn about his grandfather's death. Four days later, all of Konoha held a funeral for the late Hokage. Sarutobi's body was cremated and his ashes were giving to Kurenai and Konohamaru. Kurenai didn't get the chance to tell Sarutobi that he was gonna be a grandfather. Every person laid flowers on Sarutobi's grave and paid his or her respects. Naruto chose not to go because it would be too sad for him and he didn't want everyone to see him back on earth.
Naruto's quest for vengeance began anew when Sarutobi was murdered. Orochimaru and the Silver Samurai weren't going to get away for what they had done. And this time, Orochimaru won't escape from Naruto's wrath.
Meanwhile, Orochimaru gloated over the death of his ex-sensei. He didn't care about ruining the lives of those closest to the Lord Hokage. Now he was going to focus on getting rid of Naruto once and for all.
"Those sad little fools," Orochimaru said. "Wasting their empty little prayers. That foolish old man got what he deserved."
"Hmm," Silver Samurai said to himself.
"What's wrong with you?" Sasuke asked.
"He's here," Silver Samurai said.
"Who?" Orochimaru asked.
"Wolverine," Silver Samurai said.
"Wolverine?" Orochimaru repeated.
"Yes," Silver Samurai said. "I know he'll be coming for me."
"I'll destroy him too," Orochimaru said.
"You leave him to me. I know how he thinks," Silver Samurai said.
"You'll be getting some help from the Sound Four," Orochimaru said.
"Ha. I don't need help to destroy that bastard," Silver Samurai said. "I'll carve him down and display his body at my Kadokan."
"Oh, no," Orochimaru said. "You're going help me take down Naruto and this Wolverine since that old bastard sealed my powers. Now I require a new body to inhabit."
"I'm not your personal lap dog, snake," Silver Samurai said. "I answer to no one."
"Too bad," Orochimaru said. "I want you to train my Sound Four to kill Naruto and Wolverine, like it or not."

End notes: The first chapter of my Crow/Naruto sequel ends. You might wondering why I chose to cross Takai Kistune with X-men. I imagined Naruto joining forces with one of the most dangerous and popular characters in comics, Wolverine. Wolverine and Naruto are similar in many ways. For Silver Samurai, I thought he would be a perfect co-antagonist for this story and since this story is based on Naruto, his kenjutsu attacks will be based on attacks from Marvel vs. Capcom 2. Another thing I forgot to mention is Sarutobi's son, Asuma, is dead in this story. This sequel will also take place after the Civil War crossover from Marvel Comics. Now that Orochimaru has murdered the Lord Hokage, Naruto is bound to get his revenge but with the Silver Samurai and Sasuke on his side, our Fox/Crow avatar will have his work cut out for him. Will the combined might of Wolverine, Naruto, and Sakura bring them down? And will Naruto and Sakura finally save their old friend from Orochimaru?
