Author's note: Things have gotten off on a slow start but one review is better than nothing. Anyway, in the last chapter, Sarutobi was murdered by Orochimaru with the help of the Silver Samurai but the Third Hokage got the last laugh by sealing away part of his former pupil's powers. Now Orochimaru is focused on destroying Wolverine and Naruto once and for all. So prepare for some blood to shed in the second chapter of our Marvel/anime team-up. Now let's start the story.

Chapter 2:
Coming Undone

(Orochimaru's hideout, undisclosed location)

For the last couple of days, Orochimaru felt numbness in his hands; he couldn't move a finger or a thumb or even form a fist. Kabuto came to Konoha on short notice to find out about his condition. He did a test on his sensei's hands by pricking them with a needle to get a reaction, there no movement what so ever.

"Nothing?" Orchimaru asked.

"Nope," Kabuto said. "Your hands aren't moving an inch."

"How could this have happened?" Orochimaru asked.

"When Sarutobi attempted to seal you away, he may have took away your ability to use your jutsu," Kabuto said.

"That old fool may have got the last laugh on me," Orochimaru said. "If that's the case, you have to be my hands, Kabuto."

"You want me to help you preform your jutsu?" Kabuto asked.

"Yes," Orochimaru said. "Naruto and that mutant friend of his must die."

"I thought I told you Wolverine was mine, snake," Silver Samurai said as he came into the room.

"As long as you work for me, he's my problem too," Orochimaru said.

"Don't make me silence you, snake," Silver Samurai said as he pointed his blade at Orochimaru. "Your hands will be the least of your worries if you keep this up."

"I may have lost the use of my hands but I won't let that stop me from killing you," Orochimaru said.

"Stop this!" Kabuto shouted. "There's no need for you both to fight like this!"

"Very well," Silver Samurai said. "I'll have Wolverine and this Naruto kid dealt with. I'll contact my old friends at The Hand."

"The Hand?" Orochimaru repeated. "Who are they?"

"They're a clan of elite ninja assassins," Silver Samurai said. "They will kill you without you even realizing it. They busted me out of this prison called the Raft. They offered me to join them but I said no. I figured I owed them a favor, so I'll have The Hand take care of them."

"Good," Orochimaru said. "They better not fail me"

"The Hand always gets the job done," Silver Samurai said. "That I can assure you, snake."

(Konoha, Sakura's house)

Sakura sat against a tree in the front yard of her home with Naruto's head resting on her lap. Naruto was taking a little nap while Sakura ran her fingers through his spikey blonde hair. They were still saddened over the death of Sarutobi, the Third Hokage. They vowed to punish Orochimaru and his accomplice, this Silver Samurai, for killing him. Sakura hugged Naruto's sleeping body close to her as if she didn't want to lose him. Suddenly, Sakura heard bootsteps walking through the grass. She saw Wolverine standing over her and Naruto.

"You," Sakura said. "What are you doing here?"

"Kakashi told me where you and Naruto live," Wolverine said.

"What brings you here?" Sakura asked.

"I wanted to look for you and Naruto," Wolverine said. "See how you young'uns were doin' after all that shit."

"We're holding up," Sakura said. "But we are still saddened by Sarutobi-sensei's death."

"I'm sorry. I came here at a fuckin' bad time," Wolverine said. "Tell bub here to take care of himself."

Just as Wolverine was about to leave, Sakura said, "Wait."

"What do you want, sweetheart?" Wolverine asked.

"Mr. Howlett or Logan or whoever you are, do you have a place to stay?" Sakura asked.

"No," Wolverine said straightfowardly. "I'm pretty much camping out in the woods."

"Please," Sakura begged.

"Oh, all right. I wouldn't say no to a beautiful girl like you," Wolverine said. "I'll be right back with my things."

As James left to retrieve his stuff at his camp, Naruto woke up. Naruto rubbed his eyes as Sakura said, "You're awake."

"What did I miss?" Naruto asked.

"Mr. Howlett was here," Sakura said. "He's going to stay with us for awhile."

"For how long?" Naruto asked.

"Until he brings down that Silver Samurai guy," Sakura replied. "He seems troubled about something."

"Tell me about it," Naruto said. "I had visions of his past."

"What kind of visions?" Sakura asked.

"I seen him kill a man at his house," Naruto said. "That man killed his father right in front him and two other kids. His mom was crying then she killed herself."

"Why?" Sakura asked.

"I don't know but there was rage and sadness," Naruto replied.

"My God," Sakura said.

"Yeah," Naruto said. "I wonder if he would like to talk about it."

"I don't know about that," Sakura said.

"We got to try," Naruto said. "The man looks very sad."

A half hour later, Logan returned with his stuff. Sakura and Naruto looked at him with curiosity while he stood there.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Logan asked.

"I've seen visions of your past, Mr. Howlett," Naruto said.

"What are you talking about?" Wolverine asked.

"Your parents' deaths. You killing a man," Naruto said. "What happened during that time?"

Wolverine dropped his camping equipment upon hearing that question. "I don't want to talk about it."

"Open up, old man!" Naruto exclaimed. "I know you had some trouble back in that time! If you're willing to stay here, tell us about your past!"

Wolverine walked to Naruto and slugged him in the stomach as he said firmly, "I said I don't want to talk about it. I'd rather forget about that time of my life."

"You must forgive Naruto," Sakura said. "Sometimes he acts immature about things."

"It's ok," Wolverine said softly. "James Howlett died a long time ago and let's leave it at that, hon."

"Whatever you say," Sakura said as Wolverine gathered his things and walked into the house.

Naruto got up while clutching his stomach. He turned his head and looked at Logan angrily.

"Fuck, I just wanted to know about your past, asshole!" Naruto shouted.

"Naruto, stop this!" Sakura yelled.

"Wait, Sakura," Naruto said as he stormed into the house.

Naruto confronted Wolverine in the living room as he shouted, "What's the big idea!? I asked you about your past and you punched me! What's your problem, old man!?"

"I said I don't want to talk about it, bub!" Wolverine yelled. "That time in my life has come and gone, deal with it!"

"No! I saw flashbacks of your past, Mr. Howlett!" Naruto screamed. "I watched you murder the man who killed your father and watched your mom commit suicide!"

"Yeah, that son of a bitch Thomas Logan ruined my life!" Wolverine shouted. "He got what he deserved. I'd do it again too if he was still alive!"

Sakura ran into the house as she shouted, "Stop your arguing, you two!"

"I'm sorry," Wolverine said. "I just wanted to forget about that time."

"Please, Logan," Sakura said. "Naruto and I want to know about what happened in your life."

"Ok," Wolverine said in defeat. "Although I do look like a middle-aged man, I'm much older than I look."

"What do you mean?" Naruto asked.

"I was born in the 1800s," Wolverine explained. "When I was a kid, I was sick all the goddamn time. My father brought in a girl named Rose, no family, to keep me company. I fell in love with her. We had a friend named Dog, the son of our groundskeeper, Thomas Logan, and we'd play with him sometimes. Then things changed for the worse. It turned out my mother had been having an affair with Dog's dad and my dad found out. They got into a fight, Dog's dad and mine. Dog's dad killed him and the next thing I knew, I had these ---" Wolverine popped his claws "--- but they were plain bone, then, not adamantium. Didn't matter, used 'em to waste his sorry ass and slice up Dog. Then Rose and I ran away."

"Where'd you go?" Sakura asked.

"To a stone quarry in British Columbia," Wolverine replied. "I got a job there, under the alias of the man I killed."

"What about Rose?" Naruto asked.

"She got killed," Wolverine answered with bitter sadness in his tone. "It was my fault."

"How'd she die?" Sakura asked.

"She impaled herself on my claws," Wolverine said as he closed his eyes tightly to fight off tears. "I...I lost my mind and disappeared into the woods after that."

Wolverine's life story felt like ten thousand daggers piercing Sakura and Naruto's hearts. Sakura wanted to cry for the X-man and Avenger. They didn't know just how much James wanted to forget about that horrible time of his life and move on. Logan looked at the couple as he said, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you cry like this."

"I'm sorry that I brought back bad memories for you," Naruto said. "I should have remembered that I wasn't the only one with a bad past."

"What happened to you?" Wolverine asked.

"Well, There was a nine-tailed fox demon that nearly decimated this village sixteen years ago," Naruto said sadly. "My dad was Arashi Uzumaki, the fourth Hokage. He was responsible for sealing the Nine-Tailed Fox within my body at the cost of his own life. People started ridiculing me all because of that fox demon."

"Shit," Wolverine said as he retracted his claws.

"Shit is right," Naruto said. "I was somewhat of the village outcast during my childhood. No one didn't care about me. They pushed me aside and treated me like I was nothing."

"That's pretty hard, kid," Wolverine said.

"Yeah," Naruto said. "If those bastards had known I was the son of the fourth Hokage, I would've gotten respect around here."

"How did you come back from the dead?" Wolverine asked.

"The legend of the crow," Naruto answered. "The crow brought me back sometime before my burial and had me train for three years. I didn't realize the Nine-tailed Fox manipulated the crow's powers to take over my body until it was too late. That monster cost me my one chance at vengeance on Orochimaru and saving my friend, Sasuke."

"How were you able to free yourself from this demon?" Wolverine asked.

"I did that," Sakura answered for Naruto. "My love for Naruto freed him from the Nine-Tailed Fox's grip."

Wolverine smiled upon hearing that comment. "You must have a very profound effect on him. Prof. Xavier and Dr. Strange would have a field day with the two of you."

"Where do they live?" Naruto asked.

"They both live in New York," Logan said. "You both should go there sometime."

"Cool!" Naruto cheered. "I always wanted to travel the world!"

'This kid reminds me of Spider-man,' Wolverine said mentally. 'Great guy but can be annoying at times.'

(Cemetary)

Jiraiya and Tsunade were paying their respects to their late sensei, Sarutobi. Tsunade placed some flowers onto Sarutobi's grave while Jiraiya said a silent prayer. Kakashi came by after he visited the grave of his childhood friend, Obito.

"Kakashi, what brings you here?" Tsunade asked.

"I was visiting my friend, Obito," Kakashi said. "I wouldn't expect you and Jiraiya to be here."

"Sarutobi was more like a father than a sensei to us," Tsunade said. "He didn't deserve to die that way."

"Orochimaru will pay for killing Sarutobi-sensei," Jiraiya said.

"He wasn't the only one involved in the Third Hokage's death," Kakashi said.

"Who might that be?" Tsunade asked.

"An assassin dubbed the Silver Samurai," Kakashi answered.

"I've heard of him," Jiraiya said. "He's one of the most dangerous criminals in all of Japan."

"The Silver Samurai was hired by Orochimaru to go after Naruto," Kakashi said.

"What?" Jiraiya asked with concern.

"I know but someone came here to protect him and Sakura," Kakashi said.

"Who might that person be?" Tsunade asked.

"Wolverine," Kakashi said.

"Who's he?" Jiraiya asked.

"He's a member of the X-men and the Avengers," Kakashi said. "He is back at Sakura's home."

"I want to check on them to see how they're doing and not to mention meet this Wolverine," Jiraiya said.

Kakashi, Tsunade, and Jiraiya left the graveyard for Sakura's house. Little did they realize, they were being watched by ninjas dressed in red and black ANBU-style uniforms and wore forehead protectors with the kanji for hand on the metal plate of the headbands. Some of the ninja wore masks while some didn't. The leader, Tao, wore a lengthy red scarf that was swaying in the wind.

"We now know where that little brat is," Tao said.

"Damn, did you get a look at that blonde-haired chick?" A black-haired ninja named Jin remarked. "She's one hot fox and I bet she's a formidable doer of the nasty. Not to mention she's got a nice set of--"

Tao punched Jin in the mouth. "Shut the fuck up, Jin! Focus with your mind, not with your dick!"

"Always spoilin' my fun, Tao?" Jin asked rhetorically.

"Silver Samurai did ask us to take care of Wolverine and this Naruto kid," A blonde-haired ninja named Sanjiro said.

"Yes," Tao said. "We'll follow them but stay in the trees. We don't want anyone to spot us."

"Got it," a red-haired ninja named Kenshi said. "Those monkey bastards and bitches won't know what hit 'em."

The Hand jumped from the tree to follow Kakashi, Tsunade, and Jiraiya to Sakura's place. The three teachers arrived at the house around fifteen minutes later.

"Sakura, are you home?" Kakashi called out.

"Yeah, be right out!" Sakura declared.

"Got a visitor?" Wolverine asked.

"Yeah, it's Kakashi," Sakura said.

"I'll answer it," Naruto said as he ran for the door.

Naruto opened the opened the door as he said, "Hey, Kakashi. I didn't expect you bring Pervi Sage and Tsunade here."

"Nice to see you too, kid," Jiraiya said sarcastically. "Where's your guest?"

"Who?" Naruto asked.

"Wolverine," Kakashi said. "Jiraiya and Tsunade want to meet him."

"Oh, he's in the living room," Naruto said. "I'll show you."

The three teachers followed Naruto to the living room. Wolverine saw Naruto coming in with three people following behind him. He gazed at Tsunade or more accurately, her large breasts.

"Hi, my name is Logan," Logan said while looking at her ample chest. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

"It's nice to meet you too, Logan but my face is up here," Tsunade said pointing at her face.

Logan blushed a bit while scratching the back of his head. "Sorry 'bout that."

"You're not the only man who ogles at me," Tsunade said with an amusing grin. "I get the same looks from teenage boys."

"I think she means you, bub," Wolverine said to Naruto.

"Wha...I...heh heh heh," Naruto stuttered while he blushed.

Sakura shook in embarrassment.

"That Naruto," Jiraiya said. "He's starting to rub off on me. Naruto, if you so much as glance at another woman, I'll be all over Sakura just like that."

The comment resulted in Jiraiya getting his brains bashed in by Naruto and Sakura.

"Knock it off, Pervi Sage!" Sakura and Naruto yelled in unison.

"What a fuckin' moron," Wolverine said while shaking his head.

"You have to forgive him, Wolverine," Kakashi said. "Jiraiya has a thing for pretty girls, even though he is in his fifties."

"Ah, whatever. And please, call me Logan," Wolverine said.

"Mind telling us about yourself, Logan," Tsunade said.

"I'll be more than willin' to, darlin'," Logan said with his usual gruff charm.

Before Wolverine could tell his life story again, Naruto's crow flew into the house. The bird cawed to him as Naruto sensed trouble was coming.

"What's goin' on, bub?" Wolverine asked.

"Trouble," Naruto said. "Some group of ninja has followed Kakashi, Jiraiya, and Tsunade here."

"Let's check it out," Sakura said.

Wolverine and co. ran outside to see a group of ninjas dressed in red and black ANBU-style uniforms with forehead protectors with the kanji for hand on them.

"I should've known," Wolverine said. "The Hand is here."

"Who are they?" Naruto asked.

"They are an organization of dangerous and deadly ninja assassins," Wolverine said. "I've dealt with them in the past."

"So you're Wolverine," Tao said. "It's an honor to meet you. I'm Tao, member of the Hand and leader of Squad Alpha. We have some business with you and the blonde-haired retard."

"Don't ever call me a retard!" Naruto shouted.

"Silver Samurai and Orochimaru sent us here to destroy you," Tao said.

"I figured as much," Wolverine said as he unleashed his claws. "If you want get to the kid, you have to get through me first."

"And me," Kakashi added.

"Hmph. Very well," Tao said. "Boys, let's kill 'em."

"Good," Jin said. "I got dibs on the pretty girls over there. Ready for a three way, sweethearts?"

"Oh, we're ready," Sakura said. "We're ready to kick your ass."

"Oooh, I like it rough," Jin remarked while swishing his tongue across his lower lip.

"Guess that leave us with the retard and the pervert," Kenshi said.

"I am so sick and fuckin' tired of people always callin' me a retard!" Naruto shouted.

"You won't have to worry about that after we kill you!" Sanjiro shouted.

"I'm already dead!" Naruto shouted, dropping his glamor jutsu to reveal his painted black and white face.

"Just shut up and fight," Jiraiya said.

Wolverine clanged his claws together while Kakashi lifed his headband to reveal his Sharingan eye. Soon enough, the battle commenced. Tao did some hand signals to do one of the Hand's exclusive attacks. He stretched out his right arm with his left hand on his right wrist. Tao summoned a dark sphere with purple lightning bolts pulsating from it. Tao flung his right arm back as he shouted, "Dark Art: Dark Matter Shot!" and threw it at Kakashi.

Kakashi did the same hand signals and summoned a dark sphere of his own. He threw the shadowball at Tao's shadowball and canceled it out. Tao stared at Kakashi with shock and awe in his eyes.

"How could you learn that technique within five seconds?" Tao asked. "It took me five years to perfect it."

"Thanks to this eye," Kakashi said as he pointed to his Sharingan eye.

"Ah, the Sharingan," Tao said. "I thought it was exclusive to the Uchiha family."

"A dear friend of mine gave me this eye before he died," Kakashi said.

"Good for him," Tao said. "Let's see you can learn this, asshole."

Tao did hand signals for another jutsu attack. A blue flame emnated around his right hand. Tao raised his arm up high as he shouted, "Dragon Strike!"

Tao fired the blue flame up into the sky then a series of blue fireballs started raining down toward Wolverine and Kakashi.

"Look out!" Wolverine shouted while shielding Kakashi from the blue fireballs.

One of the fireballs slammed into his back, burning the back of his white t-shirt and his back. Wolverine let out a scream as his flesh was burned off. Kakashi moved away from Wolverine's body to see exposed meat and metal-laced bone.

"Fuck!" Kakashi exclaimed. "Are you ok? I'll grab some bandages and dress that wound!"

Wolverine grabbed Kakashi by the arm as he growled, "I heal real quick."

Wolverine turned attention to Tao as he let out a battle cry. Wolverine charged at the leader of Squad Alpha like a wild animal with Kakashi close behind him. Meanwhile, Sakura and Tsunade were fighting against Jin. Although this was a two on one fight, Jin proved to be a formidable opponent. He grabbed some ninja shurikens and threw them at Sakura and Tsunade but they quickly dodged them.

"Was that the best you can do?" Sakura asked.

"Oh, no. Here's one of my techniques," Jin said as he did some hands gestures and summoned a circle of fire. "Wheel of Fire!"

Jin shoved the flaming wheel at the two women. Tsunade and Sakura dodged it but suddenly stopped. What they didn't realize was Jin can control the Wheel of Fire with his chakra.

"You can dodge this all you want," Jin said. "But you sweethearts will never outrun the Wheel of Fire."

"There's gotta be a way to put that out," Sakura said.

"We'll figure it out," Tsunade said.

The Wheel of Fire spun faster thanks to Jin's control of his chakra. The Wheel of Fire zoomed toward Sakura and Tsunade but they barely dodged it by a hair. Jin moved his hands in rotating motion to make the Wheel of Fire go even faster. the flames of the wheel got bigger as Jin moved it toward the two female ninjas.

"I may have an idea," Tsunade said. "Try the Sakura Blizzard."

"What?" Sakura asked.

"Just do it!" Tsunade ordered.

Sakura grabbed a few kunai with exploding tags attached and threw them at Jin. He deflected the kunai causing the sacks to break all over him and his surrounding area. Sakura tossed a kunai with an attached exploding tag and ignited the gun powder. The resulting explosion caused a blinding flash to Jin, causing him to extinguish the Wheel of Fire. Jin rubbed his eyes as he said, "Very good attack, sweetheart but you're about to get one-upped."

Jin moved his hands to do another jutsu attack. His arms glowed a hellish red and black as he gave them an evil smirk.

"Dark Art: Crimson Darkness Punch!" Jin screamed as he ran at Sakura and Tsunade.

Jin fired fist-shaped energy blasts at the two ninja women as they dodged them. Naruto and Jiraiya fought against the brother team of Kenshi and Sanjiro. Kenshi and Sanjiro did a series of combo attacks on Naruto and Jiraiya for very much of the fight. But the Fox/Crow avatar and his perverted sensei did a few combo attacks of their own such as using the Spiraling Spheres. Even Naruto did his Shadow Clone Technique to keep the brother ninjas distracted.

"You fools have proven to be powerful," Sanjiro said. "Witness me and my brother's ultimate attack."

"Get ready!" Kenshi shouted as he and Sanjiro did hand signs for their power attack.

"Combination Transformation!" Kenshi and Sanjiro shouted then transformed into a two-headed dragon.

Kenshi and Sanjiro's dragon form had a snake like body with elongated arms and three clawed hands. The faces of the two-headed dragon were colored red and yellow. The dragon also had massive wings. The dragon looked at Naruto and Jiraiya as it said in the combined voices of Kenshi and Sanjiro, "Get ready to die."

"Oh, shit," Jiraiya said fearfully. "We're gonna die!"

"I don't think so," Naruto said.

"Ready to go for a ride, little retard?" The two-headed dragon asked.

The dragon scooped up Naruto with its claws and flew up into the sky. Sakura looked up to see a two-headed dragon flying toward the clouds with Naruto in its claws.

"No! Naruto!" Sakura screamed.

The dragon flew over a sea of trees as Naruto struggled to free himself from its claws. Naruto knew he couldn't defeat Sanjiro and Kenshi's dragon form, at least not by himself. He managed to break free from the two-headed dragon's claws and plummeted toward the ground within the forest. In midair, Naruto did his Summon Technique to summon Gamabunta. The Giant Toad King poofed out of nowhere and cushioned Naruto's fall.

"Why did you summon me, kid?" Gamabunta asked.

"Look," Naruto said as he pointed at the two-headed dragon.

"Oh, shit," Gamabunta said.

"Think a giant toad can defeat us?" The two-headed dragon asked.

"You shouldn't underestimate the toad," Naruto said as he pulled out some exploding tags.

Gamabunta spat oil while Naruto tossed the tags into the oil. The Sanjiro and Kenshi dragon was pelted by a series of fire bullets. The dragon let out a painful roar as pain shot through various parts of its body. The dragon crashed through the trees, creating a massive scar across the forest.

"A powerful attack from an insignificant amphibian," The two-headed dragon said. "Hope you like this! Double Dragon Fire!"

The twin-headed dragon let out a double blast of fire at the Toad King. Gamabunta hopped in the air as he shouted, "Water Style: Liquid Bullet!"

Gamabunta spat out a blast of water at the double-headed dragon. The dragon's fire was immediately put out as the dragon roared with anger. The dragon wrapped its serpant-like body around the large toad to choke him out. Gamabunta let out a few choked coughs while Naruto tried to hang on for dear life.

"Die, you son of a bitch!!" The Sanjiro/Kenshi dragon roared.

"I know we can beat these guys!" Naruto shouted. "There's got to be a fuckin' way!"

"Nar..Naruto! We need to do a Combo...nation Transform..ation," Gamabunta choked out.

"How?" Naruto asked.

"I...can't do this...by myself," Gamabunta said while the dragon's body wrapped tighter around his neck. "Just...put your...fingers together!"

"Ok, I can do this," Naruto said as he put his middle and index fingers together to do the jutsu.

"Combo..nation Trans...formation!!" Gamabunta blurted out.

Naruto and Gamabunta transformed themselves into the Nine-Tailed Fox. The dragon's eyes widened upon seeing the demon that once almost destroyed The Hidden Leaf Village. The fox demon let out a demonic growl as the dragon released his grip.

"What the fuck is that thing!?" The dragon screamed.

The Nine-Tailed Fox smacked the double-headed dragon with one of his nine tails. The dragon crashed into a small patch of trees near a lake. The Nine-Tailed Fox galloped and bit the dragon as soon as it was about to fly away. The two battling monsters would take their fight straight to Konoha.

Back at Sakura's house, Wolverine bashed Tao in the chest with his unclawed right hand. He unsheathed his claws once more to do his Bezerker Barrage attack.

"Beserker Barrage!" Wolverine shouted as he flayed his claws at Tao.

Tao avoided a few slashes from Wolverine's claws but he ended up getting slashed across his chest and stomach. Kakashi jumped over Wolverine and kicked Tao hard in the face. Tao crashed to the ground in a tumble. Tao let out a moan as he lasped into unconsciousness. Sakura and Tsunade were about to finish their fight with Jin. Tsunade did her Painful Sky Leg to knock Jin off balance while he did his Crimson Darkness Punch then Sakura delivered a knock out blow to Jin. Two members of the Hand Squad Alpha was defeated.

"Eat shit, you motherfucker," Wolverine said.

"What shall we do with them now?" Jiraiya asked.

"We'll contact the ANBU ops to take care of these guys," Tsunade said.

"Let's tie them up to make sure they don't escape," Kakashi said.

"I got that covered," Wolverine said as he went to retrieve some rope from the house.

"Toss it here," Kakashi said as Wolverine came out and tossed the rope to him.

Kakashi bound Jin and Tao to a tree. As Tsunade contacted the ANBU ops about what happened, Sakura asked in a concerned tone, "Where could Naruto be?"

"The two other members of the Hand carried him somewhere," Jiraiya replied.

"We gotta find him now!" Sakura declared.

"Where could the little punk be?" Wolverine asked.

"I dunno but we should head into the city just in case," Jiraiya said.

"Let's go then," Wolverine said

Wolverine, Sakura, Kakashi, Tsunade, and Jiraiya headed for downtown Konoha. In the downtown area, Hinata, Shino, and Kiba were taking Akamaru out for his usual walk. Suddenly, Akamaru was whining rather loudly.

"Akamaru, what's wrong?" Kiba asked.

"What's he scared about?" Shino asked.

"Guys, look!" Hinata exclaimed.

They saw a two-headed dragon and a fox demon with nine tails crashing into some buildings. The residents of Konoha ran for their lives as the two monsters were trying to tear each other apart. A crow flew toward Hinata and co. and cawed to them. Hinata somewhat knew what the bird was telling her and her two team mates: get out of dodge now. Hinata told Shino and Kiba they have get away as soon as possible before they could get killed by the ensuing monster fight. Team 8 ran as the buildings began to crash around them. Hinata, Shino, Kiba, and Akamaru ran into Wolverine, Sakura, Tsunade, Kakashi, and Jiraiya.

"Sakura, what are you doing here?" Hinata asked.

"Hinata, have you seen Naruto anywhere?" Sakura asked in a concerned voice.

"No but I did see a giant fox fighting a two-headed dragon," Hinata said.

"Giant fox? Naruto must be here," Wolverine said. "Hon, where's the giant fox and the two-headed dragon?"

"Over there," Hinata said, pointing to a billow of smoke up coming from the center of downtown.

"Let's go," Wolverine said.

They ran for the sight where the Nine-Tailed Fox and the Sanjiro/Kenshi dragon were fighting. The Nine-Tailed Fox smashed the two-headed dragon into a nearby building. The fox demon clamped its jaws into the neck of the red-headed dragon. The red headed dragon let out a painful roar as the fox demon bit down even harder. The red headed dragon let out a death rasp as it shook violently. After that, the red dragon head was dead.

"No, Kenshi!" the Sanjiro-half of the dragon shouted before it defused back into the two ninja brothers.

The Nine-Tailed Fox defused back into Gamabunta and Naruto. Gamabunta returned back to where ever he belonged as Naruto walked toward Sanjiro, who was clutching his brother's dead body close to him.

"Kenshi, no!" Sanjiro cried, looking at Naruto with anger. "You son of a bitch, you killed my brother! I'll make you pay!"

"Bring it on," Naruto said.

"Naruto!" Sakura's voice called out.

"Sakura!" Naruto cheered.

Sakura and Hinata ahead of Wolverine and the others to hug him. Naruto embraced both Hinata and Sakura. Out of nowhere, Sanjiro shoved Naruto and Sakura away and grabbed Hinata. Sanjiro put a kunai to her throat as he said, "You fools, you killed my brother and now I'm gonna kill this little whore."

"Naruto, help me!" Hinata pleaded.

"Let her go!" Naruto shouted.

"Pleading for her miserable life now?" Sanjiro asked. "If you come any closer, I'll slit her fuckin' throat."

"You little bastard, you don't have the guts," Wolverine taunted.

"Don't start shit, Wolverine," Sanjiro said. "I will kill her, I swear."

"I don't think so," Wolverine said as he walked toward Sanjiro and punched him in the face. "You ok, sweetheart?"

"Uh-huh," Hinata said as she ran toward Naruto and Sakura.

"You like to pick on girls?" Wolverine asked rhetorically. "Try and pick on me instead, bub."

Logan proceeded to beat the crap out of Sanjiro. He slammed the Hand ninja to a building exterior wall and punched him hard in the gut. He threw him to the street to beat him even more. Wolverine picked up Sanjiro and broke one of his fingers on his right hand. Sanjiro screamed as Wolverine punched him in the face. The mutant Avenger threw him to the ground then stomped him in the chest. Everyone shouted to Wolverine to stop his beating on Sanjiro but his rage made him deaf to their pleas.

"Any last words before I kill ya?" Wolverine asked.

"G-go fuck yourself," Sanjiro said as he spat blood in Wolverine's face.

"Tell Satan Wolverine send his regards," Wolverine said as he snikt his claws and raised his fist up high.

Before Logan could kill Sanjiro, Sakura grabbed his hand as she said, "Stop. There's no need for more blood, Logan."

Sakura's words snapped Wolverine out of his enraged state. "I'm sorry but sometimes I got to cross that line."

"No," Sakura said. "I don't want to see any more death today."

"He tried to kill that girl," Wolverine said, referring to Hinata.

"What would Rose say if she saw you acting like this?" Sakura asked.

Wolverine thought about it. As he looked at Sakura, a mental image of Rose appeared in her place. If Rose were alive to see him acting like an animal, Wolverine wouldn't live with himself and not to mention Rose wouldn't forgive him at all. He sent his claws back into the confines of his arm and released Sanjiro. Wolverine got up as Sakura released his arm. Everyone watched him walk off with a look of anguish on his face. Tsunade looked at him as he disappeared into the downtown district. Although she didn't know him that well, Tsunade wanted to cry for him. She wanted to run after him but something told her that Wolverine wanted to be by himself for awhile.

After all the chaos that went down, the ANBU ops captured the three surviving ninjas of the Hand's Squad Alpha while Kenshi's body was taking away to the morgue. Later on that day, Hinata came over to Sakura's house to thank Wolverine for saving her life. Sakura told her he wanted to be alone but she would gladly pass on her message to him. Wolverine sat on the bed of the guest bedroom. He was still haunted by the words that Sakura said to him. During his one hundred plus year existence, Wolverine hadn't hesitated in murdering villains or anyone who committed evil acts but now, he found himself questioning that method. Wolverine lay himself down on the bed and drifted off to sleep.

In Sakura's bedroom, Naruto sat on the edge of the bed as he thought about what happened today. Sakura came into the room, wearing a pink nightie. She hugged Naruto from behind as she asked, "What's going on, babe?"

"I was thinking about Logan," Naruto said. "He really is troubled about his past, ya know?"

"Yeah," Sakura said. "It seems you and him are similiar in many ways."

"Like how?" Naruto asked.

"The two of you have had bad pasts and were treated very badly by everyone," Sakura said.

"At least he didn't have a demon sealed in his body," Naruto said.

"True but he does have his own demon to face," Sakura stated. "Rose's death still haunts him even to this very day and who knows what other crap he went through."

"Yeah," Naruto said. "I want to know more about this dude."

"Right now, we'll leave him alone," Sakura said. "No sense in bothering him now."

"You're right," Naruto said. "But I can't help but feel sorry for him."

"Let's discuss this in the morning," Sakura said. "Goodnight, Naruto. I love you."

Naruto smiled. "I love you too, Sakura."

Naruto turned out the lights and lay himself down on the bed. He went to sleep with Sakura sleeping on his chest.

Endnote: This ends chapter 2. I originally didn't want to write the second chapter of this story until chapter 2 of DeathMetal Alchemist was done but it had to be done. I hope you all enjoyed this action packed second chapter of this story. The reason why I wanted to team Naruto up with Wolverine was because these two characters had many tragedies in their lifetime. Sure they do have differences such as Wolverine is known to be serious while Naruto is known to be a goof. Anyway, Wolverine and Naruto have managed to defeat the Hand but this isn't far from over. What does Silver Samurai and Orochimaru have planned for our heroes? Also, I changed the look of the Hand. Since this story takes place in the Naruto anime/mangaverse, I thought it would be nice to have their uniforms be based on the ANBU ops.
