The Great Konoha Sleep-over

"All Konoha Genin (and Shikamaru) under the age of 18 are to report to Hokage-sama at once..!!"

 

 

"Bro!! You're gona train with us today, right??" chanted the young trio led by Konohamaru, startling an unaware Naruto who up until now was enjoying a quiet ramen.

 

"Nan-datte bayo?! You just can't eat in peace at Ichiraku's anymore..." he thought as he wiped soup off his orange jacket.

 

"HAHA everyone! As if I'd forget something like that!! Of course we're training today. I'm gona teach you guys a technique worthy of the 1st Hokage himself" Konohamaru's face lit up at once

 

"Worthy of the 1st Hokage, huh...?" Naruto resumed the consumption of his breakfast and in no time he had burped the last gulp...

 

"Alright, let's go..!!”

 

"OK Leader..!!" The Konohamaru corps followed like ants and they set off for a day's hard work.

 

*JUMP JUMP JUMP* the four friends leaped over rooftops (as shinobi do) Naruto in front. As they neared the woods, Naruto suddenly stopped

 

"You guys, did you hear someone calling my name?" he questioned his subordinates

 

"no, I didn't hear anything, bro" answered Konohamaru. Moegi and Udon both answered the same and they all looked around. In the distance, Shikamaru could be seen walking around in search of something, or someone.

 

"OIIIII Shikamaruuuu!!" Naruto called out and ran over... "Hey hey" Shikamaru sighed, "tsk, troublesome... Where have you been all morning.. Hokage-sama couldn't find you to deliver a message"

 

"Message?" asked Naruto, scratching his head "I left before dawn to catch the early bird special at Ichiraku's, so whoever came probably missed me...” "Jeez... Such a troublesome guy... all Genin were summoned to Hokage-sama, I'll explain on the way...We're late"

 

"Hey, Naruto wait up!!? What about our training??" pleaded Konohamaru, he was in tears. Moegi had committed suicide and Udon was drawing for his razor blade ruler.

 

"Oh man, sorry guys, I'll definitely train with you when I'm done on this mission and that's a promise, ok?!" Naruto and Shika ran off back towards town...

 

Meanwhile:

 

"M'Oi, Hinata what's this about?"

 

"I don't know, Kiba-kun..."

 

"Shino, what do you think?"

 

"I've no idea either, Kiba"

 

"hmm...”

 

Kiba and his team were the first to arrive. The hall was all but deserted, several older Genin were on the opposite side talking amongst themselves...

 

*Raff Raff* barked Akamaru pathetically, someone was coming

 

"Heh Heh, who's this then eh?" smirked Kiba.

 

Ino and Chouji suddenly appeared at the doorway, Chouji wolfing down a gigantic slice of cake. "God damn it, slow down Chouji you're embarrassing me...” Ino cursed as she popped a lollipop into her mouth and the two went over to join Team 8.

 

Soon after, Konoha's number one hard worker showed up, none other than Rock Lee accompanied by Neji and Tenten who were deep in a one-way conversation. Neji looked more than irritated by Tenten's presence and incessant jabbering and didn't seem to be paying much attention. They joined the rookies over in the corner, Lee greeting them all with a thumbs up.

 

Eventually all the rookies had arrived, Sasuke accompanied by a smiling Sakura, un-caring of the fact that Naruto was nowhere to be seen when they knocked at his flat earlier.

 

"Have you seen Naruto about?" Sasuke asked Lee, who replied he hadn't.

 

"We couldn't find Shikamaru either...” piped up Ino grasping at any opportunity to talk to Sasuke.

 

Just then, two out of breath figures appeared at the entrance to the hall. "Huff huff, are we late??"

 

"Yes you ARE, Na-Ru-To...!!" Tsunade's voice boomed out, filling up the entire hall making everybody flinch.

 

"I didn't even sense her approach...” thought Sasuke.

 

She was stood directly in front of everyone, upon a small stage.

 

"What took you so long Shikamaru... Surely Naruto couldn't be that hard to track down...?” she teased.

 

"Don't underestimate me, Granny-Tsunade!!" Naruto rolled up his sleeve and shook his fist at her.

 

"Anyway... moving on to more important matters, you might be wondering what i have summoned you all here for. Well, as part of the newly signed peace treaty between Konoha and Sand, we have organised a "friendly relations building exercise" to build up friendly relations with the Sand Genin. In other words, everybody, we'll be having a big sleep-over!!"

 

"Whah?!?" everybody was dumbfounded... "An inter-village sleep over?"

 

"The Sand Genin will be arriving around 12 noon and staying for the weekend at the Konoha hotel complex, you are all to prepare a bag and be at the hotel to greet our guests by 11.45, the time now is 11.20, so that leaves you-"

 

"Twenty five minutes!!" blurted out Lee, whose eyes were literally glowing with excitement.

 

"Alright everybody, you are dismissed"...

 

The rookie 9 and the other Genin left the hall in mixed emotions, "What the hell kind of waste of time is this?" thought Sasuke...

 

"Another troublesome weekend..." sighed Shikamaru, however nobody disobeyed…
