Alright, here's chapter 12!! I JUST realized, after re-reading my chapters taht i got the time things ALL WRONG!! SO! let me get it straight.

Rayne moved to Leaf when she was 1 and a half, not 3 and half. They then had Mitsu and they did were NOT there when the Kyuubi attacked the village. they missed, all of it. the Kouseki clan had nothing to do with it. THEN when Rayne was 7 and mitsu was 3 then Kouseki clan was massacured, k, NOW i got the facts all right so let's go on with the story!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Chapter 12: Number one Hyperactive Lousy Ninja…

 

"So, it looks like my thoughts were correct," Kakashi spoke.

"Thoughts?" Tazuna echoed.

"About the masked kid...we were right on the target," Sasuke said not taking his gaze away from the boy in the hunter-nin mask.

"Huh?" Sakura asked confused.

"So being a Hidden Mist hunter-ninja was a complete act?" Tazuna asked.

"Seriously, don't you guys ever pay attention?" Rayne shifted her gaze for a second to Tazuna and Sakura then returned to watching their enemies. "Obviously, the boy's Zabuza's comrade."

"How dare he show up like this after the stunt he pulled," Kakashi said.

“And hiding behind that mask, who does he think he's fooling?” Kakashi continued.

“Speak for yourself Kakashi-sensei.” Sakura said while sighing.

“I'm taking him out." Sasuke stated.

"How come you get all the fun?" Rayne smirked from beside Tazuna.

"Who does he think he's fooling, hiding behind that mask like some sort of clown." Sasuke said glaring at the boy in the mask.

"You're so cool Sasuke-kun!" Sakura said squeeling. Rayne rolled her eyes.

“Wait a second, didn't I just say that?” Kakashi thought with a sweatdrop. Rayne patted him on the back, moving next to him.

“There there Kakashi-sensei, I think you're cooler than Sasuke. Since you did say it first and all.”

"He is quite impressive," Haku commented from the other side of the battlefied. Zabuza smirked,

"We have the upper advantage."

“Upper advantage?” Rayne thought narrowing her eyes.

"Go..." Zabuza ordered. In a flash Haku was gone. “Holy crap, he's fast!!!” Rayne's eyes caught the blur of his clothes, but that only. She turned her attention to Sasuke, who seemed to be able to catch the boy's movements. Sasuke held two kunais in front of himself.

INARI'S POV

I was in the bathroom, washing my hands, my mom wanted help in the kitchen. Suddenly I heard the crash of what sounded like plates. Seconds later the sound of my mother's scream reached my ears.

“Mom!” I ran down the hallway and peered into the kitchen. Two large men with swords hovered over Mom, who was on the ground.

"Mom!"

"No Inari! Run! Get away!" Mom shouted to me. The two men turned to look at me.

"A kid eh? Should we take him too?" the large guy with no shirt on asked to the other guy who wore a purple jacket.

"We only need one hostage," the other man replied. I took a step back. “Hostage?”The man with no shirt began to unsheathe his sword,

"Then, should I kill him?" I gasped and hid half of my body behind the wall that separated the rooms. The man smiled, reflecting of the blade of his sword.

"Wait!" Mom yelled. Everyone's attention turned to her.

"If you touch him, I'll bite through my tongue and die in my own blood! You need a hostage right?" The two men smirked. The large man resheathed his sword.

"Thank your mom kid," the man in the purple jacket said looking at me. Tears streamed down my face. My knees collapsed from underneath me and I fell, tears falling on the floor.

"I wanted to cut something."

"Give it a rest, you've cut enough today," I heard the two men talk.

"Mom...I'm sorry," I cried as her hands were tied and she was lead out of the house.

"I'm so weak...I couldn't protect you," I cried to myself, my back against the wall.

"I don't want to die...I'm afraid..."

“You little sissy!” The voice of Naruto echoed through my head, “Look at you crying, like some sorry little victim! An idiot like you should just keep crying!”

"Naruto, you went to far!"

"Or not far enough..." The images of Rayne and Naruto ran through my mind. I looked at my hands. The words of father, the image of him, it all came to my mind. The sight of everyone, everyone who tried so hard to be strong.

“No it's my turn to be strong”

"Get your hands off of my mother!" I yelled. The two men and mom turned around, looking at me. We stood on the bridge, the one connecting our house to land.

"Inari!"

"So, it's the kid again?" the shirt-less man said amused.

"I said, get away from my mom!" I yelled charging. Mother was knocked out and the two men unsheathed their swords. I closed my eyes as the glint of metal appeared.

BACK WITH THE TEAM

The rest of team seven watched the face-off between Sasuke and the masked kid. Now we knew his name as Haku. Sasuke's kunai was blocking Haku's tracking needle and vise-versa.

"Oh, so he can keep up with Haku's speed?" Zabuza observed.

"Sakura, Rayne, keep guard over Tazuna. Sasuke'll handle the boy," Kakashi ordered. Rayne and Sakura nodded. The both of them stood side-by-side in front of Tazuna and watched Sasuke block Haku's attacks over and over again.

"I don't want to have to kill you, but you're not going to stand down are you?" Haku asked. Sasuke smirked,

"Glad I didn't have to tell you."

"Ah but the problem is, you won't be able to keep up with my speed next time. I have two advantages now."

"Two advantages?" Sasuke echoed.

"The first advantage, there is water on the ground. Second, I have occupied one of your hands. Now, you will only be able to run from my attacks." Haku began doing handsigns. Sasuke's eyes widened.

“What?!” Sasuke thought with his eyes widening.

“There's no way! I don't even think Kakashi-sensei could pull off jutsus using one hand!” Rayne looked over at Kakashi, his face full of shock. Haku finished his handsigns,

"Secret jutsu: Flying Water Needles!" Haku stomped his right foot on the ground and all the water began to rise, circling around Sasuke and Haku.

“So, he doesn't want to kill?” Zabuza thought. Rayne watched as the water turned into individual needles. Sasuke closed his eyes and concentrated. Sakura gasped as the needles quickly darted down.

INARI'S POV

A thunking noise was heard. The two goons turned around to find they had sliced a log.

"Kawarimi no Jutsu (Body-switching skill)?"

"Sorry for being late.... but the hero always shows up last second." I opened my eyes. As I was set down I looked up.

"Naruto!" Naruto grinned down at me,

"Inari...good job. You distracted those two idiots long enough for me to save your mom."

"Naruto, how did you know to come?" I asked.

"As I was heading to the bridge, I saw a boar who was sliced to bits. I looked around noticing the trees in the same position. The pattern seemed to head to your house so naturally, I followed and looked what I found," Naruto explained.

"So, it's one of those `ninjas' Tazuna hired," the guy with no shirt said, stroking his small beard.

"Let's get him," the other one said and they charged at Naruto. Naruto smirked and threw two shuriken at them, but the goons deflected the shuriken with their swords.

"That's not going to stop us!" one of them called, but Naruto just smirked. I watched in amazement as the shuriken poofed into two Narutos and kicked the men in the heads. The men fell to the floor, knocked out. The two other Narutos disappeared. I turned to Naruto,

“T-that, that was amazing!" I exclaimed. Naruto laughed,

"I did it!" He punched out his fist. I grinned.

"Naruto, you were just like a ninja!"

"Duh, that's what I've been saying all along!" The two of us laughed.


BACK TO THE TEAM

Haku jumped back as the needles hurtled toward the bridge. Mist rose up and Rayne and Sakura couldn't see what happened. Suddenly shuriken were shot at Haku, who dodged every one. Rayne looked up.

"You're pretty slow," Sasuke smirked as he appeared right behind Haku. "From now on, it'll be you running from my attacks." The two charged at each other. Haku blocked a punch from Sasuke but Sasuke threw the kunai in his other hand. Haku backed off to dodge. Haku ducked but recieved a kick to the face and skidded back to Zabuza.

“Wow, when did Sasuke get so fast...?” Rayne whispered lightly.

“When he trains, obviously.” Sakura stated prideful.

“It's like he's your kid or something…”

“Haku lost in speed?” Zabuza asked himself, astonished.

"Looks like I have the advantage in speed," Sasuke spoke.

"You see,you really shouldn't underestimate my students. Sasuke is the Leaf Village's top male rookie, while Rayne here is the top female," Kakashi said, his hand indicating her. "Sakura is one of the brightest minds of Konoha. And then there's my last squad member; the show-off, hyperactive, number one loudest ninja in the village, Naruto," Kakashi said to Zabuza.

INARI'S POV

Naruto sneezed.

"You know, they say that when someone is talking about you, you sneeze," I told him.

"Nah, I don't believe in that. Anyway, Inari, I'm sorry about yesterday," Naruto said.

"Why?" Naruto turned his head and grinned at me.

"For calling you a sissy. It's not true, you're really brave." He ruffled my hair. My lip began to quiver and tears blotted my vision.

“Darn it!" I rubbed my eyes. "I told myself I wasn't going to cry anymore!"

"It's alright when you're happy..." Naruto said. I looked up at him. He grinned at me.

“It's okay to cry when you're happy."

"Naruto..." Tears streamed down my face.

"Listen, I have to go to the bridge now, can I trust you with everything here?" Naruto asked me.

"You bet!" Naruto smiled and began running off.

"Man is it tough being a hero."

"Believe it!" A grinned as he ran off.

THE TEAM

Zabuza opened his eyes that had been shut for a moment.

"Haku...at this rate, we will be driven back."

"Yes..." Haku stood up as blue started to surround him.

“Is his chakra that powerful that you can see it!?” Rayne thought

"I'm sorry about this," Haku said. Suddenly it got really cold, as if someone had shoved you naked into a freezer.

"What....what is this chill?" Sasuke asked, his breath visible. Haku made a single handsign. Sasuke's head turned around as ice rose up from behind him. Moments later, rectangles after large rectangles of ice started surrounding Sasuke, making a dome.

“What kind of jutsu is this!?”

"Secret jutsu: Demonic Ice Mirrors," Haku said. Rayne gasped as Haku stepped into one of the "mirrors" and started appearing in all of them. Her eyes narrowed and she took off towards Sasuke.

"Keoko!" Kakashi shouted and took off after you.

Zabuza appeared right in front of Kakashi as you ran past. "Your fight is with me. Against Haku's jutsu, your boy is finished."

"Sasuke!" Rayne ran up to the dome but stopped as she sensed something.

"Shall I begin? I'll show you my real speed," Haku's voice echoed. In blinding speed, thousands of needles started hitting Sasuke, slashing his clothes and his body.

"Sasuke!" Rayne yelled. She knew the same fate would befall her if she stepped into the dome, but she couldn't watch as her helpless teamate was cut to death. Suddenly, she got an idea.

“Sasuke!” Saskue looked up at her to see that she was doing handsigns. He nodded and started to do some himself. Suddenly, a hand came out and tried to stop her, Rayne jumped back but was caught.

"That won't work," came Haku's voice and she was sucked into the mirror. But as soon as it had happened it stopped, but now she found herself in the dome as well. Rayne looked over to Sasuke who was kneeling on the ground. She got up to run to him when needles attacked once more. Rayne and Sasuke cried out in pain as both of them protected their heads.

“W-where are they coming from!?” Rayne and Sasuke felt the needles pierce over their body. Rayne closed her eyes and reopened them to show her kekki genki. She then turned her attention to one gap in the dome. Sakura had thrown a kunai and it was hurtling straight towards them. But suddenly the kunai was caught, in the same way her arm had been stopped by Haku. The needles stopped but Rayne and Sasuke watched at Haku's head appeared out of the mirror and he raised the kunai. Rayne and Sasuke were helpless, she slowly raised herself to her knees, but what good was that going to do? Out of nowhere, a shuriken flew and hit Haku in the face. The impact made Haku fall right out of the mirror he was in. A big explosion of smoke appeared somewhere outside the dome.

“That idiotic…” Kakashi thought looking at the scene

“Show-off...” Sasuke thought, blood trickling down his face.

“Hyperactive....” Rayne thought getting up slowly

“Number one loudest ninja...” Haku thought also standing up.

"Uzamaki Naruto," Naruto himself said, the smoke clearing. All the smoke from Naruto's "grand enterance" cleared away to show Naruto smirking.

"Now that I've arrived, everything's going to be fine!" Naruto declared.

"Naruto!" Sakura shouted with relief.

"Usually, in this type of story, the hero comes late...and kicks the enemy's ass!" Naruto said, smirking and clenching his hand into a fist.

“That...idiot!” Both Rayne and Sasuke thought. Weakly Rayne took unstable steps towards Sasuke. She reached to her knees and pulled out a few needles making it easier to move. When she reached Sasuke she kneeled down by him, for he was still laying on the ground. He had an annoyed look on his face, probably from Naruto.

“What an idiot. What kind of loud entrance was that? There's no point unless you sneak up on the enemy!” Kakashi thought, head bowed. Haku looked at Naruto.

“That kid..”

FLASHBACK
Naruto was sitting upright looking at Haku, not knowing it was him of course.

"What are you doing out here this early in the morning?" Haku asked.

"Training!" Naruto responded.

"Training? What for?"

"Because I'm going to become stronger!" Naruto proclaimed.

END OF FLASHBACK

"So here we go!" Naruto formed a handsign. "Shadow clone-" But he was forced to stop, for Zabuza threw several shuriken at Naruto. Naruto froze and stared in horror.

"Get out of the way Naruto!" Kakashi shouted. But before the shuriken hit, four needles made contact with the shuriken, making them fall harmless to the floor.

“Nani!?” Zabuza voiced your thought.

"So the enemy blocked the other enemy's attack!?" Tazuna asked in shock.

"You idiot Naruto!" Sakura shouted from beside Tazuna.

"What kind of idiot would use a jutsu right in front of an opponent?" Naruto took a step back from Kakashi's words.

"The true ninja art is trickery, you must fool your opponent! Even if it's just one jutsu, you have to confuse the enemy. You need to sneak up on them to catch them off guard. From the way you entered, it's like you showed up to be the target," Kakashi lectured.

"No way!! I just came to save-!!" Naruto held his head in stupidity. Rayne looked at Haku. Kneeling next to Sasuke, she had the perfect side view.

“But why did he stop Zabuza's attack. That could have been lethal, Naruto would have been out of the way...”

"Why did you do that Haku?" Zabuza asked. Rayne couldn't see Zabuza when she glanced in the direction of his voice. So she changed her attention to Haku again for the answer.

"Zabuza, this kid.....Please let me fight him in my own way," Haku spoke. Her expression changed to anger. Zabuza closed his eyes.

"So you do not want me to interfere...Soft as always eh Haku?"

“Soft!?! I have a crap load of needles sticking out of my body!!” Rayne looked down at her body as she pulled a needle out of her arm. She examined all the cuts and narrowed her eyes.

“But he didn't damage any critical areas....” Sasuke was now kneeling next to her. He glanced at your wounds then at his, thinking the same thing. Rayne looked Haku again.

"Well then...I'll just have to defeat you first!" Naruto exclaimed, pointing a finger at Haku.

“That moron...” Rayne voiced out for both Sasuke and herself while closing her eyes. Sasuke sigh and glanced at her.

“You okay?” He asked. Rayne opened on to see Sasuke holding her writs, looking at the long cut in between her forearm.

“Fine.” She replied but wince once Sasuke applied presser.

“Hn. You're not fine.” Sasuke then looked at Haku again and narrowed his eyes. “We need to get out of here…. What's with your eye?”

“It's the Kouseki clan's kekki genki. It allows me to see heat. See, that's the real mask kid `cause he has heat but the others don't. When he moves, he moves so fast I could only see the blur of the movement moving back and forth but I don't know how to hit him.” Rayne explained with Sasuke nodding in understanding.

“There's no way...This Haku kid is too much for Naruto..” Kakashi thought to himself. Kakashi took a step forward, knowing he had to help. But Zabuza stepped in front of Kakashi.

"Remember, if you try anything, I'll kill the old man," Zabuza spoke. Kakashi narrowed his eyes then glanced behind him. “Right...if I go towards Naruto, Zabuza will go after Tazuna...” Kakashi's gaze then turned to Sakura, who had her attention on Naruto. “Sakura's fiesty but there's no way she'd stand a chance against Zabuza... and with Rayne fighting with Sasuke, that just puts us more at a disadvantage.

"Why don't we just watch the kids fight it out?" Zabuza suggested, smirking under the bandages that covered half of his face.

"That mask...so you were Zabuza's friend. How dare you trick us!" Naruto said angerly.

“How many times does that have to be repeated? We've heard it about a dozen times now.” Sasuke silently agreed with Rayne.

"I am sorry...but as your sensei said: tricking the opponent is the true art of the shinobi. Don't hate me for it," Haku spoke calmly. Rayne watched as Sasuke pulled out a kunai.

“You shouldn't be so relaxed!” Sasuke yelled in his head and threw the kunai at Haku. Rayne's eyes widened as Haku simply stepped back and the kunai went right past his face.

"Huh?" Naruto turned his attention to the direction the kunai came from.

“Ray-nee-chan? Sasuke-teme?”

"I haven't forgotten about you two," Haku said not even facing them.

“I wondered where they went...so they were in there the whole time?” Naruto questioned himself. Haku turned slightly and faced you and Sasuke.

"I would have liked it if you stayed down, but it doesn't seem like that's going to happen. Fine then, let's finish things between us first."

"Hey!" Naruto shouted as Haku walked away. Haku stopped in front of a mirror.

"Naruto...we'll settle things later." With that statement, Haku stepped into the mirror. Rayne and Sasuke stood up as Haku appeared to you in the mirror. Rayne looked around her, not seeing any other images of Haku. She reached to the holster on her leg and pulled out a shuriken. Sasuke followed suite and reached for his kunai pouch.

"Over here." Rayne gasped when she heard Haku's voice behind her. She spun around.

“H-how'd he get over there so quickly!?” Rayne quickly started to do handsigns while glancing over her shoulder to find Haku don't from that mirror. Seconds later, images of Haku appeared in all the mirrors. Sasuke tensed up, knowing what was going to happen. Rayne jumped in front of Sasuke and stepped back, making their bodies very close.

“What are you doing?!” Sasuke shouted taking a step back.

“Stay still and think of a plan!” Rayne countered, following his step to close the gap between their bodies. Just a thousands of needles came, Rayne shouted,

“Suiton: Suijinheki” Water from the river came and protected them from the needles. Sasuke's eyes widen and he started to do hand signs himself, his hand in front of Rayne since he didn't have room to do it between them. Naruto gazed in, but took a step back when the water wall went away and he saw what looks like Sasuke hugging Rayne.

“Katon Goukakyuu no Jutsu!” Sasuke shouted, Rayne ducking and moving out of the way before Sasuke blew fire from his mouth toward the ice. When the fire cleared, the ice was undamaged.

“That won't work on me.” Haku's voice echoed. Suddenly, they were attacked by the thousands of needles like before. Both of them cried out in pain.

“This damn jutsu...I can't figure it out!” The needles stopped and Rayne and Sasuke flew back. Rayne landed on your stomach as Sasuke landed on his back. She winced as she looked up at the mirrors.

"Sasuke!" Sakura shouted.

“Rayne!" Naruto yelled. Naruto stared in horror. “W-what just happened?” Raune struggled to her knees. She stared at the ground as she began to cough up blood. Sasuke was sitting up already and turned to her,

“Rayne?" She wiped at her mouth.

"I-I'm okay..." she said turning her gaze to the ice mirrors, her kekki genki off. Sasuke looked to the mirrors as well.

“What is this? The only thing I can think off...”

“Clones? There could be a clone in each mirror, all throwing needles at the same time...” Rayne thought to herself, trying to figure out this mirror.

“But the attacks are way too fast for that...”

“I can't even see where the attacks are coming from....”

“Plus, if they were just clones...”

“What's the use of the mirrors? Unless he just wanted to trick us, but still....”

“These mirrors must be part of his attack...”

“The only thing that can be done...is if there is an attack from the inside and the outside..” Kakashi thought.

“They have to figure out the trick to those mirrors!” Sakura thought.

“Rayne and I can attack from the inside...” Sasuke began.

“And then Naruto can attack from the outside...” Rayne finished. She and Sasuke looked at each other. He reached for his kunai pouch as she clutched the chakram she kept by her side.

"Hey! I came to save you!" Rayne and Sasuke spun around to see Naruto with a stupid grin. Her eye began to twitch.

"You bakka!!" Sasuke shouted, refraining from beating Naruto to a pulp. Kakashi and Sakura held a I-can't-believe-you-just-did-that expression.

“You're supposed to sneak up on your enemies… not your allies…” Kakashi sweatdropped.

"Y-You total moron!!" Sasuke shouted at Naruto as Rayne rubbed her temples.

"What!? I come to save you and this is what I get!?" Naruto shouted.

"You just made the situation worse!" Rayne yelled frustrated.

"Why'd you come inside the mirrors!?" Sasuke cursed and looked away. "You're an idiot..."

"You're the idiot, idiot!" Naruto shouted. Rayne anime-teared. “Why me?”

“That's the number one hyperactive ninja for you. He comes to help and makes things worse…” Kakashi thought with an annoyed expression. Sasuke stood up.

"That's it! I'm getting rid of these mirrors!" Sasuke started doing handsigns. Rayne smirk and stood up as well, after swaying a bit she closed her eyes then also started to do handsigns.

"Fire style!"

"What are you going to do?" Naruto asked. Naruto looked from Rayne to Sasuke.

"Fire phoenix bird jutsu!” Rayne's bird like in a phoenix came to her arm. Rayne, with her kekki genki glanced around the mirrors.

“There!” She shouted and the bird flew toward the mirror. Sasuke pinched his thumb and index finger together, forming a circle, and put them to his mouth. "Grand fireball no jutsu!" he shouted and fire came from his mouth. Sasuke's fire went down a minute later and Rayne called back her bird.

“No way!” Sasuke's fire hadn't done anything and her bird only managed to melt of the corners and put a few cracks in the ice.

"Your attacks didn't do anything at all!" Naruto shouted standing up.

"Obviously Sir StateTheObvious!" Rayne yelled frustrated.

"You cannot melt my ice with that kind of fire power," Haku told them. The next thing they knew, Haku raised his hand with needles.

“Not again...” But as soon as she got that thought out her, Sasuke and Naruto were hit sending all three of them flying backwards. Sasuke laid on the ground on Naruto's right with Rayne on his left. Rayne winced as blood ran down her arms and face. Naruto quickly shot up.

"Dammit, where are the attacks coming from!?" Rayne weakly clenched her stomach and sat upright. With one eye closed, she looked around, examining each mirror. Sasuke sat up as well as Naruto stood up.

"Is he using Shadow Clones? Where's the real one!?" Naruto shouted.

"Trying to follow me with your eyes is useless," Haku calmly stated. Naruto angrily made a handsign. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

"No Naruto!" Rayne and Sasuke shouted. Too late, about ten Narutos appeared. They all leapt at the mirrors.

"I'm going to smash down all these mirrors til I find the real one!" Naruto shouted. They saw a faint blur before all the Narutos disappeared into smoke. Naruto yelled out and came crashing to the ground next to Rayne and Sasuke.

"This jutsu allows me to transport myself to other mirrors," Haku explained as Rayne helped Naruto to sit up.

"From my point of view, the three of you seem to be moving in slow motion," Haku continued. Rayne's eyes widened. Kakashi's eye widened as well.

"This jutsu...a kekki genki!?"

"Kekki.....genki?" Sakura echoed turning to face Kakashi as Zabuza chuckled.

"The same as my Sharingan...a deep bloodline trait. It's a jutsu only passed down by your ancestors," Kakashi explained.

"So.."

"Yeah, not even my Sharingan can copy this jutsu..."

"Damn it..." Naruto cursed looking at the ground. Rayne and Sasuke looked over at him.

"I don't care what your jutsu is! I refuse to die here! I have a dream I must fulfill...." Naruto looked up at Haku. "A dream to have everyone acknowledge my strength! And the dream to be Hokage!"

“Dream?” Haku thought.

It was winter, a little boy in raggedy clothes sat on a deserted bridge.

The kid looked up as he felt someone there. A younger Zabuza stood there, looking at the boy.

"Such an unfortunate child." Zabuza walked closer to the boy and kneeled down. "A brat like you isn't wanted by anyone. You will die with neither freedom nor dreams."

Zabuza's eyes widened as the little boy smiled.

"Mister..you have the same eyes as me."

 

"Becoming a true shinobi is difficult for me. If possible, I do not want to kill you, or have to have you kill me. But, if you come at me, I can destroy my kind heart with a blade and become a true shinobi." Sasuke and Rayne's eyes hardened as they listened to Haku.
