A/N: Thank you to all who reviewed and it was you who made it possible for me to release chapter 2 so soon. I will say so in more chapters, but I would like to ask here as well. How frequent do you want the updates? I could update everyday but the chapters will be shorter, or I could update once every 3 days, for slightly longer chapters. Ill leave this choice up to you because I don't particularly mind either way.

Chapter 2

**

Tsunade let out a long sigh. Today had been a long day. Not only had Naruto defected from the leaf, but she was now up to her neck in paperwork. In addition to that, she had to do all in her power to make sure the council didn't send the ANBU after Naruto. Sure, he was now a Missing-Nin, but she couldn't just condemn him to death like that. No matter how strong Jiraiya had made him, he still couldn't stand against a full squad of ANBU and survive. But what concerned her most was the note that was left for her.

 

Flashback

 

Tsunade had been doing anything but paperwork the moment Kakashi burst into her office. But of course, she didn't show that.

 

“Kakashi, I was so busy doing my work I have now lost my train of thought. Maybe you should do my paperwork now?” Tsunade said with a bit of hope.

 

“Hokage-sama, Naruto has left the leaf.”

 

Now THAT caught Tsunade's attention.

 

“WHAT!”

 

“Sasuke confronted him on a nearby rooftop but was knocked out. The way he told me, it seems as if Naruto is a lot stronger then he has been letting on.”

 

“Oh, so Naruto beat the Uchiha?” Tsunade had a smirk on her face. For some reason, she found this highly amusing.

 

“Well, I guess”

 

“So, when did this happen?”

 

“Earlier this morning, he couldn't have gotton far. If you would let me go and retrieve-“

 

“No, you will not. This must not go past this room. Until I understand the full reason why he has left, I do not want you to go after him until I fully understand the situation. Understood?”

 

“Yes, Hokage-sama” To tell the truth, all he wanted to do was ignore the Hokage's orders and race out of the leaf to retrieve his lost student. But somehow, he didn't think it would be good to ignore Tsunade's order. She was scary when she was mad.

 

“Unless we have a full understanding of the situation, we can't be sure of his motives. Normally, with Missing-Nin, we hunt and kill them as fast as possible. But, Naruto has always been dedicated to the leaf. Always protected it. I don't think Naruto would act so hastily without a good reason.”

 

“Riiight” Kakashi said, getting more and more impatient with the Hokage's ramblings. “Oh and one more thing, Sasuke gave me this note that was addressed to you.”

 

“Hmm? I would have thought that you would have at least tried to take a peek.”

 

“Well besides the fact that that would be an invasion of privacy, there seems to be some kind of advanced Genjutsu protecting it”

 

Tsunade took the note out of Kakashi's hand and prepared her mind for the task at hand. Genjutsu usually were hard to counter at this level. But when she started opening it up, she found that it did just that. Opened up.

 

Kakashi sweat-dropped while Tsunade glared at him.

 

“Hey, he might have made it so only you could open it.”

 

“Idiot, that fact alone is painfully obvious. Alright, thank you Kakashi, I will have a mission ready for you in a few days time. You are not to leave the village. Also, tell Sasuke that no-one is to know what transpired today. You are dismissed”

 

“Right” Was all Kakashi said as he pulled out his infamous orange book and walked out the door.

 

Tsunade slowly began reading. But what she came across puzzled her.

 

Lady Hokage,

 

The reasons for my defection are not because of my hatred towards Konoha, but instead of my hatred towards an organisation known as Akatsuki.

 

I really would rather not explain it here, but perhaps you should know…

 

When the numbers that rule are united again, the ultimate power is born.

 

It is unknown whether I will return or not. If all goes well then the Jinchuuriki will stop being hunted, and become feared. I have tried being friendly, have tried my best to help people. But I have grown tired of this. Im dropping the mask of Naruto and becoming `The Ninth'

 

When you next here this name. It won't be of happy and peaceful nature. But of terror and pain.

 

Do not send any Ninja after me. If you do, I will kill them all.

 

The Ninth

 

At the bottom of the page was an unusual symbol. It was the Kanji for demon.

 

End Flashback

 

Yes, Tsunade was having a terrible day indeed. It wasn't because a once faithful shinobi had now been lost, but it was because of how he sounded. He was always so loving and caring. Now he sounded bloodthirsty, and almost a little scary.

With Naruto

**

As Naruto leapt from tree to tree, he let out a rather large sneeze and lost his footing.

 

“Dammit” If he was right, then they were just figuring out he had left. On one hand, he was rather happy with himself for his `cool' departure. On the other, he was slightly nervous about the first Jinchuuriki he would encounter.

 

Naruto had determined that Gaara would be the first he would get to join him. Not only because he had no idea where any of the other Jinchuuriki were, but because Kyuubi told him that Akatsuki collected the Bijuu in order. And if that were right, Gaara was in the most danger.

 

Just as he regained his footing, a kunai flew past his head and landed on the tree behind. He easily jumped out the way of course, and when next he knew, he was surrounded by 4 ANBU Black Ops.

 

“Oh, so Konoha ANBU aren't as lazy as I thought” Naruto inwardly smiled at the chance to follow through on his threat. After this, the leaf would surely forget about him.

 

“Damn you demon. How dare you betray your village and your comrades” The biggest ANBU, who was present when the Kyuubi attacked, was glad that the brat had decided to show Konoha who he truly was.

 

“As soon as we heard it from Sasuke himself, we followed you. Filthy little brat, ill teach you to learn some respect-“

 

Naruto, however wouldn't let him finish. And as soon as he finished that last word, he jumped at the ANBU so fast that he couldn't react. Lodging a kunai into his heart, the ANBU fell over, dead.

 

“Respect? Just like you all respected me? You are all to confident in you abilities and that will be you downfall”

 

The other ANBU were to say the least, shocked. This Genin had just taken down an ANBU member, the most elite shinobi of the Leaf Village. Noticing that they were distracted, Naruto saw this as a chance to use his latest technique.

 

He pulled out the majority of his ninja tools and tossed them into the air. Almost immediately, he started rotating them with his chakra, making them spin around in a sphere of blue chakra.

 

The ANBU came back to their senses and now noticed the demon was preparing to attack. But just as they were about to strike, they became aware that the kunai and shuriken were dripping with something.

 

Having seen that they noticed it, Naruto smirked.

 

“It is oil. I applied it to these weapons just for this technique”

 

After spinning the weapons into a prefect sphere, he stopped and let it stay in the air while he began doing hand signs.

 

“Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu”

 

Just then, a ball of fire erupted and lit the ball of chakra on fire. The fire, now being fuelled by the oil, was still in the perfect sphere, though the kunai were pointing inwards.

 

Regaining his control over the ball, he smiled and announced his jutsu.

 

“Fire Style: Molten Lava Prison”

 

Caught off-guard, the remaining ANBU were trapped in the sphere of chakra and fire, and were now being slowly burnt to death. Naruto raised his hand and opened it.

 

“This is the end. I will see you all in the next life”

 

Suddenly, he closed his hand, and the kunai and shuriken on the inside shot at the ANBU, instantly killing them from the force that they were thrown. Naruto left them to be incinerated in the fire.

 

He smiled to himself, admired his handiwork for a bit, before leaping off.

A/N: The Jutsu that Naruto used towards the end was a variation of the Rasengan, Water Prison and the Sand Burial. This Jutsu could have been performed with just the Fire, but the effect was intensified when Naruto added his own chakra. This chakra however, helps with the second part of the technique. Using the same technique that Gaara uses to crush his enemies in sand, Naruto can make the Ball of Fire, Chakra and Ninja tools implode into itself, thus making the Kunai and Shuriken shoot at the enemy.

 

I hope that this explanation was well explained. Also, as many of you should know, this was my first fight. And however short it, it did prove 1 thing. And that is how much Konoha underestimate Naruto
