Wow I think I just did it right. Well I own Rennik and his squad so.... ya dibs.

Yay we finally get to find Rennik in a fight during this chapter.

The short walk to the forest was quick and full of props for Rennik. The Tamakis were practically worshipping him now. After all he had been the sole reason they made it through the first exam. The praising died down as the Tamakis began boasting the the remaining teams and talking about girls and crap I really didn't pay attention too. My gaze had shifted to Ino. She looked troubled by something so Rennik decided to go and talk to her. A short distance away from her he heard a commotion behind him. Taking a glance he wasn't surpised. The Tamaki brothers had gotten into quite a wrestle with eachother. "I'm sorry Ino", he mumbled inaudably to himselfself. Turning to break up the fight.

After another round of wise cracks and fart jokes from the Tamakis the overly boring explanation of the second exam was over. Though we all were coming to the slow conclusion that theres a chance we might not be walking away from this exam. I'll admit it, we're not that great of a combination. Three shonobi with their only good combat skills lying all in tai jutsu. At least I will be able to put my medical jutsus and survival skills to some use. I signed the waiver without thought and continued with my team to get a scroll. We handed in our forms and recieved our earth scroll. The Tamakis shot me a glance, nodded to eachother and handed me the scroll. "Look Rennik you are the smartest and probably the biggest key to our success so we will be guarding you fiercly. Thats why you should take the scroll seeing as we're already going to be protecting you." I was slightly stunned. They never trusted me with this kind of responsibility. Come to think of it no one ever trusted me with this kind of respoinsiblity.

"Umm it makes sense but if anyone gets on me its likely I won't be able to do much" Sad but true.

"Yes but don't think we're letting you out of our sight." "Ya we're dumb but we're not that dumb." They turned and left the booth after I tucked the scroll away. I followed them closely as we reached our gate. We were all trembling with anticipation. The Tamakis were dead silent, a trait they rarely expressed. A drop of sweat traced its way down the center of my forehead and continued its quest down my nose. Surprisingly I found myself thinking about Ino.... I hope she'll make it through. My thoughts were interupted by the opening of the gate. The Tamakis smiled at me and prepared to storm off.

"Wait guys lets take it slow and save up any potential strength we can use in a fight." They nodded and slowly began walking in flanking either side of me with watchful eyes. The first day was uneventful we set up camp in a large hollowed out tree and ate some rations we brought along then drifted off to sleep. Haru was on watch for half the night which would switch to the other brother halfway through leaving me a restless sleep. I woke to Kanaru shaking me and Haru gently. It was morning and we needed to locate a target. Haru yawned, "Morning"

"We should get a location on a target guys." I announced ready to go when I heard Haru's sotmach rumble. "Nice Haru", His brother carcastically cheered.

"I'll go find us some food guys", I mumbled strolling out of the tree and scanning the area for signs of animals worthy of eating. A cats paw print caught my eye. I realied on my inherited tracking skills the one thing my father left me before he died to locate the animal with ease. It was a cougar. It seemed to be limping as well. The hind right leg. A fracture or light break seeing as theres no blood. I easily tracked the slow animal down and found it sleeping against a tree. I easily performe a coup de' grace and brought the animal back to the tree. Kanaru had started a fire and Haru was following me the whole time. We ate as well as we could from our small fire. I finished before my team and began to eliminate any traces of our existance in the are when I saw it. A piece of black cloth was stuck on a flower bush. I motioned to the Tamakis who quickly came over. "Guys we have a squad do north of here I signalled to the cloth and the track I found. Its got a small scent of perfume about it so we're dealing with any one of three squads. We are either on the tail of those sand-nins or one of the rookie teams." I began to eliminate possibilities. The sand-nins seemed to be highly professional i doub tany trace of them would be left so clearly. Sakura was wearing that red dress and its unlikely her short pants cuaght on to a thorn this low to the ground. Leaving either Ino or Hinata's squad left. Ino.... My heart warmed and my fatigue faded just thinking about her. I hope its not her squad but if it is I will assure no harm comes to her. "They passed through here a little before we settled down by the looks of it. We should keep our distance as to not let them no we're onto them and wait for them to engage in a fight. Than whoever wins will be tired and easy to eliminate.", I explained to my team mates so we set off after the other team. It had been another day and night of following their traces. I saw another trace left behind this one sealed my fears A single beautiful golden hair. Its Ino's team. No I would never be able to bring myself to harming Ino. I will have to buy some time and hope we find another target. I quickened pace soon followed by my team. We continued at our fast pace until Kanaru broke the silence with what I didn't want to hear. " Hey.... We've been here before. Are you lost Rennik?" Soon followed Haru "Ya I remember this place too whats wrong?" We continued in silence for a minute. Just as Kanaru was about to mutter a word I found a life saver. "There!" I yelled pointing towards a broken branch. "That was fine when we passed through here an hour ago. We're being taled. Just as I suspected." I recieved shocked looks from the Tamakis and had effectively covered my ass. We immediately began to set up for an ambush.

"We're catching up the team leader from the village hidden in the waterful perked up." I hope we weren't made he chuckled to himself. Though our quicken in pace startled him he was convinced these leaf nins would be easy pickens. I just hope they have that earth scroll then we can blow this hell of a forest without sticking out our necks too!! He was dazed. Whats going on. He felt himself fall to the canapy floor. No. He slowly regained vision glancing to the left and immediately realizing what had happened. They back tracked and found they were being tailed. Whatever traps they used it effectively knocked me out for a bit. He was flashed of steel in the canopy the fight must've already started. Gotta get up. I can't be beat by these amatures. He slowly rose to his feet regaining his sense quickly he darted into the tree tops. He immediately assesed the damage. One of his members succesfully avoided the traps but the other was hit with a powerful jutsu for he wasn't using the left side of his body. This doesn't look good at all.

Worked like a charm. Soon the two stronger water-nins would be feeling the effects of the numbing traps I created from some nearby herbs. One was already getting hit by it in full. It would only last ten minutes but the blast effectively took one of them down a few notches. Yet after the numbing wears off they will feel its full potential. Kanaru lunged forward at the only ninja that dodge the traps unleashing a powerful barrage of kicks. Haru leaped forward catching the shinobi Kanaru was fighting in the side with a powerful kick which in turn proppeled him into the numbed water-nin. He then launched a powerful punch catching the startled ninja on his left snapping him into a daze in which he was easily finished off with a right hand chop breaking the water-nins right arm before he could react. The water-nin passed out and fell from the trees. I charged the dazed leader and unleashed my own barrage of punches and kicks. I soon went on a full defensive lacking in the area of tai jutsu but buying time for the Tamakis to take out the other water-nin. The leader was fearsome and powerful. He landed a few hits on my stomache and a powerful kick into my chest sending me crashing into a tree. My last glance insured i had bought enough time as the water-nin even at 100% could not withstand the power of two tai jutsu masters. I recovered my self as quick as I could taking note the broken rib as I went into shock. This leader was powerful I lunged again and again. Catching nothing but his blocks and air. None of us were landing much at all but the small we were was going to be enough. Just then the leader landed a powerful kick on Kanaru propelling himself into the air in which he unleashed a volley of kunai. Some had hit Kanaru but Haru was fine. I immediately averted my attention to slowing Kanarus bleeding. It was simple enough. I turning just in time to catch the laste of the leaders hand signs. He grinned as 10 clones of himself spawned. Just as I thought a water jutsu. The clones insantly persished not recieveing enough water power to hold form. Shocked the leader began to look very dehydrated. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME" He yelled. "Heh that blast you got hit by was no ordinary blast. It was a powerful herb smoke that when inhaled cuases massive dehydration followed by a slow in reflexes. This fight was over before it began!" I triumphantly called to him. He began pleading for his life. We had no intention of killing him. It wasn't part of the mission. "Your scroll and you can live" Haru growled.
The leader gave the scroll up. A heaven scroll luck would have it. Our eyes lit up as the leader turned to his team and began his looking over them. We hadn't done enough damage to kill them but enough that they were going to fail this exam. I returned to Kanaru calmly laying on the branch.

I picked him up and we went a mile further into the forest before stopping so I could heal his wounds. Haru handed me the scroll. Kanaru wounds weren't bad and considering the foilage in the area I could speed up his recovery in no time. I healed him as much as I could with my jutsu leaving red dots where the kunai hit in the process mending my rib as much as possible. "Haru give your brother some water. I am going to collect some herbs to help us recover so we can get out of here faster." Haru did as I said and I went off into the forest. Two thirds of the exam had been done now all that remained was getting to that tower.
