Timeline: This chapter takes place during Naruto's time at the academy.
It was a delicious lunch for Naruto. His one and only favorite ramen was his choice of food. He was just enjoying the feeling of a full stomache. He sighed completely taken in by his own little world when he realized his name was being called.
"Naruto!!'', Sakura growled.
"What?" Naruto cautiosly asked flashing his trademark smile. Oh jeez I wonder what I did this time...
"Hurry up we have to get back to class." Sakura stated agitatedly. She impatiently grabbed him and dragged him to class all the while wondering why she tried to hang out with this loser."Naruto you are so worthless you shouldn't be wasting your time trying to be a ninja."
"Oh ya! Just wait till tomorrow I'll do something crazy. Believe it!".
Sakura saw what had happened all right. What was he trying to prove by putting grafitti all over the Hokage carvings? That he was a complete idiot that has no sense of art? Hmph he'll never be a ninja she laughed to herself almost to class. She lost herself in her thoughts and suddenly found herself falling. SMOOTH SAKURA HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO IMPRESS SASUKE WHEN YOU CAN'T EVEN WALK!?!?!?! She scolded to herself picking up her books. A pair of hands reached down and started helping her gather her books. She looked up and saw a kid about her age. He offered his hand to help her up. She took it. "Wow I'm so dumb" she stated uncomfotrably. The kids was ordinary short blonde hair not style in any way in particular. Plain clothing white shirt and tan shorts. The kind of guy who could really get lost in a crowd. Very plain face, but his eyes. The only feature that made him different. A normal pupil, but surrounding the pupil was a yellow sun and surrounding that was a dark blue. It could be mistaken as looking at the sun itself just without the side effect of going blind. She realized he was staring at her. Two suns burning into her skull. She broke the silence. "Umm are you new here becuase I can show you to your class', she offered hoping the suns would shine somewhere else.
"No but if you want to help it would be great if I can get in that door behind you....", He stated cooly.
Sakura turned around realizing that was the door to her class and feeling so stupid for not realizing that was what he was wating for. "Way to go Sakura", she mumbled to herself. " So when did you start going to Iruka sensei's class?"
The blonde replied in an unsuprised tone, "I've been in your class the whole year."
Your on a roll Sakura three to zero stupidity wins. "Well I'm Sakura"
"Thats great I'm Rennik" he stated in an annoying tone,"and we share something in common. We're late but if we act now we might get to class today!"
"Right I'm so sorry" she turned and opened the door walking in and taking her seat all the while cussing herself out for being so dumb. All this went away when she gazed upon her idol Sasuke Uchiha.

It was a cool morning. Dew resting on the leaves. Rennik was thinking to himself as he walked towards the leaf village. He lived alone in a mansion left to him by his dad who went to fight a battle he couldn't win against a demon who couldn't be killed. His mother died giving birth. He wasn't saddened at all by it though he looked up in the sky at a few passing birds. No they don't matter anymore. What matters now is this final exam. I have to pass it, my future depends on it. I really hope I don't run into that pink haired girl. Its bad enough she never noticed him before but now she might try to talk to him to make up for it. He sighed as he entered the class room waiting for his turn to do the final exam.Iruka explained that the final exam would be a clone jutsu. No problem he thought to himself. One by one the names were called off until it was just him and the other blonde. The screw up Naruto. The prison for the demon that killed his father. He didn't hate the kid though. After all hes just a prison the murdering bastards inside. Snapped out of his thoughts by his name.
"Rennik it is your turn for the exam." Mizuke-sensei called. Rennik followed Mizuke into a decent sized room.
Rennik standing in the middle of the room formed the simple hand sign and created four clones with ease.
Iruka stood up "Great job Rennik you pass!. Please come up and take a headband."
Rennik leaned against the academy avoiding the crowd of students over joyed with passing the final exam. Naruto caught his eye sitting on the swing. No head band. Nope I didn't think he would pass. What a loser. He has the Nine Taled Fox inside of him and he can't even perform a simple clone jutsu. As pitiful as it is he felt bad for the kid. Naruto's dream was a big one kinda like his own. The only difference is Rennik was one step closer to his dream.
