Chapter 10

 

“Yes, for pities sake, stars, circles, squares, triangles, octagons, whatever!” Church yelled angrily. “GO!”

Caboose ran of once more and Church sighed.

Sasuke bent down and kissed Naruto softly.

“Can you quit that?!” Church complained.

 

Naruto's mind…

Naruto looked around. Where was he? Two voices reached him. He slowly walked towards the voices. Suddenly light flooded the place (It was dark…duh…) he was in.

 

(YOUR MIND! YOU IDIOT NARUTO!!!!! Naruto: I'm not an idiot! How was I supposed to know I was in my mind?!)

 

Naruto gasped. There stood him and Sasuke when they were both five. The two of them were playing in the sand at the beach. He loved this memory. They were both building a giant sand castle, the castle they said they were going to have when they grew up and got married.

Naruto just stood there and watched. He missed Sasuke.

Naruto's mind end…

 

Sasuke grabbed the first aid kit from Caboose and quickly began to treat Naruto's wound.

Church watched with interest. “Why do you care about him so much?” he asked. “He seemed like a spoiled son of a bitch to me.”

Sasuke whirled around and Church suddenly found himself looking at the barrel of the shotgun.

“Shut your mouth or I'll blow it off.”

Church wasn't stupid. He put his hands up in self defense. “Sorry.”

Sasuke turned back to Naruto and after a few minutes of silence. “He cares about me.”

“What?” Church asked.

“My brother…when I was little he killed my father and mother. My father was the king at the time so my brother betraying the kingdom was a huge thing…I guess no one really knew what to do with me because they just sort of left me alone. No one would talk to me because no one cared.” Sasuke sniffed. “I was outside on day when I met Naruto. He was the princess from the neighboring kingdom. Yeah that's weird I know but they never had a girl so they made him princess because he was a lot like a girl, in a weird sort of way.”

Church blinked. “So you fell in love with him.”

“Yes…we're going to get married this spring.” Sasuke closed his eyes smiling dreamily.

“Congratulations!” Caboose said cheerily.

At that moment, Naruto started coughing. Blood spluttered around, but then he drew a breath and opened his eyes.

“Naruto! Princess!” Sasuke exclaimed.

“Prince Sasuke…I…I need to tell you something…” Naruto whispered.

Sasuke leaned in. “What is it?”

“I…I…Forgive me…” Naruto's tear rolled down his cheeks.

“You don't love me?” Sasuke went pale.
