Chapter 32

“Why'd you save the kid?” Tucker asked. “I thought you hated him.”
“I do.” Church answered.
“Then what you did doesn't make any sense.”
“I think he's the only one who can get Naruto back. We've all seen what that demon can do and now O'Malley has it, the most evil person around.”
“But you saw Naruto shred his shoulder; he doesn't recognize him at all.”
“We'll just wait and see…” Church said.
~
Church finally finished bandaging the wound. Sasuke lay on his bed, a pained expression on his face.
“Poor kid…”
Church turned to look at Tex. “Why are you here Tex?” Church asked with sudden anger.
“I'm not going to hurt him if that's what you're thinking.”
“Then why are you here?”
“I saw what happened.”
“So?”
“I want to help.”
“Why?”
`Well, frankly your team just sucks without me.”
Church growled but turned to the bed when he heard Sasuke move. “Kid?”
Sasuke had turned away from him, laying on his side.
His shoulders shook as silent tears wracked his body.
“Sasuke…” Church said helplessly. He had no idea what to do.
“I'll take care of him.” Tex whispered in his ear. “You leave.”
“But…”
“I can handle him. Go!”
Church sighed and walked out the door shutting it behind him.
“What's going on?” Tucker asked.
“Tex is going to talk to him or something.”
“What, are you crazy?! Did you forget what Tex almost did to him?!”
”I believe her, she said she wouldn't hurt him and I believe her. Don't go in there.” Church ordered as he walked away.
“Fine.” Tucker sighed.
~
Tex sat at the edge of the bed, just waiting for Sasuke to speak.
“He attacked me…and….enjoyed it.” Sasuke mumbled. “The demon knows who I am……he's never hurt me before…….he almost killed me….”
“He didn't want to hurt you.” Tex said soothingly.
“He sure looked like he did.”
“Well are you going to still try and get him back?”
“Of course……..I love him.”
“Then you better hurt up and heal, because he's waiting for you.” Tex said as she got up and left the room.
