Chapter 33
“Are you sure you're up to this?” Church asked yet again.
“Yes. I need to do this. I need to save him.” Sasuke took a deep breath. He was still hurt pretty badly but was persistent about going out to O'Malley's base again.
In just a few hours they were back on the road, heading back to O'Malley's base. Sasuke looked startlingly pale, but he kept walking. Tex was right behind him, seemingly worried. Church was behind the two with the map, and Tucker was in the very back. Caboose was left behind to do the laundry. But what he didn't know is that it wasn't really laundry, it was a notebook.
Dun
Dun
Duuuuun…
“Tucker, are you sure you hid our clothes well?” Church asked.
“Oh yeah,” Tucker grinned. “He won't find them in a million years.”
“Where are they?”
“In the closet.”
“…Tucker…clothes are supposed to be in the closet. He'll look for them there.”
“Nah, he won't. That's the last place he'll look in. C'mon, it's Caboose we're talking about here.”
“Fine.” sighed Church. “I guess you're right.”
“Let's take a break.” Tex suggested. “We're almost there anyways.”
Sasuke started to protest but Church cut him off.
“You won't be able to help him if you don't have any strength.”
Tucker sat down. “Finally.” He sighed.
Church sat down and leaned against a nearby tree. Tex sat down across from him.
She looked up at Sasuke who was still standing. “Come on Sasuke…You need to have all your strength for when we get there. Sit!”
Sasuke sighed and sat down.
Church began pulling out food and handing it out.
Sasuke took his food and began to eat it quickly. He really hadn't realized how hungry he was.
20 Minutes Later
Tex looked at Church and Church looked at Tex. Sasuke had fallen asleep. He lay on the ground curled up.
“We'll just have to wait for him to wake up.” Church sighed.
