Chapter 1: A Baby Girl



Neji and Tenten had gone out since they were 15 and were now 24. They had been married for 4 years before deciding to start another generation of
the famous clan Hyuuga. Now it is May and the baby is due anytime. Tenten has been excused of all missions on maternity leave. Neji, unfortunately
still has missions but has got his close cousin, Hinata, to watch after Tenten in the Hyuuga Mansion. Hiashi is also watching her, because he cares for
his nephew, and wants this baby to live and start a new generation of strong Hyuuga's.




~May 15~




"Hinata? Hinata!” Tenten yells out, while leaning on the door of her and Neji's room. Hinata came running and saw the very pregnant women leaning on the door in pain.


"Is it time?" Hinata gasps. Tenten nods her head slowly. Even though the baby was right on time, Hinata was still worried about her cousin's wife. She
helps Tenten to her bed and calls one of the servants. “Keep an eye on her and call the hospital. I need to get Hiashi-Sama!” She runs down the many
hallways of the Hyuuga mansion and finally find her dad in the elders' room. She opens the door with a bang, disturbing the elders' conversations.


Hinata: "Hiash-Sama, We need to-!"


Hiashi: “Now, Hinata, don't you think it was rude to interrupt our conversation?"


Hinata: "Yes, but-!"


Hiashi: "No buts. What you did was rude and I never want this to happen again. Now what's so important that you burst in like this in a hurry?"


"TENTEN'S HAVING HER BABY!!!” Hinata finally yelled out, tired of being cut off by her dad when Tenten was in pain.


"WHAT?!?!", the elders and hash yelled out. There was frenzy, stuff flying everywhere, and peoples screaming and tripping over each other. The lady
elders went to go help Tenten, and the rest went to organize her hospital appointments.


"Hinata, go get Neji!! Tell him that Tenten's on the way to the hospital, and the child is ready!” Hiashi ordered to his daughter. She was gone in a flash
and went to go see her husband.

Naruto was surprised to see his wife come in looking flustered. He was even more surprised well she grab him by his collar and screamed in his
face,” WHERE IS NEJI!?!?!"


Naruto, still scared by Hinata's actions, went over and looked at his mission file. "H-He's right now over hospital..." he sputtered. Hinata sighed a sigh of
relief and then rushed off to the hospital. Naruto, even being the Hokage, was still completely lost...and scared (Poor Naruto ^-^;) Neji, however, had a
different reaction then Hinata.


On a mission, Neji had to question a survivor of a battle in the hospital. Hearing the man go on and on and on and on, Neji was not that happy when
he left. But his day grew from bad to worse when he see's his wife fly past him on a table, breathing heavily with doctors and nurses surrounding her. It took him some time but he finally registered: His wife was having the baby. He ran after her, wondering why nobody came and found him. Tenten was, in fact, HIS wife and he had the right to know that HIS child was coming. He rushed to the room where she was, only to be stopped by Hiashi.

"Hiashi-Sama!! Tenten-she's-!" hash put his hand up to stop him.

"Yes I know. Having her child. But we must wait. The doctors and nurses are there, and the Lady elders are also in the for support. Just calm down"
Hiashi said calmly.

However Neji could not calm down. His wife was in there, in pain, and bleeding everywhere. But it did calm his nerves when Hinata came out of the room and told him everything.


"Tenten has been in labor for 3 hours and the baby is starting to come out. The doctors say its running smoothly and that Tenten and the child are
fine for now."


Neji sighed a great sigh of relief. Everything was fine. Now all he had to do was wait.



~~ Much MUCH later ~~

Neji had been pacing around for it seemed forever. His friends had come and gone, and it was now 3 am the next day. He couldn't sleep or sleep. All he
could do was pace .He tried meditating, but that didn't last very long. It was 5am when the Doctors came out with Tenten and the baby. They rushed
Tenten down to clean her up and the nurse with the baby came over to him.


"Congratulations. It's a girl." and handed him his child.


Neji stared at the small bundle in his arms. She was small, but healthy. She had a tuff of brown hair at the top and was pink. Most people would have
that she was ugly. But Neji .He thought differently. He thought the baby girl in his arms was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen next to Tenten. As the tears started to from the corner of his eyes, he handed her back tot the nurse and watched as she took her and went to clean her up.


Usually he never showed his feeling. But he let the tears come down. And he didn't even try to stop them when Hiashi came up.


"Happy?" Hiasha said calmly.


It took Neji a minute, but he finally managed a "Yeah".


It was all OK. His wife was fine, his baby girl was healthy, and he was happy.


Later that day when Tenten woke up, she finally got to see her baby and, of course, name her.


"I want to name her something...pretty but strong at the same time. What do you think, Neji?" She said softly to her husband, trying not to wake the sleeping baby.


"I'll want whatever you want" he said, whispering in her ear.


"Then what about....Akiko? It means "bright child". Would you like that?" she asked the genius. He nodded. A perfect name, in hope that she will turn out to be the next Hyuuga prodigy.


And so they named her Akiko Hyuuga.


Akiko looked very much like her mother, Tenten. She had brown hair like Tenten and even looked like her. But as normal looking as she was in regular human eyes, she was VERY different in the eyes of the Hyuuga clan. When hash came in an looked at Akiko, he noticed something. He called Neji over and told him.


"I don't think the clan will accept her. She doesn't have the trademark." he said sadly.


Neji was confused. “What do you mean they won't accept her? What's wrong with her?" he asked fiercely.


Hiashi looked down at the floor and soon enough said. "Neji....."


"Her eyes.....they aren't those of a Hyuuga."


"They aren't white."
