Recap
“Well as much as I'd much rather stay here and participate in this interesting conversation, Rebecca and I are going home.” Leonie jumped off the balcony onto the front lawn of the Academy. Rebecca quickly followed.

“Man I hate our team!” Leonie yelled the instant the two walked through the door. “Yeah, I know,” Rebecca said, depressed. Leonie instantly looked at Rebecca. “What's wrong?” Leonie demanded. “Nothing!” Rebecca said a little too fast with false cheer. Leonie gave her a funny look. “How long have I been your friend? I think I can tell when there's something wrong.”
“I just have a bad feeling. Like something in the pit of my stomach, like something bad is going to be happening soon,” Rebecca admitted. Leonie looked hard at Rebecca. “You're serious.” Rebecca nodded in agreement. “Can you tell anything from this feeling?” Leonie asked gently. Rebecca shook her head. “Well, no use in worrying about it now if you can't tell anything. Might as well go to bed and forget about it.”
The Next Day
“Ugh! Where's that stupid sensei of ours!” Rebecca shouted. Leonie mentally sighed and rolled her eyes. `I see someone is feeling better from last night.' The next second a huge cloud of silver smoke exploded next to the girls. They all (Team 7 is there too) got into fighting stances, but then the smoke cleared and revealed their late sensei. “Kakashi-sensei, you're late!” Rebecca, Naruto, and Sakura yelled at the same time. Leonie and Sasuke just relaxed and rolled their eyes. `Ah! I did the exact same thing as that stupid bastard!' Leonie got pissed. `He's copying me.' Meanwhile, Kakashi was trying to explain to the other three why he was late. “You see, I got lost on the road of life…”
“Liar! You're three hours late!” Rebecca yelled. Kakashi rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. “Never mind. Now it's time for me to explain your survival training.” Everyone instantly focused on Kakashi. “There are three bells. You must retrieve a bell to pass this test.” “What do we have to do to retrieve a bell?” Sakura asked. “You must…get them from me!” “WHAT!” Rebecca exploded. “You're a jounin. We're genin. How are we supposed to get the bells!”
“You can use any method,” Kakashi calmly replied. Rebecca was still incredibly mad. “You have till noon. Also, the only way you're going to get a bell is if you come at me with the intent to kill.” Naruto whipped out his kunai and charged Kakashi. Kakashi moved so fast, no one could see what he did until he stopped moving. He held Naruto's head with one hand and used the other one to hold the arm that had the kunai in it to Naruto's neck.
Rebecca's eyes were wide. `How'd he do that?' Rebecca wondered. “Now, now, getting a little impatient are we? I haven't even said start,” Kakashi chuckled. “Begin!” With that everyone rushed into the bushes. Kakashi looked around. No one was there. `Good, they know to conceal themselves.'
Then Naruto suddenly popped up and shouted, “I will beat you and prove that I am a worthy ninja!” Kakashi just stared at him. `My god this kid's an idiot!' was the thought running through everyone's head.
`Whatever,' Rebecca thought. She performed the same hand seals as the two on two fighting and let her mind go out searching for Leonie. Meanwhile, Naruto was getting his ass beat by Kakashi. Rebecca found Leonie and prodded her with her mind until Leonie let her in.
`There's no way we'll be able to beat him alone,' Rebecca stated bluntly.
`I know that.'
`So maybe this is a teamwork test.'
Leonie thought for a few minutes.
`You're probably right. You go find Sasuke and tell him this. I'll find Sakura. Meet back by the stand of oak trees by the edge of this clearing.'
`Alright.'
Rebecca faded from Leonie's mind as she released the jutsu. Rebecca then let her senses spread out as she searched for Sasuke's chakra signature. Suddenly Rebecca heard Sakura scream not twenty feet behind her. She rushed towards the sound and saw Sakura facing Kakashi. Rebecca saw Kakashi cast a genjutsu over Sakura. “SAKURA! FIGHT IT! HE'S PUT YOU UNDER A GENJUTSU!” Rebecca yelled as she flung kunai at Kakashi to distract him. Rebecca ran towards Sakura as she saw her unable to break free of the genjutsu. Kakashi was meanwhile recovering from the barrage of weapons Rebecca had thrown at him.
Rebecca placed a hand on Sakura and channeled some of her chakra into Sakura to disrupt the genjutsu. Sakura woke up and saw Rebecca standing next to her. “What are you doing here?” Sakura asked. “I heard you scream, so I came to help. Get ready here he comes again!” Rebecca warned. Kakashi had recovered while Rebecca was helping Sakura.
Rebecca and Sakura stood side by side, prepared to face Kakashi together. But then Kakashi disappeared. “What? Where'd he go?” Rebecca muttered to herself, as she looked around the little clearing for Kakashi. “Hmm. Seems like he's gone. Well Sakura, me and Leonie think this is a teamwork test because it would be impossible for us to achieve the task alone.”
Sakura stared at Rebecca, comprehension in her eyes. “I get it. The bells are to make us turn against each other.” Rebecca nodded. “I was supposed to get Sasuke but it looks like Leonie's going to have to get him. This should be interesting. Follow me.”
Rebecca and Sakura ran to the spot where Leonie and she had designated as the meeting spot. When they got there, Sasuke and Leonie were there already, glaring at each other. Rebecca cleared her throat. Leonie and Sasuke's heads whipped towards her but then relaxed when they recognized her.
“I thought of a plan,” Rebecca stated. “What is it?” Leonie asked curiously. Rebecca gave her an oh-my-god-you-are-so-stupid look. “I was just about to explain it. See, if we do direct attacks, that does no good. So we need an attack that looks direct but really isn't.” “Well what is it?” Leonie asked again, getting impatient.
“Here it is: Sasuke and Sakura, you will be throwing kunai and shuriken at Kakashi while I go and attack him head on, therefore giving Leonie a chance to use her concealing jutsu to sneak up on him and take the bells.”
“I get it!” Leonie said. She turned to Sasuke and Sakura. “There is only one weakness to my concealment jutsu and that is that it leaves faint traces of the user's chakra, so if it's only that person trying to sneak up on someone it probably won't work…”
“But if there's someone distracting the person you're trying to get to, there's a high possibility that it will work, right?” Sasuke finished for her. Leonie nodded. “Alright, now that we know the plan, let's put it in action.”
The group moved stealthily to the spot where Rebecca spotted Kakashi's chakra. “Here goes nothing,” Rebecca muttered. A barrage of kunai and shuriken launched itself at Kakashi. As Kakashi recovered, Rebecca launched herself at Kakashi. He blocked her punch to his head and told her, “Direct attacks won't work on me.” Rebecca just smirked as she launched herself at Kakashi. Before he could even register that she had moved, her fist was going towards his face. Kakashi barely managed to dodge it, but that attack was a feint, and Rebecca's foot slammed into the back of his knees, knocking him to the ground.
He instantly got back up and looked around. He felt a tug at his jacket just in time to see the bells get snatched from his vest and disappear. “Well, it seems like you guys pass,” Kakashi announced as Leonie reappeared next to Rebecca. “HELL YES!” Rebecca yelled for the world to hear. Kakashi winced at the sheer volume of noise the girl could produce. “This was a teamwork test. The only way you could have gotten the bells was if all of you worked together. Very good job. You're the first team I've ever passed.”
Everyone just stared at Kakashi after his last statement. “Tomorrow we start our duties as an official team. Dismissed!” Rebecca started running home, totally excited about becoming a real ninja. “You know, everyone at home would be amazed at what they see now compared to who we used to be,” Rebecca commented as she collapsed on the couch.
Leonie smiled. “Personally, I think it's a change for the better.”
