Chapter 4
Sakura stopped in front of the house where Lee still lived with his parents. Even though the people in her class were considered adults, many still lived with their families. Sakura lived with her parents and planned to continue doing so until she could save up enough money for her own place or until she married. The thought of living with her parents with a husband freaked her out a bit. She'd die if her parents knew she was `sleeping' with anyone.
Of course thoughts of sex immediately brought her back to her current position in front of Lee's house. It wasn't as if she thought about it every moment, but since the kiss in the forest, she was just a little curious about what it would be like. She blushed and shook off the thought, then raised her hand to knock on Lee's door.
She shrieked and tried to jump back as the door was thrown open and Lee ran smack into her. Both of them fell, Lee above her, blinking like he had no idea what had just occurred. "Sakura-chan?" he asked in confusion, looking down into her face.
She blushed and smiled. "I was coming to see if you wanted to train with me today. Kakashi Sensei is on a mission."
He suddenly seemed to realize that he was sprawled across her body on the ground and jumped up. Blushing, he helped her up and brushed the grass off her back, "Yes of course I'll train with you. Are Naruto-san and Sasuke-san still sparring together everyday?" he asked closing the door to his house and picking up her dropped pack.
She flushed, "Yes and every night too." When he looked at her in confusion she just waved off the comment and took her pack. Slinging it over her shoulders she walked with him down the path that led to his clearing in the forest.
"I'm sorry I knocked you over Sakura-chan. I was preoccupied and wasn't really paying attention. Unfortunately Gai Sensei has noticed my distractions lately and I've had quite a few laps added onto my training for today. I hope you won't mind," he said softly.
"Of course not. I need to do a little running anyway. It's hard keeping up with Naruto's boundless energy," she said with a wry smile. "I don't know how he does it sometimes."
Lee smiled and got a dreamy look in his eyes, "Naruto once said that he wanted a life of no regrets…I think that was very wise of him. He can't just quite, even if he's exhausted, because he would regret it later."
"You have taken his words to heart too, I think," she said quietly, smiling over at him. "You work very hard. I remember at the Chuunin exams you stood at the end. Do you remember?" When he shook his head she continued, "They said you'd already passed out, but even with a crushed leg you stood to face Gaara. It was amazing that someone could be so determined."
He flushed at her praise and thanked her softly.
"Lee do you have any regrets?" she asked as they entered the wide clearing where he trained.
He looked at her thoughtfully, "I regret not beating Gaara, but I tried my hardest. I regret losing so much time in my training, but I will make up for it eventually. I suppose I do have regrets, but none that I can't remedy in some form or another and some were simply out of my control."
She blushed and whispered, "Do you have any regrets about yesterday?"
His face softened and he turned to face her. He reached out and touched her face gently, "Sakura, I could never regret anything that you offered so sweetly. It was a moment I'd longed for since I met you, when you thought I was just a weird young man with a rather dramatic personality."
She laughed and looked up at him, "You still are that young man, but I like you that way."
He grinned at her and dropped his pack under a shady tree, "For that comment you get to run with me." She only laughed more and joined him in his jogging until she couldn't run anymore.

Later that afternoon they lay in the shade, munching on fruit, reveling in the blessed rest they could finally take. "You're a tough Sensei, Lee-kun," Sakura said rubbing her sore arms. Lee had made her practice her punches and kicks until she thought her arms and legs were going to fall off, and then he made her do more.
He grinned, "Kakashi Sensei is being too nice then. I'm surprised he doesn't make you do the same thing."
She shrugged, "He focuses more on inner strength and stealth. We're supposed to do this stuff on our own, but I've been lazy I think." She stretched and groaned, "Ah, this will hurt tomorrow."
He chuckled and pulled her closer to the spot where he'd sprawled across the grass. He reached up and gently massaged her aching arms and shoulders until she was smiling happily and completely relaxed. "Better?" he asked softly.
She murmured happily and sank back into the grass next to him, "Thank you Lee-kun. That was lovely. You're good with your hands."
He laughed at the innocent comment, "Thank you Sakura-chan. I'm glad I could bring you a small amount of pleasure."
She blushed furiously, "I-I meant that in a completely innocent way and you know it."
He turned to his side and smiled, "I know, but I couldn't resist a little teasing." As she smiled up at him so prettily, he couldn't help leaning down and kissing her softly on those pale pink lips. She sighed happily and brought her arms up around his neck, pulling him gently in. He rested his right arm over her flat tummy and gently pulled her side tighter against his chest. "You're so beautiful Sakura-chan," he murmured against her lips.
She smiled and kissed him softly in thanks. "Kiss me again Lee-kun."
He shuddered softly and leaned into her warm body, pulling her firmly against him. "Always," he murmured. He kissed her gently, gradually deepening the kiss as their excitement grew. Around them the sounds of fluttering leaves and chirping birds faded into soft gasps and contented murmurs.
As time floated by Lee found that he was rapidly losing the reserved control that he'd always prided himself on. The soft gasps escaping her lips and the gentle arch of her back, as they explored each other's mouths, were exciting him beyond coherent thought. As his hand on her belly began to drift upward and cupped one soft breast, he pulled back and blushed. "I'm sorry."
She looked at him in confusion, through a haze of arousal. "What? Sorry?"
He sat up and ran his hand through is hair, realizing that she'd done a rather thorough job of mussing the perfect bowl shape already. "I touched your chest. I apologize for my loss of control."
She looked at him like he had sprouted a new head, "We were kissing Lee-kun…a little touching will happen," she said. Blushing she looked away, "Unless…unless you don't want to…."
He flushed and looked over at her form, still sprawled on the grass, shirt pushed up where he'd left it. Her tight shorts were exposed quite nicely, giving him and excellent view of her legs and tummy. Her short pink hair was spread across the grass, framing her flushed face like a halo. He shouldn't be so aroused by the view, but he was. He body was hard and aching to claim her. What would Gai Sensei say now? Would he scold him for his lack of control or start spouting love poetry and cry? He sighed, forget what his Sensei would say and listen to yourself for once Lee! He rolled and to her shock pinned her form beneath his in the soft grass.
"Lee-kun?" she asked in confusion. He was seated so firmly between her legs and against her chest that his willingness to participate was no longer in doubt.
"I want more than anything to touch you and kiss you Sakura-chan, but that doesn't mean it is right for me to do so," he said seriously. "A ninja must demonstrate control and around you I seem to lose all of that. I don't understand why at all."
She could feel his arousal quite blatantly pressing into her groin. She flushed and stuttered, "Y-yes I see. What does this mean then? Can I not see you like this anymore? Do we go back to being friends?"
He lowered his face to hers and kissed her softly, "I could never be just friends with you Sakura-chan. I must have you for myself always, rules be damned."
She shuddered at his vow and hesitantly ran her hands down his green clad back. "What happens now then?"
He pulled up off of her and knelt before her sprawled form, "I don't know. I've never been in a relationship. Let's not rush this though. I don't want this to be one of those romances that flares high and fizzles out. I am serious when I say that I want to be with you and protect you always."
She smiled shyly and murmured, "That sounds promising." She sat up, carefully pulled her shirt back into place and smoothed her hair. "Thank you for that Lee-kun. I needed to know how you felt."
He quirked a smile at her and stood, "Physically or mentally?"
She only laughed and allowed him to pull her to her feet. "Spar with me a bit and then I'll buy you some dinner," she said smiling at him. He nodded, trying to look like the serious Rock Lee and failing miserably.

The next day Lee joined his team for a short in-town mission, so Sakura joined her own team for a little training.
"Hey Sakura-chan!" Naruto called happily as she entered the clearing where they liked to spar. "Where were you yesterday? We missed you."
She smiled and hugged the bubbly young man, "I was training."
"With Lee-kun?" Sasuke asked with a small smile.
She blushed and nodded, "He's helping me with my kicks and punches. I'm getting out of shape there and I didn't even realize it until yesterday."
He shrugged, "We really don't practice that kind of thing much. It's good that you're doing it on your own." They watched as Naruto cloned five copies of himself and began to beat each one senseless.
Sakura always wondered if it hurt to hit himself. She had never been very good at maintaining her own clone long enough to practice with it. Shrugging off the thought she looked back at Sasuke. "Sasuke," she began, "I'm sorry for being a silly little girl for all of those years…fawning over you and all."
He smiled slightly and shrugged. "It was kind of flattering having one of the cutest and smartest girls in town after me. Besides, you didn't know I could never return your feelings."
She smiled, "Yes but I know now and feel a bit foolish. It doesn't matter though. I've found a nice young man that I like and he likes me back. I hope it works out. In our line of work we never know."
He sighed and nodded. "A life of no regrets."
She smiled and murmured, "That's what Lee-kun likes to say too. It would seem that Naruto's words of wisdom have affected many of us already. I don't want a life of regrets either. I plan to grab onto him with both hands and never let go."
"Just be careful were to grab if you don't plan on letting go," he said softly in a surprising attempt at humor. She laughed and kissed him cheek, "I hope you will always be my friend Sasuke, now that I am no longer hounding you." He nodded slightly and turned to watch Naruto. He was yelling at a fresh set of clones that had turned on him with devilish grins and determination in their eyes. "Dobe," they both muttered softly.
A/N: I got a comment about being nice to Naruto. I promise that I completely adore him and when I pick on him in my stories it's just because he's so cute and funny. I just throw his antics in to add a little extra comic relief.
