Chapter 5 Gaara And Sasuke
Gaara just sat there on the roof next to his lover. He was thinking back to the Chuunin Exams where they first met and how much they hated each other. Gaara hated Sasuke because Sasuke was going out with Shikamaru who did not give to shit about Sasuke and Sasuke hated Gaara because he was just an asshole. Gaara knew that Sasuke and Naruto confided in each other and gave each other advice so Gaara knew who he had to ask about Sasuke. Gaara remembered it well because he had never been so embarrassed and he never been so bored with one of Shukaku's lectures.

Naruto sat in the middle of a clearing meditating. He had been like that all morning and sensing the Shukaku holder watching him was getting increasingly annoying and neither him nor Kyuubi appreciated it. Gaara sat in a nearby tree watching Naruto meditate and wonder why such a strong boy had to act so stupid. Gaara was one of the few people who knew that Naruto acted the way he did for attention or to show that he was there and not off on some other planet. Gaara had seen the boy spar and practice on his own. From time to time Gaara would see Kyuubi exit Naruto's body to help the boy with a jutsu or with close hand to hand combat. Naruto got better as the Chuunin Exams progressed. Naruto knew how to solve difficult situations with out blinking an eye but of course he kept his plans to himself because he knew they were not going to taken seriously by anyone.
So now Gaara was sitting in a tree waiting for the blonde to finish meditation in which Gaara doubted would be soon because he had been sitting in that tree since early that morning. Gaara had closed his eyes briefly only to look at an empty training ground but he soon was nearly startled out of the tree by Kyuubi and Naruto.
"What are you doing here Gaara?"
"Yes what is the great Shukaku vessel doing in such a place as this. I thought you would keep to yourself but I guess I was wrong"

"Now that should raise some questions. Why does Itachi not approve of Shikamaru?"
"Because he thinks Shikamaru will break Sasuke's heart and wishes nothing but to keep his brother as innocent as possible even if it does mean trying to force a break up"

"No it didn't. Itachi never got a chance to set the plan in motion because Sasuke ended the relationship. Now he is free and you can go ahead and take him"

"You got to be kidding me. You never had a girlfriend or boyfriend before?"

"Alright listen. Go to Sasuke's place and talk to him about anything that comes to mind. Even though he just ended a relationship he needs someone right now."
